Πέθανε ο Eddie Clarke | Οι αυθεντικοί Motörhead πέρασαν για πάντα στην ιστορία

Τρομακτικό δεν είναι; Μέχρι πριν δυο χρόνια τους είχαμε όλους κοντά μας. Οι Motörhead ήταν ένα πολύ ζωντανό κομμάτι της metal μουσικής. Έβγαζαν δίσκους και έκαναν συναυλίες, τη μία μετά την άλλη. Και ξαφνικά, ζήσαμε την ιστοριοποιήσή τους μέσα από τους θανάτους των βασικών μελών.

Ο «Fast» Eddie Clarke έφυγε από τη ζωή σε ηλικία 67 ετών από πνευμονία. Τα νέα επιβεβαιώθηκαν και μέσω ανακοίνωσης στην επίσημη σελίδα του γκρουπ στο Facebook στην οποία σημειώνεται «είμαστε συντετριμμένοι από τα νέα που μοιραζόμαστε και που μόλις πληροφορηθήκαμε σήμερα το βράδυ… ο Edward Allan Clarke- ή όπως όλοι τον γνωρίζαμε και τον αγαπήσαμε Fast Eddie Clarke- πέθανε χθες».

Ο Clarke ήταν ο πρώτος κιθαρίστας της μπάντας και συμμετείχε στα άλμπουμ από το 1976, μέχρι και το «Iron Fist» του 1982.

Ο εμβληματικός Lemmy, έχασε στις 28 Δεκεμβρίου 2015 τη ζωή του έπειτα από σωρεία προβλημάτων υγείας.

Αλλά και ο ντράμερ του γκρουπ Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor απεβίωσε σε ηλικία 61 ετών την ίδια χρονιά.

Após impressionantes shows ao lado do De La Tierra em São Paulo e Buenos Aires, o Armored Dawn, um dos novos expoentes do metal brasileiro no exterior, está de volta aos palcos e mais do que preparado para continuar mostrando o seu poderio musical.

Formado em 2014, em São Paulo (capital), o Armored Dawn  já alçou voos exemplares para um grupo com tão pouco tempo de estrada. Συγκίνηση για τον Lemmy στο Wacken

«Δεν γίνεται να υπάρξει Wacken χωρίς τον Lemmy». Με αυτά τα λόγια και την προτροπή να τραγουδήσουν το ‘Heroes’ του David Bowie για να τιμήσουν την μνήμη του frontman των Motörhead, το κοινό του Wacken ύψωσε την γροθιά του ανταποκρίθηκε στο κάλεσμα. Μάλιστα, το κομμάτι θα είναι ο ύμνος του Wacken Open Air 2018.

Μέσω της επίσημης σελίδας τους, οι Motörhead κοινοποίησαν το video γράφοντας τα εξής:

Δεκάδες χιλιάδες punksters, ροκάδες και μεταλλάδες ενωμένοι υψώνουν τις φωνές και τις γροθιές τους για τον Lemmy!

Το συγκεκριμένο κομμάτι, μαζί με άλλες 10 διασκευές, θα κυκλοφορήσει σε συλλογή με τίτλο ‘Under Cöver’ την 1η Σεπτεμβρίου, σε ψηφιακή μορφή αλλά και σε CD/βινύλιο, καθώς και σε box set με special extras.

Για τη συγκεκριμένη διασκευή έχει κυκλοφορήσει video, το οποίο αποτελεί συρραφή live και offstage υλικού μαζί με φωτογραφίες του Lemmy, ιδιαίτερα συγκινητικός φόρος τιμής προς τον καλλιτέχνη. Πρώτη και τελευταία φορά που παίχτηκε live ήταν σε encore στο γερμανικό Aftershock Festival.

Lemmy | Η γέννηση του μεσσία της σκληρής μουσικής

Στις 28 Δεκεμβρίου του 2015 έφυγε από την ζωή ένας από τους μεγαλύτερους καλλιτέχνες και τραγουδιστές που έχουν στιγματίσει τον πολυτάραχο 20ο αιώνα και την μουσική σκηνή.

Η είδηση του θανάτου προκάλεσε παγκόσμιο σοκ σε όσους ήξεραν για την εκκεντρική προσωπικότητα με τα δερμάτινα ναζιστικά ρούχα. Αν και δεν ήταν, αυτό δεν εμπόδισε ούτε την σταδιοδρομία του, ούτε τις σχέσεις του με χιλιάδες γυναίκες ή την τεράστια μουσική πορεία του να σπιλωθεί, κάνοντας “fan” και “groupies” να πέσουν από τα σύννεφα με την λυπητερή αυτή είδηση. Ίσως να ήταν “ενσάρκωση της Ροκ και Μέταλ μουσικής μαζί”, με τους υπόλοιπους -ακόμα και αν ήταν πιο πριν από εκείνον- να είναι οι “Απόστολοι” των ειδών αυτών. Ήταν ο μεσσίας.

Ο Ίαν Φρέϊζερ Κίλμιστερ (Ian Fraser Kilmister), πιο γνωστός ως “Lemmy” και frontman των Motörhead ,γεννήθηκε 24 Δεκεμβρίου του 1945 στο Stoke-on-Trent της Βρετανίας και μεγάλωσε στο νησί Anglesey (Άνγκλεσι), της Ουαλίας .Στην εφηβική ηλικία ασχολήθηκε με το να παίζει κιθάρα, ενώ εντάχθηκε στην πρώτη του μπάντα με το όνομα Sundowners-μουσικά επηρεασμένος από τους Beatles.

Μουσικά εντάχθηκε (μετά τους Sundowners) σε συγκροτήματα όπως: Rainmakers, The Motown Sect, The Rockin’ Vickers όπου με τους τελευταίους προέκυψαν κάποια αναγνωρίσιμα single (Dandy, It’s alright). Το 1967, μετακομίζει στο Λονδίνο για να συγκατοικήσει με τον μπασίστα του Τζίμι Χέντριξ, Noel Redding καθώς από μικρός τον θαύμαζε (οι Sundowners είχαν συνεργαστεί με τον Χέντριξ το ’68). Ο Lemmy συνεργάστηκε με τον κιθαρίστα Larry Wallis των Pink Fairies, σχηματίζοντας τον Ιούνιο του ’75, τους Motörhead, με την ονομασία του συγκροτήματος να προέρχεται από το τελευταίο κομμάτι που έγραψε όταν ήταν μέλος των Hawkwind. Αρχικός σκοπός του ήταν να ονομάσει το συγκρότημα Bastards, αλλά άλλαξε γνώμη μετά από προτροπή του μάνατζερ του.

Παραδόξως, το παρατσούκλι του Lemmy προήλθε από τα επίμονα παρακάλια του για να του δανείσουν χρήματα: Lend me (Lemmy) a few bucks/a peny.

Αυτό που έκανε τον “Lemmy” γνωστό, πέρα από την καθαρά Metal και σε κάποια κομμάτια thrash n’ roll μουσική, ήταν η πολυτάραχη ζωή του. Μια ζωή, γεμάτη με πολύ ποτό, ναρκωτικές ουσίες (εκτός ηρωίνης), πολλούς φίλους στο χώρο της μουσικής και εκτός αυτής και πληθώρα από γυναίκες· πάνω από 1.200! Δεν παραλείπονται συνεργασίες με τους Hawkind, Ozzy Osbourne κ.α και η εμφάνιση στο πλευρό του παλαιστή Triple H στην Wrestlemania 17 το 2001 & Wrestlemania 21. Έχει περάσει και από ταινίες με πιο γνωστές το Hardware (1990) και Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger.

Το 2015, έχοντας ζήσει μια πολυτάραχη ζωή αφήνει την τελευταία του πνοή σε ηλικία 70 ετών από καρκίνο του προστάτη ,στο σπίτι στο Λος Άντζελες όταν ο καρκίνος είχε διαγνωστεί μόλις δύο μέρες πριν τον θάνατό του! Το 2015 ένα ντοκιμαντέρ αφιερωμένο στην ζωή του περιλαμβάνει πολλούς τραγουδιστές (Ozzy,Slash, Scott Ian κ.α) που μίλησαν για αυτόν. Όμως ήταν τόσοι πολλοί που κόπηκαν στο μοντάζ!

Tα πιο γνωστά τραγούδια του(ς) ήταν : Bomber (’79),Ace of Spades(’80), Orgasmatron (’86), Hellraiser, The Game, Cat Scratch Fever, Bad Religion…

Ωστόσο ο Lemmy ήξερε να ταράσσει τα νερά ΚΑΙ με τις δηλώσεις του. Γι’ αυτό θα κλείσω με τις πιο χαρακτηριστικές:

“Είναι προφανές ότι η αλήθεια δεν αρέσει στους ανθρώπους αλλά εμένα μου αρέσει. Την λατρεύω γιατί ενοχλεί πολλούς. Εάν τους αποδείξεις ότι λένε ανοησίες ίσως κάποια στιγμή ένας από αυτούς θα πει: “Ω, για στάσου μια στιγμή, ήμουν λάθος”. Ζω για αυτές τις στιγμές. Είναι σπάνιες, πίστεψε με”, από το βιβλίο του “White Line Fever”.

“Κάποτε ένα περιοδικό στην Αγγλία ισχυρίστηκε ότι έκανα σεξ με 2.000 γυναίκες αλλά δεν είχε συμβεί κάτι τέτοιο. Ήταν μόλις 1.000”, στο Spin.

“Ό,τι είναι ευχάριστο σε αυτή τη ζωή, είναι επικίνδυνο”, στον The Independent.

“Οι άνθρωποι δεν γίνονται καλύτεροι όταν πεθαίνουν, απλά τους μνημονεύουμε σαν να είναι καλύτεροι. Είναι ένα ψέμα! Οι άνθρωποι είναι πάντα καθίκια, απλά είναι νεκρά καθίκια!”, στο βιβλίο του “White Line Fever”.

“O θάνατος είναι κάτι αναπόφευκτο, έτσι δεν είναι; Αυτό είναι κάτι που συνειδητοποιείς όσο μεγαλώνεις. Δεν με απασχολεί. Είμαι έτοιμος για αυτόν. Όταν πεθάνω θέλω να πεθάνω κάνοντας αυτό που ξέρω να κάνω καλά. Αν πεθάνω αύριο δεν θα παραπονεθώ. Πέρασα καλά”, στο Classic Rock.

On Friday, January 20, METAL ALLEGIANCE, the all-star metal band consisting of a rotating cast of musicians, including members of TESTAMENT and MEGADETH, gathered at the City National Grove Of Anaheim for a monumental tribute to our fallen heroes. Hosted by Jackson and Charvel EVH, the event was a who's who of the metal community playing some heavy music! This night marked the first time in a year that the core METAL ALLEGIANCE four — David Ellefson, Alex Skolnick, Mark Menghi and Mike Portnoy — played together. Joining them on stage were Marty Friedman (MEGADETH), Gus G. (FIREWIND, OZZY OSBOURNE), Vinny Appice (DIO, BLACK SABBATH), Richie Faulkner (JUDAS PRIEST), Mike Inez (ALICE IN CHAINS), Mikkey Dee (MOTÖRHEAD, SCORPIONS), Hernan "Eddie" Hermida (SUICIDE SILENCE), Arejay Hale (HALESTORM), Carla Harvey (BUTCHER BABES), Chris Jericho (FOZZY), Mark Osegueda (DEATH ANGEL), Phil Demmel (MACHINE HEAD), Gary Holt (SLAYER, EXODUS), Charlie Benante (ANTHRAX), Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT) and Billy Sheehan (THE WINERY DOGS). The show started at 7 p.m. with sets by Marty Friedman, Gus G. and MARTYRD. METAL ALLEGIANCE's a special EP, titled "Fallen Heroes", was released on August 12, 2016. The band united to pay homage to the three legends — Lemmy Kilmister, David Bowie and Glenn Frey — who impacted not just their lives but the world as well. METAL ALLEGIANCE took the news of Lemmy's passing very hard as the bands very first gig was on MOTÖRHEAD's first Motörboat cruise. It was on that boat where the idea to write a record together and carry the METAL ALLEGIANCE flag as a brand/band rather than a sporadic, special event show. In late 2015, the band scheduled a West Coast string of intimate club dates with a stop as the world-famous Whisky A Go Go. The year concluded with the band heartbroken saying goodbye to their beloved friend. They later found out that his funeral and memorial services would be held the day of their performance. The band was asked by their tour agent who is also MOTÖRHEAD's agent, Lemmy's management, close friends of his, and the owner of the Rainbow and Whisky to incorporate a tribute which, of course, they obliged. The day of their performance, Sunset Blvd. was shut down and their bus was parked on a street filled with tears, madness, partiers and a sea of mourning metal heads. They said goodbye to their friend that evening with help from MOTÖRHEAD drummer Mikkey Dee amongst a ton of other special guests. The next day they played their final show at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. Mid-set, they were informed that David Bowie had passed. Recorded at Conclave Studios in New York City, "Fallen Heroes" was produced by Mark Menghi and Alex Skolnick. The album was mixed by Jay Ruston in Los Angeles, California and mastered at Sterling Sound in New York City by Ted Jensen. On Friday, January 20, METAL ALLEGIANCE, the all-star metal band consisting of a rotating cast of musicians, including members of TESTAMENT and MEGADETH, gathered at the City National Grove Of Anaheim for a monumental tribute to our fallen heroes. Hosted by Jackson and Charvel EVH, the event was a who's who of the metal community playing some heavy music! This night marked the first time in a year that the core METAL ALLEGIANCE four — David Ellefson, Alex Skolnick, Mark Menghi and Mike Portnoy — played together. Joining them on stage were Marty Friedman (MEGADETH), Gus G. (FIREWIND, OZZY OSBOURNE), Vinny Appice (DIO, BLACK SABBATH), Richie Faulkner (JUDAS PRIEST), Mike Inez (ALICE IN CHAINS), Mikkey Dee (MOTÖRHEAD, SCORPIONS), Hernan "Eddie" Hermida (SUICIDE SILENCE), Arejay Hale (HALESTORM), Carla Harvey (BUTCHER BABES), Chris Jericho (FOZZY), Mark Osegueda (DEATH ANGEL), Phil Demmel (MACHINE HEAD), Gary Holt (SLAYER, EXODUS), Charlie Benante (ANTHRAX), Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT) and Billy Sheehan (THE WINERY DOGS). The show started at 7 p.m. with sets by Marty Friedman, Gus G. and MARTYRD. METAL ALLEGIANCE's a special EP, titled "Fallen Heroes", was released on August 12, 2016. The band united to pay homage to the three legends — Lemmy Kilmister, David Bowie and Glenn Frey — who impacted not just their lives but the world as well. METAL ALLEGIANCE took the news of Lemmy's passing very hard as the bands very first gig was on MOTÖRHEAD's first Motörboat cruise. It was on that boat where the idea to write a record together and carry the METAL ALLEGIANCE flag as a brand/band rather than a sporadic, special event show. In late 2015, the band scheduled a West Coast string of intimate club dates with a stop as the world-famous Whisky A Go Go. The year concluded with the band heartbroken saying goodbye to their beloved friend. They later found out that his funeral and memorial services would be held the day of their performance. The band was asked by their tour agent who is also MOTÖRHEAD's agent, Lemmy's management, close friends of his, and the owner of the Rainbow and Whisky to incorporate a tribute which, of course, they obliged. The day of their performance, Sunset Blvd. was shut down and their bus was parked on a street filled with tears, madness, partiers and a sea of mourning metal heads. They said goodbye to their friend that evening with help from MOTÖRHEAD drummer Mikkey Dee amongst a ton of other special guests. The next day they played their final show at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. Mid-set, they were informed that David Bowie had passed. Recorded at Conclave Studios in New York City, "Fallen Heroes" was produced by Mark Menghi and Alex Skolnick. The album was mixed by Jay Ruston in Los Angeles, California and mastered at Sterling Sound in New York City by Ted Jensen.
