❗️ Actor Jes Jespipat was announced as the replacement for Build Jakapan in the upcoming Be On Cloud BL 4 Minutes. B. previously withdrew from the project after a defamation lawsuit involving him and his ex girlfriend in 2023. The project is now in production and will likely air towards the end of the year.

❗️ Actor Maiake Kandis announced his withdrawal from the upcoming BL Red Peafowl. He was originally cast as one of the leads, being paired with Dollar Patchara. He later came forward saying his statement was fake news and that he is in fact not withdrawing. He also said he does not know if or when the production will start.

❗️ Former GMMTV actor Fluke Pusit (The Shipper, The Warp Effect) was announced as the lead actor in the upcoming BL Your Dear Daddy. He will star alongside Poonpun Jitaboon, an air date is unknown.

❗️ Domundi actors TutorYim (Cutie Pie, Middlemans Love) were announced as the leads in the upcoming BL Battle of the Writers. ❗️ The premiere of the upcoming BL Wuju Bakery has been postponed to September. It was originally scheduled to air in March, though due to an increase of the episode length and general production upscaling, the original air date is no longer realizable, according to the production.

❗️ Actor Yoon Phusanu revealed that he has left his management under Y Entertainment, following a dispute about his appearance in the 2023 Thai BL For Him. Main actors Dew N. and Tor A. later disclosed that they also encountered the issue of not receiving payment for their work from the company, along with accusations of se*ual assault from members of the production team. In an official statement Y Entertainment clarified they would transfer the actor's salaries as soon as possible.

Paramount silently uploads Knuckles mini-series "title card"

Take a look at this new logo for the upcoming Knuckles mini-series, featured in a promotional title card for Paramount's streaming service, Paramount Plus.

The image was spotted late Thursday after it silently appeared on Paramount's official pressbox, but Tails' Channel understands that the file can be traced to an upload to Amazon's content distribution service on 18 April 2023.

The style of the logo is very similar to the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Even though it used the same typeface, the major difference can be seen within the negative space of the letter C, as it evoked the echidna's spiked boxing glove.

Paramount did not confirmed if the logo was finalized, but fans are expected to get more details about the upcoming mini-series later this year.

The Knuckles mini-series is currently in production and slated for a release in 2023.

On March 13, At 12AM KST the trailer for Agust D's upcoming movie was unveiled, stirring quite the excitement throughout social media platforms with short performance clips and deep reflections on the tour itself. It will follow the rapper through the encore of his 2023 'D-Day' tour, featuring performances from fellow BTS members RM, Jimin and Jungkook as well as his younger sister, ATEEZ member Himari.

The young idol in question joined the rapper on stage on June 25, in the midst of her own group promotions, to perform their recently released single 'Pray'. This specific stage remains the topic of many conversations surrounding the 'D-Day' era, showcasing the impact their chemistry had on the audience.

Netizens expressed looking forward to their single's performance as it might be the only time it is seen performed live, with both artists having stated that they likely would never sing these tracks without the other - with the exception of 'Hikikomori' as it was heavily rooted in the vocalist's personal experience. Their setlist also included songs Agust D created in collaboration with other artists, namely; Burn It (ft. MAX), People Pt. 2 (ft. IU) and so far away (ft. SURAN).

Their relationship has been fawned over since the public learned about their adoptive ties in 2019, and although 'Road to D-Day' had quite a few interactions it seems there is still very little content regarding the two together. With the rapper often talking about his younger sister and boasting about her achievements during solo lives, fans have been ecstatic about getting to see more of this loving bond.

The cinematic cut will be available in theaters and IMAX worldwide on April 10 & 13. Ticket sales begin March 12, 11AM (ET). Check your local venues for varying additional screening dates.

Pokemon Avatar Legends mainline crossover game coming to Nintendo Switch in fall 2024

This weekend at the 2023 Tokyo Consumer Electronics Convention, Nintendo and Paramount Japan unexpectedly announced a “mainline crossover game” between the worlds of Pokemon and Avatar, taking both the Pokemon Legends and Avatar Legends names to form something new and very unique: Pokemon Avatar Legends, coming to Nintendo Switch in fall 2024.

This was a blink-and-you-miss-it reveal as part of Nintendo’s presentation on their plans to expand their collaborations with western brands thanks to their confidence in the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie made with Universal Pictures’ Illumination animation studio (technically one of Avatar Studios’ competitors!).

Right now the only info we have is in Japanese so I did my best with Google Translate, but the gist of it is that the Pokemon Legends brand is pivoting from its first game Pokemon Legends: Arceus’ historical alternate time period of an existing Pokemon region to totally alternate universes with regions and Pokedexes inspired by other franchises’ worlds, starting with Avatar.

The only images we have are these two slides from their presentation from Yahoo Finance Japan (if I can find them in higher resolution I’ll update this). One is just the game’s logo (which notably features a new simplified version of the Avatar logo) and the other is, very excitingly, a look at what are presumably the starter Pokemon, but instead of the usual three (grass, fire, water) there are a familiar four: water, earth, fire, air!

Water: polar bear dog (including the symbol from Naga’s harness?)

Earth/grass?: saber-tooth moose lion (specifically Sokka’s encounter with Foo Foo Cuddlypoops lol?)

Fire: dragon

Air/flying?: winged lemur

They’re literally so cute and it’s crazy seeing them translated into Pokemon style, but they did a good job-- whoever “they” is, not sure if these designs went through the standard Pokemon company process or if Avatar Studios contributed.

Speaking of which, right now we’re really not sure how this collaboration is going to work. The above is pretty much all the info we have right now-- it looks like the convention is mostly about business and Nintendo’s presentation was mostly about the Mario movie and Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios, with this new game basically just mentioned in passing as one of the ways they’re going to start expanding beyond that. I’m guessing there will be news in the US on Monday explaining more what’s going on from the Avatar franchise side. We’ve known for a while that Avatar Studios is making a big push with video games but no one could have guessed that this would be part of it!

On Friday, in the same day as April Fool’s, actress Y/N deactivated her Twitter account. Y/N, 27, didn’t share any reason for her unexpected departure from the social media site.

Y/N’s name began showing up on the said platform’s trending list Friday afternoon when her fans learned her account “doesn’t exist”. Users posted screenshots of her account’s blank page that says, “Something went wrong, try again”.

This sudden move by Y/N fueled more confusion among fans as she also left a couple of projects just last month. Fans were left to solve to find out who or what is the culprit with Y/N’s recent exits. Some wondered if this is for a new career move, or perhaps a personal life event is going on. But whatever the motive is, it appears the actress won’t be updating via Twitter anytime soon.

The actress-songwriter-producer had a busy six years. Ever since the year of 2016, Y/N appeared in at least two movies annually. She has been The Highest Paid Actress in both 2020 and 2021. She also co-produced a couple of films and series. She’s been doing and attending charity works and events every year as part of her advocacy for children’s welfare. In addition, there is a rumor going around about Y/N planning to dive into entrepreneurship.

The Don’t Look Up actress’ social media presence isn’t completely gone. Y/N is still active on her Instagram account although she often only posts images of her iconic Persian cat, Francheskat. Other than that, her last non-Francheskat post is about her holiday celebration in South Korea. I think a lot of people were skeptical when Zendaya announced she was working with Louis Vuitton. Their ambassadors have just not been impressive, but Zendaya might be changing that.

Zendaya attended this event to promote “Dune” and I think the outfit nicely represented the project, it certainly had the right vibe. The pants and vest looked really great together, and the tailoring was just perfect. Her hair also looked amazing and this was a really strong look all around. It makes me excited to see more from her once she starts promoting her upcoming movies.

Okay, time for another rant 😃. So I did some digging (It took me less than two mins) and looked back on when we got the first look at Bridgerton S2 and QC. For S2 it came out in Sept of 2021 and the show was released in March of 2022, that's about 6 months, the QC first look was released in Sept of 2022 and the show was released in May 2023, that's about 9 months. If the date that Netflix accidentally revealed for season 3 is correct, Dec 14 which is currently less than 4 MONTHS AWAY we should have gotten our first look any day now over the past 2 months. Now, because of the strikes going on right now in the entertainment industry many streaming services like Netflix are spreading out upcoming shows and movies to last through the strike. So if they have moved back the release date of Bridgerton S3 they’d do it by a couple of months. Now, many people speculate that if it is moved, it will be moved to April 2024 (for various reasons I don’t have the energy to list). So 6 to 9 months before then is between August and October. And in conclusion, if we don’t get anything by the end of October I’m going to lose my mind🙂, but maybe all my speculation is crazy. Maybe because this is the driest polin drought, and we’re getting excited over Netflix posting polin clips we’ve already seen a hundred times. WHO KNOWS?!

The Brief: NCIS said aloha to the franchise’s third offshoot and first female special agent in charge, hardworking divorced mom Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey), in 2021. “I feel like I’m in a movie: Platoon meets Jurassic Park,” Lachey told TV Guide Magazine at the time. Before shooting on lush Oahu began, production held a traditional Hawaiian blessing. The island culture has defined the series, with unique cases involving paniolos (Hawaiian cowboys) and Pearl Harbor survivors. Tennant’s team, a blend of mainland transplants and locals like surfer Kai Holman (Alex Tarrant), has welcomed other NCIS franchise agents for joint ops. The Brief: For a thrilling 14 seasons, the first spinoff’s Office of Special Projects hit the sunny streets of L.A. to chase down a rap sheet of baddies from Russian mobsters to psychotic serial killers — even an office mole. Under the management of no-nonsense Henrietta “Hetty” Lange (Linda Hunt), ex–Navy SEAL Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) and loner Grisha “G” Callen (Chris O’Donnell) were special agents with banter as quick as their draw. But both had endured pain: for Sam, a wife murdered by a terrorist; for G, a rocky childhood in foster care and a brutal secret program to train kids in spycraft.

Fans rooted for romance between team members Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), whose entertaining undercover missions included posing as cult members and suburban marrieds. The cast was equally tight. O’Donnell says, “The first day on set, the original NCIS cast came in. They were like a family. I remember looking at Dani and LL thinking, ‘Are we ever going to get as close?’ Sure enough, we did.”

Ok I know probably none of your guys are as plugged in to #chessdrama as I am but like, putting aside Hans's horseshit for 8 seconds, I am SO EXCITED about the championship match upcoming in 2023.

It's like a Hollywood underdog movie come to life.

The chess championship works like this: there is a "candidates tournament" where only a very small handful of the best of the best are invited to participate, and the winner of that candidates tournament is selected to face off against the incumbent grand champion in the championship match.

There are TWO "but"s about it this year.

1) One of the players invited to the candidates tournament, Sergey Karjakin, publicly announced support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine earlier this year. As a result he was banned from FIDE events for a time - therefore disqualifying him from the candidates' tournament. This will be very relevant later.

2) Reigning world champion Magnus Carlsen declined to defend his title. The likeliest reason being that he has held the title since 2013 and has repeatedly shown himself to be on a league of his own, and already defeated this year's winner of the candidates' tournament (Ian Nepomniachtchi) in LAST year's championship match... anyway for whatever reason he will not be participating and will relinquish the title.

So who is the championship match going to be between? The top TWO finalists of the candidates' tournament. The top finisher was also last year's finalist, Ian Nepomniachtchi.

And who finished second place in the candidates' tournament 2022....?

This is where it gets super juicy. The second place finisher was Ding Liren, who was not originally invited to the candidates' tournament, but was a last-minute replacement for the banned Sergey Karjakin!!!

The guy who wasn't originally even in the candidate's tournament now has a shot at the world champion title.* Y'all it's so exciting. I can't fucking wait until April. Like even if Ian wins the title you can't tell me Ding having a seat at that table isn't some chefs kiss shit.

Anyway here's my favorite picture of Ding Liren which I'm pretty sure was a photo op specifically to announce his invitation to the championship match, and you can't say they didn't flex at the opportunity (but I'm also laughing at the not properly buttoned up dress shirt and ill-fitted suit):

* it should be clarified that Ding Liren is like up there among the highest ranking players EVER, with a batshit impressive resume of his own, hence he was chosen as a replacement (iirc as the highest ranking player not already in the tournament). So it's not like he's some nobody. He is very very much somebody. it's just the circumstances around his candidacy for the championship title this year are so.. DRAMATIC

❣️ Our Skyy 2 - Absolutely loving it so far!!! It’s exactly the kind of lighthearted chaos I was hoping for and especially the NLMG episodes were so much fun to watch. Once again proves that PP just work in a comedy setting. ngl these 2 episodes were better than the entirety of the 12 episodes of the main show for me lmao 🤷🏼‍♀️ The SIMM episodes were a bit strange plot-wise lmao but JD’s chemistry saved the day for sure. Very excited for what’s to come!! 

👎🏻 A Shoulder To Cry On - I was very disappointed by this one. It was my first time dipping my toes back into the kbl world after TMS and I was hopeful as I read good reviews but my god it was so bad. it had a solid start but then the plot started reaching and it got weirder with every episode. and not to mention the lack of intimacy like I get they probably didn’t do it because of kpop or whatever but why even cast them to begin with then??? I have zero understanding for things like that. This was a bromance and I hated it lmao. bye.

The actresses were also seen in the workshops to Dangerous Romance, along with Papang and Pepper, creating further rumors about the 2 pairs being side couples in the show along with Marc and Pawin. Nothing is confirmed. 

❗️ Actors Billkin and PP (I Told Sunset About You) have registered a joint production company called BKPP Entertainment. It will be managed by Billkin, PP, Bell Supol, Panut (Billkin's dad) and Sureerat (PP's mom). Details about possible productions (film or music) are still unknown. 

❗️ Actors Bas Suradej and Copter Panuwat have left Starhunter Entertainment, which resulted in Copter and costar Kimmon parting ways as an on-screen pair. Their upcoming show Boy Never Smiles will still air as scheduled.

i've looked him up b4 but didnt see anything upsetting and just wonder if im missin smth

His is just a sad story. The Fangoria I bought for the Renfield article (April 2023 issue) had a writeup of Frye right after the Renfield section, and it just made my heart hurt.

Basically, he was born in 1899 and grew up in a household that considered acting something sinful, but he had a great talent so at age 23 he jaunts off to New York and starts doing plays on Broadway, he marries and he and his wife move to Hollywood and in 1930 he's cast in Dracula. He was kind of what we'd call a "method" actor today- in one Broadway play where his character gets in a fight, he kept a box of sand backstage so he could appear dirtied up instead of just changing into a dirty version of his costume- so like in between takes on Dracula, when Lugosi would strike poses in a mirror and proclaim "I AM Dracula," Frye would allegedly lurk in the shadows and watch everyone with wide, wild eyes.

The movie opened in February 1931 and I guess people just didn't "get" Frye, you know? He was then cast as Fritz in Universal's Frankenstein (again, method shit; Mae Clarke said Frye would "scuttle like a spider" in the shadows, never breaking character bwtween takes. "He scared the Hell out of everyone!"). Frankenstein opened in December 1931 and sealed Frye's typecast fate.

The quote isn't dated but Fangoria has Frye's feelings on this movie called The Vampire Bat: "If God is good, I will be able to play comedy, in which I was featured on Broadway for eight seasons, and in which no producers of motion pictures will give me a chance! And please, God, may it be before I go screwy, playing idiots, half-wits, and lunatics on the talking screen!" :(

He went back to Broadway but the plays he was in flopped. Director James Whale cast him as "Karl" in 1935's Bride of Frankenstein, and in the 40s was in a stage production of Dracula as well as stuff that sounds like shit like Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man.

Then WWII was swinging in to high gear so Frye started working nights at an aircraft facility in Santa Monica, had heart problems he refused to see a doctor for (Christian Science faith). Things were just starting to look good- he had landed a big role in an upcoming movie called Wilson which I guess was to be about Woodrow Wilson when in 1943 he had a heart attack and died. He was 44.

The following is verbatim from the article because this is what hurt me so: "Dwight David Frye, who died in 2003, remembered that his father received virtually no fan fame in his lifetime. On the rare occasion that a Dracula fan did recognise him and asked for an autograph, Dwight Frye, amazed that anyone recalled his pitiful Renfield, invariably sighed with a grateful sentiment. Considering his macabre professional downfall, his inscription was heartbreaking:

'Thanks for remembering, Dwight Frye.' "

... so yeah that's why I'm all like WE REMEMBER YOU DWIGHT. 😢

Louis Tomlinson documentary ‘All Of Those Voices’ to hit cinemas

The film promises an “intimate and unvarnished” view on his life and career

Louis Tomlinson has announced details for his upcoming documentary film All Of Those Voices.

Directed by Charlie Lightening (As It Was), the film promises an “intimate and unvarnished” journey through Tomlinson’s life and career with never-before-seen home movie footage and behind-the-scenes access to his 2022 world tour.

According to a press release, the film “explores his journey from a member of One Direction to a solo artist, capturing the challenges and triumphs that defined his path”.

Speaking about the film, Tomlinson said: “This has been something I’ve been working on for years, I’m really excited to finally put it out into the world. I’ve said it a million times but I’m lucky enough to have the greatest fans an artist could wish for, and as they always go above and beyond for me, I wanted to share my story ‘in my own words’.”

All Of Those Voices is scheduled to be released in cinemas worldwide on March 22 for a limited time. Tickets will go on sale from Wednesday, February 22 here.

Tomlinson released his second solo album ‘Faith In The Future’ last year, the follow-up to his 2020 debut ‘Walls’.

In a four-star review, NME wrote: “If ‘Walls’ found Tomlinson still figuring out what this part of his artistic journey should be, ‘Faith In The Future’ feels much more assured. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel of modern guitar music, but is a solid step forward as the musician continues what he’s acknowledged will be “an ever-evolving process”. Album two shows, though, that he’s very much heading the right way.”

Tomlinson is set to tour ‘Faith In The Future’ throughout 2023, starting in April with dates across Japan, the US and Europe, including a string of UK arena shows in November. Find any remaining tickets here.
