Sim: Daniel Lovejoy

I created this Sim as my first one since I deleted all my tray files. He’ll be one of the main characters now.

Daniel’s gonna be a Sim learning different skills. He’s a perfectionist, a bro and an erratic guy. Don’t worry, he’s not dangerous.

Hey, Peacey, one question about walls: is it possible for CC wall coverings to be translucent-like? I was thinking about some sort of wall covers similar to glass cubes. Can it be done?

Probably not, the texture is not what makes a object transparent, its the mesh and its shader. So if you wanted a glass cube wall, the mesh would need to have a shader that enables transparency.

Your coolest halloween costume? I don’t do Halloween but we have Carnival here. Last time I dressed up it was something vaguely military with riding boots, so I kept saying I was “the English Patient”.

Have u ever been stood up: Not by a date but I remember being stood up as a teen by some friends to go out at night. There I was, all dressed up and New Romantic (it was the 80′s, folks!) and nowhere to go.

Favorite pair of shoes: A pair of brown Prada loafers. Sadly I don’t have them anymore because I wore them until they literally fell apart. If they still made them I would save for another pair. I mean they lasted like ten years, it’s an investment.

Favorite fruits: Avocado is a fruit, right?

Favorite book: Oh, I used to read so much when I was younger! I love XIXth century literature, Flaubert, Austen, Zola, the Russians, but two little books that made a difference for me (though I’m not a religious person, but I do have some spirituality) are Siddhartha by Herman Hesse and This Is It by Alan Watts (this last one is basically Zen For Dummies but was a real eye-opener).

The issue was ME...

I don’t have anything to explain, but my dear followers deserve to know why I have been long absent. The issue was ME:

For the last year and a half, and to my shame, I developed an addiction to crystal meth. In May, 5 months ago, I was entered into a rehabilitation center, and there’s where I had been for these long weeks.

I got out today. My Psych recommended more time out instead of spending all day long inside my room; y’know, work, do exercise and go out (as healthy as I was before I knew that damn substance). When I get control of my everyday activities, I’ll be less active in my Simblr for that cause.

Let’s hope all this time in rehab was worth it.

Sim Story: Silver Leader

Night at the vet’s

After spending his evening with Alessandra Montalto, Shane went home, but Cotton was not feeling good. He spent some time with her and found out she was sick.

Immediately, and even he was very tired after swimming (he didn’t even dress up), Shane took Cotton to the vet clinic. They waited and waited, but finally, the white doggie was seen by a doctor.

Her sickness ocurred due to not befriending a squirrel appropriately: squirrel scratch fever. Luckily for her, she was cured with the most expensive treatment, and started feeling healthy and poopie soon after her shot.

At home, Shane slept just a little and, upon waking, took Cotton for a walk before work. He was now the one feeling bad...
