Teen Wolf/Theo Raeken headcanon
- Ever since Theo was young the only constants in his life were: Tara, his hair, and a book series Tara used to read to him about a young teen superhero with Intermittent Explosive Disorder. Considering his parents were always on business trips, he and Tara had to take care of themselves from the ages of five and seven respectively. When Tara died he lost two of those things, his big sister and the book series because the Dread Doctors wouldn’t let him take the books with him. - When he was eleven he was put in a school in Wichita, Kansas, and put with “Parents” that were hired by the Dread Doctors. He knew not to get too attached to these people. However, he couldn’t help but think that the little girl they had reminded him of his big sister when she was younger. That year was when he got the two things he lost when he was nine back, the little girl who reminded him so much of Tara had taken him to a bookstore after he told her about the books he remembered so little about and she had taken some of her allowance money to buy him one of the books, the first one, he read it in a week. - When he was almost twelve he went to another bookstore, this time he was in Grove, Oklahoma. He didn’t have any money, but he had a bag that could be mistaken for a backpack. He went straight to the section of the store that would hold the books made by ‘Jenna Geyer’ and put as many of the books as he could in his bag without it looking much bigger than it had when he entered. In the end, he got the second and third books. He saw two kids a few years younger than him with an older man right outside the bookstore when he left. The kids were a boy and a girl. The boy was blonde with freckles all over his face specifically his nose and right under his eyes which were a striking electric blue. The girl had reddish hair she had some freckles as well, not as much as the little boy though, one freckle was in the outer corner of one of her eyes which were a beautiful shade of jade green. The older man had scars under his eyes and one on his chin, he and the little girl shared an eye color. The older man had said to the kids: “Remember that your mothers are waiting back at the farm, so we have to hurry to make sure they don’t worry.” The kids had just responded with bright smiles and nods. If Theo felt a little bit jealous about their family dynamic, no he didn’t. - When he was thirteen he was put in a school in Omaha, Nebraska with another family that took care of him while he was there. The school he was going to was giving away books that weren’t checked out as much as the school library thought they would be when they first got them. The fourth and newest book in Jenna Geyer’s superhero series was one of the said books, so he got to take it “Home” and keep it. He finally read through the dedications of the books he had. The first one said: “To, mo chridhe*, my youngest son, my superhero, the inspiration of this story. Liam, I love you. Thank you for being an amazing, kind, sweet boy.” The second one said: “To, my sons, solais mo bheatha**. May you always know what it is like to have a family that loves and supports you throughout whatever you do.” The third one said: “To, my darling oldest son. Camden, may you always look after your baby brothers, no matter how far away you are or if you are with your seanair***, we can find you wherever we look. The fourth one said: “To, the fans of my books, my family, and my friends. Thank you for supporting my writing. I love all of you, and may you always know that I will be in your corner no matter what. Theo now feels a little less alone in this stupid life that he was born into. - Theo is fifteen when he hears that Jenna Geyer is making a new book, and he decides to go to the closest store he can find and get the cheapest phone he can to see the updates about said book. He has grown his hair out since the last time he got one of Jenna Geyer’s books and now has a mullet. He finds out the release date of the newest book is on October 21st, 2013, a little over a month before he turns sixteen. When he gets the book he immediately reads who it’s dedicated to. The book says: “To, my ex-husband. I hope you are happy that you hurt my sons, and I hope that you are ready to face the wrath of what happens to people like you in Dubnos****.” And Theo’s jaw just fucking DROPS to the ground because, after reading all of the updates about the latest book he could find and reading the dedications for the other books he never thought that Jenna Geyer of all people would be that harsh, but, as he knew from memories of Tara, you should never hurt someone that an over-protective sibling or parent loves with all their heart. - The next house Theo is put in his “Parents” force him to cut his hair because they don’t want to be seen with a boy who has long hair no matter if it’s a mullet or not. He cuts it, but not much, not wanting to lose the only thing that is still under his control. After he leaves that house he cuts his hair short on his own accord, not because some strangers forced him to. - When he goes back to Beacon Hills, he hasn’t yet become seventeen and he’s standing in front of his old best friends in the pouring rain, explaining why he’s back. He knows he’s being followed when he hears Stiles talking with someone who he can’t recognize the voice of. - When he gets back from Hell (for lack of a better term) he’s met with Liam and Hayden’s faces and scents, but he immediately pushes Liam against the wall, because he’s scared, but also because he feels the need to be in control of a situation for the first time in months. - After the final fight against the hunters at the hospital, he walks over to Gabe and kneels down in front of him, holding his arm and asking: “Does it hurt anymore?” Gabe had responded with a simple: “No.” Theo looked at Gabe and said: “Good.” - One day, after Theo and Liam get together, Theo is over at Liam’s after spending the night the day beforehand and they’re making breakfast for themselves and Liam’s parents when Dr. Geyer and Liam’s mom walk downstairs. Liam’s mom came downstairs first, seeing Theo and Liam singing along to We Will Rock You by Queen. “Hello, are you one of Liam’s friends?” Liam’s mom had asked when she saw Theo, having not met him before. Theo turned to her and when he saw who she was he whispered: “Putain De Merde... tu l'es... hum... Salut*****.” closing his eyes, embarrassed that he started speaking in French. Jenna just looked confused as Theo looked between her and Liam, who was wearing a matching look of confusion, while Theo continued to ramble in the languages he knows. Italian. (Liam and Jenna not understanding anything he’s saying) French. (Liam catching onto a few words, but not enough to understand what he’s talking about) German. (No fucking clue) Latin. (Again, no fucking clue) Turkish. (Liam and Jenna wearing matching looks of concern) Liam puts his hand on Theo’s shoulder and he starts to calm down. He’s still speaking in another language, but this time it’s just French. He starts to get angry with himself before mumbling: “Bon sang, Théo, Anglais. Tu parles à ton idole et tu ne peux même pas dire un putain de mot, imbécile******!” Jenna doesn’t know what he’s saying, but she knows it’s self-deprecating and she’s not having any of that under her roof. “Take your time, I don’t mind.” Jenna says, placing a hand on the shoulder Liam doesn’t have his hand on. Theo looks at her and blurts out: “I love your books!” Jenna looks pleasantly surprised at what he said while Liam looks confused because he didn’t clock Theo as the type to like superhero books. However he also didn’t clock Theo as the type to like him, so... “That’s very sweet of you to say.” Jenna replies, smiling at Theo softly, and then something dawns on him. The dedication of the first book coming back to him: “To, mo chridhe*, my youngest son, my superhero, the inspiration of this story. Liam, I love you. Thank you for being an amazing, kind, sweet boy.“ Theo just turns to Liam, eyes wide. Liam looks at him confused. “What?” Liam asks softly, Theo stares for a little longer before he questions: “Have you never read who the first book your mom wrote was for?" Liam nods slowly before confusion turns into embarrassment, making Theo smirk widely. Jenna looks between the two before clearing her throat. Liam turns to his mom before she asks: "So... how do you two know each other exactly?" Liam blushes even more before saying to Jenna and David: "Mom, Dad, this is Theo Raeken. My boyfriend. Theo, these are my parents." Theo stretches his hand out for David to take, having already been comforted by Jenna in her own goddamned home. Jenna has a smile on her face for the rest of the day, and Theo will be embarrassed for the next month because of this ONE encounter!

I have several more gay covers type songs if you want recs, it's actually kinda hard to find good covers and sadly I always seem to luck out on the ones I want the most but I've built up a good amount of them over the years (though they're biased towards pop/ dance and alt/ rock but not exclusively them) and some can't be found on spotify but are on youtube.
Gay for Guys:
The Boys of Summer by The Ataris
Mr. Sandman by Flash Mob Jazz
He's Funny That Way by Bob Dylan
Santa Baby by Nathaniel Rateliff
Bleeding Love by Marcos Veiga
Good 4 U by Our Last Night
Driver's License by jxdn
Murder on the Dancefloor by Royel Otis
Stacey's Dad by Sub-Radio
I Kissed a Boy by Jupither
How to be a Heartbreaker by Dean Geyer
Bad Guy by The Interrupters (the one from The Umbrella Academy)
Gay for Girls (the songs just sound too good not to include even if they're not for you):
Everybody Talks by Postmodern Jukebox (the one by Michaela Paige)
You Shook Me All Night Long and Teenage Dirtbag by First To Eleven
Jessie's Girl and Scotty Doesn't Know by Cassidy Mackenzie
She Said (Big Jet Plane) by TRINIX
MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) by Rain Paris
Idk why I never considered teenage dirtbag being covered by a woman before but that idea slaps actually

thiam headcanon
Theo likes cooking, not only because it’s a usefull skill; he actually enjoys just being in the kitchen and having four pots and a frying pan in front of him.
Liam, on the other hand, is only capable of survival-cooking, that is, “let’s see what we have in the fridge and mix all of that with some spaghetti”.
A couple years into their relationship Liam can’t imagine living without Theo’s meals. Theo has fun in the kitchen and always discovers new dishes, but also has his repertoire of meals that Liam is really fond of, so he prepares them quite regularly.
Actually, it becomes a thing between Theo and Liam’s mother, because at some point Theo asks her to teach him how to make Liam’s favourite dishes and she is so moved by this request that she even shows him all the secret family recipes. They cook, they talk and laugh and Theo feels like he’s become an actual part of the family.
Liam, of course, is aware where Theo’s love for cooking stems from. Theo spent many years worrying about his next meal. And even when the Dread Doctors actually fed him, the food was meant for survival, not pleasure. So Liam can still see it sometimes in Theo’s eyes that he cannot possibly understand that he has all these ingredients at his disposal and that he can make anything he wishes.
Thank God werewolves have a really efficient metabolism, otherwise Liam would have to spend hours on the gym to burn all these three course meals...

Hi, I love your stories! I’d like to read a headcanon in which Liam introduces Theo to his family!
Liam introduces Theo to his family long before they start dating. He doesn’t actually mean to but Theo gets a pretty nasty head wound and even with his healing Deaton says it would be best if he not stay alone.
Mason, Corey and Deaton had all looked to him as if he were katniss, screaming ‘i volunteer as tribute’ when he hadn’t even offered yet. sure he was about to, but they could have at least waited for him to actually say ‘he can stay with me’ before acting like it was already decided.
Liam knows they could have just stayed at the clinic but he has a blow up mattress at his for Theo and a real bed for him so he doesn’t think twice before loading Theo into Mason’s car and getting a lift back.
His parents were asleep. At least, they had been, until Theo, dopey with a concussion, had tripped over and bought an entire radiator down with him.
So, when Liam’s parents first meet Theo it’s not exactly picture perfect. Theo’s still bleeding sluggishly from his head and there’s water spraying out from where the radiator had once been and his parents are both in their pajama’s and Theo’s giggling and then Liam has to awkwardly explain (lie) that yes they had already been to hospital about Theo’s obvious concussion and yes the doctor had suggested that Theo stay with Liam tonight and yeah, Theo works out so that’s how he pulled a radiator off the wall and bent parts of it on his way down.
And how did Theo get the concussion? Oh well uh..We were practicing Lacrosse and he tripped and hit his head on the goal.
Still, it goes a lot better than Liam could have ever expected.
Dr Geyer sits Theo down and rebandages his head while Mrs Geyer fetches him some dry clothes and gets Liam to get the broken radiator to stop spraying the living room with dirty jets of water.
Liam’s plan to put Theo on the air mattress had also been crushed and he’d been shot a fair amount of dirty looks for the suggestion. So he’d ended up sleeping on the floor in his own room while Theo slept in his bed soundly.
Theo doesn’t actually remember that. What he remembers is the next morning when his head was healed enough for him to be lucid and he’d come downstairs to find Dr and Mrs Geyer cooking him breakfast, by the time he finally leaves the house it’s with an open invitation to come back for dinner anytime and Mrs Geyer’s pleas for him not to join the lacrosse team because as she’d told her husband and son, it’s a dangerous sport.
Theo agree’s and says he’d never dream of doing something so reckless. Mrs Geyer practically swoons at how safety conscious he is. Liam almost tells her that the real reason he’d gotten a concussion was that he’d dived head first (literally) into battle with a monster that was easily twice his height with only Corey as back up.
The fact that he did kill it wasn’t the point, the point was his parents were entirely fooled by Theo’s whole act and Liam hates that he wants to smile every time they bring up ‘that nice boy Theo’.
When it comes out that Theo’s sleeping in his car he gets given a permanent room in the house before Liam can even ask.
Mrs Geyer is a motherly mother. She’s all caring and soft and worries about Theo. She once offered to sew up his ripped jeans. He’d had to explain that he’d bought them that way.
By the time he and Liam start ‘dating’ which at the start was really just adrenaline-fueled make out and/or sex sessions Theo gets on better with Liam’s parents than Liam does.
It’s been a year since they met and Liam’s honestly been worried more than once that his Mom’s going to start asking about legally adopting Theo. Theo is charming, he gets along with both of his parents, they love him.
Liam had reassured Theo countless times that his parents would be fine with them dating. That they probably saw it coming, since it seemed most of the beacon hills population had.
And so when he tells them he’s really not expecting the stony silence that follows it. He’s definitely not expecting that silence to be broken by his mother to say.
“You really have no idea how thin the walls are, do you? We’ve known for weeks.” Theo almost swallows his spoon. Liam does.
#thiam#i don't know why but I do total headcanon the rents loving theo#and Mrs geyer being the 'cool mum' but also so not#and Theo LOVES that they like him#he rubs it in liams face all the time#and scotts#the geyers think scott is a bad influence on liam#theo almost cries with laughter when he finds out

Hello, idk if you've been asked this before, but what do you think of the relationship between Melissa and Deaton? I know they have very little interaction with each other, if any, throughout canon, but they're both pillars of Scott's life. Do you think they might have a behind the scenes relationship at all? Like, would they talk about their concerns with Scott, especially after Melissa finds out Scott's a werewolf, considering Deaton is an emissary and a healer and Melissa takes on some supernatural knowledge in order to heal (like the four herbs)? Could they have developed a professional relationship along these lines, bc yes Argent does know a lot but he's a warrior before he's a healer? Idk you always have very good insights, so what do you think?

I would love to imagine that Deaton and Melissa have developed a behind-the-scenes relationship where they get together over coffee from time to time to discuss Scott, but I cannot bring myself to believe that it would happen. I'm sure this isn't what you wanted to hear, but when creating my own headcanons (and that is what this is) I try to confine myself to what I can logically extrapolate from canon itself. In other words, I have to base these things on characterization and evidence.
So, in the end, I just don't think that Deaton and Melissa would get along. I don't think they would hate each other, but I see them having, when it comes to Scott, fundamental differences. They both love Scott, of course, and they both believe in him, but when it comes down to it, I think Deaton does a better job at parenting Scott than Melissa does.
Shocking, I know. Yet, I don't think it's arguable that after the end of Season 2, Melissa appears to be emotionally disconnected from Scott as a person. She obviously cares about whether he lives or dies, she comes through when she happens to be present for a crisis, and she is always depressingly available to lecture him about responsibility and leadership, but beyond that her attitude toward her son is one of disengaged confidence, i.e. "He'll be fine." In the two instances when he has emotional breakdowns that don't require immediate action (such as the end of Ouroboros), she is silent.
Think about Melissa in comparison to the other parents during that time period: the Sheriff (ugh), Chris Argent, Natalie, Dr. Geyer, Mr. and Mrs. Yukimura. Melissa only gets involved with the supernatural when there's a medical component or it comes at her. Compare Melissa's behavior (or lack of it) when Scott is kidnapped in Season 4 to the Sheriff's behavior in Season 3B. There is no 'where the hell is my son?' scenes; we don't even know if Melissa ever knew that Scott went to Mexico either time. Melissa never expresses anything remotely similar to Noah: "Father. Son. You don't take care of me; I take care of you." There's no scene where Melissa talks to Scott the way Natalie or Dr. Geyer talk to their children about events beyond their control, things like Allison's death or Rafael's absence or Peter's Bite. When we try to find something to compare the Yukimura family dinner in Galvanized (3x14) there is nothing to because Melissa never interacts with Kira, not even while they are in the same room in Silverfinger (3x17).
It seems to me that after Season 2, Melissa seems uninterested in Scott's girlfriends, his grades, or even his general mental health. It doesn't influence her actions. She doesn't express hate towards Peter because he terrorized her son, but because he flirts with her. She doesn't react to Jennifer threatening her son at all. She cozies up to Chris Argent without even a hint of awareness about how he treated Scott in Season 1. She doesn't smack the shit out of Stiles when he attacks Scott in the hospital corridor, as if she didn't restart Scott's heart with her bare hands not 24 hours before. And it's not simply confronting those who hurt him: she is so disconnected from Scott's life that she can't recognize that his strange behavior in Anchors (3x13) might be connected to the sacrifice even though she remembers Stiles having trouble reading later in the season. Let's face it: can you imagine any parent in the list above leaving their child home alone to bandage his own fatal wounds himself after an assassination attempt while they go take care of someone else's child? Only Melissa does that.
Instead, when Melissa acts, in Muted (4x03), Time of Death (4x08), Ouroboros (5x08), The Last Chimera (5x11), Sundowning (6x13), and Heartless (6x17), she always talks about protecting "our kids", sparing "our kids", etc., but she never once in those six episodes makes it clear that she's specifically motivated because Scott is involved. That's not a coincidence; that's a pattern. I think the ultimate expression of this occurs in Werewolves of London (6x17) when, in the hospital herself after a near-fatal shooting, she tells Scott it's not his fault, but then absolutely implies that it is his responsibility with "Don't run, you fight." Once again, can you imagine any of the other parents saying anything like that to their children?
You wanted a headcanon? Here's mine: Melissa is only capable of dealing with Scott's lycanthropy if she can frame it -- much like Stiles does -- in terms of him being a superhero. If he's like Superman, then he's always fine and she has no responsibility to act otherwise, right? So she doesn't worry about him. In fact, she makes it clear where the blame lies in Condition Terminal (5x04):
Melissa: I know that I can't be the Mom that says. "I don't want you to do anything about this." 'Cause you're always going to be involved, because not only do you have the power to do something, you care enough to do it.
While that's supposed to be praise, isn't it also very convenient? To her it's Scott own compassion that puts him in danger, so as long as he has a pulse, she's absolved of the consequences! And I just don't see Alan Deaton being comfortable with that.
Deaton is the only adult in Beacon Hills that looks at Scott and sees a teenager that needs support. He believes in Scott's potential as much as anyone, even more so, but he remembers there's something else there besides an alpha werewolf. In Raving (2x08), in Unleashed (3x04), in Currents (3x07), in More Bad Than Good (3x02), in 117 (4x02), in Orphaned (4x06), in Condition Terminal (5x04), he is aware and acts as if Scott isn't a superhero, but a young man with a life and hopes outside of saving people from supernatural menaces. Part of this comes from Balance, that he recognizes that part of Scott's virtue is that the teenager is just as important as the werewolf, and part of it comes from the fact that he simply cares for Scott without preconditions. Scott needs help and support, so Deaton gives it without expectation of getting something out of it.
So, unfortunately, I think that Alan would ultimately disapprove of Melissa's attitude toward her son, and that would preclude them from being close. It is my fervent wish that the movie proves me wrong.

thiam human au: theo has heart problems and once a month he goes to the hospital to make sure everything's okay. one day he tells his doctor that he's been dating this boy for a few weeks and he invited him to his house this weekend so he, in a very awkward and embarrassing way, tells him that he's very worried about his heart going crazy or too fast or whatever during sex ("not that we are going.... i don't know- i don't know what we are gonna do. but i just have to be sure) and asks if dying while doing it it's something that can actually happen. the man, who has been his doctor since theo was a kid, laughs at him and tells him that no, that's not a possibility, and then as he's leaving the doctor says "be careful and have fun!" which theo pretends not to hear. saturday comes and he does have fun (and is careful). he has fun twice, actually. lying back on liam's bed and then pressed against the shower wall. but he does not have fun when the front door opens while they are both (fully clothed) eating pizza in the living room, liam's head on his shoulder and theo's strong arm wrapped around him as they watch tv, and liam says "hi, dad!" to the man entering the house. the man who is currently staring at them. the man who is called david geyer. the man who is his doctor
"oh. hello, theo"
theo wants to die
"you two know each other?" "no" "he's one of my patients, actually" "that's not true" liam lifts his head from theo's shoulder and frowns at him. david has started laughing "he is. he was very concerned about wether or not he could-" "DAVID-! i mean. dr geyer! mr geyer, sir"
david laughs harder and theo might die
"hope you had fun. not too much, though. that's still my son" he's obviously messing with him but "no! absolutely not, sir. doctor. it was the worst day of my life" "wait, what?!" "liam shut up" "no! are you serious?" david keeps laughing as he goes upstairs, leaving the boys alone, not before saying "don't have fun while i'm home!" "what does that mean? theo, what is happening?" theo groans and buries his face in his hands "definitely the worst day of my life"
but theo's next visit to the hospital is actually the worst day of his life. he has to tell his doctor how he felt and if it was too much
he really really wants to die

When Trust is Earned
Warnings: mild blood, canonical death, jealousy
Ch 8/14 (Ch 7)
The Last Chimera (ao3)
---
“I want to see him,” Stiles says for the third time. Honestly, he likes Liam’s step dad, but he’s going to start swinging if he tells him no one more fucking time. How are you going to call Stiles and tell him that his dad is doing badly and then when he gets here refuse to let him see his father?
“He’s still asleep,” Melissa grabs his shoulders, giving him a gentle, motherly squeeze. “It’s going to take some time for the anesthesia to wear off.”
The chimera’s voice lodges in his throat, “but he’s okay?”
“For now,” she nods, coaxing him into one of the waiting room chairs. “You will be the first to know if anything changes.” Melissa gives him a smile before heading towards his father’s room.
Before Stiles knows it, he passes out in the chair. What feels like only minutes, but a quick check to his phone tells him it's actually almost two hours, later he’s woken by loud, rushed voices and they cart someone towards the operating room. Not seeing Melissa anywhere near the nurse’s station, Stiles tries to settle himself, but the chair is now proving to be uncomfortable and his mind won’t shut up.
Just as he resigns himself to getting up for a cup of coffee, Dr. Geyer bursts from around the corner, his wide eyes falling on the chimera. “Stiles!” Liam’s step-father rushes the small distance, worry pinching his brows and tainting his scent. “Your father is taking a rapid decline.” The chimera’s heart is seconds away from falling out of his ass. “There’s some kind of poison, we thought we had it under control, but he's getting worse and we don’t know what it is.”
“Well, fix him! You’re the doctor, figure it out!” Stiles will regret yelling at him later. Right now, his only concern is that his last remaining parent is dying. Used to frantic loved ones, Liam’s dad doesn’t even seem angry, only understanding before he dashes into his dad’s room. Then Stiles hears a voice he’d rather not right now; Scott's. Stiles sees red and throws himself through the double doors, lunging at the now Beta.
The wolf’s eyes go wide and he just lets it happen.
“Where were you?!” Stiles shouts, his fist making an impact with Scott’s nose before he shoves him to the floor. “You believed him right?! Where were you when my dad was being attacked? Huh?” Arms hook under Stiles’ own, yanking him off the wolf. "Too busy fighting with your Beta like a pussy than helping your fucking pack! Your family!"
Brushing himself off with a pained groan, Scott gets to his feet. “Your dad isn’t the only one who got hurt.” Blood is already soaking through the wolf’s white shirt. And honestly, if you’re wounded, why the fuck would you wear a white shirt? Was it your hope that someone would feel sorry for you? Make them want to coddle you and treat you like a child?
Boo fucking hoo. “You’ll heal,” Stiles spits, jerking out of Parrish’s grip. “I’m fine.”
“I didn’t mean me,” Scott whispers.
Stiles cocks his head to the side, not understanding. A door opens down the hall and the chimera gets a whiff of perfume he’d recognize even if he were still a human. “Lydia,” he mutters, racing towards her room. Skittering to a stop, he finds Natalie sitting beside her daughter’s bed, the banshee looks completely out of it. She isn’t even blinking. Fuck.
“No,” Natalie snaps. “Absolutely not. You are not coming anywhere near my daughter,” she jolts out of her chair, nearly knocking it over before she’s shoving at the chimera’s chest.
He stumbles more from shock than her actual force. “Mrs. Martin, please, I think I know what’s wrong with her. Just let me-”
“I said no!” She shoves harder, tears brimming her eyes. “This is all your fault! She never should have been friends with you. Any of you! Look where it’s gotten her. Get. Out!”
“Please, just check the back of her neck,” Stiles tries one last time before he’s all but thrown out of the room and the door is slammed in his face. Pulling his phone out of his jacket pocket, the chimera sends a quick text to update his Alpha about Scott and Lydia’s conditions. He'd rather call, but can't let prying wolf ears hear that. The reply is immediate.
Fuck. Stiles, I’m so sorry. I will do whatever I can to fix her. Please, you know I didn’t mean to hurt her. Please, tell me you know that.
I know. I’m not mad at you. I’m just worried about her. And…I may have, just a tiny bit, attacked Scott.
We’ll figure out how to fix her, I promise. It’s going to be hard, but I need you to apologize to Scott. Tell him what I did to Lydia. It’s the only way he’ll believe that you’re actually back with him.
But the bond…
Don’t you worry your pretty, little head, Kitten. I know you’re not actually siding with him. My wolf and coyote don’t plan on letting you go anytime soon. Our pack bond isn’t going anywhere.
Pocketing his phone with a smile, Stiles follows the scent of Scott’s blood down towards the basement, finding him, Melissa, and Parrish talking about Lydia.
“She’s catatonic,” Stiles says after letting himself in. “Theo dug into her mind.”
“What?” Melissa stares at him, “why?”
Scott, thinking he knows everything, though he is technically half right, says, “to gain an advantage.”
“And what was the advantage of going after Stilinski?” Parrish’s face scrunches. Not believing that’s possible. It might be easier than Stiles thought to get him on their side. Being so close to his dad might just help the chimera out.
“It left Liam and I alone so no one could stop him from killing me,” Scott growls.
Stiles snorts, knowing the truth, that it wasn’t even Theo who attacked his father. Theo may be many things, but he doesn’t have poison in his claws. “So he gutted my dad as a distraction? He said he didn’t want my dad to die, why poison him?”
“And you believe him?” Parrish stares at him.
Stiles shrugs, “he told me where to find him.” It’s as close to saying that yes, he does trust Theo without actually saying it. He hates that he can't say the words in front of Scott. “Maybe he knows how to save him. I can try and ask him.” The chimera already feels emotionally exhausted by this endeavor and he’s only just begun to pretend to align himself with Scott. How did Theo do this so well? He’ll have to ask, because there’s no way he can do this, no matter how good he is at lying to supernatural creatures.
“I’m not letting you go alone,” Scott’s voice is like nails on a chalkboard to him with his heroic bit. Stiles is getting a migraine. “He doesn’t know I’m alive.” Yes, he does. “Maybe that gives us an advantage.” No, it won’t. “We have to be smart about this.”
“Does anyone even know how to find him?” Melissa asks the million dollar question.
At least Stiles can be truthful about this part, “we don’t have to find him.” Stiles fights his smirk, “he’ll come to me.”
“So the plan is to catch him, right?” Jordan looks around for confirmation.
Scott nods, “absolutely. Here’s the plan…”
---
“His plan is so stupid,” Stiles groans into his phone, driving Jordan’s car while he stays at the hospital with Lydia for a few more minutes before heading to Scott's. Apparently being the sheriff’s kid while said sheriff is in the hospital dying is a great way to expedite the process of fixing his jeep. But it’s still taking longer than he’d like.
“Hello to you, too, sweetheart,” Theo chuckles from the other line.
Paying no mind to the sarcasm, the chimera continues, “they think you attacked my dad. They want me to talk to you about it and then Scott’s going to try and take you.” Stiles scoffs, “I’m supposed to curl up with his shirt so you’re not thrown off by his scent.”
“Like I wouldn't hear the second heartbeat,” Theo laughs again, “some werewolf he is.”
“Theo,” Stiles fiddles with the steering wheel cover, “why are they saying my dad is still dying if he was just cut up? That it’s some kind of poison they can’t place.”
“That’s why we’re looking for the chimera right now, I don’t know.” Theo growls, clearly pissed off about his dad too. “But I’ll meet you at his place, okay? I’ll have the chimeras keep looking. You know we’re going to have to play along, right?” Theo reminds him of his least favorite part of all of this. “I have to seem like I’m going to hurt you so that I can get us out of there.”
In a small voice, Stiles responds, “I know.”
“Do you trust me?”
“You know I do.”
“I’ll see you soon, baby.” Stiles’ heart flutters at the name. “Then we’ll save your dad. I promise.”
---
Stiles still can’t get over Scott’s stupid idea. But here he is, sitting on the wolf’s stairs, jacket next to him while staring at the open door with a line of mountain ash. He put it there on purpose. So that way when Theo drags him out of the house, they can make a clean getaway while Scott is trapped inside. That’s Stiles’ hope at least. Parrish can’t break the line either, so they’d have to wait for Melissa to come back home to release the wolf. Giving Stiles and Theo even more time to escape.
White converse sneakers come into view and Stiles reigns his heart under control. Can’t give it away to Scott just yet. But fuck, does Theo look good. Dark jeans and a black tee that just clings to his muscles in all the right ways. Then the fucker smirks at him, raising a shoulder as he steps over the line. The chimera can do this, he can totally do this. Think of gross things!
“Guess we’re all telling the truth now?” Theo asks, nostrils flaring at the arousal he can no doubt smell.
Stiles shakes his head no with a grin, playing his part, “you killed my best friend.” The words taste like ash in his mouth and make him nauseous. He throws the shirt at the Alpha, nearly forgetting that’s its purpose.
“Be honest, Stiles,” Theo balls the fabric up, tossing it aside. Stiles hates hearing his name come out of the other chimera’s mouth when it’s not for something serious. “Was he really your best friend?”
With another smile, Stiles shakes his head again and points at the chimera, mouthing ‘you’. At least he can silently tell the truth to Theo while his mouth says, “yes.” Maybe that’ll help keep his heart level too. He can smell Jordan getting closer. “Are you going to let my dad die?” Stiles hates this even more because he knows the truth. “What about Lydia?”
Theo doesn’t get the chance to answer because Scott jumps down the stairs and Parrish blocks the front door. Stiles hops to his feet, this wasn’t the plan. Theo was supposed to get to talk more- well, talk at all- before this happened. So much for caring about what happens to his father and Lydia. Snarling, Theo lunges for Stiles, jerking his back to his chest while the chimera tries to squirm away like the other chimera’s arms aren’t exactly where he wants to be.
Snarling once more, Theo brings a hand up to Stiles’ throat, claws poking at the flesh, the other wraps around his waist in an iron grip. “If you don’t want your fragile, little Stiles to get hurt, you’re going to let us walk out of here.”
The chimera tries to give the wolf his best pleading look, as though he's actually afraid of the Alpha's words.
“Let him go,” Scott growls, taking a step closer.
Claws pinch into his neck only just, “we’re leaving,” Theo states. Scott backs off, watching the thin trail of blood trickle down Stiles’ neck. He’s not even remotely upset or in pain. This is all for show, Stiles knows that. His claws remain in place, preventing the tiny holes from healing and the thumb on his waist is rubbing soothingly where Scott can’t see. “Parrish,” Theo checks the deputy as he backs out of the house and towards his truck.
Carefully, though it looks aggressive, Theo puts Stiles in the passenger seat, tires burning rubber once he’s behind the steering wheel. Once they’re far enough away, the Alpha pulls over by the rail depot. Without much warning, Theo unbuckles Stiles’ belt and yanks him over the center console and into his lap. “I’m so sorry. Are you okay? Did I hurt you?” Theo rumbles softly in his chest as he nuzzles the chimera’s neck, peppering the skin with kisses. He swears the Alpha whines quietly at the scent of his blood, Stiles feels Theo's tongue carefully lap the caked substance away.
“I healed, Theo,” Stiles chuckles, running his fingers through his Alpha’s hair. “I’m fine. You said to trust you and I did.”
“Thank you,” the other chimera lifts up, blue eyes soft when he leans in. Stiles lets him, relishing the gentle way Theo kisses him. “Now let’s go find the chimera that poisoned your dad. I lost his scent here, but he definitely went into the tunnels. Josh was sure of it.”
Sighing, Stiles carefully opens the door and gets out of the truck, Theo following behind him. He has no idea what this kid is supposed to smell like. Not that it matters really. The second they’re in the tunnels, Stiles can barely smell the Alpha and he’s right next to him. There’s echoing footsteps and pained grunts that definitely aren’t coming from them though. One last look at Theo and Stiles takes off towards the sound. Grateful that he’s a chimera now and doesn’t get winded like he used to.
Because this kid is really good at running. But not so great at hiding. Stiles chases after him through a torn, hanging tarp and finds him shaking behind a see-through crate. “You,” Stiles growls, eyes no doubt gold from the red hue his surroundings have become. He yanks the chimera up by his shirt before slamming him into the wall by his throat. “You attacked my dad,” his voice is shaking with anger.
The chimera, Noah, if Stiles remembers his father’s missing teen board correctly, whimpers. His fingers try to pry Stiles’ hand free from his neck. Broken bones sprout from his forearms and the chimera understands what’s killing his father. But even with that, the idea that this kid is the cause for his father’s pain, he can’t bring himself to kill him.
“I can take care of it,” Theo’s voice is right in his ear, dripping honey sweet. “If you want. All you have to do is ask.” The Alpha runs a finger along Stiles’ spine, “he hurt your dad. That’s unforgivable,” Theo growls.
Stiles nods, his grip loosening around Noah’s throat, “please.”
Noah slips on his feet when the chimera lets go, but Theo is right there. Claws at the ready, they dig into the teens chest, ripping his heart out and tossing it over his shoulder. Wiping the blood from his hands on Noah’s shirt, the Alpha faces him, “text Melissa, I’ll get you to your dad.”
His phone was already in hand to do just that, following Theo out of the tunnels and back to his truck. Keeping his promise to help him save his dad.
Don’t ask me how I know, but it’s bone marrow. There must be a piece of it inside him.
Halfway to the hospital, Stiles gets a text back.
It worked. He’s awake and asking for you.
---
“Theo already told me this story,” his dad says, looking over Donovan’s body in the hospital morgue. Theo told him part of the plan was to have Hayden tell her sister where to find the other bodies so they couldn't be resurrected too. His father doesn't sound or smell irritated. If anything, the man just seems confused.
Stiles wasn't sure how to face him yet, but by the time they got to the hospital, his dad wasn't in his room. Knowing his father probably shouldn't be out of bed yet, he wandered around the halls, following the familiar scent of gunpowder and home until he ended up here. “He covered for me.”
The sheriff squints, "why?"
"He saw it was self defense but that it still messed me up pretty badly," Stiles nibbles at his bottom lip. "He never once judged me for it and still supported me before he told me he knew. And Theo, he, uh," the chimera blushes wildly, "he also likes me."
"Why did you think you couldn't tell me?" His father smiles gently, "did you think I wouldn't believe it was self defense?"
"I guess not," the teen shrugs, curling his shoulders inward. "I mean, Scott kicked me out of the pack for it. He wouldn't even listen to me when I tried to explain myself."
"Stiles, I will always listen to you," his dad assures him, placing a hand on his shoulder. Voice stern and unwavering, "even if it wasn't self defense, I'd burn that library to the ground to get rid of any evidence there might've been. Hell kid, I'd torch the damn station if I had to. You're my son, Stiles. There's nothing I wouldn't do for you." The chimera falls into his dad's open arms, holding tightly.
Opening the door to get his dsd back upstairs, "there's something else you should know," Stiles winces. "I'm a chimera now, too. When Jordan flipped and burned my jeep, I inhaled too much smoke. I-I was dying. Theo," Stiles clears his throat, "Theo brought me to the tunnels and turned me. He saved my life." The chimera considers his words, but fuck it, his dad needs to know. "Twice actually."
"He wasn't worried you'd be a failure like the others?" The sheriff stops outside his room.
Shaking his head, "no. He said the Doctors used the same stuff they did when making him," the teen explains. "He didn't die from it, never showed signs of failing either and I'm fine, no thanks to the Nogitsune." His father nods in understanding, clearly having been trying to wrap his head around how Stiles was a genetic chimera and able to be turned. "Theo's done some sketchy shit-"
"Like killing Scott?" He opens his door and carefully sits back down on the bed.
"He's breathing, isn't he?" Stiles retorts, unable to prevent venom dripping from his tongue. "I trust him, dad."
Something clicks for his father then. "You like him too, don't you?"
"Yeah," the chimera ducks his head with a smile. "I really do," he looks back up at his dad.
His father sighs, "if you can somehow forgive Theo, see if you can do the same with Scott." The chimera growls at the thought. "He's certainly an idiot for kicking you out of the pack, but he was your best friend once."
"Exactly, once, not anymo-" Looks like he remembers you. "Theo?" Stiles whips his head towards the door, straining to hear the Alpha’s voice again. "I'll be right back," the chimera mumbles, already halfway out the room. He follows Theo’s scent until he’s in another hallway, standing outside a room, through the small window he can see Tracy and the Alpha side by side.
As if seeing the two as close as there are wasn’t enough to stir jealousy within the chimera, Theo’s words really lay it on thick. “I can take care of it, if you want. All you have to do is ask,” the Alpha repeats the exact offer he’d made Stiles. In the same soft, comforting tone of voice. Emotions ready to boil over or simply explode, Stiles has no chance of suppressing his growl. “I thought that was you I smelled,” Theo chuckles, “come on in, Kitten.”
Turning the handle, Stiles checks his anger at the door as best as he can, if only so he doesn’t rip it off its hinges. Amber eyes burn into the kanima, he almost lost his dad today, Stiles isn’t ready to lose whatever the fuck it is he’s got going with Theo. The Alpha wraps his arm around the small of the chimera’s back, pulling him close and pressing a kiss behind his ear.
Tracy rolls her eyes heavily at the pair, “I can do it myself,” she says, puncturing the medicine bag with her dripping talon. A few drops of her venom mix with the liquid and the man on the bed starts convulsing. “There, now it’ll look like his lungs gave out,” she smirks, big brown eyes looking to Theo for approval.
But their Alpha isn’t even looking in her direction. “How’s your dad?”
“Fine,” Stiles sighs, breaking his murderous stare at the kanima. “He was able to take a walk with me, so that’s good.”
Theo wraps his other arm around the chimera, pulling their chests flush so that Stiles is the only person in his line of sight. Tracy huffs and crosses her arms, sending a wave of pride over Stiles. “How did he take the news?” The Alpha asks, knowing Stiles had planned to tell him everything. With his full support.
“Okay, I guess,” Stiles still has a sour taste in his mouth after seeing the two of them together. Why would Theo offer to help Tracy? Yeah, he’s her Alpha too, but did he have to say it the exact same way he had to Stiles? It just feels wrong. Almost makes Stiles think that Theo really treats everyone like a pawn. Himself included. Even though the Alpha had ensured him that’s not the case. “I should get back to him.”
“You’re still meeting us at Sinema later tonight to help Josh out, right?” Theo asks, leaning in for a kiss that the chimera turns to have land on his cheek.
As much as he’d like to shove it in Tracy’s face that he has Theo, he can’t. Because agreeing to be with him isn't the same as Theo outright asking to be boyfriends. As stupid as that sounds. But not knowing what to call them is driving Stiles crazy. Guess he’ll add that to the list of questions he has. “Yeah,” Stiles agrees, wrapping his hand around the Alpha’s wrist to scent the skin, silently marking his territory.
Tracy stands stalk straight as her eyes narrow to slits.
Theo growls approvingly.
Message received.
Hopefully.

i saw that 'teen wolf hates families' thing and it put me off cuz ik it's was talking biologically but the fact they didn't even include the whittmores (adoptive but still??? his family??) was like ???????? PLUS NOT INCKUDING THE DUNBARS OFF PRINCIPLE. HE CALLS DR GEYER HIS DAD IM??
and yeah everything you said about teen wolf being about family and love bc literally that's what brought malia back and stiles and how they saved lydia i can go on it's crazy. the pack is family ??????
Agreed agreed!! I’m sure they weren’t trying to be malicious at all but it felt strange because like, Teen Wolf LOVES families. They love families enough to portray more than one kind. It’s one of the handful of things that Teen Wolf genuinely does very, very well lmao.
And yea, I didn’t mention Malia bc there’s many differing opinions/interpretations out there of the Tate’s, but I do see her as another very family-centric character. She even says to Corinne “I want my family back”. Mr Tate himself is interesting because he does end up sending Malia to Eichen at one point, yikes, but in season 5 we start with seeing him being very supportive of Malia, so I think they’re another example of one of those rough-around-the-edges-but-still-love-each-other family dynamics.
Again, it probably wasn’t meant to be all that serious, but it’s an element in the show that I really really love and I don’t want others to miss that aspect of it, so I couldn’t resist ranting for a minute lol.

Theo really doesn’t like kids, and why would he, when parents don’t really like them either, to the point where they pay unreasonably high amounts of money just to be left alone for a few hours. Theo doesn’t really like parents either and he doesn’t think they deserve to be left alone, not when they’re the ones responsible for putting those loud screaming machines onto planet Earth in the first place, but what Theo really likes are money and that’s why he’s about to be introduced to yet another yelling little demon and pretend he’s excited to look after them for the night and that he would not find great pleasure in strangling them first thing first.
“Liam, he’s here! Come say hi to Theo!”
Mrs Geyer barely opened the door and she’s already calling for her son, her coat on. She clearly can’t wait to leave the house, so this one must be a particularly annoying kid. The sound of footsteps immediately follows her voice and Theo prints his best radiant smile on his lips, thinking about his cat. That’s the only way he’s able to smile to kids.
“Theo can fuck right off.”
Theo blinks, because the kid he’s supposed to babysit looks like he could bench press him.
“He has a beard” He points out eventually, turning back to Mrs Geyer.
“Yes” She agrees with a smile that silently says that Theo is dumb. “He’s sixteen.”
Theo stares.
“Oh honey, I didn’t say he was a kid, did I?”
Now that he thinks about it, no, she didn’t, but still.
“Ma’am, I’m a babysitter.”
“Yes, and my son here set the kitchen on fire two times already this week, so a babysitter is exactly what he needs.”
“It was an accident!” Liam, the oh so not a kid, complains with an exasperated roll of his eyes.
“I don’t doubt that the first time was an accident, honey. I’ll be back in three hours, have fun!” And just like that she’s out, the door closing behind her apparently trapping Theo with a pyromaniac.
Which is supposed to be bad, like really bad, but Theo was already mentally prepared to spend the evening with a kid, how much worse can this be?
“So...I brought some coloring books and-”
“Talk to me again and I’ll punch your eye out of your socket.”
It’s too much of a specific threat for Theo not to shut up.
[The memory of my laptop is so FULL it won’t let me download the new Euphoria episode so I’m going through it to delete everything and I stumbled across this abandoned thiam prompt I started ages ago, it made me lol so I’m throwing it out here]
#thiam#literally don't remember writing this or what the plot was even going to be#but if someone wants to take the prompt and write an actual fic for it go for it
