I do not use YouTube on my phone’s browser, I am not insane

how do you downgrade apps :O

Oh just through APKs for android! Uptodown has served me well for my discord and spotify APKs, they have helpful dates labeled on each APK version so you know how old it is if you can't find your version number

You just have to remember your login for any app you're downgrading since it'll log you out (unsurprisingly), but the APKed apps are able to be updated through the app store

For IOS it unfortunately isn't that easy? I'm not sure, I haven't personally looked into how to downgrade there, but I wouldn't be surprised if you can't with how crappy apple is- you'd have to search the internet for an answer, sorry :[

#if you're on android you can also basically downgrade system apps and force stop them to quote unquote declutter your shit #I do it all the time #it won't get rid of them half the time #but it does prevent them from using up resources #my discord is ancient because of me using the APK though LMAO #123.7 or some shit #old as fuck🔥#my family is an android family though- we've always disliked apple and find android more reliable #hasn't failed us so far

im trying to install jp enstars on my phone also so i can play the next event during breaks but every time i try to click past the title screen or enter my transfer code i get an unknown error message. someone pls help this is time sensitive

I guess the one advantage of having dated my ex is that I know about APKs (and therefore have evaded the horrible discord update)

#he was a data science major #with a high familiarity with hardware/command line stuff/DIY stuff on the computer #so when my old phone was being stupid he was like ah yes you can install apks if the app store won't let you install netflix directly #idk if that's only an android thing though #isabel.tex #anyway heck the discord update (which i didn't get until today and immediately went hmm. i don't want to put up with this)

#look. yea all companies are shit.#but there are tangible differences between like. the Level Of Shitty certain companies in comparable positions are yknow #this applies to many companies but #this was about someone saying the above quote about android users and like #yeah google is absolute shit and so are all phone companies and phone network companies #but there is in fact just a Base Difference between open source software (android) and closed source software (ios)#and apple has the whole 'our os is tied to our phones' thing while android can be installed on multiple brands of hardware #there is a tangible difference in the base degree of freedom this allows for android users #something something my APKs would make steve jobs sick #anyways this is not me praising google as a company theyre still abhorrent but its just about like #the facts of the matter #im not defending android cause ive got brand loyalty im literally preparing to degoogle my phone run a different open source OS instead lmao #but like. there are levels and its important to be able to see the difference yknow

(used to use a discord server but then i found out about this when i got a steam deck)

i do also keep that old server around for an emoji server cause i have fakenitro on vencord

does anybody else have a discord server thats only yourself and nobody else exclusively used to send images from your mobile phone to your tablet or computer

#kde connect is great #i can send files #control video #(like use my phone as a remote for media on my pc)#remote input #(sort of like using a phone as a trackpad. its a bit shit but can do in a pinch)#also it can share the clipboard contents #regularly get 2fa emails and the like #just being able to ctrl c on one device and ctrl v on another #so good #theres also some other plugins i havent botherd to enable #like i can use my pc to send texts from my phone #can recieve remote keypresses #sync notifications (get mobile notifications on pc and vice versa)#notified about phone calls #and run terminal commands #its preinstalled on linux distros with KDE but theres a windows installer and an android apk and probably an iphone one too idk #kde apps my beloved

about the update. if thats what it is. for those of you on desktop you can go to your options and zoom out the page a bit. 90 percent looks way better on firefox for instance. but on mobile i cant give any feedback because i use an outdated version on purpose........ hm. i wonder why?
