It is finally done!

Is it perfect? No. Did I run out of black floss when I had about 1/4 of it left to do? Yes. When I went to Joann's to use my gift card while I still could, were they out of the one floss I needed? Yes.

I ended up using pearl cotton because it was near the floss because it looked like it could get the job done and it was black. You can't really tell the difference from a distance.

For this reason, I'm calling this bad boy Perseverance (Percy for short).

I has been unseasonably warm this week, so I was hoping to wear this outside this weekend. Unfortunately I woke up to more snow.

Regardless, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.

You know how companies used to make flour sacks with pretty flower patterns on them because mothers would make dresses out of them for their daughters? We should bring that back. Paper bags designed to be reused as wrapping paper. Jars of jam designed to look nice filled with pencils or homemade sauces. Fabric that's high quality enough to use as a patch.

An older work to be sure but still one of my favorite things I've made

Leather dice bag

The stitching was laid out after much effort to only need 3 sections of cord for the whole thing (ended up using more for the sake of I don't want the while thing to fall apart if one piece snaps)

The white pieces on the interior are 3d printed and help it keep its shape when opening and closing. This design went through several iterations before getting to this point, but with the pattern it's honestly a pretty easy project to take start to finish if one wanted to get into leather crafting. It just takes a lot of stitching. If I remember I'll upload instructions at some point.

A story of one knitting project I am very proud of!

So, once upon a December 2024 I was entranced by one of San's sweaters -

I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, I was thinking about The Sweater.

Oh, but I think I can knit it! - rightfully thought I.

And I did:

And then it was around February and there suddenly was a hard deadline - I knew, I'd want to wear it to the concert in March...so I knitted day and night!

The night before my flight to Seoul I was stringing it with a black cord😅

BUT IT WAS DONE IN TIME

And it's the best sweater I've ever made♥️
