That one poll reminded me of how one time in high school one Ms. Pease saw me quietly listening to my ipod in the hallway waiting for my next class and she just ripped it out of my hands. And I was staring in pure dumb shock for like 30 seconds and she was like "are you coming or not." She then proceeded to explain, once we walked the whole fucking school to her shitty little office she shared with 15 other people, that ipods aren't allowed in hallways. It's Now We Are Free from the Gladiator OST. I have no idea why it's there, only that the answer is obvious: I would pull #5 from my list of Concepts That I'm Not Allowed To Think Further About Until My WIP List Is Smaller:

I know even less than Gladiator knew about that time and place in history, and am, upon actually thinking about the concept, not the person to write this at all, but, you know, brawler Hob, lordly Dream, class differences and baths and patronage and pining. Maybe Hob is actually a wrestler, or athlete. It doesn't matter. As long as he's got big strong muscles and chip on his shoulder. As long as Dream falls in love with him at first sight. Humans AU with a rich background of sociopolitical action I would need to go back to school for. Hurt/Comfort, capital-D Drama, probably lot of grapes or something. Political intrigue. Stolen kisses. Gratuitous scenes of Hob sweating during a variety of activities. Thigh-fucking. Poisoning attempts. Bacchanalia. Markets filled with equal parts treasures and cutpurses. Old men in robes monologuing. An escape into the night. Lovingly poetic descriptions of Hob's hairy chest for @moorishflower. That's the sort of thing I'd write.

No because I've been thinking about this, but I've slightly gotten obsessed with the idea of TFP Terminus and TFP Impactor. Not just because I'm so damn down bad for a mixture of Aligned and 2005IDW (though that plays a significant part lol), but because I feel like their designs would be so so fun and they'd play so many interesting parts into his history, just like they did in mtmte. Also because of the designs because little known fact that I don't think I've mentioned before but I loved Terminus's design so much.
