Spreen and little Missa.

I was messing around in Illustrator, one thing led to another and I ended up creating a scene from a fanfic I wrote a while ago… I know it's not a big deal, I just… I don't know, I wanted to share it, maybe no one cares about this, but, it's special to me…

I had never drawn Spreen before, it was a challenge and it was a lot of fun. I think it looks good. All I know is that I want to hug little Missa and protect him from all harm.

It may seem like a very strange situation but this has an explanation…

Some context:

The name of the fanfic is "The descent into my hell…" (it's on Ao3) The story tells of Missa's adventures on his three-month journey as he searches for the "perfect gift" for Philza (when is kidnapped by wolves).

The third chapter (I love you, capo) tells us how Missa, who in one of his adventures, due to various events, transforms into a little boy, while is lost in the forest is attacked by mobs, but is rescued by Spreen (who had been missing for months), he is completely unaware that this child he is his brother, and he reacts violently, completely out of his mind, when Missa tries to explain it to him, thinking that it is nothing more than a trap by the federation to make him return to the island… However, this reunion is more important for them than they themselves imagine…

For anyone spanish speaking in the fandom, I wanted to share Becker Fox's channel.

He and a group of VA's are doing fanmade dubs of shorts and episodes and recently they made that original linked video.

If you know spanish, give them a chance! They might have a more crude or "rude" latinoamerican humour, in some of the jokes but it's worth a shot. (And there are swears).

Hablando de la mierda new age y todo eso, hay algo inherentemente cruel en la romantización del cáncer. Entiendo que la gente lidia como puede con las enfermedades pero la idea de que alguien superó el cáncer porque fue guerrera y fuerte de alguna manera responsabiliza a quien no lo logró. Tengo seres queridos que se fueron y otros que lo lograron, no creo que ganaran o perdieran una batalla, algunos sobrevivieron y otros no.

Totalmente, es muy cruel ya sea si logras curarte como si moris, porque te aseguro que nadie se siente un guerrero cuando lo único que está haciendo es existir/sobrevivir. Aparte da una idea de meritocracia y voluntad asquerosa, cuando si bien tener un grupo de contención y estar en dentro de todo bien psicológicamente ayuda un montón, no te asegura nada. O acaso todos tienen el mismo acceso a la medicación y atención médica? Todos tienen un techo, comida y una estabilidad monetaria que les quita una preocupación en esta "lucha"? Todos tienen la misma genética y salud previa a la enfermedad? No, nadie es igual así que la idea de que alguien "gane esta batalla" porque es un guerrero, y por ende merecedor de vivir no tiene sentido.

Siempre me pareció sumamente cruel para con la persona que murió y todes sus amades, porque la culpa pasa a ser de su entorno también. "No le apoyé lo suficiente", "mi amor no bastó/no me amó lo suficiente como para quedarse y pelear por estar acá conmigo" y mil cosas así. Es una de esas cosas que no sé cómo surgieron pero que tienen que dejar de decirse
