🩹doctor office, I love playing doctors office, I even make little patient sheets for everyone, set up a proper office, and waiting room, this games is great because there is a clear structure to play with and focus on🩹

🍨ice cream shop, ice cream shop is such a fun game, I have a Play-Doh set to make ice cream with that's really fun to play with, I like to set up my plushies in a line and give them fake money and then arrange them in groups to eat that candy together🍨

🦴puppy pound, playing things like animal shelter can be lots of fun with your plushies, you can make little introduction cards for each of them and makeup backstories, then you can lead another plushie or imaginary person through your shelter and introduce the animals🦴

🍼tea party, now this one is a classic, having real or pretend tea and cakes or other snacks with your plushies, discussing funny gossip or plushie land political issues, maybe even giving good life advice to your furry friends all this and more can be super great for playing tea party🍼

🪽funeral, this might seem morbid for some but for me it's very fun as I want to become a mortician, you can craft a pretty casket for the plushie, make a flower bouquet with paper, write a eulogy and set everything up nice and pretty, don't forget to make sure it worn make you sad though🪽

🧴beauty salon, I adore this game, giving a silly makeover to your plushies or human friends is so much fun, you can put bows in their hair, pretend to wash it, put makeup on them, paint their nails, give them silly outfits and talk about their life's🧴

🍥grocery store, playing grocery store isn't for everyone and I have to admit it's not something I like too much but for some people it can still be lots of fun, I especially like the organizing part🍥

📖library, this is a game I adore, you can make little library cards for your plushies and friends, set up books in piles, read story times to the visitors, help everyone find thr books they would like and give your recommendations📖

🌸flower store, for this game you can draw and craft lots of pretty flowers to sell to your plushies, advice them on the perfect way to put together their bouquet, add beautiful ribbons and lave to the flowers ans write nice cards for them, I think especially flowers out of pipe cleaners are amazing for this🌸

🩰ballet, now this could either mean you out on a show for or with your plushies or even going to a ballet with them, either way you can dress up beautifully and either dance together or watch a ballet on YouTube and pretend you are in a theater, I really like the Russian ballet's 🩰

• Gojo would be very hands-on in picking out the nail designs. He'd lean towards something flashy and bold, perhaps incorporating his signature shades of blue and white.

• Once their nails are done, Gojo can't resist showing them off. He'll take plenty of pictures and post them on social media, proudly tagging his lover and making sure everyone knows about their matching nails. (He @s Kento. And gets blocked)

• He can't stop admiring their matching nails, often lifting his and his lover’s hands together to appreciate the designs. He’ll frequently compliment how great they look, both alone and together. <3

• Expect lots of playful teasing. Gojo would make jokes about how fashionable they are now, and he might even pretend to be a hand model, dramatically resting the back of his hand on his forehead, reciting some shitty movie script you two had seen together.

• Surprisingly, Gojo becomes very protective of their nails, making sure not to do anything that might chip or ruin them. He wants the matching nails to last as long as possible. Hell, even if Infinity is active, Satoru is hellbent on keeping them pretty? 🤔

• Geto might be a bit more reluctant at first, but he’s always supportive of his lover’s ideas. When they suggest getting matching nails, he's a bit conflicted. But he trusts your word and he enjoys spending time with you. So he's down.

• Geto prefers something more understated and elegant. He would choose designs that are simple yet meaningful, perhaps incorporating symbols or colors that hold significance for them both. It could possibly be a distraction for his cult if it were to be too spontaneous.

• The act of getting matching nails is about spending quality time together. He enjoys the process, from picking the designs to sitting side by side at the nail salon, cherishing the shared experience.

• Unlike Gojo, Geto is more private. He’ll often glance at their matching nails when they’re alone together, a small smile playing on his lips as he appreciates the connection it represents.

• Most def would occasionally surprise his lover with small gifts related to their matching nails, like special nail care products or a follow-up appointment to refresh the designs.

i dont write spec scripts but if i did it would be about a plot where frank adopts a monkey called donnie to fuck with dennis and dee and puts it down as sole heir and gives it boxes that are full of bananas and so they try to gain donnies favor and turn him on frank by taking him on a sibling bonding trip to the nail salon but he starts throwing a tantrum when dee chooses a color that doesnt fit his fur at all and runs away screaming back to paddys. dennis goes dee you BITCH it doesnt match his FUR while hes getting his nails buffed and dee looks very unhappy because she picked the same color and her hair is kinda similar in hue to donnies fur in some places so shes regretting her choice now.

also mac has a side plot about trying to psyche himself up to fight the monkey for dennis and theres a training montage of him going to the zoo to stare at the monkeys in the exhibit and once hes finally back at paddys and ready for the confrontation donnie is being taken away in tiny monkey handcuffs and it turns out that charlie called the humane society because he was jealous of donnie getting all of franks attention.

dennis and dee arrive just in time to see the van drive away and they look suprisingly sad. so does frank. donnie was a friend to him. mac tells dee her nail polish doesnt match her fur at all and then him and dennis high five but its a very sexually charged high five

Paint the Wind by Pam Muñoz Ryan is a relatively easy book to read that nonetheless made me cry several times as a child. After the sudden death of her domineering grandmother, a young girl discovers she has family raising horses in the west, which she has always dreamed of.

A Bride’s Story by Kaoru Mori is a slice of life historical epic centered around both the daily life and marriage practices of Turkic Central Asia. This manga is meticulously researched and FABULOUSLY drawn. Mori is the kind of artist you only see once in a generation. I worship at her feet.

Emma also by Kaoru Mori is another work of historical fiction, this time set in England during the late Victorian period (my beloved). It follows a maid who falls in love with the son of a social climbing nouveau riche family, interspersed again with depictions of daily life of the time period.

The Right to Sex by Amia Srinivasan is a collection of feminist essays that follow the rise and dispersion of the incel movement, particularly the multi murder-suicide of Elliot Rodger. Amia explores the sexual expectations of heterosexual culture and interrogates the scripts set up that facilitate it. General trigger warning for discussions of rape and misogyny.

Second Place by Rachel Cusk is a short work of lit fic about a woman’s emotional affair with an artist who hates her. That’s kind of the best way I can describe it but it’s also about motherhood, marriage, solitude, loneliness, Covid lockdown (tangentially), and old age. The narrator invites a painter she admires to take residence in a cottage on her property for a season, and things don’t go well.

On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong is part memoir part letter to his mother reminiscing on the childhood he shared with her. Ocean’s mother cannot read, and thus this letter divulges far more about Ocean’s life than he might ever actually tell her. He relates his experience growing up in poverty as a gay Vietnamese immigrant with two women marked permanently by the aftereffects of the Vietnam war.

Time Is a Mother by Ocean Vuong is his second poetry collection which follows the death of his mother. Vuong explores the relationship of writing and grief, and honestly I have a hard time summarizing any poetry collection because I’m only an amateur poetry enthusiast. Amazon History of a Former Nail Salon Worker and Dear T hit especially hard if you’ve read the book I recommend above.

Autobiography of Red by Anne Carson is a novel in verse reimagining the myth of Geryon and Hercules as the bildungsroman of Geryon, who falls in love, or the closest thing to it, with Hercules as a young man and meets him later in life only to be disillusioned about who he’s become. Not to be irreverent but this is the best mslash lovers to strangers fanfictiony Greek retelling I’ve ever read. Song of Achilles eat your heart out. (I’m reading the “sequel” red doc> right now but I’m not finished with it yet.)

A Psalm for the Wild Built by Becky Chambers on the surface is a solarpunk novella set on a world fully recovered from its Industrial Revolution, but in actuality it explores dissatisfaction with life even in the closest thing we could ever get to a utopia. A monk named Dex realizes they are no longer happy in their profession and strikes out to serve tea in the countryside, and meets a robot from the forest who wants to know if humanity needs anything. A very kind book.

Emerald's character description and 2006-7 pop youth culture, blended with entitlement and vulnerability, led the design process.

Reading the script, the grunginess of a noughties era Kate Moss and the rock-chic of Georgia May Jagger were in my mind's eye. See Venetia playing drunk tennis in killer heels, a disco inspired one-piece and a cigarette in hand!

Venetia just had to be a teenage model-type with brittle, bleached hair, dark roots and a tons of period authentic, and noticeable, bonded hair extensions.

Taking Alison's shoulder length, light brown hair, her transformation began with the colour and extensions, allowing time before filming for the colour to lift away from any kind of 'salon' vibe to a mucky regrowth with deliberate split ends.

Make-Up hinged around grungy kohl eyeliner, frosted lips, imperfect fake tan, bronzer and chipped nails. Eyebrows were lifted with tint.

•

A cluster of star tattoos on Venetia's hand mirror those of her bother Felix, taken from the family crest. There's a lightning bolt on her ankle and an inner arm linear tattoo in the same place as Felix's 'carpe diem! A far- east gap year kind of tat, not obviously literal, my design was inspired by the 'shepherd's pie' scene. A play on words, I hand-wrote the 'Pi' sequence 3.14159265359 in a made up font, which was then abstracted to the final design using ProCreate. You'd never know but the detail is there! On her shoulder blade is a rose tattoo created in the style of Sailor Jerry.

All of which reflect Venetia's brittle character, masked by everyday dress-up, affording Emerald the detail for close-ups with a 1:33 format.

The 2025 AEW Manifesto

I thought that I would watch AEW more regularly now that it's available on Max live and on demand, but I've actually stopped watching AEW pretty much altogether. I stopped watching Worlds End 2024 right before that show's main event, and the current Toni Storm and Death Riders storylines feel insulting to my intelligence. One over-complicates wrestling with yet another tongue-in-cheek storyline involving Toni Storm and Mariah May, and the other feels like a muddled, underbaked mess.

That left me with a grip of time to reflect on what I want from AEW, what they could do to get me watching again regularly. So, here's a manifesto I would theoretically nail to the door of 1 EverBank Stadium Drive, Jacksonville, Florida, United States.

The 2025 AEW Manifesto

I. Things AEW will no longer do

Any angles involving cars (wrestlers destroying each other’s cars, wrestlers trying to run their opponents over with their cars, wrestlers crashing their cars into other wrestlers’ cars)

Any angles involving food (no cake smashing)

Hold Stadium Stampede and Blood and Guts as yearly events

Money in the Cash-style contracts

Backstage beatdowns of random security guards and production staff

In-ring championship celebrations

Music videos featuring wrestlers

Skits outside of the ring (in restaurants, wrestlers’ homes, tanning salons, etc.)

More than 1 DQ finish a show (this includes whether a referee sees the disqualifying move)

Promos that tear down their opponents, even if the wrestlers then try to build the wrestler back up by the end of the promo

Chrysta wasn't born in Santa Carla, but she's been coming to live with her aunt (mother's side) every summer since she was around seven, so she's always considered herself a local- the same goes for other residences who know her well. She lives way back in good old Utah when during the school year and other seasons. With her father and his wife, after her mom was put in the hospital due to some health issues. But she tries to call her mom every night.

Chrysta's summer home is along the small strip of stores near the boardwalk, where her Aunts house is a makeshift hair and nail salon.

The front is the whole workplace, while a hall separates the rest of the house- and upstairs basement made into Chrysta's room. Chrysta also grew up getting to know Mister Emerson well as when she was around nine her aunt had sent her over to the old man's house to give him some home-cook meals as a thanks for a favor Chrysta was never told- kept secret from her.

And ever since she was kind of a delivery girl for her aunt - if of course she didn't hate it, she enjoyed Mister Emersons company and his silly stories about vampires.

Sure it was definitely something that made ten year old her hide under the covers with a flashlight every night, but the older she got, the more she began to outgrow the fear over something so ridiculous- especially with her aunts rules and stories. She wasn't allowed to even be out on the boardwalk by the time the sun set.

Her curfew was always Eight on the dot, not allowed outside or to invite anyone in. No matter how many times she asked for a genuine answer, her aunt would always say the same thing: "That's when the vampires come out to play."

Of course Chrysta is a teenager in the 80s, and she wants to live her summer days to the fullest, so she usually waits till her Aunt retires to her bedroom to watch soap operas, and sneaks out her room window and goes to have a night out on the town... That's how she met the boys. 👀👀

Since the beginning of the summers, Chrysta had been visiting Santa Carla, and she had already built her reputation of being a drop-dead flirt and total tease. She knows how to sweet talk herself out of a situation or to get a free bite to eat. Of course, even if she's built the label for herself, she isn't cruel or bratty.

She's a total sweetheart! Chrysta seems to get along with many if they're willing to be friendly back of course and even if she isn't best friends with anyone, she's at least a little acquainted or on good terms with most.

So, being the little tease that our Miss Campbell is, Chrysta met the well-known trouble makers of the boardwalk back at the beginning of the summer 87... Er, well, sort of.

(SPOILERS FOR THE LOST BOYS PREQEUL SCRIPT YOU CAN READ FOR FREE HERE!)

Also, wanna write a story or make a comic about how she meets them and her whole backstory, but I'm still thinking about it, but here's the basic outline!

Chrysta is a part of the extremely distant Russian descendant on her mother's side. Yet her face is the spitting image of the princess Anastasia David had fallen for many years ago... It was what had gotten the bleached haired individual and the rest of his motley crew to keep staring at the stranger and her friends standing afar.

It wasn't until Chrysta's friends had whispered to her about the watchful eyes of the boys all perched on their bikes Chrysta had looked back to fully face the four. Eyes locking with the pair of cold blue ones.

As confident as she had been labeled, she immediately brought her gaze shyly to the ground, excusing herself from her friends and disappearing into the busying crowds along the boardwalk. Moments later, the four boys followed after, leaving their bikes parked outside the video store.

And the pursuit continued for a while, stalking and searching through crowds, picking out anyone who looked similiar to the strange, familiar stranger, and when they had found her once more, she had looked back to see them following, only to hurry off and away from their eyesight again.

And it was only after Chrysta had disappeared through the door of the salon she worked at, giving one final expecting glance toward the four vampires they realized something.

She wasn't running away. She was playing hard to get.

So the game of cats and mouse continued almost routinely every night she snuck out, no matter where she was, they'd be there a moment or two later, somtimes vice versa.

And it wasn't until one night Chrysta had decided to hide away inside the video store she'd ACTUALLY meet David, Marko, Dwayne, and Paul. She'd been sneaking around trying to avoid them in the store, peeking around aisles and walking into the next one when they would go to the one she was in- just stupid cheesy cute stuff like that that .awesome me squeal and roll around giggling.

Chrysta does finally get trapped when David and Dwayne cut her off on the opposite side of the aisle, Mark and Paul, on the other, leaving her nowhere to go.

She did talk to them and finally got some names, pulled on her charm, ect- overall playing along and enjoying the company of these new strangers... Until Max had shown up, assuming the the boys were bothering her and tried to get them to leave, thankfully Chrysta explained they weren't doing any harm and made sure to keep their case clean in front of the Video store owner.

Reluctantly, he believed her, but told them to leave as he'd told them multiple times not to come around here anymore.

As a thanks for sticking up for them, David offered her a ride on their bikes, just to check out the boardwalk and beach. Just 'one' ride.

Chrysta was a little unsure at first, like those stoies or cliches of the girl running away on the back of a boys bike. But after some convincing at playful peer pressure from the rest if them, she decided why not. A little rebellion never hurt anyone!

Actors get their breaks on Broadway in different ways. Steven Huynh, who has spent the past few years working primarily in regional theater and doing workshops for upcoming musicals such as The Lost Boys and Crazy Rich Asians, got his big break when he became the standby for Darren Criss in the new musical Maybe Happy Ending, now at the Belasco Theatre.

Huynh spoke with TheaterMania about deciding to pursue acting during high school after being nominated for a Dazzle Award, how his first Broadway show affected him, and what it’s like working with Criss, whom he first met on the set of Glee.

The following conversation has been condensed and edited for clarity.

What was the deciding factor for you in pursuing acting?

I was planning to be a music teacher. I mostly played trumpet in high school, but one year I ended up playing Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, and I was eventually recognized as one of five Best Actor nominees for the inaugural Dazzle Awards at [Cleveland’s] Playhouse Square, which is the regional version of the Jimmy Awards. While working on that awards show — it was so cool being with 100 other kids — I came to the realization that I could make acting into a career, even though I didn’t win the award. It also was a huge factor that my mom and dad told me I should be doing this. They are Vietnamese immigrants who own a nail salon, so their support has meant so much to me!

Was being on Broadway always your goal?

I would say Broadway has been my dream ever since 2016, when my high school class came to New York and saw Aladdin on Broadway. Seeing the representation onstage of people who looked like me was really inspiring. When my agent called to tell me that I had been chosen for Maybe Happy Ending, I immediately went to write down “At 4:18 on July 10, you found out you are making your Broadway debut.” And then I called my mom and dad to thank them. I still have a sense of disbelief that I’m here. But my biggest feeling is gratitude.

What is Maybe Happy Ending is about?

It is a musical that takes place in this future society that has created humanoid helper-bots whose main purpose is to serve others. But since they are always upgrading to the newest models, these two older robots, Oliver [played by Criss] and Claire [played by Helen J. Shen], are put into this retirement center where they meet and come to terms with mortality, being human, and falling in love. My hope is that, even though the musical deals with advanced AI, audiences will leave the theater with a renewed sense of wonder about the world around us today. I also hope they will sing or hum the score for days to come.

You are not only the standby for Darren Criss, but you’re also an understudy for Marcus Choi, who plays various roles in the show. That sound like a lot of work.

Yes, it is a lot that I have to learn all these parts. But I get to watch and observe this show from the ground up and I get to be part of the conversation, which is so exciting. I learn a lot of the roles simply from osmosis, being in the room every day. Still, when I am home, in Harlem, my script is completely hooked up and I am constantly reviewing lines and music on my commute on the subway.

Are you enjoying working with Darren?

I absolutely admire and adore Darren. It’s so incredible being in the rehearsal room with him — we actually didn’t meet until we got into the rehearsal room — because he takes such an intellectual, in-depth approach to creating his character. I remember watching him in Glee while growing up; I actually used his version of “Someone Only We Know” as my audition song. Luckily, he thought that was hilarious. Anyway, a lot of our camaraderie comes not only from our Asian American heritage, but from our shared love of food. A lot of what we talk about is our experience of eating at our favorite restaurants, and now we try to go out when we can and find the best ramen, pho, or Korean BBQ. It’s so fun!

This is an underrated episode with a ton of subtext.

Early side note: There was a series of four TV movies called The Love Club released...two Christmases ago, I think? Anyway two of the three Roses star in them, and Andrew Bushell (Michael) is a supporting character. They're cute. Very Hallmark-esque, but fun.

This script has a ton of subtext that I won't go super in-depth with.

I had a whole post written about potential episode order flips which somehow got flagged as mature...anyway, I dumped it, but in my mind, this episode could actually have come after the season finale. Since it doesn't, I am going to point out that in this episode and in 15 (and really in 12 also) Charlie and Sarah are very much having an emotional affair.

"Best friends working together...it's a lot more complex and nuanced..." or whatever Charlie's line is right before it cuts to Sarah smiling knowingly at him. We get it. You're secretly hot for each other but neither of you know how to USE YOUR DAMN WORDS.

Rex bringing up the pillow could have been a "hey Sarah, you should just sleep here" nod. (Okay I'm reaching, it's actually because he wants Charlie to go to bed, but it's cute.)

Sarah dancing with Rex while Charlie gazes lovingly at both of them...sigh.

Shops to Script into Hogsmeade for your Hogwarts DR

Obviously the original shops in Hogsmeade don’t need to be scripted, they’ll already be there. I’ll mention the original shops at the bottom and start with the ones I scripted at the top!

Scripted Shops

I just made some of these names up based on the vibe I wanted for each store, you’re welcome to copy this to add to your own script, change whatever you want!

💚 CineMystic - A small, magical cinema that shows famous wizarding films, events and muggle films. Special ‘memory reels’ can be played where you can rent a cinema and relive your own memories on the big screen.

💚 Crystal Cove - A crystal shop with rare enchanted crystals and magical gemstones like star-infused amethysts or healing selenite wands. Some stones glow, hum, or change colors based on your mood or magical energy. Crystals feel and look more magical in the wizarding world than in the muggle world.

💚 Celestia’s Fine Jewels - A luxury jewelry shop selling rings, pendants, bracelets etc. They have a custom spellbinding service where you can imbue new jewellery with spells, e.g a ring that feels warm when someone is thinking of you or protection spells on a necklace. ‘Celestia’ is also h ust a witches name I made up!

💚 The Silver Talon – A nail salon offering enchanted manicures. They have colour-changing polish, claws that extend on command, shimmering ‘starlight’ nails, or protection spells embedded into the designs. Any design can be done!

💚 Luxe Loom – A luxury high-end boutique selling elegant robes, enchanted ballgowns, and high-fashion wizarding attire for formal occasions.

💚 Essence and Enchantment – A perfumery that sells magical scents, each infused with emotions or memories. You can create a special signature scent service where a persons aura determines their perfect fragrance

💚 Wander and Whimsy – A wizarding shoe store, selling boots that never scuff, heels that make no sound, and charmed shoes that stop your feet from getting sore after a lot of walking.

💚 The Charming Mane - A hairdressing salon that offers the latest hairstyles (Madame Snelling’s Tress Emporium was the salon in Hogwarts Legacy but there is no mention of one in the Harry Potter books so I’ve added a salon!).

Original Shops

I’ve pulled these from Hogwarts Legacy and the books/movies/wiki pages. Some of these are in Hogwarts legacy but not mentioned in the books/movies. HL is based in the 1800’s but a lot of the shops do remain, some don’t, some do, but with new names - I’ve got the new names for the shops but mentioned the old names too. I’ll have to do an updated list of the shops once I’ve shifted to my Hogwarts DR and have fully explored Hogsmeade! Feel free to correct anything I may have got wrong.

💚 Honeydukes - Legendary sweet shop, famous for its selection of magical candies (Chocolate Frogs, Fizzing Whizzbees, Acid Pops, etc.). It has a secret tunnel through the cellar leading to Hogwarts in Hogwarts Legacy that you could script in, otherwise the secret passage mentioned in the books is just from Honeydukes cellar leading to the back of the Three Broomsticks.

💚 Zonko’s Joke Shop - Popular for prank items like Dungbombs and Nose-Biting Teacups. Closed in later years so you’d have to script this in, but Fred and George essentially reopen this shop under the name Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes later anyways.

💚 Scrivenshaft’s Quill Shop - Sells quills, ink, and parchment. A must-have if you want fancy writing supplies.

💚 Olivanders - A branch of the renowned wand shop owned and operated by the Olivander wand making family since 323 B.C.

💚 Gladrags Wizardwear - A clothing shop known for quirky wizarding fashion.

💚 Spintwitches Sporting Needs – The Quidditch supply shop, sells brooms and gear.

💚 J. Pippin’s Potions – An apothecary that carries a wide selection of pre-made potions and potion ingredients.

💚 Dogweed and Deathcap (called ‘The Magic Neep’ in Hogwarts Legacy) – A shop specializing in magical plants and herbs run by Mrs. Longbottom, Neville’s grandmother.

💚 Dominic Maestro’s Music Shop - A shop that sells magical musical instruments. This was only in Hogwarts Legacy and there is no mention of any music/instrument shop in the films/books so you’ll have to script this one in if you want it in your DR! Either that, or script Dervish and Banges also sells and repairs musical instruments.

💚 Flourish and Blotts (Tomes and Scrolls in Hogwarts Legacy) - A specialty bookshop with wares that fulfil the promise of its name. This is actually only in Diagon Alley but I highly recommend scripting it into Hogsmeade too!

💚 Magical Menagerie (Brood and Peck in Hogwarts Legacy) - Beast supply shop stocked with the latest and greatest in beast byproducts as well as magical creatures and pet-related items. This is actually only in Diagon Alley in the books so you’d need to script it in to Hogsmeade as a second branch shop, or leave it for only Diagon Alley - up to you!

💚 The Three Broomsticks - A well-known pub famous for Butterbeer.

💚 Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop - A cozy, romantic café selling tea, coffee, pastries and other sweet treats. Known as a popular date spot for Hogwarts students.

💚 The Hog’s Head - A pub run by Aberforth Dumbledore. It’s not the cleanest, but it’s good for secret meetings.

💚 Shrieking Shack – Technically abandoned, but it has a creepy reputation and history.

💚 Hogsmeade Station – Where the Hogwarts Express arrives.

💚 Hogwarts Owlery (Post Office) - Located just by Hogwarts Castle, so not in Hogsmeade but still important! this is where students and staff send their letters through the large number of owls that reside there.
