brandy with italian soda in a wine glass? 💗
charles leclerc x verstappen!sister
do you enjoy pissing me off?
----------------------------------------------
Few things in life were certain: death, taxes, and Charles Leclerc being hopelessly in love with you. At least, that last part was obvious to everyone except you. Charles had been smitten since the days when you were both tearing up karting tracks. Even your brother Max found it amusing how oblivious you were to the whole thing. The signs? Blatantly obvious.
Charles was always around. To anyone new in the paddock, it might look like he was a Red Bull driver with how often he hung around their garage whenever you were at a race.
He was always touching you—his hand on your back as you walked, brushing a stray strand of hair from your face, or nudging you playfully. He found any excuse to be close to you.
And he never talked about other girls when you were around. If the conversation ever drifted toward his romantic life, he’d deflect, downplaying any rumors. Because in his eyes, the only person that mattered was you.
But you were too caught up in your own world to notice. Ever since you’d started your marketing career at a tech company last year, life had been a blur of work and figuring out adulthood. Dating wasn’t exactly on your radar.
Charles had always been in your life. So, for you, it didn’t feel strange to be around him all the time. You hadn’t realized things had shifted on his end.
It was a late night in Monaco, and you were out for dinner with Charles, Max, Kelly, and a few others, making the most of a short break after Singapore. You rested your head on Charles’ shoulder, casually holding a glass of wine while chatting with Kelly. After dinner, the plan was to hit up a new club in town, and you were excited for a night out.
When the waiter came by with the checks, Charles swiftly motioned that yours was with his.
"You didn’t have to do that, Charlie," you said, glancing up at him.
He smiled warmly. "I always will, mon amour."
Max rolled his eyes and gagged dramatically, while Kelly shot him a warning look.
After leaving the restaurant, you grabbed Charles’ hand as the group made their way toward the club, not wanting to get separated in the busy streets. Charles absentmindedly rubbed his thumb against your hand, content with the simple gesture. Thanks to Max, you all had a private VIP section waiting at the club.
Once inside, you made your way to the bar to grab a drink. "Tequila soda, please," you ordered, leaning over the counter.
"Her drink’s on me," a guy standing next to you offered with a charming smile. He had beach-blonde hair and deep, ocean-blue eyes.
"Thanks," you replied, accepting the gesture.
"No problem," he said, leaning in closer so you could hear him over the music. "You from around here?"
"I live here now," you explained, "but I’m originally from the Netherlands."
"Nice," he replied, clearly interested. "I’m just visiting from the U.S."
"Ah, I’ve been a couple of times—Vegas, Miami, Austin," you said casually, listing off F1’s U.S. race stops.
"Not L.A.?" he asked with a grin. "You’ll have to let me show you around sometime."
You blushed, about to respond when you felt a strong hand wrap around your arm, pulling you away from the bar.
"Let’s go," Charles said sharply, his eyes shooting daggers at the guy, who looked confused.
"Charles, what the hell?" you protested, irritation bubbling up as you pulled free from his grip.
Charles stopped and turned to face you, his jaw clenched. "Are you trying to piss me off?"
Your eyes widened, taken aback. "What are you talking about?"
"That guy," Charles snapped, gesturing back at the bar. "Flirting with you, buying you drinks—do you not see what’s happening?"
You crossed your arms defensively. "He was just being nice, Charles. It’s not that serious."
"Not that serious?" he repeated, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "You really don’t see it, do you?"
"See what?" you demanded, exasperated. "Why do you care so much?"
Charles stared at you, his usual cool exterior cracking as his emotions surfaced. "Because it drives me insane watching other guys try to get your attention. I should be the only one who has your attention."
The words hung in the air between you. His eyes softened as he realized what he’d just admitted.
Charles swallowed hard, his frustration giving way to vulnerability as he took a step closer, closing the gap between you. "I’ve been in love with you for longer than I can remember. Watching you with someone else, even for a second, it—" He broke off, running a hand through his hair. "I don’t want anyone else to have you, because I’ve always wanted you."
The weight of his confession made your breath hitch. The little gestures, the lingering looks, the way he always had your back—it suddenly all made sense.
You closed the space between you, pulling him down into a kiss that felt like it had been building for years. Charles wasted no time in wrapping his arms around you, deepening the kiss, his hands sliding up your back like he’d finally found what he’d been waiting for.
When you finally pulled away, both of you breathless, Charles rested his forehead against yours, a wide smile on his face.
"About time," he whispered, making you laugh softly.
"Yeah, about time," you agreed, already knowing that this was just the beginning.
Both of you walked back to your friends who had been watching the whole time and your face burned red with embarrassment.
"Finally found your balls mate?" Max said to Charles laughing and you rolled your eyes, not letting your grip of his hand loosen.

(Still a Work In Progress!)
✨I'm finally getting around to making a Master Post even though it will take me a while to make it 🌠pretty!🌠 and I have also yet to draw a Meet-the-artist picture. I will get to that. Eventually.
✨In the meantime. Hi! I'm Rhonu, an artist/writer from the Netherlands and like many of you here I hopelessly simp for the DCA.
✨Please keep in mind that I'm a slow artist and a slow writer. Executive dysfunction is a big thing, though I hope it will get better. I also constantly switch between AUs, alternating which one gets worked on (both writing and art). This is so I don't burn myself out on one and I just wanna work on all of them all the time lol.

Women in the UK cycle a lot less than men, and farming is male-dominated – so I aim to highlight the role of women in both these areas.” - PhD student Veronica White
By Alex Morrison
A University of Exeter researcher will cycle hundreds of miles across England to interview women in farming about their visions for the future.
PhD student Veronica White will set off from Land’s End on 12 April on a route of over 1,200 miles, ending at the Scottish border in July.
The future of farming is often visualised in high-tech terms – but White’s tour will investigate how women living or working on England’s farms imagine what the future of food production could look like.
Explaining her reasons for her “PhD by bike”, White said: “I was born in the US but I grew up in the Netherlands, where my family travelled by bike or public transport.
“I don’t drive, so cycling is still my main mode of transport – and of course it’s also a low-carbon, sustainable way to travel, which is important to me.
“By cycling, I will see and experience the farming landscapes I ride through – I will feel the hills in my legs, and experience the seasons as they shift.”
She added: “Women in the UK cycle a lot less than men, and farming is male-dominated – so I aim to highlight the role of women in both these areas.”
Tumblr media

White will stop at various points along her journey to spend several days meeting people in farming communities.
Reflecting on the challenge of bike touring and camping, she said: “I know that this cycle tour is not going to be easy. It will, most likely, be the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
“But isn’t that what they say about doing a PhD, too? Nobody starts a PhD thinking it’s going to be easy – so why not throw a 1,200-mile cycle ride into the mix?!”
To find out more, see the Farming Futures Cycle Tour webpage. For updates from the trip, see White’s Instagram.
There is also a JustGiving page to raise money for the Farming Community Network.

April 10, 2025
Let’s talk about the moment Donald Trump blinked. It wasn’t loud. It wasn’t a tweetstorm or a rally rant. When the tariff threats that had the world on edge—125% on China, 25% on Canada’s autos, a global trade war in the making—suddenly softened. A “pause,” he called it. A complete turnaround from the chest-thumping of the past week. And the reason? Mark Carney and a slow, deliberate financial maneuver that most people didn’t even notice: the coordinated Treasury bond slow bleed.
This wasn’t about bravado. It was about leverage. Cold, calculated, and devastatingly effective.
Trump’s pause wasn’t because people were getting yippy…
Rewind a bit. While Trump was gearing up his trade war machine, Carney, Canada’s Prime Minister, wasn’t just sitting in Ottawa twiddling his thumbs. He’d been quietly increasing Canada’s holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds—over $350 billion worth by early 2025, part of the $8.53 trillion foreign countries hold in U.S. debt. On the surface, it looked like a safe play, a hedge against economic chaos. But it wasn’t just defense. It was a loaded gun.
Carney didn’t stop there. He took his case to Europe. Not for photo ops, but for closed-door meetings with the EU’s heavy hitters—Germany, France, the Netherlands. Japan was in the room too, listening closely. The pitch was simple: if Trump went too far with tariffs, Canada wouldn’t just retaliate with duties on American cars or steel. It would start offloading those Treasury bonds. Not a fire sale—nothing so crude. A slow, steady bleed. A signal to the markets that the U.S. dollar’s perch wasn’t so secure.
Here’s a brief explainer about Treasury Bonds and why Carney encouraged other countries to follow Canada’s lead, and why it worked:
How Treasury Bonds Work and Why a Global Sell-Off Could Tank the U.S.
* What Are Treasury Bonds?
* They’re IOUs the U.S. government issues to borrow money.
* Countries, banks, and investors buy them, lending cash to the U.S.
* The U.S. promises to pay back the loan with interest over time (e.g., 10 years).
* Who Owns Them?
* Foreign countries hold $8.5 trillion of U.S. debt (as of 2025).
* Big players: Japan ($1 trillion+), Canada ($350 billion), EU nations ($1.5 trillion combined).
* They buy bonds to park money safely and earn steady interest.
* How Do They Affect the U.S.?
* The U.S. uses this borrowed cash to fund everything—military, Social Security, tax cuts.
* Cheap borrowing keeps the economy humming; the government spends more than it collects in taxes.
* What Happens in a Coordinated Sell-Off?
* If countries like Canada, Japan, and the EU start selling bonds together (even slowly):
* Flood of Bonds: Too many bonds hit the market at once.
* Prices Drop: More supply than demand pushes bond prices down.
* Interest Rates Spike: When bond prices fall, yields (interest rates) rise to attract buyers.
* Why Does This Hurt the U.S.?
* Borrowing Gets Expensive: Higher interest rates mean the U.S. pays more to borrow.
* Debt Snowballs: The U.S. owes $34 trillion already; pricier loans make it harder to manage.
* Dollar Weakens: Selling bonds means dumping dollars, so the currency’s value drops.
* How Does This Cause a Depression?
* Spending Dries Up: Government cuts back as borrowing costs soar—fewer jobs, less aid.
* Businesses Tank: Higher rates choke loans; companies can’t expand or hire.
* Imports Cost More: A weaker dollar makes foreign goods (oil, tech) pricier, jacking up inflation.
* Markets Crash: Panic hits stocks and banks as confidence in U.S. debt fades.
* The Domino Effect:
* Jobs vanish, prices spike, savings erode—classic depression triggers.
* A slow, coordinated sell-off isn’t a bluff; it’s a quiet gut punch that would take the US YEARS to recover from.
And here’s the kicker: Canada wasn’t alone. Japan, holding over $1 trillion in U.S. debt, signed on and started to sell those US Treasury bonds which scared Trump shitless. Key EU countries—collectively sitting on another $1.5 trillion—nodded in agreement. This wasn’t a bluff. It was a silent pact. A coordinated move to remind Trump that the free world doesn’t just roll over when he swings his tariff bat. Hurt us, Carney said, and we’ll hurt you—right where it counts.
The U.S. Treasury market is the backbone of the global economy. Foreign holders like Canada, Japan, and the EU keep it humming, financing everything from America’s military to its tax cuts. Start selling those bonds in unison, even gradually, and the yields spike. The dollar wobbles. Borrowing costs climb. Suddenly, Trump’s “beautiful” bond market—he bragged about it just yesterday—looks like a house of cards in a stiff breeze.
That’s the message Carney delivered in his call with Trump last week. No leaks on the exact words, but the outcome speaks volumes. Trump didn’t just pause the tariffs; he backpedaled hard. China’s still in the crosshairs—125% duties are no joke—but Canada? The EU? Japan? They’re off the hit list. For now, at least. Why? Because Carney’s play wasn’t noise. It was power.
Let’s be real: Trump’s spent years calling Canada a freeloader—remember his 2019 NATO jabs?—while ignoring the inconvenient truth. Canada’s $350 billion in U.S. debt isn’t charity. It’s a lifeline. Japan’s trillion-plus? Same deal. The EU’s pile? Ditto. These countries aren’t just buying bonds to be nice; they’re bankrolling the U.S. government. And when they threaten to pull the plug, even slowly, Washington listens.
This was the determining factor in Trump’s surrender. Not the public spats, not the retaliatory tariffs Canada slapped on U.S. autos (though those stung). It was the quiet, coordinated threat of a Treasury bond unwind that bent Trump’s knee. Carney didn’t need to shout. He didn’t need to posture. He lined up the free world—Japan, the EU, Canada in lockstep—and showed Trump the cliff’s edge. Strategic brilliance doesn’t get louder than that.
Carney also issued Canadian Treasury bonds in USD which was another brilliant way to strengthen Canada’s position and financial reputation. Little triggers and strategies you get when the world’s most respected economist is your PM…
When Trump announced his tariff “pause,” it wasn’t a victory lap. It was a concession. Carney moved markets without firing a shot. He gave Canada a seat at the power table and proved that global respect isn’t won with bluster—it’s earned with moves that hit where it hurts. Trump talks tough. Carney plays chess. And right now, the board’s his.
Want the raw data? Check the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s “Major Foreign Holders of Treasury Securities” report. Look at Canada’s holdings. Japan’s. The EU’s. Then ask yourself: who’s really holding “the cards.”
OH, and will Canada’s tariffs and countermeasures remain in place until after the election on April 28th? Yup.
Carney made sure to tell the world that despite Trump kissing our northern ring, we’re not negotiating shit until after the election. He also said we’re still moving away from our relationship with the US for greener, saner pastures.

SPIRITBOX Announces Spring 2025 North American Tour With LOATHE, DYING WISH And GEL
Tumblr media
Two-time Grammy-nominated progressive metal band SPIRITBOX has announced the "Tsunami Sea" North American tour. Kicking off April 3 in Dallas, Texas, produced by Live Nation, the 24-date tour will hit cities across the U.S. and Canada with LOATHE, DYING WISH and GEL as support.
Tickets will first be available through a Citi presale starting today, December 3. The official artist presale begins on December 4 and will include a special Spiritboxoffice pop-up event in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. where fans can purchase tickets and meet the band. Additional presales will follow on December 5, ahead of the general onsale and Citi Cardmember Preferred Tickets, beginning Friday, December 6 at 10 a.m. local time on Spiritbox.com.
The tour wants to give fans, not scalpers, the best chance to buy tickets at face value. To make this possible they have chosen to use Ticketmaster's Face Value Exchange. If fans purchase tickets for a show in the U.S. or Canada and can't attend, they'll have the option to resell them to other fans at the original price paid. To help protect the Exchange, the tour has requested all tickets be mobile only and restricted from transfer. This applies to all shows except those in Colorado, Illinois, and New York where Face Value Exchange cannot be mandated. Please note, a valid bank account or debit card within the country of your event is required to sell on the Face Value Exchange.
Citi is the official card of the "Tsunami Sea" North American tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Tuesday, December 3 at 12 p.m. ET until Thursday, December 5 at 10 p.m. local time through the Citi Entertainment program.
The announcement follows SPIRITBOX's second consecutive Grammy nomination for "Best Metal Performance" ("Cellar Door") which no woman has ever won this sole category. The tour announcement also follows the reveal of their anticipated sophomore album, "Tsunami Sea", slated for release on March 7 via Pale Chord / Rise Records. The album's first two singles, the heavy hitter "Soft Spine" and melodic "Perfect Soul", showcase the band's dynamic range and their ability to seamlessly fuse diverse sonic influences, offering a glimpse into the depth and ambition of the forthcoming record.
In addition to SPIRITBOX's headline U.S. and European tours in 2025, the band will jump on select dates of LINKIN PARK's world tour, joining the rock icons for performances in Italy, the Netherlands and the U.K.

Formed in 2017 in the picturesque-yet-isolated region of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, by singer Courtney Laplante and guitarist Mike Stringer, SPIRITBOX became a household name in rock circles in the summer of 2020 with the release of their blistering breakout single "Holy Roller", along with a host of other captivating singles shortly after, resulting in a media firestorm of hype.
With new and existing fans eagerly watching their next move, SPIRITBOX exceeded every expectation imaginable in 2021 with the release of their genre-defining debut studio album "Eternal Blue" via Pale Chord/Rise Records. "Eternal Blue", which debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200, kicked open the doors of the heavy metal scene and rewrote the genre's playbook with 12 stunning tracks that incorporated everything from djent and post-metal to infectious synth-laden pop sensibilities and cinematic arrangements, brought fully to life by the inimitable Laplante's ethereal and commanding vocal performances.
The album cycle for "Eternal Blue" saw SPIRITBOX not only grace the covers of esteemed music publications such as Revolver, Alternative Press, Rock Sound and Kerrang!, among many others but would also solidify the band as one of the most in-demand groups in live music today with their one-hundred percent sold out, first-ever headlining tour in support of the album which saw ticket sales over 40,000. The band would also share the stage with seasoned metal veterans such as LIMP BIZKIT and GHOST and win "Best International Breakthrough Band" at the 2021 Heavy Music Awards.
In 2022, SPIRITBOX secured highly-coveted spots at numerous major U.S. rock and metal festivals and were nominated for two Juno awards, respectively. SPIRITBOX would also round out their current lineup with the inclusion of drummer Zev Rose and bassist Josh Gilbert in addition to releasing their sonically experimental EP "Rotoscope" in June of that year as well as a cross-genre collaboration with dubstep artist Illenium for the track "Shivering".
During another whirlwind year for the band, including a U.S. tour with SHINEDOWN and PAPA ROACH, SPIRITBOX wrote and recorded their critically acclaimed EP "The Fear Of Fear", released in November 2023. The EP features the single "Jaded", which was nominated for "Best Metal Performance" at the 66th annual Grammy Awards. In the same month, the band would make another genre-bending splash with a high-profile collaboration with rapper Megan Thee Stallion for a remix of her song "Cobra".

Most people love them because there’s something absolutely bucolic about their squat structures and the gentle creak of their fins as these wooden structures spin in the natural wind currents. Of course, that describes the old fashioned kind of windmill. The newer, modern versions take on some different characteristics, of course.
Windmills have been around for a very long time, since the time when people first realized it was possible to harness the power of the wind to perform work and provide energy. Ever since new innovations have been made with the ability to utilize the never-ending source of power that windmills capture.
National Windmill Day commemorates the origins of the windmill as well as how it has helped to shape technology and industry from the past and into the future. It’s time to learn about and celebrate National Windmill Day!
History of National Windmill Day
The idea of capturing the power of the wind to perform work isn’t new and, in fact, it goes back far further into history than most people would suspect. Since then, its use has sprung up in multiple cultures throughout the world.
Heron of Alexandria, who lived in the first century AD, was the earliest person known to have harnessed the energy of moving air to perform work, using a very primitive device to power, of all things, a musical instrument: the organ. The people of Persia also developed more traditional windmills, though they had a different orientation than the ones most people typically think of when hearing the word ‘windmill’.
Some historians think that the Persian models were the inspiration for the vertical models that were developed later on in the middle ages. The evidence of one of the oldest windmills that remains today can be found in Weedley, Yorkshire, England and is said to have been built in 1185. As is commonly depicted in media, these machines were used primarily to grind grain, and have been for many centuries since that time.
Recently though, at least in the last 150 years or so, there’s been a growing movement to use windmills in another fashion entirely. The power of the wind can be harnessed to turn giant wind turbines which in turn generate clean, and virtually unlimited, renewable energy.
Windmills have been around for a long long time, and while they may seem like primitive tech, they’ve moved into the world as hope for a clean future. Along with solar, bio-fuel, and fuel cells, windmills are working to save the environment.
National Windmill Day Timeline

Windmills are used for food production
In the Middle East, windmills are used to help produce food and the ideas are then taken to Europe by merchants and crusaders.
1300s
Windmills are used to drain water
The Dutch people of the Netherlands realize that the water from their low-lying areas can be drained using windmills.

How to Celebrate National Windmill Day
Learn More About Windmills
Well perhaps to first thing to do is start by reading up on the topic of windmills. One of the best things that can be done to celebrate the day is to get more educated on the history of windmills, to begin learning how they’re helping us today, and even to share that information with others. As one of the fastest growing sources of energy in the world, it’s worth learning more about!
Here are some interesting facts about windmills:
The first modern version of the wind turbine was built in Vermont, USA in the 1940s. Its success was not long lived due to war shortages and the next time a windmill would rival it in size would be in 1979.
Hawaii, USA hosts the world’s largest wind turbine, which is the height of a 20 story building and its blades are the length of a football field.
Offshore wind is particularly effective. In Europe, one offshore wind turbine (located in the water) can power more than 1500 homes.
Read Don Quixote
Famous (or perhaps, infamous) for his mistake in thinking that windmills are giant monsters, Don Quixote bravely rides toward them to do battle and, of course, eventually gets knocked off his horse. This is just one of the many beloved and memorable scenes in this classic novel by Spanish author, Miquel de Cervantes, published in 1606.
Visit Holland for National Windmill Day
While not necessarily the first place to house windmills, Holland (now known as The Netherlands) has a long history with them as they were the first place to use them to move water from low lying lands. In fact, the second Saturday and Sunday in May (because one day just isn’t enough!) are celebrated in Holland as “National Mill Day”, which is called Molendag in Dutch. This is a day when 950 windmills and watermills will open their doors to the public for visitors to see their inner workings first hand and learn more about them. Plus, many of them will also host fun events for the local community and tourists alike.
Whether in Amsterdam or throughout the rest of this country filled with canals and waterways, the windmills are stunning. It’s even possible to go on a bike tour of the mills to visit some of the most beautiful, iconic and picturesque mills in the world!
Those who find other countries in Europe to be more accessible can celebrate National Windmill Day in the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland and other countries, where it is often referred to as National Mills Day.
Watch Some Windmills
For those who happen to live in an area that has a single windmill or a whole windmill farm, it might be fun and interesting to go out and watch them turn, turn, turn… (Are we the only one hearing that song now?) More and more communities are dotting them about the landscape as a sustainable source of power. As you gaze upon and contemplate just how important these are to a bright, pollution-free future for our children, enjoy watching their soothing motion and consider their history too.
National Windmill Day FAQs
How do windmills work?
Wind turbines use their large blades to collect kinetic energy as the wind flows over the blades to create “lift”.
Do windmills make noise?
Windmills do emit a characteristic noise, mainly generated by the movement of the blades, but the noise is generally weak.
Are windmills renewable energy?
Wind is an emissions-free source of energy that has fewer effects on the environment than many other energy sources.
Do windmills create electricity?
Yes! Wind turns the propellers of the windmill around a rotor that, in turn, spins a generator to create electricity.
How much do windmills cost?
The standard windmill costs around $2-4 million with another $40-50,000 in per year in operation and maintenance.

Buy Netherlands dedicated server
Top Reasons to Buy a Netherlands Dedicated Server for Your Growing Business
When your business starts gaining traction, it’s like watching your favorite sports team rise to the playoffs—exciting but nerve-wracking. That’s when you realize it’s time to level up your hosting game. Enter: Netherlands dedicated servers—the secret weapon that’s turning heads in the world of online business.
If you’re wondering why the Netherlands is a hotspot for dedicated hosting, buckle up. I’m here to walk you through why this option could be the best investment for your business growth. Spoiler alert: It’s not just about the servers; it’s about what they can do for you.
Tumblr media
Why a Dedicated Server Netherlands Is a Game-Changer
Dedicated servers are like having your own private parking spot in a crowded city—nobody else can use it, and you have all the space you need. Unlike shared hosting or VPS hosting, a dedicated server means the entire server is yours.
Now, when you pick the Netherlands as your hosting location, you unlock perks that go beyond the basics. Here’s why it’s worth the hype:
Lightning-Fast Connectivity for Global Reach
The Netherlands is nicknamed the “Digital Gateway to Europe” for a reason. It’s one of the most connected countries in the world, and it boasts cutting-edge infrastructure like the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX).
This setup means your website loads faster, your data gets transferred quicker, and you get super low latency—especially when targeting customers in Europe, the USA, and beyond.
Example:
Imagine running an eCommerce store targeting both U.S. and European audiences. With a Netherlands dedicated server, your customers in New York or California won’t have to wait for ages for your site to load. That’s a win for their patience—and your sales!
Data Privacy Laws That Have Your Back
In the U.S., we’re big on privacy, but let’s face it—data regulations can be a bit murky. Over in the Netherlands, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) takes data security to the next level.
With a dedicated server Netherlands, you can reassure your customers that their sensitive information is protected by some of the strictest data privacy laws in the world.
Real Talk:
Think about a law firm or a healthcare company storing client data. Hosting in the Netherlands gives them an edge in terms of compliance and peace of mind.
Superior Hardware and Premium Uptime
Dutch hosting providers don’t mess around when it comes to hardware. You’ll find top-tier equipment from brands like DELL, HP, and Intel powering these servers.
Combine that with redundant power supplies, cooling systems, and network connections, and you’re looking at an impressive uptime guarantee—often 99.99%.
Why This Matters:
For small businesses, every second of downtime can mean lost sales or missed opportunities. A reliable server ensures your website stays up and running, no matter what.
Scalability That Matches Your Growth
Here’s the deal: businesses don’t grow at a steady pace—they explode, especially when you’re doing something right. A Netherlands dedicated server is scalable, so you can upgrade your resources without downtime.
Scenario:
Let’s say your website traffic doubles after a Black Friday sale. With dedicated hosting in the Netherlands, you can seamlessly scale up your server resources to handle the surge without losing customers.
Cost-Effective Hosting Options
You’d think all these perks would break the bank, right? Nope! Netherlands dedicated servers often offer better pricing compared to U.S.-based counterparts, thanks to lower operational costs and competitive markets.
When you consider what you’re getting—privacy, speed, reliability—it’s a no-brainer for businesses looking for value.
Pro Tip:
Many providers offer customized plans, so you’re not paying for resources you don’t need.
24/7 Support That Actually Helps
Nobody wants to deal with tech problems alone. Dutch hosting companies pride themselves on stellar customer support, with experts available around the clock to solve issues.
Example:
Picture this: It’s midnight in New York, and your server crashes. With 24/7 support from a Netherlands provider, you can have someone troubleshoot the issue instantly—saving you stress and potential losses.
Green Hosting for Eco-Conscious Businesses
Sustainability is becoming a bigger priority for businesses, and Dutch data centers are leading the charge with eco-friendly practices. Powered by renewable energy and optimized for energy efficiency, they offer hosting solutions you can feel good about.
Bonus:
Eco-friendly hosting can be a unique selling point for your brand, especially if your audience values sustainability.
How to Choose the Right Netherlands Dedicated Server
So, you’re sold on the idea. Now what? Here are a few tips to pick the perfect hosting plan:
Know Your Needs: Understand your traffic levels, storage requirements, and budget.
Check Location Benefits: If you’re targeting U.S. and European customers, opt for a server with low latency for both regions.
Look for Extra Features: Managed services, DDoS protection, and backups can save you time and hassle.
Read Reviews: See what other businesses are saying about the provider.
SEO Benefits of a Netherlands Dedicated Server
If you’re gunning for top spots on Google, a Netherlands dedicated server can help. Faster load times and enhanced security mean better rankings—simple as that. Plus, having a server in Europe can boost your SEO for European search engines.
Quick Tip:
Optimize your content for local keywords (like “buy Netherlands dedicated server”) to capture the attention of your audience.
A Real-World Success Story
Take, for example, a mid-sized SaaS company from Chicago that switched to a Netherlands dedicated server. Not only did their page load times drop by 40%, but their European customer base grew by 25% within six months.
That’s the power of hosting smarter.
Conclusion: Why You Should Buy Netherlands Dedicated Server
At the end of the day, investing in a dedicated server Netherlands is like upgrading from a beat-up sedan to a luxury SUV—it’s smoother, faster, and way more reliable. Whether you’re running a blog, an online store, or a global enterprise, this hosting option can give you the speed, security, and support you need to thrive.
Your Next Step:

Russia’s war in Ukraine dominated the NATO summit in Washington this week as the alliance unveiled plans to intensify support for Kyiv and offer an “irreversible” path to eventual membership in the defense pact.
The measures announced this week—including the establishment of a new NATO command to coordinate training and arms deliveries, the delivery of F-16 fighter jets, and a new security compact—underscore efforts underway in Western capitals to shift support for Ukraine to a long-term footing as Russia shows little sign of abating.
Andriy Yermak, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s closest advisor, said Kyiv was “satisfied” with the outcomes of the summit, speaking at a side event on Thursday. “The alliance made real steps forward,” he said.
But the summit also highlighted a central tension in Western strategy to support Ukraine: Military aid has played a decisive role in enabling Kyiv to fend off Russian forces, but it has fallen short of enabling it to actually win the war.
“We’re basically propping up Ukraine to stay in the battle and make some advances and not outright win the battle,” said Liana Fix, a fellow for Europe at the Council on Foreign Relations. “There’s not a real strategy for the war.”
Allies along NATO’s eastern flank, most notably the Baltic states and Poland, have long called for a surging of support to Ukraine. But the allies with the deepest pockets and most sophisticated weapons systems—particularly the United States—have taken a more cautious tack in a bid to prevent an escalation spiral with Moscow.
The renewed support comes as Russian airstrikes have pounded Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, leading to sweeping power outages in recent months. On Monday, as heads of state and government departed for Washington, Russia struck a children’s hospital in Kyiv in broad daylight, a shot across the bow at the alliance. The new NATO measures come “at a critical time and will help Ukraine avert the worst-case scenario this year,” said Michael Kofman, an expert on the Ukrainian armed forces with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
“The main priority in all these announcements, particularly on the air defense side, is to negate the areas where Russia has a clear advantage,” said Eric Ciaramella, a former deputy national intelligence officer for Russia on the U.S. National Intelligence Council. On Tuesday, Biden announced that the United States, partnering with other countries, would provide five new air defense systems to Ukraine to help the country fend off Russian missile attacks. “It’s definitely necessary to allow the Ukrainians to stop the bleeding and start rebuilding,” said Ciaramella, now a senior fellow at Carnegie.
But analysts are skeptical that the measures announced this week can turn the tide on the battlefield. “The Ukrainians need more to win than just what we have set up,” Royal Netherlands Navy Adm. Rob Bauer, the chair of NATO’s Military Committee, told Foreign Policy on the sidelines of the summit on Thursday.
The Russian armed forces have bounced back faster than anticipated following their unexpectedly poor performance in the early months of the war and are quickly learning how to counter high-tech new weapons systems supplied by Ukraine’s Western allies.
U.S. officials believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ultimate goal of subjugating Ukraine remains unchanged more than two years into the war, moving his country’s economy onto a war footing. Nearly a third of the state budget this year is earmarked for defense spending, and shipments of artillery from Iran and North Korea have left Ukraine outgunned on the battlefield.
On Thursday, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, now deputy chair of the country’s Security Council, posted on X that Moscow sees two acceptable outcomes to the war: “either Ukraine disappears, or NATO does.”
Western leaders have reaffirmed their commitment to remain by Ukraine’s side for the long term, with at least 22 countries and the European Union signing bilateral security agreements with Kyiv pledging their continued support for the country’s defense and security.
“We are demonstrating our commitment to stand with Ukraine in their current fight and into the future,” said U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan at an event on the sidelines of the summit on Thursday.
Yet although the Biden administration played a pivotal role in warning of Russia’s intentions to attack Ukraine and galvanizing Western support for the country, it has offered little in the way of a vision for a path forward for ending the conflict.
It’s an approach that stands in stark contrast to the administration’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war, for which senior administration officials have outlined a dubious but detailed multistep plan to bring about a cease-fire and forge a wider regional deal in an effort to permanently change the dynamics of the conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians.
“There is a gaping hole between saying we want to restore Ukraine’s sovereignty and what we’re actually doing,” said Andrea Kendall-Taylor, the director of the trans-Atlantic security program at the Center for a New American Security. “Right now, it just feels like we’re all saying it but people don’t really believe it.”
The administration has faced criticism from Republicans on Capitol Hill for its failure to outline a clear plan for the war in Ukraine. A multibillion-dollar national security supplemental funding bill, passed by Congress this year after significant delay, included a requirement that the administration submit a report to lawmakers within 45 days outlining its strategy for the war, including “multi-year, establish specific and achievable objectives.”
Ukrainian officials have expressed their concerns about being pressed into a peace deal on unfavorable terms, and the Biden administration has reiterated that it is for Ukraine to decide how and when to end the war.
In the interim, the strategy appears to be to bolster the country’s defenses and hope that Moscow punches itself out. “We’re not in full control of that timeline,” said a senior Biden administration official, asked about a path to a just end to the war. “There is one person who is in control of that, and that’s Vladimir Putin. If he chose to back away and end it, he could do that tomorrow,” said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record.
The problem is that Russia is similarly trying to wait out Ukraine and its Western allies.
“It’s ultimately a big psychological game, and Putin thinks that he can win it—that time is on his side and that he can grind down the Ukrainians and our political will to support” them, Ciaramella said.
Despite the pledges of long-term support announced at the summit this week, critics have questioned the longevity of this approach. “It is magical thinking to expect that the current level of allied support can continue indefinitely,” Eugene Rumer, the director of Carnegie’s Russia and Eurasia program, wrote in a recent commentary.
“The challenge before the allies at this summit is bigger than anything they have faced since the Cold War. It is not to keep Ukraine in the fight for the long run but to find a way to end this war without sacrificing Ukraine in the process.”

Well, the Netflix password sharing ban has reached the Netherlands. Quick survey says that there are several workarounds, but my mom is not tech savvy enough for that level of trickery, so I'll advise her to change her subscription to only one screen.
Count that as two near instances of screaming rage at corporations in two days.
And no, that's not about being unable to live without Netflix. It's the relentless trickle of shittery they keep pulling.
My bank raising its fees just because, and I would have switched but I am on this family arrangement so I can't.
My bank app deciding my phone is too old for it.
Another price hike in the supermarket.
The fees for my building's upkeep have been raised by €5 a month for shits and giggles.
A tax hike of €2 a month for my car and don't get me started on paying more than €2 for a litre of petrol.
An insurance price hike and I can't switch because of a misunderstanding with the building upkeep company. Seriously it's the only way of beating constant price hikes, constantly switching.
The ticket prices for the train have been raised.
On and on it goes. And my main problem is that this could easily all be outlawed. But it isn't. Because higher prices on everything also means more tax revenue, as that is a percentage of the total, not a flat fee.
The Netherlands have already protest voted the Nazis in, and the party that calls itself "New Social Contract" means by that, that the whole country should function like the Dutch Bible Belt: with strong solidarity among neighbours instead of state intervention and also trans people are evil. If the government does not try to further the wellbeing of all its citizens, against exploitative corporations, who tf is it for? Like, I know who it's for, it insanely favours capital, but shouldn't there at least be a pretense of something else?
I find it fascinating that government always goes "This is fine" until there are physical mobs outside of their gates. They don't do anything an hour before.
I don't really understand why they keep pushing people to the brink of that. Whom does it help? Nobody. Every revolution simply ushers in a new elite, only that first, a lot of people die - some rich, most poor. The poor mostly stay poor. I'm not saying don't riot, because the revolutions, if survived, often cause a minor uptick for the starving, but not half as well as a government that ensures a high standard of living for everyone.
And make no mistake. They're literally having people starve. Because they can. Either on no food, or on food that is so substandard it causes disease.
It only took 40 years.
Why are they so stupid? People may not understand nft's, or substandard loans swaps, or whatever they come up with next to cheat pension funds, but they do understand being able to afford heating your house, being able to afford to keep a roof over your head, or "I can't afford dinner."
But what do I know. I simply studied humanities.
