About promiseland_larp

Its Polish slenderverse series taking place in Poland, Lodz (Boat City lol). They are still updating! Not very regulary but still! They also have Twitter, tiktok and of course Tumblr.

They are quite small project so they are quite open when it comes to interactions! No need to be scared

I want to show my support so i'll try to post about every update and so on!

Oh! The whole serie is in Polish BUT they are working on subtitles. I might make a list of videos that have them already! (Under cut)

i think the difference between the old gen slenderverse and new gen slenderverse is so distinct, because unlike them we’re making everything gay and autistic ON PURPOSE and we KNOW IT and we LOVE it and we ARE it. They just didn’t realise it when they made Habit sit on Vinnie or when they made Tim Wright literally the human version of every mental illness there is.

Sadly, due to YouTube being an asshole, we’re not allowed to bring an emergency machete anymore. That’s also a distinction.

Let’s talk about the Slenderverse Symbol and it's origin.

The Slenderverse Symbol shown above has been in use in the fandom for years, but many people don’t know where it came from. So, what’s up with it?

The symbol was originally posted to Deviantart on April 14th, 2011 by a user I hate to mention. “TheNimbus,” also known as Adam Rosner. Obviously, he’s a really shitty dude! That’s why at least I have grown a hatred for this symbol. It’s honestly pretty shitty looking anyway, of course that fucker made the severance symbol biggest.

Over the years I’ve been in plenty of spaces where a slenderverse symbol would be fun to use as an icon, emote, banner, all that shit. So eventually, not wanting to use Adam’s shitty symbol, me and my friends came up with our own.

The New [Old Gen] SlenderSymbol! 

AKA The Anti-Rosner Symbol!

Some stuff was moved around around and inspiration was taken from some older SlenderSymbols, and we came up with this bad boy. It’s still kind of shitty looking, but at least it’s not Rosner!

The Operator Symbol is now the biggest just by proxy of influence, importance and popularity. Despite the Severance Symbol being the, y’know, Severance Symbol I felt like I had to keep it in just due to the relevance it did serve to gen one. This is in no way a pro-Rosner symbol though. I mean, I made this thing out of spite.

I may end up making some sort of New Gen symbol at some point since it turns out symbol making is actually really fun, so look out for that! Have fun with this symbol!

crawling in here to say how much i love new-gen slenderverse that's popping up on youtube and tiktok and such!

its also funny that most series are done by people from the ages of 16-early 20's like the series that inspired them, but its also so cool knowing its such an unkillable thing. like it'll always be there and will always have our little resources that happen sometimes with new channels and new stories and new characters in this massive world started by some guys in 2009 with nothing but a camera and a vision!

One of my favorite clips from Canis' videos is still this one i think

This is graffiti with a dog with the caption "my dog ​​is dead" in like... Kids handwriting - that one which we learn in first grades of primary school.

Canis means dog. And this dog is dead. I know where this graffiti is and i often think about it. I mean... It's done in that childish style, it looks so simple, yet that makes it even more sad. When you look at it, first thing that comes to your mind is a picture of a kid, not sure what does it mean that their best friend is not coming back. Kids at this age (primary school age) usually dont know what death is. It's just a world. For them dead person is most likely somewhere else, they moved to a happier place but their not complately gone.

Artificial Intolerance | In over its head.

This is a series I bingewatched today. Like almost every New Gen series, I didn't like!

It does all of the tropes you'd expect. Hell, it even has a HABIT/Patrick ripoff. It takes a lot from MLAndersen0 actually. I'd describe the series as an overbloated MLAndersen0 clone.

The videos are overly long, where nothing happens for most of the runtime. Ted is vlogging, that could be used to show how the characters interact with each other, watching them do whacky stuff. But nope. It's just stretches of silence while Ted walks around doing nothing, or it's Ted talking to the camera for 10 minutes. If a series is JUST gonna be talking, or have entire videos where it's just blocks of text, then it shouldn't be a Vlog. Just make a blog. Which AI also has, but it's useless.

It doesn't feel like it has an end goal. Nothing in the series feels like it's leading to anything. It doesn't feel like the people working on AI have any passion for the series.

1: The Pacing

Obnoxiously poor. Every video is just a snoozefest.

2: The Characters

Flat pieces of cardboard. You never get a sense on who they are or how they feel about each other. None of them have any personality.

3: The Story

It has no plot. I struggled to understand what exactly was happening. I just kept thinking, "Oh that's like MLAndersen0" or "Oh, that's just like Marble Hornets"

Final Thoughts:

1/10. Yet another series that does nothing interesting. If you've watched this, you've watched 96% of the modern Slenderverse.

Post+ is nasty

Hi! Speaking not as a slenderverse mod but as someone who's been on tumblr for 10 plus years now.

This is not the first time they have tried these money grab schemes. The reason they are doing this is because we as a community are not profitable anymore like we were circa 2013. Deals to sell tumblr have come and gone in recent years because yahoo didn't want us anymore but no one else did either.

The nsfw ban was only the beginning of this. They took away "non family friendly content" to make it more marketable to sell and for Apple as well. There were even things before this and posts dated way back to 2015 when people saw the downward spiral starting.

It's not new that tumblr would sell out its users like this. The guise is to make it 'more gen z friendly.' The staff doesn't care about the fans or anyone else and I can personally testify to that. I've had blogs taken down, post notes messed with, and posts that just "disappeared" over the course of the 10 years I've been on this site.

So what do we do? You take the survey staff has posted on the post+ update. You take it and you send it to friends, discord servers, family even if you want. A lot of users are even logging off for 24 hours starting Aug 6th. @postplus-protest has more info about that.

Today marks the first year of my series Lonely Darkness

This is a truly worthwhile project in which I invest all my strength and soul to this day. I am glad that thanks to this project I met many wonderful people who support and promote my creativity

For me, this is an unusual experience in creating something new for myself and I’m glad that people like to see how the history of my little project develops

Thanks to everyone who participated in this and who supports me to this day. I don't have enough words to express my gratitude

This project saved me when I was really bad and I'm glad that I can contribute to the Slenderverse
