Vivianna Amell

Yearning The pain in your chest bubbles knowing that what you want may never be yours. You're lost in a fantasy world, or consumed by what you wish you were or had as opposed to what you do. It's hard to appreciate what's around you when you're appreciating the hope of what could be instead.

This one is on point for Vivianna. Vivianna has a yearning for many things she wished she could go back in time and stay there for. Her Parents. Her friends in the Circle. Her freedom before becoming a Grey Warden against her will. She's tired of being on survival mode. Of the blood sheds. Of war. Of battle. 3. Did they put Bhelen or Harrowmont on the throne of Orzammar? Why?

Vivianna: Harrowmont. Which was very interesting that The Badass Mole did the same so it fits in our narrative world. But the why, Bhelen didn’t give me much confidence of what he wanted for the people of Orzammar was good. I can’t describe it but it was just something my gut said no to.

4. Did they destroy the Anvil of the Void, or leave it intact? Why?

Vivianna: I destroyed it at the request of Caridin. He knows why it had to be destroyed. As much as I would have loved to have known its secrets and reasons, he knew it wasn’t something to keep and I wasn’t going to go against that.

1. How does your Warden feel about Morrigan sleeping with Alistair/Loghain for the Dark Ritual, if applicable?

Vivianna: Well, you’re going to have to ask Loghain because i’m not sure how he felt hahahahaha! xD

1. Did the Inquisitor support or conscript the Templars or Mages? Why? Was it something personal, or did they choose whichever side for another reason?

Gissella: I supported the Templars and I support what they stand for: To protect mages against themselves.

3. What happened to the Grey Wardens as a whole? Were they allowed to stay, or were they exiled? Why?

Gissella: I allowed them to stay. What happened to them is something that wasn’t entirely their fault. I’m not even quite sure I understand what happened to them during that battle.

5. Who drank from Mythal’s Well? Was there any real reasoning, or did they do it for the vine?

Gissella: I drank from the well. If anyone has to pay a price, I will do so gladly for it. I am inquisitor and take my job protecting the nation very seriously and since no one else, besides Morrigan, was going to drink from it, I thought I rather have it’s knowledge than someone outside my circle. 

7. Who ended up becoming Divine Victoria. Is your Inquisitor happy with the Divine’s changes and policies? Are they bitter or angry about it?

Gissella: Madam Vivienne. I am very happy she is Divine and I look forward to all the good things she will do to help not just the people but Mages to prosper as well as help restore a bit of tranquility to the people who fear us.

1. What are things they both find funny?

Each other. LOL xD Alistair and Vivianna are too sarcastic/witty with each other and at times it can cause them to break out laughing. Especially when Vivianna imitates Alistair and he does the same. It’s funny to them. 

2. If they could each describe each other in one sentence, what would it be?

“How can something so beautiful exist in a place with so much despair and ugliness.” - Alistair.

“One glance at you and I know everything will turn out alright.” - Vivianna

5. What activities do they enjoy together?

Besides teasing each other and making fun of each other xD reading, going on strolls at night, getting into deep conversations or light ones or books they’ve read. The strolls are kind of vital to them. Its where they tend to actually communicate a lot, about many things. This isn’t just because they are so busy that leaves little time to bond but this is also how Vivi opens up the most and its why its their favorite activity to do as she isn’t good with just blurting things out, out of nowhere like Alistair is. So taking strolls at night before sleep, is not only soothing but very important bonding time for them.

6. What is/are their love language(s)?

Physical touch. Alistair and Vivianna have small ways to give comfort or love affirmations that is most touched based. Either a squeeze of their shoulders, touching each other’s face, grazing their fingers passing by, holding hands, etc.

11. What causes them to fight?

Honestly, what doesn’t cause them to fight? I swear, there is like one small argument happening out of the blue with these two! While some aren’t actually serious, some can be very serious and those kinds of serious fights only happen when it merits to do so, such as the decision to recruit Zevran or dealing with Isolde.

14. What would be a dealbreaker?

Cheating. But then, it doesn’t matter now as Alistair is king and married to Anora.

17. What senses (sights, smells, feelings, etc). remind them of each other?

Sunsets remind Vivianna of Alistair. The smell of steel being made with a blacksmith. For some reason that smell reminds her of Alistair. Feelings of things going to be okay reminds her of Alistair.

Roses remind Alistair of Vivianna. The smell of lavender with honey. The feeling you get when seeing the morning come up at dawn. A new day feeling, reminds him of Vivianna.

21. How have they changed each other for the better/for the worse?

Better. They are hard on each other a bit but its for the better. Both learned a lot from each other. Although both grew up with nothing basically, even being “noble born” they had a lot of similarities but they grew together. They challenged each other because they were worth it to each other, to do hard for each other. Their love was deep. Selfless. Trust. Beautiful. 

Walking away, was the hardest thing Vivianna had to do. For the second time. As the first time walking away from her parents when she was taken, was the most difficult thing she had to do. “How do you look at the one you love and tell yourself it is time to walk away?” this quote from a movie lingers in my thoughts with Vivianna with this scene. For Alistair, choosing duty wasn’t an easy choice. But it had to be done. And there isn’t a single moment Alistair doesn’t think about that choice. About her. But it had to be done.

31. What do they love to do after sex?

When they do have sex, cuddle. Make little remarks that can cause giggles.

32. Do they enjoy morning or night sex?

They enjoy morning IF they had sex the night prior. And morning sex happens rarely. And that’s because she’s the second to wake up, the first is Sten, before anyone else and she has to keep the group moving. So they don’t get to enjoy that morning after much.

Dandelion - Would you consider yourself stubborn?

Vivianna: Oh, im very much stubborn.

Gissella: Depends on the situation really. 

Safety - What is the most traumatic experience in your life?

Vivianna:... I... I can’t... im... sorry... i’m so sorry... I... please forgive me...

Gissella: Its okay Annie... you don’t have to say anything it’s okay. As for me, I’ve had more rough times being Inquisitor than in my own personal life so I can’t really say I have had a most traumatic experience. Mostly just, close calls with death as an inquisitor.

Daffodil - Do you like trying new things? What is something new you’d like to try?

Vivianna: Oh yes, absolutely! I love trying new things and writing down all about it! Something new I would like to try is brand new spells! There are so many spell books out there in other cities! I would love to know more spells!

Gissella: Same! I would love to know more spells! Trying things is actually a little difficult because I am more cautious and need to observe the new thing and what it is about before diving in completely and trying it. 

Blue - Are you a creative person? How do you like to be creative?

Vivianna: I suppose I am. I do sketches of everything I find interesting, fascinating, cute, handsome, beautiful, colorful. Things like that. To be more creative or how I would want to be more creative, hmm... I suppose actively being able to implement a lot of my research. I’ve studied so much and just wish I could bring it to life. Perhaps it would make things better for the common people. But I need permissions and you know, navigate The Game to achieve such things which I don’t have time for and Grey Wardens need to remain neutral.

Gissella: I am very creative. But I am also one who is very clumsy haha. I tend to keep my nose in books and don’t know where i’m going but I am very creative at keeping myself out of death’s hands haha.

Teal - What makes you feel most at peace?

Vivianna and Gissella at the same time: Reading books, the usual. 

Turquoise - Are you good at communicating your feelings?

Vivianna: I would say 50/50. Not because i’m trying to be difficult, it’s just finding adequate words for these turmoil feelings. I’m too demanding, too aggressive, expect a lot of people, I don’t know how to describe it, so sometimes it comes out and others I have to walk away and ponder how to say something right. I partially raised noble and as such I need to carry myself as someone from my station even if I no longer bear the title to it.

Gissella: Not 100% but not 50/50 either. I keep to myself for this reason. I just don’t people. I really don’t know how to socialize and am too awkward. I tend to speak to the person as though they are a subject in my research, asking questions at random than getting to know them. I come off as very cold and rigid for this reason.

2. What was the first moment that they knew they were in love with their LI?

It was during and after Nature of Beast quest did Vivianna felt something for him more than just a friend. They became close during Return to Ostagar and the Journey towards that mission, things started to change a little. The way I got about Vivianna’s Journey after Lothering is Arl of Redcliffe, The Circle, Back to the Arl of Redcliffe, The Stone Prisoner, The Urn of Sacred Ashes, Back to Arl of Redcliffe, Warden’s Keep, Return to Ostagar and then Nature of Beast. So in the mission of the Nature of Beast, its when she starts paying attention to him and after the mission, he’s just a constant in her mind where she feels strongly for him, to the point of blushing around him. 

5. How do they comfort each other when they are sad?

Vivianna stays away from him when shes sad and Alistair leaves her alone and waits for her to return to his side. If she wishes to talk about it, she doesn’t ask for hugs or pity. She just wants him to listen and guide her if it’s something that she needs advice from outside perspective of her own. Vivianna comforts Alistair by being by his side and hugging him if he needs it or just simply sit next to him while holding his hand and rubbing his back gently.

12. Do they have similar goals? If they clash, how do they deal?

Besides saving the country from the Blight? xD Um. I would say before Alistair was crowned king, they did have similar goals. Such as go explore to unique places. Bury Duncan. And find a way for change within the circles. 

25. Share any headcanons about their relationship.

Hmmm… One of my favorites is Alistair laying his head on her lap while she reads him one of her books and Alistair is super into it, talking while she reads outloud, excited to know and intrigued of what she’s reading. It’s adorable. :D

Aphrodite: what you find attractive in a person

Me: I would say I am mostly attracted to a person, be it friend or more, by their personality. The way they are kind and genuine and upfront about things and not afraid to be themselves. It’s inspiring and beautiful. 

Celestine: Pretty much the same. 

Vivianna: Basically. :)

Athena: share a piece of wisdom

Me: Uh… ah damn… I suck at giving wisdom to be honest. LOL 

Celestine: If anyone wondered, this is where I get it from. I sometimes suck at it too. 

Me: I would say my wisdom would be… be kind but take no shit. Is that wisdom? I always want to be kind and help wherever I can. It’s something that I have been doing since I was little. But like there is good, there is also bad parts to being kind, such as people taking advantage of it. I learned to say “stop” and “no,” when its one sided in any situation the hard way… 

Vivianna: Let go of conceptions. Your mind is a lot more open without preconceptions about things and you find a lot more out there. I made a lot of assumptions. Being inside the Tower basically my whole life and only relying on the books I have read, made me realize how inexperience I really was and how sheltered I was of the world. Nothing is what it seems and I hurt a lot of people being closed minded or quickly assuming things, jumping to conclusions of things that are not true. I love gaining knowledge and I read so much but it doesn’t compare to real life situations, problems, encounters… romance… 

Celestine: Ah romance. It’s such a wonderful genre to read. *hums* Anyway, my “wisdom” is: Thrive to be better than yesterday and always look forward to tomorrow but live in the present. 

Me: Nothing else to add?

Celestine: …Forgive me I… I don’t wish to elaborate further. You asked to share a piece of wisdom and I did the best I could give.

Vivianna would be the one to enjoy scary movies since she enjoys scary stories a lot. LOL she has fun scaring Alistair xD

I would say both. They enjoy festivities and something as Halloween would appeal to them. Dressing up would be fun. LOL I can see that happening.

Vivianna: If there is a way to avoid more bloodshed, I will like that option better. But if there isn’t, yes, I would kill for Alistair.

Both would be dangerous if they became violent.

Depends on the crime, otherwise, neither.

There are no televisions in Dragon Age but I can imagine Vivianna coming up with something clever and with Alistair’s help and his little figurines, they create a small spooky show for children or something like in camp but more mature and anything to make Alistair blush xD

I can see Vivianna proposing this idea out of curiosity about it. And of course Alistair saying NOPE. LOL

This is has The Badass Mole written all over it. Especially the gore ones. Or really violent ones. She loves especially the stories/adventures of Leliana and she always makes sure to add the violent and gore details.

Leliana. Especially to give children candy and dressing up either cute or really scary! She is just amazing like that :D

Both would. Both work together and are very resourceful and both did survive it anyway xD hahahaha!

The Badass Mole. And may the Maker watch over anyone in her way if someone harms Leliana. Leliana would too but Mathilde is 10x worse. She is on par with Celestine in this kind of mentality.

LOL Leliana startles or scares The Badass Mole since she is always very silent with her steps xD More than once she had to apologize with a knife to her neck. LOL

This is kind of hard to answer as well, Mathilde is violent but she is more of “vengeful” violent. She will go and plan out her revenge and then be violent but in a cold way. Leliana, I can see her be dangerous if violent.

Both would.

Both do since they have seen ghosts LOL

I can see Mathilde enjoying spooky shows on Television if Dragon Age had Television. But since not, the close thing she has if Leliana and her stories xD

Celestine: I wouldn’t say fond, but I dont mind this genre. I mostly like the very old black and white scary movies. :D

Gustav: I’m not fond either, but I wouldn’t mind if Claire wants to watch them.

But I am curious of why it was abandoned. What happened to this house or place to become this deserted and just stuff like that. *smiles at him* I don’t know, any small or big adventure with you is fun ^__^ I just don’t consider it “haunted” but just abandoned.

Jessica: Ooooohhhh that’s interesting, I also love discovering the story behind old houses. I’m always fascinated by mysteries and stories.

Gustav: I see. But the sounds are probably from the old furniture and such. And yes, I consider them just abandoned too. I don’t believe in those ghosts.

Celestine: Right?! I just love it too! I get so curious and I have so many questions and the stories are very interesting and sad, well some, are sad, others very intriguing. Well yeah. The wind blowing on a curtain making that “woosh” sound or it blew too hard and made a door slam or floor being old and reason why it creaks. And to me its abandoned as they left the house behind but why? That’s why I would like to explore a “real haunted house” or “places that are haunted.” Would be cool :)

9.Describe the way that they sleep.» Vivianna tosses and turns a lot alone. She has many nightmares due to the taint but before that she had nightmares of her parents and leaving. She misses them a lot, her parents. She cries herself to sleep. 

45.Do they believe in ghosts?» Yes and No. Yes because of the sentinels and what she has seen and then again no because there is always demons and magic involved when spirits are near so there is a logical explanation of why there is a ghost there. xD

56.What Hogwarts House would they be in?» I hijacked Bastet’s link to the Hogwarts sorting house lol. And she got:Griffindor! (HA! that’s my baby! xD) 

Gryffindors are unparalleled in their bravery and courage. You are a natural leader and are usually the first to step up to the plate in a crisis. You like to take risks, and are often rewarded by your ability to go where others cannot. However, you can be a little reckless, so be wary of situations in which you might be out of your depth!

75.How patient are they?» Oh Vivianna is very patient. It’s after what she sees in the Circle of Magi that her attitude and her patience is very much thin and everyone is walking on thin ice with her. 

95.What kind of things make them sad/depressed?» She is actually constantly sad as she really wished to see her parents again and Gissella again and just be “normal.” She hates her magic and well, to survive she needs it. But she hates being a mage. She wished she never had this “gift.” It took everything from her.

9. Describe the way that they sleep.» Bryant sleep’s anywhere to be honest. LOL XD And he doesn’t move. If you see him fall asleep somewhere and leave him there for the night, you will find him in that same position in the morning. He also is a very light sleeper. Any noise keeps him awake. He wakes up immediately. And then goes back to sleep in that same place and position he was in before he woke up. :D

45. Do they believe in ghosts?» Ah… yes and no? Yes because Bryant believes in the Turian’s belief. Spirits rather than God as he wants to believe that his father and his mother than he never had a chance to meet, is always with him wherever he goes, guiding him. No, because he is logical. He has a logical mind and knows that ghosts don’t exist besides the ones formed in his mind. 

56. What Hogwarts House would they be in?» LOL this one is going to be interesting. Taking the Hogwarts sorting house quiz and he got:Slytherin! (LOL D: What?!)

Slytherins are very determined and ambitious. They tend to have a clear vision of the future, and are very meticulous and directed when working towards their goals. You are a strong leader, because you possess the ability to stay firm in times of crisis and power through. Although you usually work best individually, remember the importance of close friendships to help you up when you’re down!

Hmm… well I can say he is determined. Ambitious only when it comes to his research but he is very much a paragon person. He won’t just go and do what needs to be done. He looks for many ways for his goals to be achieved without hurting anyone in anyway. But I can see this fitting him. :D

75. How patient are they?» Eh… it depends actually. Bryant is very patient with everyone. It’s when he has a thousand and one questions that he tends to get a bit impatient when he doesn’t get answers. He is also impatient when Celestine keeps him waiting xD or anyone keeps him waiting xD He doesn’t like waiting for long. XD 

95. What kind of things make them sad/depressed?» Seeing Celestine in anyway that is not happy, makes him sad. Remembering his father and the fact that he isn’t here, makes him a bit depressed as he misses his father greatly. Remembering that he has no parents at all, makes him depressed too. Also any loved one that is not there with him also makes him depressed. A failed experiment that he had high hopes for also makes him a bit sad but he bounces back. :D
