this post may just be a complete mish mash and jumble of thoughts but i think i've been hit with katsuro thoughts that won't let me go and so i'll blurt them out here in the meantime <3

something i think is truly beautiful about katsuro is that i dub him my honorary oto.me mc because you take one look at him and just. would never associate him with that side of the genre. he's male for the biggest example, but even then he's pretty tall (5'11 - anyone above 6 foot is considered the same height as him because he'd argue spending too much of his childhood in a cave stunted his growth) and his muscle would put him closer to a love interest than the mc themselves.

but that's because, deep down, it's his personality that shines out in comparison.

katsuro is one of my most shining examples that there is strength in remaining gentle in a cruel world. his childhood was a prime example of this, when he'd first recieved the powers he'd even considered for himself destroying all evidence that had taken place, but the reality he realised is that he couldn't, not for those who were innocent, those who grew up or spent their daily lives being fed lies they had no control over. this, to an extent, extends to those he comes to interact with for what must be the rest of his life. katsuro is predominantly framed as the 'i can fix them' type, always ready to help give someone else a second chance the way he was given, even if theirs is not immortality of sorts. he's a firm believer that 'evil' doesn't happen without reason, and therefore will choose to believe in the 'good' of those around him simply because he knows that no one else would, no one else could.

in that sense, he has a twist into his own bad ending that makes him more of a " yeah? well i could accept them as they are. you don't like the murder? grow up. the atrocities are part of them and ive decided they're funny" simply out of his understanding of the situation and what they are going to go through. when katsuro believes in someone, he doesn't see it as a point to let go because they are simply past a point of no return, it's about finding their own sort of regular in the middle.

i'll expand on this later but katsuro is around 1.5k years old (roughly) and whilst death is painful, he's long since grown to not fear it and takes it as a bit of a get out of jail free card atp, meaning hes not above getting involved in unsavoury sorts (aka. OTOM.E LOVE INTERESTS!!) to at least find them some achievable peace together. he's extremely reckless in what he does, because he's seperated himself from that part of his life, and wants to be the helping hand he needed when he was younger and left alone.

he's a good man, empathetic in a way and truly a freak in the other good evening 😭

Ok, for an AU I'm cooking up, what if my OC Periwinkle (who is actually a fragment of Void Termina's power with the full extent of their memories and abilities, though they are nice, until you physically smack/smack talk/hurt the feelings her friends out of malice (she's able to sense emotions), then she will not hesitate to bonk you with a live explosive (expert with the Bomb copy ability) and "give you a proper lesson on not hurting my friends".) met your Galacta Knight? How would the situation play out? (Maybe Galacta comes to her universe then destroys her friend's cooking utensils, and she decides to spare the vandal no chill at all.)

hmmm i'm not suuuper comfortable answering questions like this, sorry! especially with folks who i don't know well... i don't really know your oc and i'm also not comfortable just being like "well he k-words (the oc)" to strangers who might not find that fun, yanno?

i think you'd have to characterise him in a way that suited you and your story/oc/au/needs, and then decide from there! like... what you described with the cooking utensils... no, my version of him wouldn't do anything like that haha. so you'd need to make your own charactisation where something like that worked!

i'd enjoy being That Person With The Evil Galacta Knight Characterisation and i'm happy to answer general questions about my personal hcs of him for sure, but i certainly don't have any sort of monopoly on making him nasty. i feel like there's actually a significant amount of evidence in canon itself for him to be Not Nice! so you can of course characterise your own version of him however you like too!!

the galacta knight that i personally headcanon (who is mostly present in awtdy au) is simultaneously chill and unchill. if someone minds their business and doesn't get in his way or interrupt his plans- which revolve around kirby and meta knight in awtdy au- he doesn't really care about them. this is kind of evident in the way he overlooks bandee's potential entirely.

however if they are a threat to him or his plans, he deals with them. he also sometimes takes a sadistic interest in figures he can project the things he hates onto. in our headcanons in particular he has a specific hatred of dark matter and mages, if that works for you and gives you anything to chew on! fwiw in the star allies arc of awtdy void termina is never released, because galacta knight lays eyes on hyness for 0.2 seconds before fileting him like a fish.

he's just not really a hesitater. and that takes most folks- who want to talk, who want to monologue, who maybe have the hope this can be sorted out- by enough surprise that he generally gets in there first.

To me, the relationship between Max (Pres. Ravinstill) and his family but especially Felix and my two Ravinstill cousin OCs is like if they were all standing by a ledge, and Max gave them all a length of rope and then left to go get cigarettes or something.

He’d meant for them to tie the rope around their waists to make sure they didn’t fall, but he completely failed to communicate that to them, so when he came back, he found that they'd all hanged themselves

tldr, everything he'd ever done that he thought would keep them safe or make them happy killed them.

Longfeather isn’t the most innocent of cats, having a small bit of a sadistic manner even to a cat they love- or did love. They have a fear of battle due to this, and Berrystar excuses them from major ones. Their worst injury was the ankle break as they still has chronic pain
