Online RJS Notes: A Smart Study Companion for RJS Aspirants
Tumblr media
In today’s digital age, the way we study and prepare for competitive exams has evolved significantly. For Rajasthan Judicial Services (RJS) aspirants, the availability of Online RJS Notes has brought a revolutionary change in exam preparation strategies. These notes are no longer just an alternative; they have become a primary study resource for thousands of candidates aiming to crack the prestigious judicial services examination in Rajasthan.
What are Online RJS Notes?
Online RJS Notes are digitized study materials specifically curated for the RJS exam, which includes topics from law, general knowledge, current affairs, language papers, and more. These notes are usually prepared by experts, law faculties, or former toppers and are available in downloadable formats like PDF, or as part of video lectures, apps, and learning platforms.
Accessible on laptops, tablets, and smartphones, these notes offer a flexible, on-the-go learning solution for students who may not have access to traditional classroom coaching or want to supplement their studies with high-quality resources.
Advantages of Using Online RJS Notes
1. Time-Saving and Convenient
One of the biggest advantages of Online RJS Notes is convenience. Aspirants can access these notes anytime and from anywhere, eliminating the need to travel to coaching centers or sift through bulky law books. Whether you are working part-time, a final-year law student, or living in a remote town, online notes provide uninterrupted access to quality preparation material.
2. Comprehensive Coverage of Syllabus
Online RJS Notes are usually designed to present the complete RJS syllabus in a clear, concise, and well-organized manner. Topics like the Indian Penal Code, Civil Procedure Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Constitution of India, Indian Evidence Act, and more are broken down into digestible segments. This ensures aspirants can quickly grasp complex concepts and memorize key sections and case laws effectively.
3. Regular Updates and Current Affairs
Most platforms that provide Online RJS Notes also include regular updates on current affairs, recent judgments, and amendments in laws — which are crucial for both the preliminary and mains exams. Unlike printed books that can quickly become outdated, online notes can be updated instantly to reflect the latest information.
4. Visual and Interactive Learning
Many digital RJS note providers include diagrams, flowcharts, legal illustrations, and even interactive quizzes. This visual representation helps aspirants understand the topics better and retain them for longer. For example, complex procedures like framing of charges or the stages of a civil suit can be better understood through visual aids.
5. Affordable and Cost-Effective
Traditional coaching and law preparation books can be expensive. Online RJS Notes are often available at a fraction of the cost and sometimes even free. This democratizes access to quality resources and allows financially constrained students to compete on equal footing.
How to Choose the Best Online RJS Notes?
With a growing number of platforms offering RJS preparation content, it’s important to select notes that are trustworthy and exam-focused. Here’s what to look for:
Expertise and Authorship: Ensure the notes are prepared by experienced legal educators or past RJS toppers.
Syllabus Alignment: The notes should strictly follow the RJS syllabus prescribed by the Rajasthan High Court.
Language Preference: Choose notes available in both English and Hindi if you are more comfortable studying bilingually.
Practice Content: Look for notes that include model questions, previous year papers, and answer-writing tips for mains.
User Reviews: Always read user feedback and testimonials to gauge the usefulness of the notes.
Best Subjects to Cover Through Online Notes
Here’s a quick list of subjects that can be efficiently covered using Online RJS Notes:
Constitutional Law
Criminal Law (IPC, CrPC, Evidence Act)
Civil Law (CPC, Limitation Act, Specific Relief Act)
Rajasthan Local Laws
Essay and Language Paper (Hindi & English)
Current Affairs and GK (National and Rajasthan-specific)
Final Thoughts
The path to cracking the RJS exam is challenging, requiring dedication, strategy, and the right resources. Online RJS Notes offer a modern, efficient, and intelligent way to prepare for this competitive exam. They combine accessibility with quality, helping aspirants stay consistent and updated without the need for heavy books or costly coaching.
As the competition grows fiercer each year, adopting smart preparation methods becomes more important than ever. Leveraging Online RJS Notes not only helps you study better but also gives you the flexibility and confidence needed to succeed. Whether you're starting your RJS journey or revising in the final months, make sure to include high-quality Online RJS Notes in your study toolkit — they might just be the difference between success and setback.

hey! i appreciate you offering me some advice!
i’m workin on my first ever fic (and creative writing for that matter lmao) and i keep running into the same issue
i’m really struggling to come up with plot/story. if i have like key moments or anything i have no issue writing it. i have a few pivotal moments that i want to happen but filling in the moments between them is super hard for me. is there any way to get over this?
Most people have a few key scenes they want to see when they think of writing a story, and it's normal not to know how to link them together. My longfic was my first try at creative fiction. Here's some of the thought process behind how I took my fic from an idea to a story arc!
Planning a story arc is about developing the journey. How did your main character get from Point A to B?
There's so much that goes into this answer, so here's a table of contents for this post:
Writer mental health: Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Process
Planning Documents
Question Everything
Study [Part 1] Themes & Motivation
Study [Part 2] The Source Material & Your Inspirations
Study [Part 3] Storycraft
Sidequest: Questions, themes, motivation & storycraft for a story about nothing
🧠Writer mental health: Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Process: I've written a post or two about perfectionism and writer mental health. Stories are sort of like plants; writers are like gardeners. No plant or story is fully formed from the jump. If your idea is a plant, then it grows from a seed. If a writer is a gardener, then they're tending a plant that grows over time. Allow yourself to make changes. Be willing to draft the story, edit, then sleep on it for a day or two and edit again before you post it online. You can always press the edit button after publication. I'm starting with this because the sooner you develop a growth mindset, the more likely you will avoid common writer mental health pratfalls. Treat writing like an oil painting in a museum: it began from a sketch and wasn't done all in one go. This point might not feel relevant until you have a bad day as a writer.
📝Planning documents: Take notes on anything and everything. Most writing software will have an outline/table of contents feature to help you organize. One document could be character notes, another might be a timeline of events. One could be scene ideas. Don't feel pressured to explain yourself too much. Treat these documents as scrap paper where you can write down quick ideas and move on; use a bullet point format. As my fic grew, my documents and the contents changed. Mine are now quite messy, and I don't feel the need to use them every chapter. I've outgrown them to a degree, but I still have them for my own reference.
I encourage you to avoid deleting large sections, even if you retcon an idea. Instead, move them to a cutting room floor document. You never know what you're going to need, and though it's in your head right now, you never know what you might forget.
❓Question Everything: While you know who your characters and what some big pivotal scenes are, you need to ask Who, What, When, Where, Why & How about these people and events. If you're from an analytical background such as law or journalism, you were trained to think this way when you learned issue spotting.
Asking these questions about the pivotal scenes and characters will spawn further questions you need to answer, which will then help you figure out what to write in-between the big scenes. If your pivotal scene is a fight between the Hero and a Big Bad, or the Love Interest proposing to the main character, you should ask questions about how the characters got there. What is the conflict between the Hero and the Big Bad? How did the MC and Love Interest meet? What challenges did they have along the way?
The genesis of my fic began with these questions. I thought:
"[What] would I do to fix the canon Fallout 4 [Who] RJ MacCready story?" I was then granted a vision of RJ hiking in the snowy mountains of [Where] Banff National Park. The [Why] was "Med-Tek didn't work out". That partly answered the [When] (North America in the post-apocalypse, over two hundred years since the bombs dropped; at the end of RJ's canon story). [How] did they figure out he needs to go to Banff?
After this idea took hold of my brain, I kept asking questions. As I answered them, I kept notes.
[What] happened at Med-Tek? [How] does RJ get from Boston to Banff? If this fic begins at the end of his canon story, [Who] is the Sole Survivor who helped him through it? [Where] are the key locations in Banff RJ should go and [Why]?
Some questions are more pertinent to explain than others. For example, travel was a big question I had to solve given my story is set in a post-apocalyptic version of our world. Distance travel- unless you're a caravan or the Brotherhood of Steel- is a luxury for your average Wastelander. So I looked up the closest real world equivalent to a vertibird (a tiltrotor aircraft such as the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey), spent time researching forums and roughly figured out how much fuel and how many stops a vertibird would need between Boston and Banff.
Another writer in the Fallout fandom might not find that pertinent or put in the same research. I value being able to point at something and say, "Oh, I figured that out" to help me better inform my writing.
📗Study [Part 1] Themes & Motivation: Ok, so you're thinking about how the Hero got involved with the Big Bad and the conflict between them; you started with the proposal and marriage between your MC and Love Interest and are now thinking of how they met and how their families react to their partnership.
What are your character's goals and objectives?
What is their background? What makes them think or feel a certain way? Keep in mind that people are complex. A traumatized person isn't always "acting" traumatized to the other characters or the audience.
What are some activities you've observed in real life relationships?
What do your characters like to do when they aren't working?
Who are your characters outside of the events of the story? Who are they before the story? Who are they after? If the story events didn't happen, who would they be instead?
What does one character observe in a room that another will not notice? If one character turns their nose up at a concept or idea, why or why not?
How does your character react under pressure?
What classic literary tropes apply to your character/story? Can you mix and match, or subvert a classic trope?
A love story is rarely ever just a love story. A superhero movie is rarely ever just about superpowers and fighting. What themes, concepts or ideas do you want to explore? Do you have any intellectual curiosities or side hobbies you want to bring to your writing? I really love studying philosophy and enjoy hiking. I am a big fan of works that examine the relationships humans have with nature and each other, as well as the nature of power. These are two things that make my fanfiction different: my characters react to their environments. They observe differences between Banff/Boston and remark upon what happened to Earth when the bombs fell. One of the best compliments I ever had on my fic was from a reader from Alaska who saw their childhood home reflected in Banff's boreal forest; who almost felt as though they could smell the environment by reading the story. My wife @edaworks is a multihyphenate and autodidact- statistician, sociologist, attorney, hobby archaeologist and cosplayer among many other things. In her fic, she brings completely different ideas to Fallout than I do.
📙Study [Part 2] The Source Material & Your Inspirations:
If you struggle to think of ideas relating to the central conflict, you can always return to the source material.
Are there details you notice that you have questions about?
Is there a character interaction that intrigues you?
Is there something you feel the original creator didn't explain? (For me, I wanted to figure out how resource-intensive travel like flight is possible in Fallout.)
Outside of the original text, think about works by other people that inspire you to make your own work. What intrigues you about what they do? How does your fave author or director handle the moments in between the pivotal scenes?
What literature outside of fanfiction do you enjoy? (Some of my fave books are House of Leaves, Infinite Jest, Walden, Le Petit Prince, The Catcher in the Rye, The Road, Ulysses, Blood Meridian and The Lord of the Rings.)
Do you enjoy comedy? Do you have a particular sense of humour because your parents raised you on Laugh-In and Richard Pryor? How can you infuse your story with jokes?
What movies or TV shows had an impact on you as a kid? Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill is a love letter to the stories he was inspired by. In turn, Kill Bill inspired my own story. I'm also influenced by stories about courageous kids navigating a corrupt adult world as well as industrialization vs nature, such as in Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Akira, Princess Mononoke. A lot of what I like is hyperdetailed in some way, be it via dense themes, immaculate cinematography or intricate set design.
What music do you listen do? Are there musicians who explore themes that resonate with the story you're writing?
📚 Study [Part 3] Storycraft: Learn about story structures and basic plot types to help you figure out how to build the overall story arc. Get to know your genre.
Note that you're not required to choose a story structure/plot type/genre. Approach to story delivery depends on cultural tradition, genre and the means with which the story is told. An awareness of them will help you understand how you can build your story.
A radio play, college graduation speech and a bedtime story are all part of the oral tradition. Despite being different stories intended for different audiences, all three could be told with a variety of story structures, or the same one. This chart from r/screenplay compares different approaches to story structure. There's even an entry for the Scientific Method.
If your story falls somewhere in the action/adventure genre, a story structure that might help is Joseph Campbell's monomyth; a three-act structure that watches a hero move from a known to unknown world and back again. Published in 1949, The Hero with a Thousand Faces posited that many heroic works can be boiled down to a similar story structure. You might know it as The Hero's Journey. A good movie for examining The Hero's Journey is Hercules (1997).
Tumblr media
(The above image is from Bookfox. <- The linked page has similar graphics & explanations for other structures.)
Tumblr media
After acquainting ourselves with the Ordinary World of Ancient Greece and Hades' meddling, Weirdo Freak Whom Do Be Too Strong Hercules visits the Temple of Zeus, who tells Herc he can earn his godhood- the Call Of Adventure. Hercules now wants to go the distance and find where he belongs. Zeus sends him to Meet The Mentor, Phil. After a training montage, Hercules and Phil go to Thebes and cross The First Threshold into the Unknown World. Herc wants something, encounters trials & a massive ordeal, then returns to the Known World a changed man.
Let's say one of your pivotal scenes is a huge fight between the Hero and the Big Bad. You could place that almost anywhere on the right side of the wheel. The Call to Adventure could be the first fight. The fights and conflict could get worse until a major fight happens at The Ordeal. Whatever you do, the audience needs to see the pivotal scene contextualized in some way. Whether you begin the story with a fight or are leading up to one, we want to see why it happened. You want to lay the groundwork and context for the pivotal events.
The pivotal events don't mean anything without context to support them, and the audience will not root for your characters if we don't see them struggle and/or aren't given reasons to care or get to know them.
Keep in mind it's not all about drama. Ideally, The Hero's Journey helps an author deliver layers of information that ranges from telling us about the characters' journey/everyday lives to showing the audience details that leads toward the central conflict. Maybe your characters are having a casual lunch and they see people running and screaming down the street. It's out of context in the moment, but it tells the audience, "Something's going on in this story that isn't right". Setup, payoff: the audience learns the reason why things aren't right when you contextualize them through supporting evidence.
These videos [1] [2] by Extra Credits explain the monomyth through an analysis of the video game Journey.
"But Tumblr User twosides--samecoin," you ask, "I'm not writing a heroic journey. What if I want to write a story about people just hanging out?"
👕Sidequest: Questions, themes, motivation & storycraft for a story about nothing
While your Hero doesn't need to slay monsters, some degree of conflict is necessary in most stories. Even the slicest of stories in the slice of life genre like Lucky Star have at least an episode or arc that has some problem to solve.
Seinfeld is known as being "a show about nothing", except that's not quite true. It's a slice of life comedy series that explores the misadventures of a friend group. Many episodes are predicated on telling a certain joke, gag, or are about seeing how the characters act in absurd situations. It's never about nothing. When the show was pitched to NBC, Seinfeld said: "We want to show how a comedian gets his material". The show is about mundane/everyday situations and turning people's worst tendencies into comedy gold.
Example: Seinfeld, season 5 episode 2: The Puffy Shirt
Tumblr media
Who: is Jerry Seinfeld? Jerry is the titular character and a comedian. Also-ran are Elaine and George, as well as Kraemer and his new girlfriend, Leslie.
What: the fuck is that garment? The puffy shirt in question is considered a MacGuffin.
When/Where: Early/mid 90's NYC. Jerry's apartment, a photo studio, a restaurant, The Today Show.
Why: It's funny to see a grown-ass man act a fool about a bad fashion choice because of a miscommunication. He has to go on The Today Show and the host mocks the shirt, leading Jerry to snap about it, which then offends Leslie.
How: Jerry mishears Leslie, who has a very quiet speaking voice. In an effort to be polite, he accidentally agrees to wear the puffy shirt on The Today Show while pretending to understand her.
Themes: Miscommunication, humiliation, consequences arising from false politeness, awkward situations
Motivation: Jerry was motivated to be nice in an effort to accommodate Leslie's low talking volume in order to move the conversation along. He didn't realize he was agreeing to something he didn't want to do. This episode is not just about the humiliation Jerry suffers in the A plot- there are also B and C plots containing their own jokes that add to the tension of the episode, which all fall apart when Jerry snaps. Several plots and character arcs create pacing that feels like a boiling pot by the end of the episode: It's layers of mini jokes that support the main joke, which doesn't get a full punchline until the end. It's still one of the funniest 30 minutes of television ever produced, over three decades later.
Hope something in this ramble helps! Thanks for the ask, @publikoccurrences :)

ten people I’d like to know better tagged by @hepatosaurus, thanks for the tag :)
last song: Cubic, from the Escaflowne soundtrack. It's a really nice instrumental track with an exploratory and hopeful feel to it.
favorite color: it varies. Usually it's some variety of green, but lately it's been mustard yellow. Might be shifting back to turquoise, though.
last book I finished: Heavenly Tyrant by Xiran Jay Zhao, which was very different from the first book, but in ways that really worked for me. Also, i really like the audiobook narrator.
last movie: … I'm gonna be honest here, I don't watch movies all that often so I'm kinda coming up dry here. I have never watched a movie in my life, what is a movie?
last tv show: Death Note. I finally got around to watching it the other month, and I really enjoyed it. I especially like the second opening song.
sweet/spicy/savory: sour
last thing I searched for online: "how to pronounce Javier", because that's one of the characters in this webtoon I got into recently, The Greatest Estate Developer. It's a fun isekai.
current obsession: in Minecraft, I am building a floating island in the sky, complete with wizard tower, overhead of my main base, linking up to other similar sky-islands by railways. The wizard tower is pink cherry wood, which I went searching for deliberately (and then forgot to note down the coordinates when I found it, oops), and I'm building it for my girlfriend, and she thinks it's very sweet.
something I’m looking forward to: the next time my partner and I are on the same continent. We've got some exciting plans that I'm extremely stoked for. Unclear yet when precisely that will happen, but it will happen in the not-too-distant future.

RJ's Platinum Collection #29: Warp Drive
Tumblr media
Achieved on 5/28/2023 at 11:44 PM
I saw this game when it became available as a free download for PS Plus one month. It looked pretty fun - a racing game where the big gimmick is that you're driving flying futuristic sci-fi race cars and you can warp your car ahead of your competition that's filled with trippy neon colors? It sounds like a good time!
However, while getting this Platinum, I discovered that this game had a lot of flaws.....and also I appear to be the only human being on Earth who has heard of it.
The moment you start the game and choose a save file, a blue alien named Lenny fills you in on how the game works. You have three game modes: Tournament, where you can race across several different courses to win the gold; Challenge, where you complete a race while trying to complete special criteria, like collecting 50 coins before you reach the Finish Line; and Survival, where you choose between two different Event Races and see how many wins you can rack up without losing.
While racing, you can grab glowing crystals, which is the only way you can use any of the Warp abilities the cars have. This includes boosting crazy fast, warping to alternate paths or shortcuts, placing traps for your competitors, or firing rockets at your competitors. One use of power per crystal.
After each race, you also are automatically taken into the Shop, where you can choose to purchase a randomly selected part and install it in your car. However, you can choose to skip any parts you don't want, and the parts get rarer and better the more you level up your racer.
After learning all of that, I completed my first race and got my first trophy, and then got another trophy for buying my first car part.
1/33: Qualifier - Win a Race Position Event.
2/33: Moving Up In The World - Buy your first car part.
Tournament Mode is the only mode where you can play multiplayer. However, the game does not have online mode.
Yeah, that's correct. If you want to play with friends or actual real competitors instead of AI-controlled cars, you HAVE to play split-screen, in-person. As I did not have any friends who wanted to come play this game with me, I played the entire game solo.
I decided to start with just completing all of the six Tournaments. While playing the first Tournament in the Great Mushroom Forest, I got a couple trophies for completing some special moves.
3/33: Hit And Run - Spin out an opponent.
4/33: Was That Supposed To Happen? - Perform a Drift Mini Boost.
I then continued playing through all the Tournaments. I won the Great Mushroom Forest tournament, then I won the Blizzard Gully tournament (side note, the maps for Blizzard Gully are racecourses built around a gargantuan-sized frozen alien squid, which is very cool to me), and then I won the Jumping Dunes tournament.
5/33: Forest Fireball - Win a Gold Trophy in the Great Mushroom Forest Tournament.
6/33: Chilly Champion - Win a Gold Trophy in the Blizzard Gully Tournament.
7/33: Sandy Speedster - Win a Gold Trophy in the Jumping Dunes Tournament.
It was here that I discovered that these are the only three racing worlds. Sure, they each have about five different racecourses in them, but by the time I got the Platinum I was very bored of all three worlds. I wish that the game had more variety.
Anyways, once I completed the tournaments for each world, I completed the last three tournaments - Kappa, Sigma, and Omega - which were a bit more challenging than the other tournaments. However, I was easily able to beat them and get more trophies.
8/33: Big Spender - Buy 10 car parts.
9/33: Warp Master - Win a Gold Trophy in the Kappa Tournament.
10/33: Master Booster - Win a Gold Trophy in the Sigma Tournament.
11/33: Champion Driver - Win a Gold Trophy in the Omega Tournament.
Once I finished all of the Tournaments, I went into Challenge Mode next. I can't quite remember how many challenges were in the game, but they would only unlock once you had completed a certain number of other challenges.
Fuck. These. Challenges.
They started off being very easy, but very quickly they became almost impossible. Some of the challenges were SO DAMN HARD. For context, I started playing challenges in March. I didn't finish the challenges until MAY. But in playing all of the challenges, I got several other trophies, but I did quickly lose my mind from the insane jump in difficulty.
12/33: Just Getting Started... - Complete 5 challenges.
13/33: Speedrunner - Win a Time Trial Event.
14/33: Eat My Dust! - Win a Rival Event.
15/33: Road Rage - Spin out opponents 100 times.
16/33: Practice Makes Perfect! - Complete 20 challenges.
Somehow it took me until now to finally decide to change my car's color, but I did get a trophy for it, and continued on with slogging through the challenges.
17/33: Much Prettier! - Buy your first paint job.
18/33: Rolling In It - Collect 100 coins in a Bonus Race Event.
At some point I also got the trophies for boosting and using warp drive 1000 times each, and then got up to Level 10. For some reason, leveling is an extremely slow process in this game. Level 10 was also the top level, which. I mean. Come on. 10? 10 is not exciting Warp Drive. Let me get to Level 25 at least.
19/33: Gotta Go Fast - Boost 1000 times.
20/33: Transcended Time and Space - Warp 1000 times.
21/33: Ding! - Reach Level 10.
Eventually I was able to finish all of the challenges, getting me three more trophies.
22/33: Treetop Challenger - Complete all challenges in Great Mushroom Forest.
23/33: Arctic Adventurer - Complete all challenges in Blizzard Gully.
24/33: Wilderness Warrior - Complete all challenges in Jumping Dunes.
I started playing Survival Mode, and decided to start with trying to get 30 wins in Survival in a row. This was a bit of a challenge, but at some point during my attempt to get 30 wins in a row, I finally got my first Mythic car part show up in the Shop. These are the BEST car parts in the entire game, so I was excited for one of them to finally spawn for me.
25/33: Ooh Shiny! - Equip a Mythic car part.
I did eventually manage to get 30 wins in a row, and from that point on all I had left to do was to win 100 events in Survival Mode in total in order to finish my Platinum journey.
26/33: Unbeatable - Get a win streak of 30 in Survival.
Well I also had several grindy trophies to get for performing certain warp moves a specific number of times, as well as a trophy for equipping Mythic parts in every slot on my car, and a trophy for earning a total of 50,000 coins. Just based on how much I had to play the game to even get halfway to those goals, I was really worried about how long those would take.
However, to my own surprise, I managed to get all of those trophies while attempting to win 100 total events in Survival Mode.
27/33: Became A God - Equip a Mythic car part in every slot.
28/33: Professional Artist - Buy 10 paint jobs.
29/33: The Road Less Traveled - Warp Grapple 250 times.
30/33: Drift Master - Perform a Drift Mini Boost 250 times.
31/33: Paid Off Your Mortgage - Earn 50,000 coins in total.
And then I won my 100th event, and I got the Warp Drive platinum - and I kind of suspect I may be one of maybe six people on the planet who have it!
32/33: Made A Name For Yourself - Win 100 events in total in Survival.
33/33: Total Completion - Unlock all trophies.
This game has flaws - the lack of proper online play, the insane difficulty spikes, the lack of unique courses, etcetera. But I really liked it and still had fun, and was very satisfied to Platinum it.
I just think its wild how little this game seems to be known. Even though it was available for free on PS Plus for a whole month, I have found barely anyone on Tumblr talk about it, there's almost no reviews for it anywhere online, and there are like zero YouTube videos of people playing it.
Just find it odd, but it's still a fun Platinum!

"Kid Charlemagne" Steely Dan with lyrics - YouTube
youtube
In a 2000 online chat with the BBC, Walter Becker explained the model for “Kid Charlemagne.”
I would say it was very loosely inspired by a character named Owsley. His name was actually Augustus Stanley Owsley. He was a well-known psychedelic chef of the day. Later a sound man for the Grateful Dead. I believe he’s still alive.
In Breaking Bad episode “Down” (Season 2, Episode 4), Walter White (Cranston) praises Steely Dan for their musicianship in a conversation with his son (RJ Mitte). Steely Dan’s meticulous musicianship in the studio mirrors Walt’s production in the lab.
It is possible that writers Vince Gilligan and Sam Catlin were also referencing “Kid Charlemagne” and Owsley, the song’s subject.
In a 2011 New York Times article, it is noted that Owsley “turned out acid said to be purer and finer than any other.” The next sentence also beckons a direct comparison to Walt: “He was among the first individuals (in many accounts, the very first) to mass produce the drug.” Mr. Owsley was also a cancer survivor.

Coaching can be a significant asset for successfully cracking the Rajasthan Judicial Services Examination (RJSE), though its importance varies from candidate to candidate. Here are some reasons why coaching might be beneficial, as well as considerations for those who may prefer self-study:
visit website : www.rajasthali.org.in
Benefits of Coaching Structured Learning:
Coaching institutes offer a structured curriculum that covers the entire syllabus systematically, ensuring that candidates do not miss any important topics. Expert Guidance:
Experienced faculty members provide insights into complex legal concepts, examination patterns, and effective study techniques. They often have firsthand knowledge of the exam and can offer valuable tips. Study Material:
Coaching centers provide comprehensive study materials, including notes, case law summaries, previous years’ question papers, and model answers. This can save candidates significant time in material preparation. Mock Tests and Practice:
Regular mock tests and practice sessions help candidates gauge their preparation levels, improve time management, and get accustomed to the exam format. Feedback from these tests is crucial for identifying and addressing weaknesses. Peer Learning:
Interacting with fellow aspirants can enhance learning through group discussions, sharing resources, and collaborative study sessions. Motivation and Discipline:
Attending coaching classes can instill a routine and discipline in study habits. The competitive environment can also keep candidates motivated and focused on their goals. Considerations for Self-Study Self-Motivation:
Candidates who are highly self-motivated and disciplined may not need coaching. They can create their own study schedules and follow through diligently. Access to Resources:
With the availability of online resources, books, and study materials, motivated candidates can effectively prepare on their own. Online forums, legal websites, and educational platforms provide ample content for comprehensive preparation. Cost:
Coaching can be expensive. For candidates who are on a tight budget, self-study can be a more economical option. Personalized Study Plan:
Self-studiers can tailor their preparation to their personal strengths and weaknesses, focusing more on areas where they need improvement. Flexible Schedule:
Self-study allows for a flexible study schedule, accommodating candidates who may be working or have other commitments. Conclusion While coaching can provide structured guidance, expert insights, and a supportive learning environment, it is not the only path to success. Many candidates have successfully cleared the Rajasthan Judicial Services Examination through self-study, leveraging available resources and maintaining disciplined study routines. Ultimately, the decision to pursue coaching should be based on individual learning preferences, financial considerations, and personal circumstances. Whether through coaching or self-study, dedication, consistent effort, and a strategic approach are key to cracking the RJS exam.

The much-anticipated matchup between the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of their playoff series did not disappoint. With both teams hungry for victory and eager to make a statement, the stage was set for an intense battle on the hardwood. Here's a recap of what went down in this thrilling showdown:
**First Quarter**: The game started with a fast pace as both teams came out firing on all cylinders. The Knicks' defense was suffocating, while their offense found success behind the scoring prowess of Julius Randle and RJ Barrett. However, the 76ers countered with a balanced attack led by Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris. The quarter ended with the Knicks holding a slim lead, but the momentum was clearly up for grabs.

The quarter ended with the 76ers holding a narrow lead, setting the stage for an intense second half.
**Third Quarter**: The Knicks came out of halftime with renewed energy and determination. Their defense tightened up, forcing turnovers and contested shots. On the offensive end, Randle continued to showcase his scoring ability, while Barrett and Rose provided valuable support. The 76ers, however, refused to back down, as Embiid and Harris continued to shoulder the scoring load. The quarter ended with the Knicks clinging to a slim lead, setting the stage for a thrilling fourth quarter.

**Fourth Quarter**: With the game hanging in the balance, both teams elevated their play to another level. The Knicks' defense continued to frustrate the 76ers, while their offense executed with precision. However, the 76ers refused to go away, mounting a furious comeback behind the stellar play of Embiid and Harris. With time winding down and the score tied, it was anyone's game. In the final seconds, a clutch three-pointer from Barrett gave the Knicks the lead, and a defensive stop sealed the victory.
**Final Score**: New York Knicks 110, Philadelphia 76ers 107
In the end, Game 1 was a hard-fought battle between two determined teams. The Knicks emerged victorious, but the series is far from over. With plenty of basketball left to be played, both teams will need to regroup and adjust for the challenges that lie ahead. One thing is for certain: fans can expect more thrilling action as the series unfolds.:

10 Years Anniversary
PART 6
The good.
This part is for the good shit. No more bad shit. If you have gone through the shit of the previous parts, there are only good vibes here.
Number 1.
This bloody blog itself.
I did not have that intention but it happened. When I think what kind of blog I would love to scroll for hours in my early days as WoT fan, I could not dream that I had to do the task myself. I still remember the awe and the glee as little kid in toy store when I found out the 13th Depositary or the Theoryland Database. I can only envy my visitors who received new art, new meme, new fan content every single day for the span of years. I can only imagine it as I cannot experience it myself. Yeah, there is fun part as well but mostly I remember the work, the dedication and the motivation, the insanity of running this project. Some days I didn't want to do it but I had to because the stubborn donkey in me wouldn't let me live in peace.
I salute you anonymous WoT fans who had the time of your life around.
Number 2
Cards Against Randland
At my lowest point around 2015 I found activity that gave me the happiest memories and unexpected connection with other WoT fans. This online game helped me so much as I found people I could call friends. Well, some of them betrayed me later but still the pain cannot overwrite the joy of so many evenings having great fun. For some reason I was ridiculously good at this game. I was not being nicknamed Meta King for nothing. Some of these great memories I keep in this sideblog. The best time for me being WoT fan in the community.
Number 3
WoT-Notes
My dedication as stubborn donkey paid off in another format. It is still ridiculous (and borderline shameful) to say this blog is the only place in the fandom where a fan can read some of Robert Jordan's notes without going through expensive trip to Charleston. And also the ridiculous sight of a link for this blog to stay in one line with the greatest names and sites created by legendary fans in this awesome list of WoT content.
Number 4
Robert Jordan's casting
The most visited post and the most notable connection with the title of WoT-Tidbits is the page where I shared one reveal of Terez from her visit through Robert Jordan's notes about his own picks for actors to play WoT characters. The original post of Terez got lost as Google+ was deleted and by pure accident my shared post became the source and the only evidence on the Internet that such list exists. No one with access to the notes hasn't republished the list. I bet many "fans" would love if this list disappeared and certain one fan did not care to preserve it.
Number 5
The German Shepherd
For those who are frequently on Reddit this won't be a surprise. RJ's casting wasn't the only famous link from my blog. My attempt to gather the whole information of the infamous legend of the German Shepherd got copied very often around. I just got lucky to have that brief conversation with Kathy and she was kind enough to answer.
Number 6
The art, the memes, the content
If it wasn't for this blog I would not have this masterpiece of commission of Mat and Tuon in AMOL. It is still surreal to see an idea of mine living and breathing in this gorgeous comic. Meeppodraws delivered spectacularly and I couldn't express my gratitude.
The constant flow of memes was like healing medicine for me to go through all the controversies with smile. So I decided to keep the medicine in one place here.
I love when the fandom cooks content - I cannot choose what to highlight so it is just huge general thank you for the awesome work that you have gifted the fans.
Number 7
Art expert
And while we are on the topic of art. My devoted methodical stubborn work to search for any piece of WoT art caused a weird consequence in turning me into kinda expert on WoT artwork. I collected so many unnoticed and obscure WoT pieces that genuinely if someone asked for art of second or third tier characters, I could pull it out for almost any one as long as it exists. This blog contains the biggest collection of WoT art ever – at one point I had presented around 90%+ of the latest art pieces. Nothing could escape me. These days the percentages dropped but still this was enough to be one of the most competent people around for help. And help I did after Paul Dose - unknown guy for me who created a card game with WoT concept - who recognized that I might help him and sent me a list of characters to provide him with images for the cards. I couldn’t do everything but still I could help him with most of it. That hunting down the list in my archives was cool memory.
Another anecdote was when someone decided to call me out for not presenting a source for one WoT piece. And their evidence for source was… wait for it… Pinterest. Bloody Pinterest! I had a good laugh. As a matter of fact I have done that search by myself long before that incident and this piece is still one of the few with untraceable history. They tried the wrong guy thinking that I will chicken out not knowing the history of the piece or what is Pinterest.
Number 8
Living up to my URL
When I created my URL WoT-Tidbits 10 years ago it was inspired by the several lucky bast... fans who had the rare chance to get little tidbits here and there from the author at different events and meetings. I read all these reports from fans in the database with “little” jealousy as I could never dream to be in their place. But miracles happen when Brandon Sanderson visited Bulgaria in 2017. This is definitely the highlight of my last 10 years being WoT nerd. Not only I had the chance to see him, to listen to him, to ask him a question but also by the will of the Wheel I witnessed new unknown tidbit about my most beloved book series. And I had the blessing to report it on blog coincidentally named WoT-Tidbits. It was small and uninteresting detail but for me it meant everything. One tidbit was enough to validate the existence of my whole blog.
Number 9
Tad Kendel
I found the proof that Andorans can be dark skinned and I consider it as good shit pointing that Robert Jordan knew exactly what he was doing.
Number 10
Robert Jordan
It is not like I did not appreciate his work before. Just after reading so much slander on his masterpiece by people who call themselves fans, I truly understood his genius - on the surface of so many superficial demands for the books to be “fixed” - I acknowledged how important was his attention to "outdated" details, and how well every of his "wrong" decisions fit in the storytelling. He thought for everything, didn't he? He outsmarted people who complain in their blindness and who demand his masterpiece to bend on their artificial terms. So many so called fans try to speak on his behalf instead of listening to his voice and wisdom, to fix instead of supporting his vision. Many claim The Wheel of Time to be stuck in the regressive 20th century and that modern audience won't get it when in reality Robert Jordan is still so far ahead of the progressive 2024. We do not have to pull WoT behind us, we still has a lot of work to do if we want to catch it ahead of us.
Let the Light keep you safe.

WIP WEDNESDAY
My first WIP post of the year! Thank you @bokatan for including me. No pressure tags - @unrepentantweirdo @electricshoebox @thedrawbacksofbeingmortal @incognito-insomniac @omkdear @some27-url @vault-heck @sirmanmister @leavingautumn13 @happyhappysparkle @perfectlypreservedpie @charliesvarietyhour @valentineenjoyer I hope y'all are well!
So I've been fairly offline lately! I took a deliberate step back from fandom/posting online these past few weeks, for mental health as well as to focus on Long Time Running. It's almost been 11 months since my last fic update, so in anticipation of as-of-yet unnamed Chapter 12, I am working on updates to address clarity first, followed by punctuation, grammar and continuity. One of the ways clarity takes focus is working on custom CSS/HTML that should have been there all along so that my fic style guide is, well, much more clear.
My biggest takeaway about the early chapters is how little of the story needed to be altered; the biggest change has been more context about Jack in Chapter 1. I still believe in the vision. I thought I would cringe at some of the old writing, but that hasn't been the case. It's a really fucking good story! Long Time Running is a work that shows off my excellence as a writer, and it's been a true joy spending time with my characters again.
Wife @edaworks is helping by reading ahead; she gives me notes from a reader perspective, then I do a full reread and edit. So far, we've completed one chapter edit per day. I will be posting an edit to Chapter 3 tomorrow, and hope to release updates daily until it's time to post Chapter 12. If you've never read my fic before (and you want a MacCready longfic that examines neurodivergence; immigration/culture shock, treats RJ as an emotional punching bag, starts with Med-Tek being a failure, addresses Canada in the Fallout universe, has SoSus from two different vaults, the list goes on), now is a great time!

How Tobacco Retailers Incentivise Tobacco Wholesale
Generally, retailers selling tobacco products are required to file a monthly TT-8 report (for tobacco and cigars) or a quarterly TTB report (for roll-your-own tobacco). More information and forms can be found on the TTB’s website.
Distributor E, with a tobacco products importer’s license, acquires the tobacco product from a foreign supplier. The department presumes the purchase and sale to be at arm’s length.
Discounts
Tumblr media
Providing tobacco and general merchandise for sale in convenience stores, gas stations, truck stops or minimarkets is an important part of business for many manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers. However, these activities are subject to strict tax regulations and reporting requirements. Those that operate at wholesale facilities, purchase or sell at wholesale, or import unstamped buy tobacco wholesale products must obtain a wholesale dealer and jobber license.
Several localities have banned promotions like coupon redemption and multipack sales that reduce the price of cigarettes. Research shows that eliminating discounts nationwide could result in a significant reduction in cigarette use and help curb the tobacco industry’s attempts to circumvent the $10-per-pack tax increase.
Generally, manufacturer coupons presented to the retailer at the time of retail sale or mailed to the consumer are permitted under Massachusetts’ tobacco excise laws. Coupons that reduce the retail sales price of cigarettes below the presumptive minimum cost are prohibited under state law. These coupons are often used to promote cigarette buy-downs.
Promotions
Tobacco manufacturers pay retail stores and other licensed wholesale dealers to promote their products in a variety of ways. This includes offering coupons and discounts on their products. These promotions are designed to increase brand awareness, attract new customers, and boost sales. Many retailers use these promotional tools to increase their profits.
Tobacco industry pricing strategies have significant equity implications, allowing price sensitive consumers, including lower-income smokers, to practise price minimising behaviours that undercut the impact of excise tax increases. Policies that combine substantial specific excise tax increases paired with minimum prices and bans on coupons and discounting can help address these inequities.
NRS Pay provides a seamless data reporting service that helps retailers take advantage of buy tobacco online  sales programs. We can handle the entire process, from submitting scan data to applying discounts for eligible products. We offer easy plans with low monthly fees, based on plan and whether you bundle NRS Pay with your processing services.
Buydowns
Unlike volume discounts, buydowns offer retailers the opportunity to reduce the price of existing inventory for a limited time. During this period, the retailer must advertise the reduced prices and use special displays and signage supplied by the buy tobacco online Australia manufacturer. Retailers also charge customers the sales tax on these reduced prices and remit this amount of gross receipts to the state.
Retailers who participate in RJ Reynolds’ buydown programme are required to purchase RJR products from wholesalers that qualify for the programme. Retailers who do not participate in the programme are harmed by RJR’s exclusion of them from the system, they argue, because they must purchase RJR products from multiple wholesalers or suffer lower profit margins. The retailers we interviewed reported that cigarettes are highly price sensitive and that many consumers are willing to pay higher prices for brands they prefer. They noted that cigarette prices are advertised prominently in their stores, and that signs on product shelving and register/counter space indicate participation in a tobacco company incentive programme.
Contracts
The tobacco industry handsomely incentivises retailers around the world through contracts that fly under the radar of policymakers and consumers. These contracts allow manufacturers to control product placement, pricing and promotion in the retail setting. In addition, they undermine tobacco control efforts by encouraging retailers to promote buy cigarettes online  and providing generous incentives such as discounts, buydowns and promotional material. A new study from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health examines these contracts and finds that they contribute to a retail environment that is conducive to tobacco use and initiation.
The authors used a systematic review methodology to identify studies that examined tobacco manufacturer-retailer contracts and their impact on the retail environment. Their criteria included peer-reviewed publications, quantitative or qualitative data on tobacco products and retail marketing, and a focus on the four ‘P’s of marketing (placement, price, product and promotion). The authors also analyzed contract excerpts and developed a conceptual model. Future research is needed to assess existing global policies in relation to contract prevalence and identify effective policy responses.

This ping is huge honor for me.
Unfortunately, I haven't found any new information shared in RJ's notes or in "Origins" about these letters. This question is still mystery and up to speculations.
What I see online is that people are mostly speculating about Seanchan being the west target. But I do not see how Macura can be agent for them. Yes, later she was in their service but after the fact that she got painful punishment and Macura could easily start hating Aes Sedai as consequence. I can see how she would be eager to reveal the forkroot information for revenge as soon as she realizes what Seanchan are doing to channelers.
I have missed that connection with Moghedien and her information so it may turn to be good one.
I am sorry I could not help.
I'm on Fires of Heaven on my reread right now, and reading the first encounter with forkroot and Ronde Macura, I started wondering if we were supposed to figure out who the other two messages were sent to.
Macura sends a message to her contact at the Tower, and a copy to someone else in another direction, and then the pigeon keeper sends a third message in yet another direction. I guess one of these was Moghedien, somehow, because a bit later she has knowledge of Nynaeve & Elayne's presence in the village, but did we ever find out (in universe or from RJ's notes) who the last message went to?
(ping @wot-tidbits because you sometimes know random stuff that I've missed)
