Abe Takaya Headcanons

Abe!! My beloved, my love, my absolute favorite anime boy of all time ever!! <3 <3

OK so, Abe is pretty indifferent to tickling overall; he was sort of roped into doing it frequently with his teammates and went with it because it got results during games.

He's typically a ler, though he doesn't have a preference either way - again, indifferent. His focus and analytical skills are so good that he doesn't need to be on the receiving end much, but he's often on the giving end, especially when it comes to Mihashi.

Keeping with his personality, when he does tickle someone it's quick and to the point; he rarely spends time tickling somebody just for the heck of it, though this kind of changed as their first season went on and he realized how fun it could be.

He doesn't really tease much, either. He will a little bit depending on if he's in the mood, but even then it's nothing over the top.

All in all, Abe takes even something as playful as tickling seriously. XD

On the rare occasion that he is a lee, he's surprisingly ticklish and teasing works really well on him as long as it's not super babyish. He typically protests and tries to fight back unless it's Mihashi doing the tickling; he's so determined to get the guy to open up to him that he'll take it for a little bit, but when he's had enough he makes it very clear.

Every once in a great while he'll actually provoke Mihashi into tickling him just for the heck of it, but it's only happened a couple of times at most.

His hips and the waistline just above it are his most ticklish spots, and unfortunately for him they become a target every time he's tickled because it gets such a big reaction out of someone who's usually uber-focused and serious.

Abe's laughter is bright and boisterous, and Mihashi especially really likes hearing it since it's so different for him. <3

I love Mihashi immensely I could just talk about him endlessly but I can't articulate it well lol. His awkwardness and commication issues are so relatable in a way that I rarely see in any other characters, even ones that are often headcanoned autistic. Also,I want to point out, his catcher, Abe, has also definitely autistic vibes, like his volume is always LOUD, all his emotions come off as anger and he's incredibly analytic. He's also even more obsessed with baseball than Mihashi, like he thinks about it nonstop.

Oofuri just makes me feel so soft and warm and comfortable inside it gives me hope and happiness

Uhhhhh abe def figures out math problems by using baseball like. Oh I have to calculate a curve? Like the arc of a ball. And that's why he's good at it

I literally don't think it's been mentioned thus far in my reading ,, so I guess I hc that nishihiro is actually considered as fast/having good stamina from track. I feel like it should be mentioned and it's not! Lol

And ofc I believe abe and haruna both go into pro baseball and end up with an ongoing feud. We know this

Do you have any personal AbeHina headcanons?

OMG YES i was so excited to answer this ask,, i have so many but i tried to keep this short cause it would’ve ended up becoming like an entire fic just in bullet points,,,,,.,feel free to send me more asks about them!!

• first off: mihashi calls abe “taka” that’s just what it is

• when they’re cuddling or just laying down together it’s always with abe on his back and mihashi’s head on his chest, right over his heart—he likes the reassurance that abe is right there and that he isn’t going anywhere

• abe confessed first, and though he would rather die than admit it he had to ask for advice before he did it

• it was from shugou

• as a thank you, abe pointedly ignored and restrained himself from mentioning the pining look on the pitcher’s face whenever mihoshi’s tall first baseman is mentioned

• mihashi likes to wear abe’s sweatshirts and jackets because he finds abe’s scent and the fact that the clothes are larger on him comforting

• it’s frequently abe’s baseball jacket, and izumi and tajima tease abe about it every chance they get, which always results in abe screaming at them and sakaeguchi having to give hanai some advil

• after the first time they kissed mihashi let out this breathless and happy little chirping sound and abe almost fucking died

• coach momo honestly finds the couples on the team so cute (i ship sakaeguchi and suyama hard af ok) but she always laughs whenever she sees any kind of PDA from abe and mihashi cause she always thinks back to how they first met and how different they were with each other

• abe calls mihashi baby and/or sweetheart i don’t make the rules

Abe and Miyuki Parallels

Though I have a problem with the last one because I can’t find a mangacap of Miyuki actually saying it.

I’ve read and watched Battery and these lines weren’t there. So Kudos to Daiya staff (i guess) for lifting off some ideas from Oofuri or somewhere else. Idk man im just basing on the fact that terajim read oofuri and battery im so tired..
