Just a mere symbol?

There have been SO many posts about how Sauron represents certain things for Galadriel. Her desire for power and the darkness within her, mainly. However, in my opinion, I feel that honestly takes away the agency of Sauron as a living, breathing being. Like, yes, he is all of those things, but can't she just be a normal hot-blooded female who, upon first meeting Halbrand, was all "hooo, boy. That man is too handsome for his own good"? Or that she liked his personality and spending time with him before finding out the truth...?

IDK, it's just a trend I've been noticing in fandoms with FMCs. It kind of doesn't sit well with me. The MMCs shouldn't just be ignored in favor of women all the time. I'm all for female-driven stories, but in a show that revolves around several characters' origin story and their journeys we shouldn't just drop certain ones to "symbolic" or "physical representation" of their feelings or whatever.

Oshamir's first hug is on a supply run that goes very badly. They run into several Jedi and end up in a fight with them. Qimir is leading the fight, but he gets injured. So when he's in danger, Osha makes the split second decision to kill the Jedi after him. It's the first time she kills someone and it isn't personal. But it is personal because she did it for him. Qimir (still injured) is looking at her like she hung every star in the sky because that's his acolyte. <3 Osha stares back at him. Shocked at what she did. And at how powerful she is. She didn't know she can do that. But also there's an acceptance. THEN SHE MOVES TOWARD HIM! THROWS HERSELF INTO HIS ARMS! HE STUMBLES BACK (BECAUSE HE'S INJURED). BUT HE CATCHES HER OBVIOUSLY. HE LOOKS A LITTLE STIFF/HESISTANT. THEN HE RELAXES. THEY HUG A LONG TIME.

I feel like so many problems people have with tv at the moment could be solved if we just went back to the good ole days of 20 episodes a season that’s just sixty percent filler and character development. Give the people what they want- less condensed story and more meaningless shenanigans

The man is staring at her with dark eyes. His hair is dark and long enough for pieces to fall around his face in an intentional way. He's still holding her arm. Her face is warm now because she's noticed that, and he's standing close. His lips are parted.

“Hi,” he says.

“Hello…” Osha manages to get out.

For some reason, he starts to smile. Bites his bottom lip to stop it.
