Playing so much Destiny has got me some fun headcanons for the world so I wanted to share one of my favorites here~

Mornings with D2 Characters

I will take requests for those I miss, but here’s the most popular ones for this blog.

Drifter

Mornings? More like late afternoons

He sleeps in really late because of gambit, and it’s pretty much hopeless to get up before him because he’s got a death grip around your waist

Has perfected the art of the perfect omelette/pancake/waffle/French toast

Really if it’s a breakfast food, he can make it and he’s eager to show off his cooking skills

After breakfast the day resumed as normal. No routine for self-care or upkeep.

Osiris & Saint-14

Osiris is forced to get up at “reasonable” times by saint-14

But since saint is usually up and out of the house to run trails before reasonable times, it’s left to you to make sure Osiris stays asleep

It’s not a hard job: little solar, and he’s melting back to dream land

Osiris has a whole self-care routine, so you make breakfast before the two of you start your day

If saint is home, nothing gets done and the three of you are in bed all day (assuming there’s no further assignments)

Saladin

Gets up at the ass crack of Dawn, but he lets you sleep

Mostly because it takes forever to feed the wolves and he doesn’t need to show you them all whiny for breakfast

Tidies his beard, has a shower, goes on a patrol, then makes breakfast. Only after does he wake you up, usually with breakfast in bed

He’ll crash down next to you and the two of you will discuss the day’s plan before getting to work

Zavala

He knows the value of routine

Everyday is the same: get up, shower, make breakfast, leave for work

There are absolutely no days he can be coaxed into an extra hour of sleep

But he’s always polite enough to make & eat breakfast with you, and if you’re up early enough he’ll shower with you

Shaxx

Same as Saladin - he’s up at the ass crack of Dawn

It’s mostly due to his workout routine

He has an obnoxiously large breakfast so usually he cooks and then wakes you up (unless you workout with him)

Cruicible waits for no man, so he had no time to spare

Spider

He can be as lazy as he’d like, and uses it to his advantage. Meeting he doesn’t want to go to? Oh, you just wanted more cuddles.

Breakfast is usually brought to the two of you in his throne room, so the only thing keeping you from sleeping in the whole day is hunger

He is the worlds worst person to wake up with as he’ll exhaust all his energy into drawing out cuddles and trying to coax you back to bed

Misraaks

There is always someone who needs him so early mornings are frequent

He tries to linger in bed, but inevitably he has to get up and tend to house of light

House of light is low on resources so most of the time it’s you bringing him back breakfast

Variks

He ain’t got nothing better to do than to lounge about all day, and he does just that

If he needs an excuse he uses the fact his “bones” are aching, which is guaranteed to work on nearly anyone

He’ll unintentionally fall asleep on you, prompting you to go back to bed or get up and make something to eat

Per his hair and he’s in heaven - and who can deny a purring eliksni some extra cuddles?

Honestly i could do with hearing about this once a week from Bungie employees like this one, just "here's your weekly reminder that Osiris and Saint-14 are and always were in a canon romantic relationship." Not about the naysayers (most who wont ever listen anyway), just... for the rest of us ;w;

No shipper tires of seeing clear and distinct confirmation from the team in charge of the characters <3

Okay since this keeps coming up. SIGH. Here we go.

Savathun Didn't Posses Osiris

it wasn't posession. It was shapeshifting. Bungie explicitly states this both in interviews and in the lore. They have said it over and over and over again and yet here we still are. People believing that Savathun was in Osiris' body possessing him.

Here is the evidence.

Osiris was lost. Lightless. I saved him from Xivu Arath, and assumed his shape... so I could guide your victory against her.

Embodied

I clench the gangling black mass that threatens to unspool recklessly from within this shell of flesh. My new arms are too thin, too weak. My new shell still bound with thick mucus. Not yet, I say.

Ripe

She wore his face and spoke with his voice, but they were not his words.

Exorcism - Saint

She transposed herself with another subject marked with a matching hive rune. Osiris.

Exorcism - Petra

Savathûn, the Sister of Shapes, the Witch Queen herself, revealed to Guardians that she had traded places with Osiris months prior, and had been sowing discontent in the Vanguard ever since, creating rampant speculation and spawning wild theories among Destiny lore hounds throughout the community along the way.

For example, at one point, flustered and weary from months of shapeshifting, Savathûn stammers through a contradiction during a conversation with Mithrax, claiming the Black Armory has things under control. Sharp dialogue enhanced by a great performance from Osiris voice actor Oded Fehr really brings Savathûn’s momentary struggle to life.

@thefirstknife has made plenty of posts about this very thing and while one may argue that it's semantics the distinction is important because of this:

People argue Osiris could have done something. If he was possessed, like everyone believes (no thanks to certain "lore experts") then yeah, sure he might've been able to. But with the knowledge that he was not possessed, that he was being held captive Elsewhere and unable to act at all (referenced in Wolftone Draw) then that means it was quite literally out of his hands.

Osiris is a victim, stop victim blaming him.

Zavala, o14 saladin(or shaxx) finding out that literally everyone is cruel to their s/o? Like from minor things to outright violence for NO REASON everyone seems to be mean to their s/o despite the fact that s/o hasn’t done shit to them to cause this

Zavala

He’s not mad, but he’s extremely disappointed.

Makes work place safety meetings mandatory

Keeps a sharper eye on you and will stand behind you if he spots anyone acting strangely/making you uncomfortable

Gets his ghost to record the moments and calls the perpetrators into his office for “meetings”

Will restrict them from absolutely everything, even word gets to drifter who does the same (since he’s a man who hates violence enough to kill people before they inflict it on him)

O14

Saints disappointment is something no one wants to face

But Osiris’ wrath is worse.

Saint will ban the more violent people from trails until they can learn to behave

Osiris waits patiently until he sees it happen, then he gets your ghost to record it

The footage is then displayed to Zavala, who has a general no tolerance policy to this sort of thing

It ends up getting the guardians restricted from a lot of things

Saladin

No one’s picking on you, they’re too scared of Saladin.

If they do, he has a wolf follow you around.

Then no one picks on you for sure.

Shaxx

Punches whoever he sees doing it

Makes those he can’t punch have a living hell in the cruicible

This man solves problems… in his own way.

He’s massive, and will do the same as Zavala: stand behind you ominously

Reunion - wanted to draw one thing for O14 week. Bungie, can you please let Osiris come back ?
