Been playing Destiny 2, and I've discovered a few reasons why it might be my favorite FPS currently:

•Swords that make the camera go third person and feel like an absolute power trip to use.

•Summonable, at will space motorcycles.

•Armor cosmetics being separate from stats(in most cases.)

•Theres a ten foot tall nonbinary cyborg.

•Theres an Egyptian space wizard whos gay for a Russian robot.

•You can do the Jojo torture dance.

One Destiny 2 headcanon I’ve always had is that the Vanguard has now had to set up a very specific set of rules for all Guardians that are 90% caused by shit the Young Wolf has done.

They include but are not limited to:

1. Do not Strand grapple to ships as they leave the hangar. This is directed to one person and one person only. You know exactly who you are.

2. Don’t give random kinderguardians Gjallarhorns. We do not need to build a third Tower

3. Stop telling New Lights ‘kys’ means ‘keep yourself safe’. Crow is still running from Osiris

4. Do not use multiple fire extinguishers as a replacement engine on Sparrows, especially while INSIDE the Tower.

5. Do not use fire extinguishers as ‘jetpacks’ either

6. All fire extinguishers are now off limits to The Young Wolf. Please report any missing ones to the Vanguard

7. Do not create a ‘pigeon army’, lead them to the Tower, throw a bag of bird seed on the ground and then leave. Seriously I have never seen this many pigeons in one place before. Wolf where did you get this many pigeons

8. If you set off fireworks in the Tower, don’t let them fall over please

how someone feels about osiris really is an (unfortunate) litmus test for whether or not they're someone whose opinions can be trusted. Like, hey, you! Can you be normal about a gay Egyptian Jewish man? Especially if he's not polite? Especially when he's neurodivergent, and shows strong traits of that neurodivergence? What does it say about you that you preferred him when Savathun was masquerading as him and being nice to you while she undermined the City, but not when he was being rude and blunt and fighting for the good of humanity?

Because if you don't like him just because he's an ass, that's fine, but if you hate him yet are chill with Mara* being a dick then you miiight want to think about why that might be the case.

(*to be clear I also fucking love Mara, but she's more of a test of 'can you handle morally grey characters' than a test of good faith since she is, canonically, a straight-up bitch. A bitch with good intentions, and I love her, but also a bitch. Osiris, however, presents more of a nuanced situation because of racial biases towards Middle Eastern men)
