Season 4 Ep 10 - Deep Hearts Core
Jamie plays some fucked up rape reenactment scenario with Brianna to help her clear some guilt hurdle. This is shaping up to be the second attempt at forming a rape survivors support group
Roger is on the Mohawk’s chain gang. Gets another smack in the face

Finally, Doctor Claire brings her abortion knowledge to the table
😡😡😡 why do they never let fictional characters get abortions! Clearly it is the thing to do here. It’s so frustrating. They must always present abortion as an acceptable choice but the heroine will never ever choose it. She always chooses to keep said baby for noble reasons. And Brianna’s reason is so stupid. There is a 5% the baby belongs to your terrible fiancée that no one understands your affection for and a 95% chance the baby belongs to your rapist. The child’s existence will be there to remind you of the most terrible man you ever met. Like please take those terrible nightmares involving the Roger/rapist mish mash that you are having to heart, and imagine that in living breathing form during your waking hours. I can’t imagine that Claire would want her child to give birth on the frontier. It is so dangerous.
Tumblr media
This plan to save Roger is so stupid. They will all abandon the homestead for 5 months. Animals, crops. Everything will be dead! Why can’t Murtagh stay with the girls on the farm? Ian could stay with them. He is not very useful in a caper anyways.
This plan is so stupid. Didn’t they already agree that Brianna should go back to the future while she is still pregnant because the stones could do god knows what with a baby. But now they acknowledge that she will give birth before they return with Roger, so they will all just need to chill in the 1770s with baby knowing that the deadly conflagration is on the horizon? I really wanted them all to just shrug their shoulders and tell Brianna that Roger is probably dead and we are ever so sorry. We have the ability to make our own little feminist utopia out here in the woods, so we will all accept your bastard child. It will be no big deal that you are unwed and we can all just feed nice goats and make whiskey by the stream. If any one gets super nosy we will just tell them you are married to baby Ian. This is a much better solution.

Ian makes a pitifully noble marriage proposal
Roger makes a break for it
Murtagh arrives at River Run with Brianna. I am bracing myself for the next bout of slavery hysteria. So far we have been spared. I suspect that Brianna is a fan of living in comfort, regardless of who provides it
Roger finds North America’s stone henge, which from the sound in the woods I thought would be a large bee hive. Now it’s turn for Roger’s Sophie’s choice

“He used to joke that she would leave us someday and go live alone in the woods. I guess she kind of did. Only she’s not alone.”
“You must think it’s my fault she left ye. After all that happened to ye, coming here to find her...”
“No, I’m glad she did. And I came here to find you, too.”
Outlander's Jamie and Brianna Share a Moment in Sneak Peek 3
It's safe to say there's definitely some family stuff to work out amongst the Frasers.
In this week's episode of Outlander, there is clearly a little bit of tension between Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and her dad who she only recently met, Jamie (Sam Heughan), even if the tension's really only on his end. In the above clip, exclusive to E! News, he apparently blames himself for Brianna needing to go 200 years into the past to chase after her mother, and then for the traumatic sexual assault Brianna suffered when she got there.
Even as she talks about her father Frank, Brianna makes it clear she didn't just go through all that to be reunited with her mother. But of course she doesn't yet know what Jamie did to Roger (Richard Rankin) last week...
This week's episode, "The Deep Heart's Core," allows Brianna the chance to bond more with her parents and continue to recover from her assault, but not all is well obviously. Claire and Jamie are keeping secrets from each other, and when Brianna learns about Jamie's secret—that he beat Roger nearly to death, thinking that was her rapist—let's just say she is not happy about it and it may take a while to forgive, and to get over some of the things that are said.

He stepped closer to the cliff and saw it; an opening near the base of the cliff, a split in the rock, perhaps a cave. A chill ran over him that had nothing to do with the cold night wind. His fingers closed tightly over the small round hardness of the gems. He heard nothing; was it open? If so…
Escape. It would be that. Escape to when, though? And how? The words of Geilie’s spell chanted in his mind. Garnets rest in love about my neck; I will be faithful.
Faithful. To try that avenue of escape was to abandon Brianna. And hasn’t she abandoned you?
“No, I’m damned if she has!” he whispered to himself. There was some reason for what she’d done, he knew it.
She’s found her parents; she’ll be safe enough. “And for this reason, a woman shall leave her parents, and cleave to her husband.” Safety wasn’t what mattered; love was. If he’d cared for safety, he wouldn’t have crossed that desperate void to begin with.

Hiiii! Do you have recommendations for tied to a tree whump? Thankyu <3
Ooooh that is a GOOD question!! My immediate thought was when we get introduced to the wonderful Killian Jones in Once Upon a Time 2x05. In fact, @killian-whump has a whole tag for that episode I recommend checking out: https://killian-whump.tumblr.com/tagged/gifs%3A%202x05
