Development and procurement of modern airborne ISR systems, such as targeting and surveillance systems and communication systems, for various applications is driving the demand for the airborne ISR market globally. In February 2019, US border security agencies started using targeting and surveillance systems upon aerostats on the US-Mexico border which are particularly good at detecting low-flying aircraft, such as the ones drug smugglers use, because their radar isn’t blocked by hilly terrain the way ground-based radar can be. Newer, smaller versions can fly closer to the ground and carry radar that can better identify people.
Based on end user, defense segment is anticipated to register the highest growth from 2021 to 2026
In the defense end user segment, airborne ISR systems have used the department of defense intelligence agencies and other government applications. Airborne ISR systems function as a data grid that collects critical information from various sensors, such as radar, sonar, and electro-optic, which are installed on various airborne platforms. In May 2021, the US Department of Defense awarded a combined USD 950 million multiple award contracts with a firm-fixed-price task order to a total of 22 different companies which include key players like L3 Harris Communications Integrated Systems, Leidos, MAG Aero, Meta Special Aerospace, Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Textron Corp., etc. Contractors will provide various Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers engineering assessments, procurement of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) sensors and related equipment, integration of ISR sensors into non-standard aircraft, and contractor logistics support for non-standard aircraft with ISR sensors.

UAS can also include an autonomously controlled UAV or, more likely, a semi-autonomous UAV. Unmanned systems offer surveillance solutions by integrating TCAS, Terrain Awareness, Transponders, Distance Measuring Equipment and ADS-B into a single simplified unit that provides unmeasured tactical performance and safety. In August 2020, AeroVironment, Inc. announced it received a firm-fixed-price contract award valued at USD 45 million for RQ-11B Raven small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and initial spares packages. These will be used by soldiers to conduct battlefield reconnaissance and provide their units with a greater level of security.
North America is projected to lead the airborne ISR market from 2021 to 2026
Significant investments in R&D activities for the development of advanced ISR solutions by key players and increased demand for precision and accurate ISR systems are some of the factors expected to fuel the growth of the airborne ISR market in this region. The US is expected to drive the growth of the North American airborne ISR market during the forecast period, owing to easy access to various innovative technologies and significant investments being made by manufacturers in the country for the development of improved military ISR and geospatial monitoring systems. Several developments have taken place in the field of airborne ISR in the region. For instance, in January 2020, Telephonics Corporation (US) successfully developed and tested its MOSAIC Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) surveillance radar system with the US Navy’s MH-60S helicopter. The MOSAIC AESA surveillance radar is capable of performing continuous scheduled Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) imaging tasks while simultaneously conducting surveillance, detection, and tracking operations.

STOP PRESS: WHO UNICEF Information note on Follow Up Formulas
WHO INFORMATION NOTE PDF
WHO WEBSITE
In time for the Codex trade talks in Berlin this week, WHO has released this important new briefing – please read and share widely
Clarification on the classification of follow-up formulas for children 6-36 months as breastmilk substitutes
The International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes1 was adopted by the World Health Assembly to protect and promote breastfeeding by ensuring the appropriate marketing and distribution of breast-milk substitutes. The Code did not specify an age range for products that should be considered breast-milk substitutes, but it did indicate that infant formula was only one type of breast-milk substitute. In 2016, the WHO published guidance2 to clarify that breast-milk substitutes “should be understood to include any milks (or products that could be used to replace milk, such as fortified soy milk), in either liquid or powdered form, that are specifically marketed for feeding infants and young children up to the age of 3 years (including follow-up formula and growing-up milks).” This Information Note describes the rationale for this interpretation.
Breastfeeding for at least two years improves child survival and the health of mothers and babies The aim of the International Code is to protect breastfeeding from the influences of inappropriate marketing of breast-milk substitutes. WHO and UNICEF recommend breastfeeding be continued for up to two years or beyond3. There are a number of reasons breastfeeding in the second year of life is important:
Reduced mortality. Continued breastfeeding in the second year of life protects against mortality. In a 2015 meta-analysis4, Sankar et al. identified six studies that examined the mortality effect of breastfeeding vs. not breastfeeding at 12-23 months of age (Figure 1). The pooled relative risk was 1.97 (1.45-2.67) times higher mortality in the non-breastfed children (total n=17,761). This means that children who are not breastfed at 12-23 months of age are about twice as likely to die as those who are breastfed in the second year of life.
Improved nutrition. Breastmilk makes important and unique contributions to the dietary intake of young children in the second year of life. In low- and middle- income countries, the average breastmilk intake at 12-23 months has been estimated to be 550 g/day, contributing approximately 35-40% of the young child’s energy needs.5 Breastmilk is a key source of essential fatty acids. It provides 70% of vitamin A requirements, 40% of calcium and 37% of riboflavin at 15-18 months of age.6 During illness, breastmilk intake is maintained even when appetite for other foods decreases.7,8 Clinical studies have confirmed that continued feeding during infections reduces the duration of illness and improves nutritional status.9,10
Protection against childhood overweight. The protection of breastfeeding against childhood overweight is strongest for those breastfed for more than one year. In a large study among low-income children in the United States, those breastfed for at least 12 months were 28% less likely to be overweight at four years of age than those never breastfed (AOR 0.72, CI: 0.65-0.80).11 In a meta-analysis of 17 studies conducted in seven countries,12 Harder et al. found that each additional month of breastfeeding reduced the risk of childhood obesity by 4%. Improved maternal health. Mothers who breastfeed benefit from longer durations of breastfeeding. Continued breastfeeding delays the return to fertility, contributing to longer birth intervals in the absence of contraceptive use. Breastfeeding for more than 12 months reduces breast cancer by 26%, based on a meta-analysis of 50 published studies (Figure 2).13 In the same paper, the reduction in ovarian cancer for breastfeeding longer than 12 months was 37%, based on 29 studies. Each additional year of lifetime duration of breastfeeding was associated with a 9% protection against type 2 diabetes (RR 0.91, 95% CI: 0.86–0.96).14
Breastfeeding is frequently continued for at least two years in low- and middle-income countries
Breastfeeding through the second year of life is common practice in many countries. A majority of children (>50%) continue breastfeeding for at least two years in 41 out of the 130 countries with data in the UNICEF IYCF database.15 It is important to protect continued breastfeeding from the competitive marketing pressure of milk products targeted at this age range.
Research shows that artificial milk feedings replace the intake of breast milk rather than add to it Distinguishing between a breastmilk substitute and a complementary food hinges on whether the food directly reduces breastmilk consumption or adds to it. Complementary foods are consumed in addition to breastmilk when breastmilk becomes insufficient to meet nutritional requirements. Breast-milk substitutes, on the other hand, replace the intake of breastmilk in young children. In 2013, WHO published a statement on the use and marketing of follow-up formula,16 stating “where follow-up formula is otherwise represented in a manner which results in such product being perceived or used as a partial or total replacement for breast milk, such product also falls within the scope of the Code.” The 2016 Guidance is consistent with this statement, but goes further to clarify that, in actual practice, follow-up formula is used as a partial or total replacement for breast milk. When follow- up formula is introduced, breastfeeding mothers either reduce the number of breastmilk feedings a day or stop breastfeeding altogether17. Thus, milks targeted specifically to young children less than 3 years of age replace the intake of breastmilk and are de facto substituting for breastmilk.
Classification of milks as breast-milk substitutes depends on their function, not their composition Whether a food is a breast-milk substitute is not dependent on whether that food is suitable as a breast-milk substitute. The International Code of Marketing of Breast- milk Substitutes was explicit on this point in defining breastmilk substitutes (Article 3): “Breast-milk substitute means any food being marketed or otherwise presented as a partial or total replacement for breast milk, whether or not suitable for that purpose.”1 As a result, the different compositional requirements of follow up formulas for children 6-36 months from that of infant formula would not prevent them from being considered breastmilk substitutes.
Global recommendations on breastfeeding apply equally to infants and young children The PAHO/WHO Guiding Principles on Complementary Feeding of the Breastfed Child apply to all children under 24 months of age18. WHO/UNICEF recommendations make no distinctions on breastfeeding before or after 12 months of age. Furthermore, the Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes does not have a separate provision for children older than 12 months of age. Therefore, milk products intended for children 12-36 months of age would naturally be classified in the same way as infant formula or follow-up formula for infants 6-12 months of age, intended for younger children.
In summary, the International Code aims to safeguard breastfeeding by ending inappropriate marketing and distribution of breast-milk substitutes. Because continued breastfeeding to two years and beyond saves lives and promotes the health of both the mother and baby, it is important that this protection include follow-up formula. Follow-up formula has been shown to replace the intake of breast milk and therefore acts as a breast-milk substitute. Classification of follow-up formulas for children 6-36 months as breastmilk substitutes is fully consistent with the Code and other WHO policies and recommendations.

Aircraft Filters Market Summary, Key Buying Criteria, Revenue Growth Prospects & PESTEL Analysis
The global Airborne ISR Market size is estimated to be valued at USD 9.9 billion in 2021. It is projected to reach USD 12.8 billion by 2026, recording a CAGR of 5.1% in terms of value. The market is driven by factors such as the rising demand for phased array radars for better operational efficiency during air surveillance, border surveillance, and commercial applications.
Tumblr media
The airborne ISR market is growing at a significant rate across the world, and a similar trend is expected to be observed during the forecast period. The rising demand of UAVs for airborne ISR applications, increasing procurement of Airborne ISR systems due to growing transnational and regional instability, increasing use airborne ISR based geological surveying for scientific research purposes, rapid advancement in artificial intelligence, big data analytics and robotics technologies are fueling the growth of the airborne ISR market.
Download PDF Brochure: https://www.marketsandmarkets.com/pdfdownloadNew.asp?id=262860641
The Airborne ISR market is being driven by the increased adoption of advanced combat warfare systems to gain an advantage over enemy forces and the increasing defense expenditure of various countries. Industry players are undertaking R&D activities that focus on improving the capability of these radar to perform in all-weather conditions and provide support in commercial as well as defense operations, such as long-range surveillance, search & rescue, drug interdiction, counterterrorism, and maritime environmental support, among others. Along with this, an increase in the usage of UAV systems and the need for ground surveillance and communication act as key driving factors for the Airborne ISR market.
Based on platform, unmanned systems segment is anticipated to register the highest growth from 2021 to 2026
Unmanned systems include Remotely Piloted Air Systems (RPAS) in which the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) is controlled by a pilot using a radio data link from a remote location.

Xylo-oligosaccharides Market Industry Analysis And Forecast 2018 - 2026
Xylo-oligosaccharide (XOS) is a low degree sugar polymer considered as potential non-digestible sugar and known for its characteristic dietary fibers. Xylo-oligosaccharides were in use since ancient time but it were not popular compared to other carbohydrates such as sugar and edible polymer. Xylo-oligosaccharides are naturally found in fruits, vegetables, bamboo shoots, milk, honey and others. Utility of xylo-oligosaccharides are not only limited for its neutraceuticals properties but it is also widely used in food and beverages industry and as a source of animal feed.
Download PDF Brochure @ https://www.coherentmarketinsights.com/insight/request-pdf/2150
Xylo-oligosaccharides have economic benefits as it can be produced from agricultural waste. The waste generated from agro industries mainly consists of plant biomass that can be converted into non-digestible sugars. XOS have great potential as a prebiotic, which helps in reduction of LDL cholesterol, maintaining intestinal pH value, and improves immunological systems.
Market Dynamics
Xylo-oligosaccharide has wide applications in neutraceuticals & pharmaceuticals and food & beverages industry. In food & beverages industry, XOS is used as an additive in soy milk, soft drinks, jams, honey, tea, cocoa drinks, and dairy products (such as milk and yoghurt) to formulate healthy food. XOS has prebiotic potential and its exceptional health benefits include enhancing absorption of calcium, reduces risk of colon cancer, improvement in bowel function, and act as an antioxidant. These health benefits will drive growth of the global xylo-oligosaccharides market.
Popularity and increasing consumption of prebiotics is projected to boost demand for xylo-oligosaccharide in the forecast period. According to U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, the consumption of prebiotics and probiotics by adults in the U.S. has increased by four times during 2012 – 2007.
However, production of xylo-oligosaccharides requires large amount of investment and costly & specialized equipment. Moreover, production of xylo-oligosaccharides generates unwanted products such as furfural and hydroxymethyl furfural in the mixture of XOS which can cause skin allergy, such disadvantages may restraint growth of the xylo-oligosaccharides market.
Market Outlook
Among applications, neutraceuticals & pharmaceuticals segment accounted for the highest market share in the global xylo-oligosaccharides market in 2017. This is due to various advantages of XOS such as water binding capacity, sweetening ability, and fat replacement value. Moreover, xylo-oligosaccharides have a host of health benefits such as it act as an anti-allergic, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory. Such advantages will attract more pharmaceuticals & neutraceuticals companies to adopt xylo-oligosaccharides as a non-digestible sugar in their products.
North America held the highest market share in the global xylo-oligosaccharides market in 2017 and is projected to remain the dominant region during the forecast period. This is due to rising health awareness among consumers. According to U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, 3.9 million adult population consumed prebiotic or probiotic products in 2016.
Asia Pacific is projected to be the fastest growing region in the market over the forecast period, owing to increasing number of pharmaceutical industries and rising incidence of diabetes in the region. For instance, according to Indian Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), pharmaceutical industry is the third-largest industry in India in terms of volume and accounted for around 20% of the global pharmaceutical industries in 2017. Asia is home to most diabetic patients in the world. In 2017, according to International Diabetes Federation, diabetic population of India and China accounted for 8.8% and 10.9% of the total adult’s diabetic population of the respective countries.
Key Players in Global Xylo-oligosaccharides market
Key players operating in the global xylo-oligosaccharides market include Fengyuan Zhongke, Hebi Taixin, Hengfeng Sugar, Huaian Baimai Keyu, Kanwei Biologic, Longlive, Suntory,Suzhou Xiankuo, and Yatai.
Manufacturers are innovating and launching new types of xylo-oligosaccharide products in order to meet rising demand from consumers. For instance, in March 2018, Wonder Drink Company launched Prebiotic Kombucha, an innovated drink that adds prebiotic in its existing product.

How Event Tracking can improve your Micro and Macro Conversions
What is event tracking and how you can use it to improve micro conversions and macro conversions
According to the definition given by Google: 'Events are user interactions with content that can be tracked independently from a web page or a screen load. Downloads, mobile ad clicks, gadgets, Flash elements, AJAX embedded elements and video plays are all examples of actions you might want to track as Events’. In plain English, for those of us who aren't coders, we can give this example:
When we have a video in our site and once a user clicks the button for the video to play, an event will be triggered. At the same time, when this event is triggered you can see the result of this action on Google Analytics
Events are then grouped in this report in the 'Behaviour' section of Google Analytics.
If you're a follower of Google's Avinash Kaushik you will know that it's important to measure both micro and macro-conversions. Micro-conversions are all about building relationships with your visitors through on site interactions leading to macro-conversions which are commercial outcomes such as subscriptions or sales.
In order to have micro-conversions (or macro-conversions) you need to identify what kind of type of event tracking codes you want to implement on your website. For the use of event tracking codes that will be able to track your micro(or macro) conversions you will need to set the right goals on Google Analytics.
Of course, event tracking code is not just limited to YouTube videos, but also events can be triggered for:
PDF downloads
contact forms
Videos
Social follows/share/like/tweets
Blog comments
Gadget downloads
RSS subscriptions
Newsletter sign ups
Contact forms
Product rating (especially useful for e-commerce sites)
Live chat
Outbound links
Scroll reach/Content Bottom/Page Bottom/Start Reading/Article load
Clicking on a link
404 pages
Internal banners
Rank tracking
Form completion progress/drop out
Light box conversions
Affiliate ad clicks
Tracking form errors
Tracking engagement with embedded maps
Tracking video engagement and activity
Organic rank tracking with custom events
Tracking conversion rate optimisation variations
Tracking interactions with custom widgets.
Each of these events can be tracked as a goal in Google Analytics as Dave Chaffey explains in this post giving 17 options for Event goals.
What’s the importance for SEO and Google Analytics?
What is the importance of event tracking for us?
Initially, the obvious positive effect of event tracking is to see how users behave and interact within our website for some functions and results that we perceive as crucial within our website, for example lead generation through our contact forms and the sign ups that we have for our site.
Additionally one of the 4 Goals that are available on Google Analytics, are the Events. So we can fill out the respective fields (Category, Action, Label and Value) with our events. Also, we can identify an economic (goal) value for non e-commerce conversions (e.g. sign-ups through the contact form from our site), by indicating the value of each click according to how much we value the worth of each click.
Another important and positive impact of event tracking can be based on which elements of our website are functional and which are not. In this way we are able to have a more clear view on which of our elements actually work in terms of conversion optimisation.
If we see that we have a really low number of sign-ups though the form of our website, it’s an opportunity to amend the button (e.g. colour, call-to-action etc.) via A/B testing or Content Experiments.
Segmentation of tracking code
Initially, make sure that you have implemented the tracking snippet to track your website (UA-12345-6) which is a unique number for each website.
If we want to dissect an event tracking code: Sample: onClick=" _trackEvent(category, action, opt_label, opt_value, opt_noninteraction)
The onclick event is used to define when an event fires up once the user clicks the mouse button and completes the action (by clicking it).
The _gaq.push is comprised by two parts:  _gaq allows us to queue up tracking, so that _gaq.push() shall not fail.
Category (required): The Category reflects the name in which these objects belong to and you want to track (e.g Contact Us).
Action (required): It is the type of user interaction that actually fires up/triggers the event (e.g Button).
Label (optional): It is used when we have multiple events to track and we want to distinguish one from another (e.g. Try Tool One, Try Tool Two, Try Tool Three etc.)
Value (Optional): It’s an integer which indicates the numerical value of our event. For example, if we believe that each sign-up for our form worths £50, we can assign this numerical value. If we are not sure about the worth of each event then we can set an arbitrary value.
opt_noninteraction (optional): It’s important to bear in mind the correlation of bounce rate and event tracking of the latter to bounce rate. Thus, when it (event tracking) is set to true this means that the event will not be used to affect the site’s bounce rate.
Types and Examples of tracking codes
Without any further ado, let’s review some sample codes which are going to be useful for our site.
In other words, script divides the website into 10 parts (each part corresponds to 10%). Each event is triggered whenever the user goes beyond 10% (first event), 20% (second event) and so forth.
The full version of the script can be found at Dave Taylor’s blog post.
Content Bottom/Page Bottom/Start Reading/Article load
Thanks to Justin Cutroni (you can refer to his post in order to get the full code for these actions), we can use the respective code in order to monitor events that are triggered for example when users start reading a post or when the article loads.
In more detail:
Hats off to Justin Cutroni again, the Google Analytics Evangelist for the provision of this code!
Important tip: For those of you who do not find the use of JavaScript in this way appealing, there’s the alternative of auto-event tracking with Google Tag Manager which actually offers the same results as event tracking but with less code.
I hope my post has opened your eyes to more ways you can use event tracking to make your website more effective! The capabilities of what you can track are limitless…
