The bar clamored with life around you. Veracruz had taken you out for a night of drinking with his men to celebrate their return from another successful deployment. “I thought I recognized your voice!” she exclaimed as she opened her arms for an embrace.

“Rosalia,” Veracruz muttered as he tensed his jaw and gave her a kiss on each cheek, “It has been a long time, chiquita.”

“That is has,” she purred as he looked him up and down, “The years have been good to you.”

You cleared your throat to insert yourself in the conversation, “Comandante, who is this?” you tried your best to keep your tone level. 

“Oh,” his eyes went wide as he glanced between the two of you, caught in a rare moment off guard. He introduced you by name first, “This is Rosalia. My…”

“We were together,” she extended her hand to you, “It’s a pleasure,” she addressed you before turning back to Veracruz, “A comandante now, is it?” he smirked, “When we were together he was just a captain,” he hung on his shoulders as she spoke.

“Pleasure,” you replied back, hoping your tone wasn’t as sour as you heard it in your head. Swallowing the bitter taste in your mouth, you tightened your lips together and straightened your back, “I’m going to get another drink. You want your usual, V?”

He nodded, noticing the slight change in your demeanor but chose not to comment on it.

“V?!” Rosalia giggled as you turned and walked away.

You clenched your fist and resisted the urge to turn around. You didn’t want to watch her hang on him any longer, and you certainly didn’t want to hear whatever remark she had for your special nickname for him. Instead, you kept your eyes in front of you as they landed on the bartender. Ordering two of the usuals, you leaned forward on the bartop to force yourself not to look at the beautiful woman who seemed way too interested in the comandante for your liking.

But her laughter rang through the bar and you couldn’t help but snap your neck up and you instantly felt rage boil under your skin at the sight you saw. decided to go cowboy themed for the @swiftiscruff friendship exchange apparently (forgive me bc i suck at moodboards)

it’s coming up on around a year when i started getting into fic writing and then finding my way back to tumblr, and sometimes i still can’t believe just how much fun we are all having together over one goofy guy and all his characters! i never would have thought watching an adaptation of my favorite video game last year would have brought me here to so many wonderful people with kind hearts and insane talent!

i have a hard time initiating contact especially in fandom where people sometimes seem to already be doing their thing and you feel like you’ve just arrived, BUT you guys! you all have made me feel so welcome - to everyone who ever reached out to me first bc i was too shy, commented, messaged, ANYTHING i just love and appreciate you so much. not to mention the sense of humor in this community is just…. so. good.

idk if it’s corny to out myself like this but this is such a huge part of my life. i think about my fics so often, i smile at my phone at work when i see a new comment or dm that just brightens my whole day, i look forward to my interactions with you all. and it’s just been such a blast sharing this space with everyone.

i wish i had time to make something for every friend and fic i've loved but life is life-ing and so busy rn - just know i love all of y'all.

I know, I know. I’m late! I don’t know why I thought it was 15th but here we are, and I hope I can be forgiven.

The 23rd of April, my first Pedro Pascal fanfiction will turn one year old. Can you believe that? I certainly cannot. Time has passed by and made days feel like seconds, and suddenly I find myself in a position where I can reflect on the last year.

There’s been ups and downs in my creativity and my moods, but I have had such an amazing time making friends that I cannot fathom being without now. The idea that we as humans have the ability to bond over the simplest of things is what makes me romanticise humanity over and over again. I can’t believe that my writing makes another person smile and vice versa.

I have endless gratitude for the people I have met here. Some are still on tumblr and some are not. It doesn’t make a difference. I love you for sticking around 💖❤️
