A moodboard for all my lovely friends on here I’ve met! For writers on here I look up to, for anyone who’s commented or reached out to me on here, for new friendships I’ve made in my short 5 months on Tumblr, to being in the same space as some of the most talented writers 💕 And it’s all because of this beautiful man that even made me want to start writing fanfics! Crazy how one man can bring so many people together online 🥹 I remember taking a creative writing class in high school and absolutely loved it, then I started writing here and there, but didn’t really jump in till I started writing my first fanfic back in August. Needless to say, it’s unlocked a huge passion of mine and I’m so happy I can share a piece of my daydreams with a community who can get as hyped as me. I can’t thank you enough for all the talent and fanfics you guys bring, it’s unlike anything else! One day I will pick up another book on my bookshelf, but for now I’ll keep reading all the amazing fanfics that you guys keep bringing to the table 🩷

Not gonna lie, I’ve had a lot of anxiety and have found it scary to reach out to anyone on here because it seemed like everyone had their own friend groups and felt like I was intruding. But I’ve felt nothing but welcome into this community and I can’t wait to get to know more of you and continue to blossom those friendships 💕 And if anyone lives close to Oklahoma or Texas, please reach out ☺️

i'm someone whose unusual love language is "fixing" people, and not in the sense of changing them, "i can fix him" kind of way. it's in the sense of, like, if there's something on your shirt or if there's something wrong with what you're wearing, i'm fixing it for you. i'm always fixing my friends' hair, eyebrows, makeup, twisting necklaces back in place and all, without being asked to.

whenever i see these gifs of joe behind the scenes, i keep picturing doing all of this to eddie. being his friend, having a pathetic crush on him and finding an excuse to touch him all the time. you fix his hair when he hasn't brushed it the morning, fix his pick necklace when it's torn on his neck, brush an ink stain off his face with your thumb. reverent, devotion pouring out of your fingertips.

what you don't see is the way he blushes when you do it. the way he expects it, seeks it out even. he longs for it, those fleeting moments where your attention is his, undivided. when you get close to him, close enough that he can feel your breath on his skin, just to remove a fallen eyelash from his cheekbone. you're still close when you ask him to blow it away and make a wish.

he wishes to have you close like this forever.

most of all, you don't see his face, the lovelorn look in his eyes he doesn't even try to hide. while your attention is his, he is yours completely.

Tumblr fans and A03 fans seem to be one in the same, so I'm going to post this here. Feel free to scroll past because this may seem a little bit (extremely) sappy. Please Please PLEASE do not underestimate the weight a comment on a fic can have. I got my first ever comment on a fic I wrote today. Yesterday, I had cried myself to sleep, thinking that nothing I had done was ever worth it for this intense and scary world. I had felt so burned out from just everything in my life, and I was logging on quite literally so that I could orphan that very same fic because I felt embarrassed and that it wasn't "good enough". That little comment, that probably took >2 minutes for that person to write, made my entire day. Maybe my entire week. Perhaps my entire month. Suddenly I feel confident again, suddenly I feel like the things I say and do can at least hold some importance to SOMEONE. It feels kind of embarrassing to say, and much more embarrassing to post, but that little comment may have genuinely just saved my life.

I imagine that in the same vein that if some comment can improve somebody's life, some comment can make it worse, so keep that in mind if you intend to write something hateful. Now, I'm not saying to never critique, but your genuinely intended rude comment could be the final straw for someone.

So I will reiterate in hopes that it sticks. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not underestimate the weight a comment holds. Tell someone why you loved their work. Tell them the little details you noticed that made you smile. Because maybe you smiling could be just what they need to start smiling again, too.

My mood thinking about arriving in Vancouver tomorrow for Skate Canada! The last time I attended Skate Canada was 2019 and I was lucky to see Hanyu blow the roof off the rink. It was a very special competition for me: my dad had passed away 6 weeks earlier, and I almost didn't go. I didn't think I could handle three days in public without breaking down. My husband convinced me to go anyway: "You'll regret passing up the chance to see Hanyu skate. We're going." The rink has always been a restorative place for me, first as a skater and now as a spectator. At the risk of sounding corny, it was healing to be in that building surrounded by so many people having their Best Day Ever watching Hanyu skate. I've never experienced anything like it at a competition. A half hour lineup to get into the practice session (unheard of, it's usually just 50 of us die hards in the stands). Pooh Rain™. The insanely well-organized Japanese fans handing out lovingly assembled swag as gifts for anyone who wanted one. The banners and the energy. It was so beautiful and joyful! That event was a reminder for me that it's worth buying the ticket and making the trip. Sometimes your heroes deliver.

i love how music can bring people together. i was in the grocery store checking my things out and american pie started playing through the speakers. as the lady is scanning my things she starts humming along to it and i make the bold move of saying “i also really like this song.” she looks at me and says something like “really? i didn’t think people as young as you knew this song.” not in a rude snobby way, she seemed happy that i recognized it. i told her i love songs from that time, my parents exposed me to that music. i had to catch myself from staying longer than necessary, she’s still working after all. i left the store with a skip in my step. i love music
