Seeing a lot of posts in the tag from people who don't seem to recognize that while it's true that Robby handled the David situation badly especially in his conversation with McKay, that's literally the point and is consistent with him several times in the episode not handling interactions in the way he should/would normally because he can barely keep it together right now (not saying it's okay obviously but hardly cause for a serious judgment on his moral character)

You know the trope of ‘oh no they’re dying, but maybe a bonding bite will save them!’
Steve and Robin wouldn’t even hesitate. Even if it’s something you can’t undo. Even if it’s something they’ll never get to have with someone else. Even if it risks both of them dying. Shit, even if it synched up heat/ruts and gave them unwanted horny for each other every time that meant they were miserable.
Wouldn’t blink. Wouldn’t regret it. Soon as they realized this is the Hail Mary to save their soulmate.

As children, twin brothers Jinn and Tchigri would always run away from home to embark on their so called 'expeditions' to ancient Turali ruins. Now in their adult years, they travel together as experienced archeologists, seeking to continue their mission over at distant shores. Years spent on the field using pickaxes and sledgehammers have served to help them develop new and refined techniques with their chosen tools, setting them apart from traditional miners who primarily hunt for ore. Whether it be ancient artifacts or hidden fossils, any remnants of the past are unearthed with utmost care and precision. It is not profit that drives the twins. Indeed, they merely possess an insatiable curiousity for all which came before them. To them, there's just something so very special about those who walked before not being all that different to those who now walk after. Every ruin tells them that same story; that people have always laughed, wept and bonded over the same things, then as they do now. Jinn and Tchigri hopes to compile all their findings into literature one day. Not for the sake of established scholars, but rather to introduce everyday people to the wonder of history and archeology, and thereby encouraging them to be curious about the world around them... and the stories that lie in wait, if you just know what to look for.
First attempt at writing for the so called 'background characters' (ie characters that aren't necessarily created to be fully fledged or detailed, but rather are just made for fun for me to play around with different designs and lore ideas without feeling like I have to commit wholly). I actually made their designs and gave them their names back in 2021 (and even drew them), but I just couldn't decide what their homeland should be and so they've kinda circled around aimlessly in my brain ever since then. Only now did it finally click when I realized how fitting Tural would be! Really helped them 'make sense' for me, which meant screenshot time!

love when minimum wage jobs have weirdly strict uniform rules. love completely ignoring them. "Oh you can't have dyed hair and piercings it's unprofessional" okay then start paying me a professional wage and then I'll give a shit. and also I literally deliver pizza there's no professionalism here

The way Secondo always looks anxious before going on stage and his ghouls at one point said that he was never at ease performing. And how his voice sometimes cracks when he's talking to the crowd.
... In conclusion I headcanon that his voice cracks when he's nervous

What's the endgame in your hc given how you feel about SilMil? Would one or all of the senshi end up convincing Usagi not to build the next one? Or would she decide not to on her own?
Or would it be spoilers to say at this point?
I don’t have an ending fleshed out, I’m sorry to disappoint. I def know what I WOULDN’T do for an ending, but not really on what I’ll write. It’s one of those things I think will come to me more and more as I flesh out the story.
In my main timeline I definitely would NOT have CT be endgame, it doesn’t fit. It’s too much, too many extra factors, extra questions, extra concepts (especially given how there is not time travel in my AU) and it also destroys the concept of the cycle.
I’ll say that I have not thought much about the ending, but the main 2 that have crossed my mind the most are: (spoilers? For my AU)
Everyone dies. Yep, all the girls go fight Galaxia and her senshi and they all die. They win, but at a cost. This ending is mostly kept up by 2 factors: it would be WAY too depressing to kill half the cast unless I write it super well and also I cannot NOT kill anyone. It’s fucking Galaxia. A villain that has been genociding the entire Galaxy, the final boss, the one pulling strings all along and I just have all the girls be fine after the fight ..? Nah, stakes what is that>! Also no reviving BS, I’ve stated it before, no fake out deaths that kill the stakes. Sm is SUCH a victim of this trope omfg. I can only care so much after the 12th time the senshi get killed just to get revived 3 seconds later.
Everyone dies, BUT Usagi fulfills her final mortal wish and wishes a reset on the universe as they know it. In doing so, she gives up her whole existence and becomes the entity known as Cosmos, destined to wonder the Universe, slowly loosing emotions, memories, humanity… In this reset reality all the girls and other character are born as regular people, some of them end up meeting and being friends in different ways, but they all end up being present at that moment. Some of them never meet, some are very different, some.. not so much. They all meet at crown as adults as a sort of reunion meeting, a faint specter looking on longingly. Cosmos says goodbye to all her friends as she knows she’ll outlive them and eventually forget them as she becomes one with the cosmos, sharing an intimate, yet one sided (?) moment with each of them. No more senshis, the cycle is broken, yet the ultimate price was paid. Usagi has never existed.
These are both kinda sloppy, but I’m really early into the writing stages of the AU, so throw me some bones.
The important thing to me is not having a “happy ending”, as that would p much defeat the whole motif and purpose of the story Im writing. I don’t want a tragedy either! But I more so strive the Sweet sweet spot of bittersweet!

like... okay, i just wanna say that while it is always important to handle sensitive topics with tact, i think it's okay for a character not to be traumatized by x thing, even if you personally would be. like every individual is different from each other and affected by different things on different levels, and i think it's important to acknowledge that when dealing with trauma also

so earlier this year I got it in my head that i wanted to pick a few new anime each season to try to watch (and beforehand I'd read the original work it was based on, if applicable)
for Spring I looked through the upcoming list, pulled out a couple interesting titles, read the first couple chapters of a few manga and eliminated them from my list, and ended up with 2:
Lazarus (original series, from the makers of Cowboy Bebop)
Your Forma (originally a light novel. I dropped this after five episodes or so because it feels like its not hitting what I enjoyed about the original books, but I did enjoy the original books so I plan to keep reading them)
For Summer I've been looking at the upcoming lists and doing the same, and so far I've come up with 4:
Gachiakuta (Animated by Bones, this is giving me classic Shounen Jump hero vibes. I've read the first few chapters and I think I might try just watching it without reading more. Hero gets exiled to the pit where everyone dumps their trash, discovers he has the ability to animate discarded objects. It seems to be tackling sustainability issues with a fantasy/action hero angle and obligatory animism, and I'm very about that vibe.)
The Summer Hikaru Died (I started reading this on my lunch break and I read the first two volumes just today. Definitely reading the whole thing, and I hope the show holds up to the manga quality. A tragic horror romance, 'came back wrong' story where the thing that came back isn't the boy who disappeared in the first place. Canonically queer, grappling with the grief of a loved one's death while some Thing is pretending to be them every day.)
Nyaight of the Living Cat (I actually haven't read this one yet. Another horror, but kind of a horror parody. A pandemic is spreading, turning everyone who touches a cat into a cat. Honestly don't know what else I even need to know of course I'm going to try watching this)
Captivated. By You (This one really surprised me, and I do have manga caps in the works! Literally just a high school slice of life anthology, but the writing is so down to earth and earnest, and the art style is so unique and good! Honestly the thing I'm least looking forward to is seeing this redone in generic anime artwork, tbh, but I'll watch it nonetheless. They're doing a half-season along with another work by the same author which I've got to hunt down now, Let's Go Karaoke)
