Hobie in E-5154B (Pim's universe) is a famous rockstar from UK that Pim listen to a couple of times, like some of his songs but didn't really take any interest in the artist until he met Spider-Man Hobie

After that he literally goes CRAZY about his universe's version of Hobie (in secret) He likes to compare how similar they are and eventually become one of the fans

People theorized Paco's one year hiatus as him being a rock human in hibernation or taking Barbara Ann's suggestion that he was in jail for theft, or he was simply on a different year-long adventure involving a crime spree.

My theory? Paco was gone for a year because he was actually hiding from his abusive father.

(trigger warning as I discuss child abuse and abuse regarding food)

My headcanon is that Paco dealt with abuse from his father for his entire childhood. He's tried to escape and find help but he was failed too many times by the adults in his life. Him getting his ear bitten off ended up being a turning point, because it was around the time he met Meryl Mei. We know she's a beloved principal and, as a school employee, is a mandated reporter. Whether Meryl Mei genuinely wanted to help Paco out or see him as a potential underling that can be manipulated is up to interpretation, but she used her resources to finally get Paco's dad arrested and imprisoned.

I don't see Paco's dad as someone who would willingly plead guilty and go off quietly. I don't think he'd hesitate to drag the trial for as long as possible, encourage his lawyers to intimidate and invalidate Paco's experiences in court, and possibly hire people to attack Paco outside of court. Even with Meryl Mei's resources to protect Paco and provide what he needs to fight against his father, the whole process for a child like Paco is mentally and emotionally exhausting. Hearings and meetings with social workers or legal counsel involve occuring when he should be in school, being forced to relive your abuse on trial and be cross examined for it sometimes back to back, going into hiding for fear of retaliation because even the police and witness protection may not be enough, and the fact that everyone eventually catches on that your dad is on trial because of you means school is put on the back burner. Paco tried to keep up with his studies at first, but he ultimately halted them as the trial takes a toll on his overall well-being.

To add, the stress of it all could explain how he was formerly chubby and then leaner so rapidly. We don't know exactly why he started out chubby before being very shredded, although there is a correlation between those who experienced childhood trauma and those who develop unhealthy eating habits that lead to obesity. It's possible Paco used food as a coping mechanism growing up or intentionally fattened himself as part of his survival. Food could have also been used against him by his father as well, either by forcing Paco to gain weight or withholding food as punishment. In terms of the latter, it could explain how Paco developed his kleptomaniac tendencies and his chubbiness could be due to him constantly stealing what he can to get his next meal and eating anything he can in fear of not knowing where his next meal will be.

Long story short, Paco's dad is now in prison for crimes of child abuse among other things and it will be a while before any chance of him getting out will happen. By now, Paco is a legal adult and therefore no longer forced to be under any guardianship but he no longer has to look over his shoulder like before. Although he had to be held back, he can return to school safely to finish his education under Meryl Mei and he prefers to keep his experience under wraps for the time being. Out of gratitude and feeling indebt to her, Paco became a loyal lackey and ended up working with Jodio and Dragona shortly after. I personally think he lost some weight due to stress caused by the situation, and continued to lose weight afterwards because he finally could relax and get better access to food among other things. Paco took the opportunity to start focusing on his wellbeing now that he's no longer on survival mode, being able to maintain a healthier diet and lose weight more sustainably, and it further motivated him to get the ripped muscles he has now.

Unfortunately, with how things timed out, his ear couldn't be reattached. Whether Paco is saving up for his ear to be improved or sees it as a symbol of his survival is up to you.

He's really giving me Hol Horse vibes with a bit of Polnareff (partially on the fact that his clothes and body build reminds me of Pol). He's chaotic, comedic, but also kinda mysterious? Maybe he really is Hol/Pol's equivalent??? And as expected, his Stand is simple yet really cool. I like integrated, non-physical Stands like that.

And his emblem is a cone of ice cream. What more can I ask?

i got to thinking this morning (← he has just woken up) and uhm. when blitz says how the team would fall apart without him. i mean. hes kinda right? like as an observation.

uhh some story spoilers n whatever under the cut bc this is just one massive autism ramble cause i want this out of my brain <3

blitz is very correct on that front. the only decker the team had WAS monika. and im sure if sny other decker in berlin found what tf they were hunting down would dip immediately. but also- if your not playing a decker in dragonfall- then yes. blitz is very important to how the team kinda functions because of his decking.

like in the final boss of the feuerschwinge? if your not a decker you kinda need to bring blitz bc of the matrix point in that room that'll unlock the vents and get rid of the virus. and if you want to kill/free the apex really- any run that includes smth about jacking thats really helpful to the smoothness of the run if your not playing as a decker or someone with a decking skill you have to bring blitz along on some of them.

hes not WRONG for saying the team would fall apart without him. thats the thing. because of the feuerschwinge fight and the apex. it probably wouldn't exactly fall apart but his assistance in these very important story points is nothing short of extremely helpful. i can get why people dont like him however i just cant exactly understand why when hes just as flawed as the rest of the characters in dragonfall.

Uses a 5 in 1 shower gel, if and when he showers, and you cannot tell me he doesn’t blast lynx africa and/or paco rabanne 1 million so he smells woody and spicy.

However, if you have fancy smelly products of you’re own, he will use them. Gonna treat himself with a good scrub and some large helpings of your shampoo and conditioner (this one’s got multiple products for their hair, posho!)

Doesn’t matter if you use products intended for a specific skin/hair type, it’s getting used.

As a nice bonus he likes doing it cause it means your smell lingers on him when you’re not together.

Won’t admit it but he also really likes it if you burn candles and/or incense.

If you’re close enough in size, he will steal your clothes. Especially socks cause he is always wearing holes into his own.

Gets all gooey and excited when you wear his clothes, especially if you’re small enough that they look oversized, and are visibly his.

If you’re inclined to wear flowy summer dresses, he’ll go feral. Also, a big fan of linen shirts/blouses and short shorts.

When he’s dressed causal he lives in shorts and filp-flops, even in the midst of winter. Or if he’s not leaving the house he’ll just wear his boxer shorts.

Is gone for long periods of time (prison, hiding out etc) so is very clingy when you’re back together, and doesn’t really have boundaries.

Will walk in on you in the bath shower to use the toilet, or to just sit and talk to you. If you ask him nicely, he will wash your hair. Might not do a good job, but he will do it. Has his arms wrapped around your waist at all times while you’re trying to do chores or are out shopping. If he wakes before you (a rare occurrence) he will just lay on his side, watching you sleep. Might get impatient and attempt to subtly wake you by gently brushing your side or nose, or gently shaking your body.

Normally sleeps way into the day, and snores, loudly. Often wakes with a hangover. And will practically beg you to make him a bacon an egg.  

Loves almost any and all brekkie food, bacon, egg, hash browns, pancakes, you name it.

Is not a cuddly sleeper. Like he can fall asleep cuddling, but he will start rolling around, splaying his arms out, kicking his legs. Huge bed hog.

Says his favourite films are action, gangster, or like bro style comedies. Think like: Road House, Indian Jones, Kill Bill, The Gentleman, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Hang Over.

If you put on a horror, drama, or rom com, he will not watch it with you.

But he will find things to do in the general vicinity. Or straight up do the dad thing of like standing in the middle of the room with his arms crossed. If he’s not sat with you, he’s technically not watching it.

So like, which one is actually her dad? They don’t tell you but the writ- No no no, don’t tell me, I’ll figure it out, Don’t go in the basement, there’s never anything good in the basement, oh she’s only bloody gone and went in the basement! But… Barbie doesn’t love Ken. I’m not cryin, I just got allergies, shut up an’ watch your dumb girly film.

Has a stolen tattoo gun,wants to get matching tattoos, has pro for everyone of your cons. Ideally, he just wants names/initials in hearts, but will settle for more symbolic tattoos. Like a boomerang to represent him for you, and something similar for you.

Would still love you if you were a worm. Hasn’t the foggiest what he would do with you. But he would love you.

Gwen

Pim wouldn't consider her the best friend but she's certainly the closest one to him in the group. Since I hc Gwen as trans I think it would be reasonable to make her and Pim bound over that fact

He think of her as a sister but act like a protective mother towards her, checking her from time to time, make sure she's fine and that she takes care of herself and even let her stay over at his place

Gwen sees Pim as a protective brother who over think way too much and worried about everyone but himself tho she really appreciated him

Pavitr

Pim's not quite sure how to feel about him, since he has a very strong personality and very energetic. He couldn't keep up with the boy sometimes but he's trying tho

Pim also act like a mother towards him, despite thinking about him as a brother, mostly bc Pav seems young and naive for a Spider-Man. He's worried that this job might effect the boy as time goes by making Pav realises it's not as easy as he thought

Pav sees Pim as a bit of too uptight person but pretty decent to hang out with even tho he doesn't talk much and also asking Pim for some advice seeing that he has more experience

Miles

The first time he saw Miles he literally went into full panic attack and flashed back in his head lol all he could see was his ex best friend who's one of his canon event

He didn't get much opportunity to interact w/ Miles before the boy got jumped by the whole society, but he knows he has to help that boy. He won't loose another Miles

Hobart Larry Brown

Pim dislike him at first, despise his gut ever since their first interaction and keep his distance as much as he could even tho Gwen always trying to tell him that Hobie is not as bad as he thought but considering how different they are as a person Pim wasn't convinced

They eventually bonded over the fact that they both don't like Miguel even tho it's from different reasons but they still don't like the same person and Pim unintentionally fall for him (I mean, who wouldn't????) but never say anything

Hobie sees Pim as a person who's way too serious and way too worried about everyone else but himself. But somehow he found that very...endearing? Idk but Hobie likes to tease Pim as a daily routine

Peter somehow became some sort of father figure to Pim and always ask Pim to babysit Mayday for him which who is he to complain?? Mayday might be a bit hard to deal with due to her power but she's the cutest girl he'd ever babysit in his entire life

Pim respect her and agreed with Gwen that she's cool as hell but Jess didn't really pay attention or acknowledge him that much, he's fine with it tho since sometime he finds her a bit intimidating

Ben Reilly

Doesn't want to have anything to do with. Avoid at all cost.

Miguel

As I mentioned, Pim doesn't like Miguel. Partly bc he's intimidating, has anger issues and way too buffed. But also bc Miguel act exactly like his father who he always despise

Also I love Peacemaker in this - Mr. Reyes calls him out and he gets respectful. Realizes he's befriending a bunch of kids. Realizes he enjoys being a mentor. Etc.

Also Khaji Da is also just always fantastic to read. I love how much he considered Jaime his friend, how protective he is of him. His little human habits he picks up as he throws into his sentience - like his humor, the "oops," and assuring Jaime they're taking on the Reach together.

I love that Traci tried to help as she can, she's supportive of Jaime, even when she doesn't think it's the best idea. She gives him as much help as he can to try and make sure he won't go in blind.

I love how Mils wasn't immediately over Jaime being the beetle. How his abuela shuts down any because talk of the Blue Beetle immediately in #26. I love that Brenda and Paco are always there for him, that they're integral - I wish we'd have seen more of Nadia and Hector, because they were too.

I love that La Dama is trying for Brenda, she is. But that doesn't mean Brenda just goes home with her immediately. She gets to take it at her pace.

I live that despite everything her fears, Jaime never had to go out alone: he always has his family, and even when he won't scare them with the details, he always has Khaji Da- who we know he trusts fully, and vise versa.

To the people reading this snippets, I’m sorry. I’m not going to finish this. I thought that if I planned everything before writing it I wouldn’t suffer from writing block, but the story has changed a bit while I wrote it and now I don’t know how to JUST KIDDING LETS FINISH THIS WHOOOOOOO!!!

It all happened so fast; one moment María was trying to get her out of here, and the next thing she new was that she was inside the maws of the monster. It hadn’t shallowed her, and it wasn’t chewing, but it was probably because it wanted to go back to it’s lair before ripping her apart.

Mirabel started crying; She should have paid more mind to her prima’s warning about predators. She was going to die here, all alone, on her birthday, and on her gift ceremony day nonetheless.

Suddenly, the monster opened it’s mouth and pushed her out with it’s tongue. Then, it started… fretting over her?

‘Pup okay? Did I not arrive in time? Pup did not bite flat thing, right? That not food. Poisonous. If pup eat, it make pup sick’.

…He (because it sounded like a he)… was worried? For her? Aww!

All previous fear forgotten, Mirabel started rambling with excitement; “Sí, I’m okay. That was just María, she’s my friend. Do you have a name? I should probably name you too now that we’re friends. You look like Paco would suit you! Wow, you’re so big! What did you eat to grow up so much? Can I have some? That way Isa won’t be able to keep calling me shorty. Where are w-“”Pup hungry?”. As if on cue, her stomach rumbled. Well, excuse her! They were supposed to have dinner during the party, but things hadn’t gone as expected

Paco turned around, roared, and swam away. Not even a minute had passed when he returned, opened his mouth, and a lot of the same big eyed arrows that were in Mirabel’s door swam out. He began swiping at them, killing at least 10. For a second Mirabel was scared again, until she smelled it. The blood of the arrow things. For some reason, it smelled like food. She grabbed one and took a bite. Her mamá’s food tasted better, but it tasted alright, and again, she was hungry. She ate all of them. She didn’t know how though. They were quite big, and she had never eaten this much, but she still didn’t feel full. She wasn’t hungry anymore though, so it was fine. Maybe she could get Paco to teach her how to catch them, and she could bring some to her family- HER FAMILY! How long had she been outside?! They must be so worried!!!

She turned around, she couldn’t recognize this place; there were some corals, a lot of rocks, and some rusty metal pieces… Wait, metal? That’s when she saw them; The ruins! But…she didn’t know what side this was. The underwater house could be in any direction!

She turned to Paco; “Paco, you are super cool, and thanks for the food, but my family must be worried for me. Could you please take me back to were you took me from? I’ll come back and visit you! Promise!”. Paco glanced at her, then somewhere to his left, then back at her; ‘I take pup to family. Then stay to look after pup’. He opened his mouth and swam forward, but she move out of the way; “Can I go on the outside this time? I wanna see the way so I can come back later!”

Paco looked at her, but didn’t say anything. Instead, he lowered his head as if showing her his “horn”. She understood what he probably meant. She grabbed onto it and shouted; “I’m ready!” Paco roared and took off.

(Ok, change of plans 😅. Its 3:21 am and I’m tired, so imma go to sleep. I’ll finish the story later. But don’t worry, I’ll finish it)

Paco transported Mirabel inside his mouth because some fish species do that with their babies.

He called her “Pup” because shark babies are also called pups, and I just wanted it to be like that. Also, I know reapers are supposed to be lonely predators, but I literally COULDN’T CARE LESS. MIRABEL IS EVERY LEVIATHAN’S BABY (also, mama dragon leviathan charged against a building because her eggs were inside. If sea dragons are like that, why wouldn’t reapers be the same? We only have data about sea dragon, sea emperor, and ghost leviathan eggs (unless I’m forgetting something. Wouldn’t be the first time), so I’m going with this).

Mirabel is part leviathan now, so she’s building an appetite that will almost be an opponent to Camilo’s. That’s why she ate so many Peepers (and didn’t find them disgusting). Also, yes, she can smell some things despite being under water, like sharks with blood

At least he protected her, even if she wasn’t tryna eat the Maria <33 Also????? Imagine how to family reacts to seeing Mirabel riding one of the oh so dangerous “predators” 😭😭
