She then took to TikTok herself on Thursday to detail the attack. Explaining she was looking for an apartment, she recounted, "I stopped at this cute little deli-bakery tiny place... I walked in and I was shooting the baked goods and as I turned around... this guy punched me. Hit me is more [accurate], it wasn't like a closed fist, just hit me in the face." "I walked outside and my driver, who is also security, I looked at him and gestured over to this man, this homeless man, to explain to him that I'd just been hit. IDEA JOURNAL #1 - PANDEMIC IMPACT TO ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

Pandemi Covid-19 sudah berlangsung selama satu tahun, di mana hampir seluruh bidang kehidupan terkena dampak baik positif dan negatif. Setelah melakukan proses kreatif dan brainstorming, saya memutuskan untuk memfokuskan pada bidang entertainment industry. Pembahasan akan berfokus pada industri hiburan musik, taman hiburan, acara televisi, club & bar, dan perfilman.

Sebelum pandemi, seluruh kegiatan industri hiburan diadakan secara langsung, berkerumun, dan terkesan lebih menyenangkan. Di mana musik identik dengan konser, taman hiburan dengan wahananya, acara televisi dengan audiens-nya yang banyak, club & bar dengan live music, dan perfilman dengan bioskop yang selalu ramai.

Setelah pandemi, semua berubah 180°, seluruh kegiatan hiburan banyak mengalami reschedule bahkan cancel. Industri musik menjadi salah satu bidang yang mendapat keuntungan di mana muncul format konser baru, jumlah streaming meningkat karena orang cenderung dirumah saja, dan publikasi musik meningkat karena munculnya platform baru. Sedangkan, taman hiburan harus merelakan penurunan kapasitas, acara televisi tanpa audiens, club & bar banyak yang tutup bahkan bankrut, dan perfilman yang mandet pada proses produksinya.

Mengapa entertainment industry bisa terdampak oleh pandemi ini?

Aturan baru yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah, membatasi ruang gerak para pelaku industri hiburan. Tidak lupa, pandemi juga berefek pada bidang ekonomi yang mana menyebabkan finansial segelintir orang menurun akibat PHK dan bertambahnya kebutuhan. Paling penting adalah penyebaran virus sudah berada pada tingkat massif, infeksi bisa mencapai 1000 kasus perhari.

Setidaknya, terdapat empat saran yang dapat diberikan. Pertama, re-opening tentunya dengan memperhatikan aturan 5M dan strategi marketing baru baik melalui sosial media atau dengan menawarkan promo menarik. Kedua, adakan online activities sebagai salah satu sumber pemasukan alternatif baik dengan bentuk webinar maupun konser.  Ketiga, mengatur cash flow baik secara internal dan eksternal, tunda dahulu beberapa agenda. Terakhir, mendukung program pemerintah yaitu vaksinasi.

To prepare, some retailers — both pure-play eCommerce and omnichannel — should plan now. The holiday shopping season, which in recent years has started just after Halloween and run right up to Christmas Eve, represents half or more of annual revenue for many retail businesses. It’s essential for those retailers to start planning now, even as some are in the process of reopening. In this post, I’ll address a few coronavirus-related scenarios and offer suggestions for how merchants can assess the potential Covid-19 impact on their company’s holiday sales. A Speedy Recovery On June 16, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce released its “Advance Monthly Sales for Retail and Food Services” report for May 2020. This report showed a 17.7 percent rise in retail sales for the month compared to April. This boost in sales represented the largest month-over-month increase in U.S. retail sales since 1992. Adding to this is a somewhat positive employment report: the U.S. Labor Department said new unemployment applications fell by 58,000 the week of June 13. Hence, by the time the Christmas shopping season rolls around this year, the pandemic could be a painful memory and retail sales will have stabilized. Read the full article
