It's just a headshot but it's more a reference for the future than anything else

I know when Cala draws him he does not have this fluffy of hair but when his hair was described as wool like in the fic I couldn't help but picture him with really thick fluffy hair

Also I made the tag look like the Quackity poker chips :) that very well might change though

The colors are just the ones I use for my dream design

hopefully my hands will let me do a Wren and then a proper piece as well at some point but executive dysfunction is a bitch so.... Don't know when or if that will happen

It's the 1980s. Young Prince Wilhelm is reading a comic book and notices a page in the back titled Pen Friends. It's a listing of names, ages, addresses, and short descriptions of kids looking for pen pals. One in particular catches his eye: a boy his age in the town of Bjärstad (so close!) who is just as passionate about his favorite superhero as he is. Lonely Wille writes to the boy, Simon, using a P.O. Box that his older brother Erik had set up for his own secretive purposes. (Erik knows that Wille could use a friend, and is willing to send and receive the letters for him.) Wille uses a fake last name and doesn't tell Simon that he's a prince.

A great epistolary friendship soon blossoms. They first write about comics, tv shows, pop music, likes and dislikes; then about their families and school, worries and aspirations (Simon is very candid; Wille sometimes tells careful half-truths to shield his identity). One day Simon mentions thinking a male comic book character is good looking, and that opens up an ongoing conversation about liking boys. Simon is sure that he's gay, and has come out to a select few people in his life; Wille is not at all sure of his identity, but is bold enough to admit feelings to Simon that he's told no one else about, and is only just realizing himself.

Simon sends Wille a photo of himself, a school portrait. Wille keeps saying he'll send one soon. He keeps Simon's letters in a shoebox tucked far under his bed. He keeps his photo under his pillow at night, and always remembers to move it into his desk drawer during the day, so the maid doesn't find it.

They start to write about possibly meeting up, since they aren't too far away from one another. Maybe pizza, an arcade? Simon writes his home phone number in a P.S. in one of his letters, asks Wille to call if he wants to, so they can make a plan. Wille memorizes the number. He goes into Erik's room when he's away, sits in front of the phone (Erik has a private phone line), winds and unwinds the long spiral cord around his fingers, picks up the headset, dials most of the digits. Hangs up when his heart starts beating too fast.

One day Simon writes that he'll be going to a new school with his sister. Hillerska. A posh boarding school, but he'll be commuting from home. It's where Crown Prince Erik went! Simon doesn't want to go. He's worried about not making any friends, about not relating to the rich kids there. He wishes he could be Wille's friend. For real.

Wille writes that he's sorry he hasn't called yet. He wants to, but he's been busy, and his parents and older brother are always using the phone when he's free. He'll try again soon. And he's sure Simon will make a friend at Hillerska.

"Mamma?" Wille knocks on his mother's office door.

"Come in, Wilhelm," Queen Kristina replies.

Wilhelm enters, and sits in the seat across from his mother. She looks up from her papers. "Yes?"

"Mamma, I changed my mind. I do want to go to Hillerska."

Aziraphale and Crowley are hereditary enemies, rival book shop owners engaged in corporate warfare. They are also pen pals that are perfect for one another. They don’t know about that bit though.

*Minor Spoilers* This is a You've Got Mail but Good Omens remake. I've never seen You've Got Mail, and I'm not planning to, but if you told me this was a completely original human AU for Aziraphale and Crowley, I would have absolutely believed it! Tons of fun, lots of adventure, and I'm a sucker for pen pals.

So if you also don't know the plot of the movie, here's the summary for this fic. Crowley is the heir to a massive book retailer, and he is opening a new store right down the road from Aziraphale's cozy and struggling bookshop. They meet and sparks are already igniting, but once Aziraphale learns who Crowley is, it's all-out war, with plenty of misunderstandings and accusations flying. At least at the end of the day, Aziraphale has the comfort of a new email from his dear pen pal Anthony. You get the picture.

I love how this very much feels like its own thing, but still follows a very cinematic storyline. I don't know how close of a remake it is, but I'm assuming it veers off from the movie, at least with its Hastur and Ligur scenes, but possibly others as well. It gets a little action movie in the middle of its rom-com, but I found it pretty fun. Full of clumsy and awkward Crowley, which is always a good time. Their emails are definitely a highlight, I like their more formal tone and how instantly they fall for each other through that medium. I will never tire of their chemistry! Completely safe in public, and I think it's a great low-stakes casual read!

Now thinking about Sakura sending Kankuro penpal letters, and Kankuro waiting dilligently by the mailbox everyday until his letter finally arrives.

Once he has his letter in hand he rushes inside and rips it open, reading it five times before he can even start thinking about what to write back.

It’s the most exciting time of his day’s.

Temari always teases him about the letter’s (mostly because he keeps asking her for help in what to write after a while because he really wants to make a good impression)

Omori penpal AU (Sort of a amature detective au because I'm obsessed with Little Women)

Sunny and Mari actually moves in to Faraway much later in this timeline, maybe one year before Mari's death.

So what if Hero was like this ultra genius, MENSA society etc, he goes to college at like a very young age, maybe 13, and has been there since. He rarely visits home because he's so busy so Mari and Sunny aren't actually so familiar with him.

So the perk of this AU is that, Mari actually writes to Hero, anonymously.

It's kinda like a penpal system but she doesn't really know who she's writing to, like when in anonymous forums?

So she write and Hero replies, anonymously of course (I'm still thinking up what kind of usernames they'd use) and sort of just became online best friends.

One day Mari stopped replying, and Hero was like 'Huh, maybe she didn't want to be friends anymore.. no.. she probably can't afford the mails anymore.'

Even though that wouldn't make a lot of sense, Mari's last letter ended off with something as generic as "Hope you have a nice day! Write back soon!" With no additional detail or some post scripts. But sometimes making up something is better than believing the truth, Hero doesn't want to believe that someone, who actually understands him, doesn't want to be friends anymore.

He was sad for a while sure, but ones gotta move on, especially when you're as busy as Hero.

Until one day, Kel begs for him to come back home, "Please Hero, I miss you..." it was weird of course, not surprising though, he misses his little brother too.

The next day then, funeral invitation.

"In loving memories of a once lovely girl, Mari Suzuki."

So he comes back home to attend the funeral of course, out of respect, Hero didnt know Mari for long, but it was always nice to have pleasant chat with her now and then even when it was mostly an excuse for him to come home and visit his family again.

Mom, dad and Kel were devastated sure, a bright girl from their neighbourhood just died. But Kel is acting a little weird, but Hero doesn't really comments on it, he probably just didn't come home for two long, it's been months after all.

Since it was October and he coincidentally has a school break, he takes a month of holiday. He expects Kel to be overjoyed but Kel is just acting weird overall.

He meets with Mari younger brother Sunny. He doing a lot worst than Kel is, not surprisingly enough.

"She will always be watching after you, don't worry." Hero says to Sunny.

Sunny doesn't say anything obviously. Then he overhears his parents and Sunny's parents talking about Mari.

"-She was such a lovely girl.."

"Your daughter was so hardworking.. she would've been a famous scholar."

"Yes.. she loves to write.."

"She used to write all these letters."

"Hai.. it's such a shame that she-"

"Ai, lo siento lo siento."

Hm, Mari used to write letters, he thought, then he shrugs it off, a lot of people like writing letters.

Then he saw her hand writing.

Hm, it looks a lot like his penpals hand writing.

The gist of this is actually Hero will try to find out if the anonymous friend he was writing to was Mari all along, along the way finding the truth to Mari's death.

PenPal AU Scenario!

So somehow the Nightingales are in the Far Frozen with Danny Phantom. That’s pretty much the majority of it.

Some of the ghost yeti children are as big as Danny, and some are bigger, so it’s pretty funny to see him play and talk with them because the height difference is misleading and makes them think they’re the same age or older. Biologically speaking, though, they’re all close to Alex’s age.

They think that Alex is a newborn at first, and they ask to play. If the answer is yes, they’re definitely as gentle as they can be! The young ghost yetis love to play fight, and they’re very encouraging of Alex to give it his all. Alex loves it, they’re like big, fluffy marshmallows!

Frostbite talks with Evelyn and Gerald, thinking they were Phantom’s parents in life, and they clear up the misunderstanding pretty quickly.

The Nightingales catch jokes from some of the adults about how when Danny was training with his ice powers, he accidentally froze half the stadium in ice. He was a little embarrassed about it and still apologizes sometimes.

Frostbite: You should be proud of him. When we were teaching him how to use his ice powers, he accidentally froze over half the stadium in ice! He’s quite the powerful one.

Regular AU - Right after Carole got moved into Hospice, Ronnie went for a ride around town on her skateboard. And that's when she got in the accident that gave her the scar on her forehead. Tears impairing your vision + night time pretty much guaranteed that she would hit the curb and go flying. She cracked open her skull and had to get staples AND stitches. The scar actually goes pretty much halfway back, but she's figured out a way to lay her hair and cover it up. She managed to walk back home and Mav is the one who drove her to the hospital.

Regency AU - I discussed this in the comments of some post somewhere (and I can't remember with who rn I am so sorry), but Mr. Seresin did try to forget about Miss Veronica with someone else. Bradley finds out about it and uses that information to try and keep them apart. It works. She is absolutely heartbroken, not that he slept around or whatever, but because he wasn't forthcoming about it with her. She stops seeing him for several weeks.

Penpal AU - The two of them have a pretty consistent schedule when it comes to their letters. Basically, they each get a letter every other week. So when she moves after college graduation (and jake has the wrong address, his letters getting lost) and she doesn't get a reply back on time, she tries not to think about it too hard. But then a week turns into a month and she doesn't know what to do. Should she send him another letter? What if this was his way of telling her he wanted to be done with this? It's just a huge sad misunderstanding.
