So we brought green salad to the Thanksgiving family reunion.

My sleep schedule is so screwed.

My usual sleep schedule is I am awake until about 1 or 2 in the morning and get 4 or 5 hours of sleep on week days, then I get ~12 hrs on the weekend.

Then daylight savings hit, and I was like:

"Sweet, I get to sleep in an extra hour, so instead of waking up at 6, it will be like waking up at 7!"

And then I woke up at 4.

This is actually the first chibi that I've done completely myself. (I've technically drawn a few chibis before, but that was with bases, so I don't count it) he is ~3.5 heads tall.

I love him.

Maybe he kind of blends into the background? I don't think it's too bad though. He looks like he belongs there.

I clearly remember a broken wall in the shape of him at some point. I looked on Google and YouTube and stuff, and I couldn't find anything about it.

I also noticed that some lines are hidden by other lines. I think it is because of factors. 3, 4, and 6 are hidden by 12. 5 is hidden by 10, and 4 is hidden by 8.

So really what is shown when I stack them all is 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13.

I guess this is for your Fullmetal Alchemist arrays?

I did something cool with a circle and a radial symmetry tool

I got it by combining different geometric patterns. I made a (x) sided shape, and connected all the points of that shape together. I started with 3, so a triangle, and went to 13 sides.

I'm pretty sure my dog hallucinates. I just saw her looking at the ceiling and snapping at the air silently for a solid 5 minutes. She also randomly barks at things for no discernable reason. My other dogs don't do that.

Are you ever reading on your phone, or something, late at night, you are tired, but still reading, your eyes start to close, and somehow, you are still reading, your eyes are closing, and your brain is making up the words that you are reading because you are half asleep, and can't actually see the words? You know what I mean? I do this, but wake up every few minutes, and get confused when I can't see the words that I just read. At this point, I usually just go to bed.

Finished this essay (about using a nonsense word) and i was too proud of it not to show it. It is hilarious if I do say so myself.

America is weird.

I learned that the first day I came to this country. My name is Jarrokoz, but no one could even say it correctly. They said they could not roll their r’s, which is ridiculous, so first class just decided to call me “Jake”, an American name, instead of Jarrokoz. After the first couple classes, I decided to introduce myself as Jake to begin with, to make it easier. There are also so many unspoken rules and customs that would make no sense where I come from. Why do we have to raise our hand if we know an answer or have a question? It takes too long to be called on, and by then, I have forgotten what I was going to say.

While America is weird, English is somehow weirder.

I knew how to speak some English, enough to get by in a conversation at least, but I never learned how to write it.

English does not follow its own rules. “I before E except after C,” is apparently a rule, but what about ‘weigh’, ‘height’, ‘seize’, and ‘albeit’. What is the point of the letter C? It makes the ‘s’ sound like in ‘sand’, and the ‘k’ sound like in ‘kite’, but does not make its own unique sound. And then there is Q. It requires U to be right behind it, always. It's like a group of idiots wrote this language. Q also just makes a ‘kw’ sound which can also be made by K and W. Why does ‘ph’ exist? It makes the same sound as F. Nothing makes sense.

Do not even get me started on silent letters.

“You’re telling me ‘know’ is not pronounced k-noh? And if it is spelt that way, why does ‘now’ not make the same ‘oh’ sound?” I asked the classmate who became my first and only friend so far this year.

“English is dumb,” she said like it was a logical argument. To be fair, it kind of was.

I smirked, “Yeah I k-noh that noh.”

The worst days are the spelling tests. Because I came in the middle of the year, I did not get the words for this specific test, but because I was new, I also did not ‘k-noh’ to question it.

When the paper for the test was passed out, my thoughts were something along the lines of this: “English is stupid and has an absurd amount of silent letters in some words, usually around and affecting vowels. I just have to make this work.”

When the teacher said the word, I did not realize until later how absurd the amount of letters that I was using was, as it had seemed somewhat natural to me at the time.

I heard the word and wrote my answer, confident that I at least got it partially correct. I knew that ‘gh’ were silent letters a lot like in ‘fight’, so I put that at the beginning for good luck. I then put a P because it seemed like the best option without knowing how else to make the ‘p’ sound. Earlier in the day we learned about different geological structures in a different class, so I used the ‘eau’ from ‘plateau’ to make the next sound. There's not many silent letters that I could use for the ‘t’ sound, so I left it as a plain T. After all, often only the vowels were strangely used with silent letters, and not every sound had large amounts of silent letters either. I could then hear the word (or is it number) eight as part of the test word, so I just put that in there as well. All that was left was another ‘eau’ sound. There we go.

There were more words, and I tried my best each time, but it seemed like the teacher was going too fast, so I stopped using the extreme amount of silent letters.

The test was turned in, and I went about my day. I did not think of it again until the teacher pulled me aside after class. At first I had wondered if I was in trouble, after all, it was not the first time I would have done something ‘wrong’ after having to switch cultures so suddenly, but I was reassured before I could even ask the question. Instead, the teacher asked something else entirely.

“Ghpeauteighteau? Really?”

I didn’t see the problem.

Ok. I have a writing prompt for DC.

For some reason or another, one of the batkids (preferably Tim) is required to have a body guard (by media) and it happens to be young justice/teen titans etc. They don't know that the kid they are guarding is a bat kid. The bat kid knows all the identities. Shenanigans ensue. Especially when the heroes are wondering why their Robin couldn't come.

This could be a romcom, or just crack. But please, if someone writes it, I need to see it, so put the link in comments or something.

The bird and bat names could use a makeover

'Red Robin'? Seriously? I mean, at first I get it, he still wants to be Robin, but can't because it was stolen, but I feel like he eventually gets over it at least somewhat. And it's confusing, you can't call Tim 'Red', because here is Jason being Red Hood, and you can't call him 'Robin', because Damien is Robin. So. He should rename himself to another name. Probably a bird, maybe Cardinal, or Sparrow. Maybe Sunbird, they are red.

Or if we want to forget the red theme, than we can do a smart bird that uses tools, like Raven, but then again that is taken up by another hero. Maybe Crow, or Bluejay or Rook. They are smart.

Maybe Spurwing, they have literal spikes on the wrist of their wings.

Jason got his name, Red Hood, from it being a past alias for the Joker for irony purposes. He could have gotten a cool name like Phoenix. Seriously, he rose from the dead, he is a bird, he dresses in red, he likes FIREarms. Phoenix. It's right there.

And Duke, buddy, why are you Signal, is it like the Bat Signal? The light with a bat on it because you have light powers? Boring. You could have been a bird too. And Oriole is basically his design anyway, yellow, black, and white. Other cool birds are Tanager (many different colors of those) or Goldfinch.

Or you could have referenced light or shadow. There are several birds-of-paradise that have blackhole-like feathers. The one that most closely resembles the design of Signal being the twelve-wired one. And while that is not the best name, there are a few better ones. Superbs have vantablack feathers. Manucodes have iridescent black feathers, which is cool. There are Riflebirds that have superblack feathers too, but I'm not too sure that Bruce I-Hate-Guns Wayne would allow RIFLEbird.

The point is, why didn't the boys continue the bird theme? Like. Why?

But then the girls are bats, and it makes sense, except Stephanie being Spoiler... But she was Robin at one point, and Batgirl at another, so really either works. I think Batgirl fits more tho. If she wanted to be a bird, I think some kind of hummingbird would work with her personality.

Literally all the guys are birds, and girls are bats... Except for Batman... Lol
