Small rant about Phantasy Star II, spoilers obs

During that one scene when Teim dies, I was so confused why her father just explodes himself on the spot. Could he not have at least waited to kill himself until AFTER we revive her from the clone labs? Dying is barely an inconvenience in this game, and there isn't even an excuse for it like with how Aerith mysteriously couldn't be revived using Phoenix Down in ffivii. They can literally make a whole new body for you, revive your soul and/or memories completely from scratch for the same price as a generic healing item. Hell, Nei died like 3 times while I was trying to rescue her in the first place.

However, the end game party ideally would be Rolf, Rudo, Amy, and Anna.

You, won't be using Shir in the long run other than getting the items that lets you save whenever you want.

Hugh is basically only useful early game, because his abilities are best against biological enemies, Josh on the other hand has abilities that are basically only good against mech enemies.

Nei is obviously the best character in the game and I absolutely love her and feel for her being the best friend/ waifu character that loves Rolf.

Wow, there's a lot of video game (and occasionally non-video-game) things called "Mother Brain".

Everyone knows the ones from Metroid and Chrono Trigger, but there's also Phantasy Star 2, Bloodborne apparently, a shmup called Star Soldier, Final Fantasy 2 … Ilithids in D&D have "the Mother Brain" …
