99. Nico/Percy
“This bath is too damn hot.” - “This is why we can’t do cute things. You complain too much.”
Advent Calendar: Day 20
“This bath is too damn hot”, grumbled Nico with a glare.
“This is why we can’t do cute things. You complain too much.”
Nico glare deepened as he settled more into the steaming-hot bathtub. “No. No, the reason we can’t do ‘cute things’ is because your idea of 'cute things’ is yeti hunting in a snow-storm.”
There was a leisure smile on Percy’s lips as he snuggled up against Nico’s chest, sinking into the bathtub. He closed his eyes and sighed very contently. He loved hot baths, especially when he had his boyfriend in the tub with him. Everything was improved by having Nico di Angelo as his pillow, even when Nico was busy complaining about things.
“Come on, it was fun, Nick”, countered Percy, leaning his head against Nico’s shoulder.
“See. That is the problem, Perce”, grumbled Nico and wrapped his arms around Percy’s waist to pull him closer. “You define yeti hunting in a snow-storm as fun…”
“Ni—ick”, drawled Percy out and turned around to properly face Nico.
Nico huffed, the pout melting off his face when he saw how adorable his boyfriend looks. The messy, dark hair clinging to his face, dripping wet. He looked essentially like a drowned cat and it was the cutest look possible. Slowly, Nico leaned in to steal a kiss from his boyfriend.
“What? It was miserably cold. I spent half the time soaking wet thanks to the snow. I lost sight of you trice and every time I found you again, you were maniacally laughing and fighting some kind of monster”, sighed Nico. “I’m too old for this stuff, Perce.”
“You’re two years younger than me”, countered Percy and raised an unimpressed eyebrow.
“Technically I am ninety years old”, countered Nico, giving his best grumpy, old man impression.
“Urgh, you’re so cute when you’re being a dork”, snorted Percy and leaned down to kiss Nico.
“I am being completely serious”, sighed Nico. “I’m twenty, you’re twenty-two, can’t we leave the heroic, dangerous missions during awful weather to the young, enthusiastic newbies?”
Percy smiled, eyes sparkling with mirth, as he curled up on Nico’s chest and closed his eyes. He inhaled the salty sea scent of the bubble bath and listened to the sound of Nico’s heartbeat.
“I’m a camp counselor now. And unlike Mister D, I ain’t gonna sit on my ass all day long. Especially not when it’s something potentially dangerous like that. We’re not gonna let our kids run into danger head-first without being fully trained”, countered Percy softly, drawing symbols on Nico’s chest. “We got no kids of Poseidon, Zeus, Boreas or Khione at the moment. And the weather-situation would have been too dangerous for demigods without weather-controlling powers. Not to mention your shadow-traveling getting us out of the tightest spots.”
“Have I ever told you how hot you are when you talk reasonable strategy?”, whispered Nico.
He kissed Percy’s head, making the son of Poseidon laugh. “Ye—eah. Every time I’m being reckless, you tell me it’s way sexier when I come up with awesome plans.”
Sighing, Nico started running his fingers through Percy’s hair. The Sea Prince started making that cute little purring sound that he always denied he did but totally did. It was part of why Nico liked to call Percy his kitten. Or drowned cat, as he looked like right now.
“Christmas is close and I want all kids to be safe and able to enjoy it”, whispered Percy lowly. “We both know that winter solstice always draws in more trouble. I just wanted to get ahead of it, I guess. There are no major wars going on. I want… I want those kids to be able to have a happy, carefree childhood, as much… as possible…”
“I know, gattino”, assured Nico gently, pressing a kiss to Percy’s temple. “Hephaestus Cabin made a lot of ornaments to decorate Thalia’s old tree. So did Aphrodite Cabin. They had a… decoration-off? Never expected those kind of brawls at camp.”
“It’s… nice”, hummed Percy with a small smile. “That those are this generation’s problems.”
“No stolen symbols of power or abducted goddesses”, agreed Nico, running his fingers over Percy’s side. “It… really is nice. And you…”
“Me?”, echoed Percy with the smallest smile.
“The kids are so glad to have you”, replied Nico. “You care about them so much. You make them feel at home at camp in a way Mister D never really did. They adore you.”
“Ye—eah”, hummed Percy, the small smile incredibly proud. “My kids are great.”
Nico mirrored Percy’s smile at that. Percy always did that. Referring to the campers as 'his kids’. That was why Percy still took dangerous missions, because losing his kids in unnecessarily dangerous missions would break his heart. Percy worked his ass off to train the next generation of demigods and he did not do as camp used to during their time. Sanctioning missions for young children who had essentially no training. It was maybe hypocritical considering Percy sneaked out for his own first mission when he was twelve, but that was exactly why he was so strict. The kids needed proper training first and there was an age limit. No kids went out on missions. Sixteen and older only, considering that they weren’t in constant peril where it was all hands on deck. Most quests were just to find demigods who had run away in fear before a satyr could get to them, retrieving them, or fighting off monster attacks all over the US.
“So… about our Christmas plans…”, started Nico carefully.
“Mh?”, grunted Percy confused. “Mom and Paul are hosting Christmas dinner. Laura and Tyson are really looking forward to it and I am a good big brother who’d never disappoint them.”
“Of course not, but I was wondering, since you have a couple year-rounders…”, drawled Nico.
“I feel bad about them celebrating Christmas all alone”, sighed Percy. “But I also can’t just skip on my family. I wouldn’t.”
“I know, my love, I do”, chuckled Nico and kissed Percy softly. “I wanted to suggest that maybe, we could… invite them too. Since it’s only seven year-rounders, right?”
The new support-system, claiming the kids early so satyrs and camp could help the single parents out, had helped a lot in reducing the number of orphans. Percy perked up and stared.
“Wait, are you… I can’t just… Mom and Paul-”, started Percy with a frown.
“I already talked to them and I offered to provide the additional turkeys. Frank, Leo and Hazel offered too. If everyone of us brings one, we’ll be all set and we know they have enough room”, said Nico, being interrupted by a very enthusiastic kiss from Percy.
This was why Percy loved Nico so much, because Nico always supported him and backed him up. Even when it came to sharing the holidays with orphaned demigods.

For a drabble prompt could you do 87. “That’s my ex-boyfriend/girlfriend.”-“Well, kiss me so they see.” for Percico please?😊💖
Advent Calendar: Day 14
Nico wasn’t entirely sure what Will, Lou and Cecil had said to convince him to come along, yet here he was, on a Christmas market. Not his cup of tea. Sparkly, bright, with many loud, happy and drunk people. Most definitely not his crowd of people.
“Stop being such a Grinch, Nico”, groaned Lou, linking arms with him.
“Yeah, Scrooge”, agreed Cecil from Nico’s other side.
“I just… don’t like Christmas”, muttered Nico with a frown. “I haven’t… I haven’t really celebrated it since… you know…”
Suddenly, the atmosphere dropped. In middle school, Nico had lost both his mother and his sister. Since then, he hadn’t celebrated Christmas and his overall attitude toward happy celebrations. His dad, he was trying to do his best, but he was a very busy man and he wasn’t the most affectionate man. Nico knew Hades di Angelo loved him, but the two weren’t exactly the hugging and cuddling type of people. Both had coped with their grief alone.
“And we get that, Nico”, sighed Will concerned, turning around to walk backward and look at his three friends. “But… But you can’t stay sour and sad all the time. You gotta get out some more. You’re barely leaving the house anymore since your breakup.”
Nico made a face and tried to dodge Will. Stupid, overly fussing best friend. Nico was really glad to have him, if he was being honest. Will had been the one to push him into going out more the first time around, which had resulted in his first relationship and even though things with Alabaster had fallen apart, they had still been good while they had happened.
/break\
Percy was having a really great day. Him and his best friends Grover and Annabeth were on the Christmas market, shopping for presents for everyone. Ridiculous, cheesy, sparkly and glittery presents that would make their friends and family laugh.
“Oh, oh, those fluffy angel wings look so good on you, Perce”, laughed Grover.
Percy was wearing a pair of bright-blue, fluffy wings, giving it a twirl to make his friends whistle. Annabeth grinned as she placed a golden crown on top of his head.
“Perfect, right?”, asked Percy, his own grin broadening. “Maybe for Luke? Tavy would have a field-day with this. And Luke would actually wear it.”
“He would. But did you have to put that mental image in my head?”, asked Annabeth disturbed.
“Ye—ooh, sorry, dude!”
Percy started enthusiastically and then interrupted himself when he stumbled into someone. Turning around, he paused. The guy was hot. Black leather-jacket, dark curls falling into his olive-skinned face, eyes like charcoal. Percy blinked and stared for a while. When the guy seemed to circle Percy to hide behind him, Percy turned with the handsome stranger.
“What are you doing? Why are you circling me?”, asked Percy curiously.
“That’s my ex-boyfriend”, grumbled the handsome guy.
Percy blinked and percied his way through the situation (a verb coined by an exasperated Annabeth about five years ago). “Well, kiss me so he sees.”
It was the first time the guy seemed to properly look at Percy and, much to Percy’s pleasure, he saw interest flaring up in those dark eyes. The next moment, he grabbed Percy by the neck and pulled him into a kiss. A kiss that was supposed to be brief, but it just… deepened.
“Here. Mistletoe to make you look less like a mistle-hoe, Percy”, supplied Grover.
Percy sputtered when they parted, his cheeks darkening as he glared at Grover and Annabeth, who were both staring at him and chuckling. The hot stranger cleared his throat, gaining his attention.
“Hello, my name is Nico. I think that’s the baseline info you should have after the kiss we just shared”, offered Nico, holding his hand out. “Uhm. That was… a good kiss.”
“Thanks”, grinned Percy. “I’m Percy.”
Nico just nodded and stared at Percy in amazement. Alabaster and his new guy already completely forgotten and having walked past them. Even Will, Cecil and Lou, who were slowly catching up with them, were forgotten as all Nico could see was that literal angel in front of him. Blue, fluffy wings attached to his back, a blinding smile on his face that sparkled in his intense blue-green eyes. Nico was pretty sure he had never seen anyone more beautiful.
“Nico! What are you doing? I told you no sneaking off to return home on your own.”
“Will, stop mother-henning, you’re embarrassing me”, hissed Nico flustered, glaring.
“Embarrassing you in front of—oh, pretty”, wanted Will to know.
He raised both eyebrows as he checked Percy out, causing Percy to blush and blink confused, until Nico hissed. “Will, stop checking him out.”
“Why? You calling dibs, or what?”, asked Will teasingly.
“I mean, we already kissed, so Nico definitely has dibs”, offered Percy with a smile.
“I’m sorry, what?”, asked Lou wide-eyed, staring from Nico to Percy.
“You dog”, grunted Cecil stunned. “We leave you out of our sight for five minutes and you going around snogging random pretty boys.”
Nico’s cheeks heated up in embarrassment and he was ready to be swallowed by the ground. Seriously, the one time he ran into a gorgeous guy he could definitely see himself with and his friends had to embarrass him. There was no way-
So—o you wanna go on the Ferris wheel with me?“, asked Percy, interrupting Nico’s thoughts.
"I’m sorry, what?”, asked Nico confused.
Percy jerked his head toward the cute small Ferris wheel with the large smiling Santa face on it. “You know, so it’d be just you and me and we could maybe like… talk? Without nosy and loud and embarrassing friends around us?”
“He talking about us, Annabeth?”, asked Grover offended. “Can’t be, right?”
Percy stuck his tongue out and grabbed Nico by the hand, pulling the dazed and surprised boy along with him and leaving their friends in the dust. Nico stared at Percy in surprise, heart beating fast. He couldn’t believe any of this was actually happening. A real Christmas market miracle.

“Luck? Nope. Skills.” - “If it’s skill then do it again.” ColdFlashWave. Thanks. ❤
Advent Calendar: Day 2
“Either you’re cheating or you’re insanely lucky”, accused Nate with a glare.
“Luck? Nope. Skills”, declared Snart smoothly, smirking.
“If it’s skill then do it again”, demanded Zari and gathered the cards together again.
Jax huffed and leaned back on his chair, watching Snart count his winnings. From across the room, he could feel Grey’s eyes on him, giving him a pointed look – what was he doing playing poker against not one but two criminals. And Stein had a point there. Playing poker with Snart and Rory was never a good idea. The thing was, for the past couple of days, it had been intensely dull and boring on the Wave Rider, so it was either playing poker with Snart, Rory, Nate and Zari, or watching Sara and Amaya spar and risking being forced to join them, or listen to Grey and Ray nerd-babble two tables over. He was honestly looking forward to the holidays at this point.
“And you’re sure you don’t want to go to the Queens’ holiday party?”, asked Nate curiously.
Jax shrugged. “Grey invited me along to go celebrate with his family. And I gotta gather some extra points as favorite uncle with Ronnie already, don’t I? Besides… that party sounds like a mess.”
“Why? Just because the big wedding you guys went to attend turned into a total disaster featuring Nazis from an alternate reality?”, drawled Zari. “I mean, that was an unforgettable wedding.”
Everyone at the table grunted at the memory of the fatal failure of the first attempt at a wedding between Oliver and Felicity. It had been supposed to be a grand beautiful event, but got kind of hijacked by the Nazis. Definitely unforgettable though.
“You will not be a bad influence on my grandson, Jefferson”, called Martin out pointedly.
“Wha—at? Never, Grey”, called Jax back with a broad grin.
“And let’s not forget the part where touching down in 2017 is going to mean having to watch Mick and Len make out with Barry”, tagged Nate on and made a face.
“It’s like a rite of passage to walk in on them having sex at least once”, offered Jax to Zari.
Zari raised both her eyebrows and shrugged at that. She had a pretty good grasp on what she would be walking in on considering she had read Mick’s polyamorous erotica novel and she figured he drew a lot from his own life and relationship with Snart and Allen. Her eyes found the two former – well, mostly former – criminals who had kept uncharacteristically quiet during the conversation.
/break\
Sara was sitting with Len in the library, supposedly researching. The two had grown to become an odd pair of friends ever since joining the Legends. After Snart had sacrificed himself to save them and they only barely managed to rescue him, the two had grown even closer. He had died, technically, but timey-wimey mumbo-jumbo had led to them bringing him back nonetheless because his conscience had still been around, haunting Mick. At first, Mick had thought he was going insane, but that was by far not the case. It took them some time to figure out a way to actually grow Snart a new body with Gideon – but hey, she made full limbs, she could do this – and move his consciousness into it. At the end of the day, both of them had died and come back.
“Do you ever regret joining the Legends?”, asked Sara curiously.
“Mh? I don’t think me and Mick would have returned to the Wave Rider after the disbandment if we would regret joining, don’t you think?”, countered Leonard.
“You rejoined the crew again because you two were going crazy in Aruba, mourning Barry. But they managed to free him from the Time Prison”, pointed Sara out. “If he had never been in there and you two would have gotten to return to him, heroes and saviors in your own right, redeemed from the deeds of your past… would you have truly left him again?”
“You’re not the type to get lost in what ifs”, mused Len thoughtfully. “I can’t attest for potential pasts, Sara. He’s safe and alive now and he has his own calling. Here, we get leeway. We’re not heroes. We will never be. In Central City? Have you met the Wests? They’re a bunch of goodie-two-shoes. One false step and the Detective will be willing to throw us back into jail. The really scary one in that family is and always will be Barry’s sister though.”
“Iris?”, asked Sara confused. “Why? She seems… very harmless.”
“But fiercely protective of her brother”, countered Len and grimaced. “If she thought me and Mick were still criminal enough to lead to a heartbreak for her brother then she would most likely tear us apart all on her own. No. That entire team? Too many goodie-two-shoes for us to be comfortable.”
“Your boyfriend is a goodie-two-shoes”, argued Sara amused.
“Yes, but he vibrates in bed”, replied Len with a dirty grin. “And does entirely different things in bed too. For him, the whole innocent puppy-dog eyes is quite… charming. And redeemable.”
Sara snorted and shook her head in amusement. She shouldn’t have asked.
/break\
Mick had been polishing his gun for the past two hours. And it was not a euphemism. Amaya and Zari exchanged a look over their breakfast. Mick was humming. In lack of a better word, one would describe him as happy. Which was wildly concerning, really. The last time he had looked that happy, they had just heard the news of vampires in Victorian London.
“Hey, buddy. You looking forward to seeing Barry again?”, asked Ray with a carefree smile as he entered the kitchen and sat down opposite Mick. “Got a Christmas present for him?”
“Yes”, replied Mick with what could only be described as an unholy smile.
“Oh, wha-”, started Ray interested.
“No”, interrupted Amaya rather firmly. “No need to spoil the surprise.”
“But… it’s not like it’s for me… so it’s not a surprise”, frowned Ray confused.
“But you’ll babble it on”, countered Amaya pointedly, though the real reason was a different one.
Mick’s grin widened even more. Still humming, he got up to return to his and Lenny’s cabin. Today was the day. They were going to the Queens’ party and they would get to spend time with Barry again. It had been far too long since they last got to be with their speedster.
“You’re in a good mood, Mick”, observed Leonard when Mick entered their room.
“Mh. Can’t wait to see Scarlet in our present”, grinned Mick.
Leonard huffed at that though the grin on his lips matched Mick’s. “Christmas is all about unwrapping presents after all, isn’t it?”
/break\
“Merry Chris—Woah, okay. Stand down, boys.”
Barry was staring wide-eyed, lifting his hands up in the air as both the Cold Gun and the Heat Gun were trained on his head suddenly. As soon as Lenny and Mick realized who had just broken into their room and woken them up, they dropped their weapons.
“Scarlet, how often have I told you not to sneak up on us?”, growled Mick annoyed.
“I wanted to surprise you”, huffed Barry with a pout, crossing his arms.
“You… couldn’t wait to see us, mh?”, asked Leonard knowingly, a smirk on his lisp.
Barry’s cheeks turned red to match his suit as he averted his eyes. “I mean, it’s… Christmas. And after waking up, I had to watch Joe and Cecille be all sweet and in love.”
“Ah, future stepmom”, teased Leonard amused. “She seemed impressive, during the Nazi-fight.”
“She is impressive”, grunted Barry softly. “I really like her, I like how happy she makes Joe.”
“So seeing your old man be all lovey-dovey made you wanna be lovey-dovey too”, accused Mick.
The grin on his lips matched Lenny’s as the arsonist reached out to wrap an arm around Barry’s waist and pull him down onto the bed. Barry yelped a little as he collapsed against Mick’s chest. Mick smiled pleased and tucked the speedster beneath his chin.
“How long do you think we have?”, asked Barry as he snuggled up to Mick.
“Don’t know. Don’t care”, grumbled Mick.
“Sara said something about landing early to drop off the professor and Jax”, offered Leonard as he laid down behind Barry, gently kissing the back of his neck. “So I’m positive we have some more time. You know how long Nathaniel takes to get ready in the morning.”
“Hair too”, grunted Mick pointedly.
“Yes, Raymond too”, agreed Leonard with a laugh.
“I live with Iris and Cecille. I know about having to wait my turn for the bathroom”, huffed Barry.
“You do know you’re old enough to get your own place, right?”, teased Leonard amused.
He trailed kisses along Barry’s shoulders, while Barry cuddled up to Mick some more. The large man was perfect for cuddling, warm and soft and comfortable. Barry sighed contently as Len spooned him from behind. With a very pleased smile on his lips did Leonard lean over to properly kiss Mick good morning too. It was downright endearing how pleased Mick looked, with their third tucked against his chest like that. Though Leonard couldn’t deny that he too was happy to have Barry back with them. What Sara had said, it rang true. If they hadn’t believed Barry to be locked away forever, they might have thought twice about leaving Central City.
“Have you missed us, Scarlet?”, asked Leonard teasingly.
“Obviously”, grumbled Barry pointedly. “Joe’s been… kind of frustrated ever since Wally left.”
“Why’d your brother leave?”, asked Mick confused.
Both Mick and Leonard had spoken with the kid before, worked with him. He was amusing.
“Too many speedsters around”, offered Barry with a sigh. “Got tired of being in my shadow, I guess. Being Kid Flash on Team Flash… Yeah, I get it.”
“Mh, and is your brother going to join us for Christmas?”, wondered Leonard.
“I have no idea. He’s barely been in contact with us since he left”, sighed Barry, pulling Lenny closer against himself. “I hope? But… your sister is going to join us for Christmas.”
Leonard raised his eyebrows curiously at that and exchanged a look with Mick. “She is?”
“You’re going to have so much fun with that”, chuckled Barry teasingly.
“Scarlet, what are you keeping from me?”, asked Leonard, nipping Barry’s neck.
Barry laughed and swatted at him. “Cisco and Lisa got back together a little while ago.”
“Mh. We get to threaten the pipsqueak some more”, grumbled Mick very pleased.
Leonard raised both of his eyebrows. “Now how did that happen?”
“After you… died, she started… coming around occasionally. Guess she was a bit… lost. And after you came back from the dead, well…”, shrugged Barry. “Turns out while you two were in Aruba and Wally was posing as me, apparently… they asked for her help and the Golden Glider became Miss Midas, a young upcoming hero.”
“How have I not heard of this before?”, grunted Leonard pointedly.
“It’s not like you drop by with a lot of social calls”, muttered Barry.
“We’re literally saving all of history, Scarlet”, defended Mick gruffly.
Barry laughed softly and leaned up to peck first Mick on the lips and then Leonard. “You can get all caught up on the party. But for now, you’re all mine.”

Malace and/ or hunter/hayden/jack. “Come over here and make me.”
Advent Calendar: Day 21
“Puppy. Angel. Jace. Take that abomination down right now.”
“Come over here and make me”, dared Jace stubbornly.
Magnus glared, arms crossed over his chest. His loft looked absolutely horrifying. Jace Herondale, in all of his glory, had decided to decorate it for Christmas. Now, Magnus knew his blonde was very… extra. The sheer amount of candles and nonsensical decorations in his room prior to moving into the master bedroom with Magnus and Alec had given that away already. But Magnus’ loft did not need two hundred candles all over the place, golden and red decorative ornaments everywhere. It looked ridiculously tacky and overly sparkly.
“Very well, my angel. But remember: You decided to challenge me.”
Jace frowned where he stood on a latter to put up mistletoe – golden-painted mistletoe, seriously, Jace? Magnus stalked over to his boyfriend and with one quick movement did he throw his blonde over his shoulder. Jace made a startled oof-sound, followed by a yelp when Magnus smacked his butt. Magnus was holding onto Jace by the legs, resting one hand on Jace’s butt as he carried the Shadowhunter off toward the bedroom.
“He—ey. Put me down. What do you think you’re doing there, Bane?! Put. Me. Down!”
“You challenged me. I am just… making you stop”, hummed Magnus pleased. “Wait and see.”
/break\
How was the pre-Christmas time always so hectic? It was as though demons and assholes decided to act up even more. Alec was so insanely exhausted by the time he finally got home. Though days when his parabatai had off were always harder on him too. Even now that he was the head of the Institute and technically not going out on missions with Jace anymore; just knowing Jace close-by helped him. And Magnus hadn’t shown his gorgeous face all day either. Not that the High Warlock wasn’t busy himself, but occasionally he’d find some silly reason to drop by and just… see Alec.
“I’m home?”, called Alec out curiously as he entered the dark living room.
He noted the excessive decorations as he made his way down the hall and toward the bedroom. Were his boyfriends not at home at all…? Shedding his jacket and kicking his shoes off, Alec entered their bedroom just to pause. Apparently, they were home after all.
“Hello, darling”, whispered Magnus lowly, a sly grin on his face.
“You look like the Cheshire Cat”, muttered Alec fondly. “What did you do to him…?”
The smile Magnus offered him was all teeth. His make-up was smudged and his hair messy, sweat covering his body. Jace beneath him was in no better shape. There were bite-marks and hickeys all over the blonde’s torso, his hair a total mess as he slept soundly, snuggled up to Magnus.
“…Did you use garlands to tie him to the bed…?”, asked Alec doubtfully.
“I used whatever was available”, shrugged Magnus unapologetically.
Alec sighed and got out of his jeans before collapsing on Magnus’ other side. He pulled the High Warlock close so he could kiss Magnus. Magnus made a pleased sound, grasping Alec by the neck and playing with the dark hair at the base of Alec’s neck as he held the archer close.
“I should have never told you how to knock him out”, hummed Alec amused.
“Oh, but my love, we share everything”, gasped Magnus mischievously.
Eyes flashing golden, Magnus slowly, deliberately, ran his fingers along Jace’s side. The sleeping blonde grumbled and curled closer together toward Magnus. Smiling fondly, Magnus untied Jace to properly pull the blonde against himself. Sleeping Jace was always very cuddly and also very serene. The secret to knocking Jace out were repeated orgasms, overwhelming him with pleasure until he’d just be compliant. Alec had been the first one to notice, one night when Magnus had been gone for a couple days on High Warlock business and the Shadowhunters had been bored out of their minds without their boyfriend.
“What did he do, Mag?”, asked Alec amused, getting more comfortable.
“He made my loft look like a Christmas tree vomited all over it”, grunted Magnus displeased. “What’s with that? Didn’t expect Jace to be that much into the Christmas-spirit.”
“Maybe he’s overcompensating”, shrugged Alec thoughtfully and reached out to run his fingers through Jace’s hair. “With everything that’s happened this year…? How Robert and Maryse behaved…? With Robert and Max out in Los Angeles, Maryse doing… who knows what in the mundie world now. Our family kind of… fell apart over this year. Over the things… Jace, not being a Wayland, how Maryse and Robert reacted to that…”
Magnus frowned at that and caressed Jace’s cheek. “What do you say, we invite Imogen over for Christmas dinner? Isabelle and Maxwell? Oh, never mind, how about we just invite everyone?”
“That sounds… nice”, hummed Alec with a small smile.
“Just the family”, smiled Magnus, kissing Alec’s forehead.
Alec’s smile softened as he nuzzled into Magnus’ chest, watching how Jace’s eyelids slowly fluttered open. The blonde looked sleepy and disoriented for a moment, before their eyes met. A content smile spread over Jace’s lips when he recognized his parabatai.
“Alec”, hummed Jace contently and leaned in for a kiss.
“Hey there, gorgeous”, chuckled Alec as he met Jace half-way and kissed him. “You good?”
“Mo—ore than good”, groaned Jace and stretched widely.
“Magnus took good care of you?”, asked Alec teasingly.
“Ye—es”, confirmed Jace and tilted his head up to kiss Magnus. “Hey there, Mag.”
“Hello, angel”, replied Magnus, voice soft as he pulled Jace and Alec closer. “Sure you’re okay? You went out pretty quickly. I didn’t push you too far, did I?”
“You’re perfect, it was perfect, all’s perfect, stop fussing”, huffed Jace, nuzzling into Magnus.
It made Alec smile even more. He rested his cheek on Magnus’ chest and watched how Jace nibbled along Magnus’ jawline, sneaking a kiss once or twice. How did he deserve not one but two gorgeous, loving boyfriends who also looked just so perfect together…? He must have zoned out for a moment, because suddenly he had Jace caressing his arm inquisitively.
“Still with us, parabatai?”, asked Jace, nudging Alec gently.
“Always”, whispered Alec softly. “Always with you two.”

For a drabble prompt could you do 5.”Don’t yell at me like I’m a child!”-“DONT THROW SCISSORS!”for Percico please?😊💖
Advent Calendar: Day 5
“For fuck’s sake, watch out, Percy!”
“Don’t yell at me like I’m a child!”, countered Percy frustrated.
“DONT THROW SCISSORS!”, exclaimed Nico agitated.
“Woah there. How about you both take a step back and calm down…?”, suggested Leo.
The son of Hephaestus stood awkwardly in the doorway to Percy’s room, watching them doubtfully. Leo and Percy had moved in together when they had moved to New Rome for college and had soon enough formed a close friendship with each other.
“I didn’t mean to throw the scissors at you”, offered Percy softly after a moment. “I just… I just got frustrated, I guess. Why does this not fit together?!”
Groaning, Percy sprawled out on the floor. With a sigh did Nico collapse right next to Percy and turned onto his side to look at the son of Poseidon.
“I don’t know. But we’ve been at it for three hours now”, sighed Nico.
“Right. And neither of you figured to just… ask your local tinkerer to help you build whatever the heck it is you two are trying to build there?”, asked Leo pointedly at that.
For a moment, Nico and Percy just stared at each other, before Percy lifted one arm. “In our defense… we didn’t know you were home…”
“Yeah, I thought you were at my place, annoying my sister”, agreed Nico. “That’s usually what happens whenever I leave the apartment. You and Frank come sneaking in.”
When Nico had moved to New Rome, he had moved in with his sister. Frank all the while was still the current praetor and thus living in the praetors’ mansion together with Reyna. So whenever Leo left the apartment, Nico liked to go and spend some alone time with Percy, while whenever Nico left, Leo and Frank found their way to Hazel.
“Well, Frank has a meeting and Hazel said she has to study”, grumbled Leo.
“Ah. That explains that”, nodded Percy amused. “So—o, you wanna help us, oh great tinkerer?”
“Sure. What are we building?”, asked Leo eagerly and got his tool-belt.
“Uhm. A rocking horse…”, admitted Percy with a blush.
“…That’s not hard. How are you-”, started Leo doubtfully.
Nico glared at him so hard that Leo immediately shut up. Instead, Leo went to work on the rocking horse. Which was actually a rocking hippocampus. All blue and with a fish-tail.
“Aw, that’s cute. Laura is gonna love this”, grinned Leo as he started working.
“I hope so. It’s her first Christmas and I just wanted to get her a really great present”, replied Percy.
Nico smiled gently at his boyfriend and cupped Percy’s cheek to bring him close so he could properly kiss him. Percy was still so excited about his baby sister and he tended to hover a little, buying her a lot of stuffed toys and other cute things that reminded him of her. Nico knew that one day, years down the line, Percy would make an excellent father.
“It’s nice that your mom invited us for Christmas too”, said Leo softly after a while.
“You’re my roommate, a heartbreakingly adorable orphan and also the steady boyfriend of Nico’s sister. And since Nico and Hazel only have each other, of course did mom invite them both and not just my boyfriend”, offered Percy matter-of-factly. “And leaving Frank home alone would just be sad. Especially since Ty insists we’re brothers too, because distant legacy didn’t cut it.”
“You could have just said ‘Yeah, my mom is awesome’ for short”, teased Leo. “A—and done.”
“Done? What the… Valdez, we have been at this for hours!”, grunted Nico.
Both he and Percy stared at the perfect rocking horse while Leo just grinned broadly.
/break\
Laura was giggling happily, the stuffed hippocampus she had gotten from Tyson tucked under her arm as she patted the rocking hippocampus. Honestly, her whole bedroom had a distinct ocean-theme by now but Paul had gotten used to it. He smiled as he leaned over to kiss his wife. Sally was in the middle of a conversation with Hazel and Ella, who had tagged along with her boyfriend. Tyson was sitting on the floor with Laura, excitedly talking to Percy and Leo, though Percy was rather distracted by Nico who had his arms tightly wrapped around his waist and his chin resting on Percy’s shoulder, kissing his neck every now and again. Leaving the rest of their family to it, he returned to his chess-game with Frank. Their family was loud and large by now, but definitely good.
“Who is the best little sister on the whole planet?”, cooed Percy softly, kissing Laura’s cheek.
“Me. That must be me!”, chimed Hazel with a bright smile. “Right, brother?”
Nico opened and closed his mouth a couple of times. “Don’t do this to me. Don’t put me between the love of my life and my sister. That is just… unfair.”
“Love of your life?”, echoed Frank with a teasing grin, just to earn a glare and shut up.
“When they get married, I get to be best man”, stated Tyson proudly.
“Ella wants to be the flower girl”, hummed Ella and tilted her head, tickling Laura with her feathers.
Laura giggled, trying to grab Ella’s wing but not being fast enough. Everyone smiled as they watched the little girl’s excitement at her first Christmas and at having her family all here.
“Let’s not plan our wedding before we’re even engaged”, muttered Nico embarrassed, blushing.
Percy smiled pleased and leaned back, tilting his head to kiss Nico’s cheek. “That train’s left the station months ago. I’m pretty sure the entire Aphrodite Cabin has like a whole 3D model of what our wedding is going to look like, decked out with seating arrangements and menus.”
“They do. Pipes showed me before”, confirmed Leo with a broad grin.
Huffing, Nico buried his face in Percy’s neck in mild embarrassment. He knew that, somewhere deep down. The love-life of Percy Jackson was the most interesting gossip for the Aphrodite Cabin and ever since Nico and Percy had been going steady, there were even more rumors and all.
“You’re so cute when you’re flustered, big bad Ghost King”, whispered Percy teasingly.
“Shut up, Sea Prince”, warned Nico annoyed. “Or I’ll keep your present for myself.”
Percy gasped dramatically, making Nico smile softly and kiss him.

“Let’s just bury the hatchet.” - “Fuck your hatchet.” AlecxJace (I thought Jace used duel axes, but I do not know anymore. *cries* I think my life is a lie and I swear I saw it somewhere.)
Advent Calendar: Day 15
“Jace. Jace, you can’t still be angry-”, started Alec with a frown.
“No, boss, I’m not angry. I’m being completely professional, sir”, growled Jace out.
Alec swallowed the spark of arousal that being called ‘sir’ by Jace sent through his body. Now was really not the time and also not the mood, because his parabatai looked ready to stab him with the sword he was cleaning. This was entirely not going as planned.
“Jace, please. Let’s just bury the hatchet”, requested Alec.
“Fuck your hatchet”, hissed Jace and got up. “I gotta leave for a mission. See you in like… a week.”
Alec made a face and ran his fingers through his hair. He just watched his parabatai stomp off.
“Wouldn’t it have been better to tell him the truth, Alec?”, asked Isabelle, eyebrows raised.
Alec glared at the weapon’s master, who just stood there judgmentally. “No. It’s… It’s a surprise. I really didn’t expect him to react like this to the mission, but…”
“Come on, Alec”, sighed Isabelle, shaking her head a little. “After everything he’s been through this year? Christmas was the thing Jace has been looking forward to, to celebrate with us.”
“But what I’ve planned-”, started Alec.
Isabelle smiled and leaned in, resting a hand on Alec’s hand. “Is sweet and amazing, but right now, Jace doesn’t know that, so he’s just angry that his… parabatai… is sending him on a long mission over Christmas, away from everyone. Alone.”
The face Alec made was absolutely tortured. He sighed as he rubbed his face.
/break\
Jace was glaring angrily as he entered the place he was supposed to stay in. There had been ‘strange activities’ up in the Hamptons, apparently. The way Luke made it sound, it was a rouge pack of werewolves. And of all the Shadowhunters at the Institute, Jace had been sent to check it out. Due to the sneaky nature of the wolves, they expected at least a week of investigations and tracking, especially considering all the current bad weather.
It was two days before Christmas. Jace was going to miss Christmas in favor of a stupid solo mission. Solo, especially. Because it was nearly Christmas. So others got the time off, only Jace was expendable enough to be send away? What was this, some kind of… punishment?
Jace threw his bag into a corner of the admittedly spacious and cozy room at the ski resort before he sat down on the corner of the bed and buried his hands in his hair. Was Alec trying to get some time away from Jace? Was this… a mistake? Had Alec realized that fantasizing about Jace had been better than being with Jace and now he didn’t know how to break up with his parabatai so Alec just tried to put distance between them…? The thought made him tremble a little.
“Jace? Jace, what’s wrong? Are you okay? Talk to me, parabatai.”
Looking up, Jace watched how Alec knelt down in front of him, concern written all over his face as Alec gently reached out to cup Jace’s face. Jace blinked a couple of times, confused.
“What… are you doing here?”, asked Jace, eyebrows knitted.
“I…”, started Alec and sighed before he leaned in to rest his forehead against Jace’s. “Clary opened a portal for me to catch up with you. This… was supposed to be a… surprise Christmas present.”
“What? The mission?”, asked Jace, now even more confused than before.
“There is no mission, Jace”, chuckled Alec, tilting Jace’s head up enough to kiss his cheek. “This… is a week-long, romantic get-away for just you and me. A place where no one knows us and there are no Shadowhunters snooping. Where you and me can just… be a happy couple, openly.”
“…What?”, asked Jace, voice breaking just a little in surprise.
“After everything we’ve been through this year”, whispered Alec, wrapping one arm around Jace’s waist to pull him closer. “This seemed like what we deserve. To celebrate Christmas together, just you and me. Lydia is stepping in for me, Clary and Izzy will cover for us too.”
“…Oh”, mumbled Jace, his cheeks coloring softly.
“You’re cute when you blush”, mumbled Alec with a small smile, nuzzling into Jace’s face.
“I just… I thought…”, started Jace and shook his head a little.
“What?”, asked Alec with a frown, bringing some distance between them.
“I… I thought you were sending me away over Christmas and being so secretive because…”, started Jace and leaned in to hide his face in Alec’s chest out of embarrassment. “I thought you were trying to figure out how to break up with me because this whole… relationship wasn’t working for you anymore, after… everything that happened lately…”
The two of them had gotten together after the memory demon incident, after the big reveal of Alec’s feelings. But with everything that had happened afterward, Jace lying to Alec about his death and then Jace nearly killing Alec. The blonde flinched away when Alec cupped his cheek.
“I’m not breaking up with you”, stated Alec very firmly. “I love you, Jace. I’ve always loved you. And I know what happened wasn’t your fault. It was the Owl, not you.”
Jace relaxed, went nearly boneless in Alec’s arms and accepting his parabatai’s safe embrace. “By the Angel, I was so stupid. I just… I thought…”
“Not stupid. Just… wired”, offered Alec softly. “You’ve been through a lot, Jace. That’s… That’s why I wanted you all for myself. Just you and me, together.”
Sighing, Jace wrapped his arms around Alec’s shoulders, getting on his toe-tips to embrace him properly. “By the Angel, I love you so much, Alec. I’m sorry I’ve been lashing out about it…”
“No, babe, it’s okay”, murmured Alec gently, carefully guiding Jace so the two of them could sit on the bed together. “It’s okay. I know why you lashed out. I know it was… Izzy was right, I really shouldn’t have tried to make this a surprise. I should have just told you the truth.”
For a long stretch, the two of them sat in silence. “…No, it’s… it’s a nice surprise, Alec.”
Alec huffed at that, looking at Jace with a fond smile. “Yeah?”
“Yeah”, confirmed Jace, hugging Alec a little tighter. “I get… to have you all to myself for a whole week. We can… do all the cheesy stuff like holding hands and kissing in public. It sounds… nice.”
“It… It really does”, agreed Alec with the softest look on his face.
And oh, it really did. Skiing, ice-skating, just going out to dinner together, being able to be affectionate with each other. Alec smiled as Jace snuggled up to him.

“You forgot your book.” - “No, I lost my book!" Jace and Bat (I forgot the ship name)
Advent Calendar: Day 19
Jace was extremely exhausted, frustrated and maybe just a touch feverish when he roamed the bookstore. Two more weeks to Christmas and he had another two exams and one essay to write. For now, he really had to buy the last Christmas presents though.
“Hello. Do you need help? You look… lost?”
Blinking slowly, a little sluggishly, Jace looked up. Okay, on top of exam time and Christmas time, he had also gotten sick. Which figured because he was stressing himself out and wearing himself thing because he also had work on top of everything. And he was just exhausted and would like to curl together on the couch, or on a hypothetical boyfriend’s lap, with a hot chocolate, watching cheesy Christmas movies. Hypothetical boyfriend sounded great.
“Hello? You okay there, dude?”
Shaking his head, Jace actually managed to look at the salesperson in front of him. Oh. Nice. Cute book-store clerk with an adorable smile and dark curls falling into his handsome face.
“I’m looking for a book”, offered Jace slowly.
“Good. Congratulations, you’re at the right store”, laughed the cute guy.
Jace glanced at the name-tag. Bat. That was an odd name. With another shake of his head to clear all the fog, he grabbed his bag and put it on the shelf to rummage through it. When he didn’t immediately find what he was looking for, he started unpacking the bag, grumbling.
“Ah. There. My grandmother, she wants this specific book and she… told me the title in a letter… it. There it is. It’s apparently discontinued or whatever, I don’t know, but… you have rare books, right?”, rambled Jace hopefully, shoving the letter into Bat’s face.
Bat smiled reassuringly as he read the title. “I’ll just go and check. Come with me?”
Hastily, Jace grabbed his things and stuffed them back into his bag before following Bat toward the information counter. Bat sat down behind the computer and clicked about a little. With a triumphant sound did he turn to smile at Jace and get up.
“I’ll get it from the back. Just wait a minute here, sir”, smiled Bat.
Jace heaved a relieved sigh and relaxed some. This was the third book-store he was checking for the book. And while he knew his grandmother would probably be happy about just homemade cookies from him and some flowers, he wanted to get something special for her. This was their first Christmas together as a family, after he had found her again. He needed it to be perfect. Christmas with his foster family had always been more of a cold affair, Robert and Maryse mostly just not around because they always prioritized work over family, so it was just Izzy, Alec, Jace and Max ordering pizza and doing a minimum of self-made decorating around the mansion.
“There you go, sir”, offered Bat minutes later, startling Jace out of his thoughts.
“You have no idea how much this means”, sighed Jace relieved.
“A present for a special someone?”, asked Bat curiously.
“My grandmother”, replied Jace. “We… only recently reconnected.”
“Outfall?”, asked Bat before pausing. “Sorry, none of my business.”
“It’s okay”, assured Jace with a small smile and a shake of his head. “I was adopted as a kid and only recently found my grandmother, my only living blood-relative.”
“That… That’s nice”, offered Bat a little lost but honestly.
“Anyway. Thanks for helping me with this. Happy holidays”, grinned Jace.
/break\
Jace sat on the ground, looking under the bed and cursing. He had continued writing his essay and wanted to grab his book for a reference, just to… not find the damn book. It wasn’t in his bag, it wasn’t on his table, it wasn’t on any of the shelves, or under the bed. Nothing.
Knocking interrupted him. “The door’s open. I’m busy.”
“You forgot your book.”
“No, I lost my book!”, grumbled Jace annoyed, trying to crawl into the deeper corner under the bed.
“No, you would have lost your book if I hadn’t found it. You actually just forgot it. At the store.”
Frowning, Jace crawled out from beneath the bed and sat up to check who even was intruding. He blinked surprised at Bat, who smiled and held the book in his hands. Of course. He had emptied his entire bag in the book-store earlier and he must have forgotten to put the book back inside.
“You are literally a life-savior”, gaped Jace and stood up. “Wait. How did you… find me?”
“You’re using your student ID as a book-mark, which not the best idea”, offered Bat amused. “So I knew your name and your college. I took a shot asking at the dorms… And found you.”
“Fuck. You actually are a life-savior”, grunted Jace at that, eyes widening. “I got an exam in three days and without my ID it would simply not… count. I could marry you right now.”
“I mean, I’d be okay with a coffee-date for now”, laughed Bat, eyes sparkling.
“…What?”, asked Jace, blinking very slowly and accepting his book back.
Bat grinned and tilted his head. “You’re very cute. I thought so in the book-store already. So, I don’t know, figured I’d give it a shot. You, me, a date? After your exams are over?”
/break\
“This is not what I had in mind for a first date”, muttered Jace.
“Why? I asked for coffee. I’m having coffee. You’re having tea. It’s cozy, we’re watching a romantic movie”, shrugged Bat with a grin, tucking the blanket more around Jace.
The two were curled together on Jace’s bed, watching some cheesy Christmas movie. Three blankets thrown over them, Jace nursing a nice, hot tea and having a hot-water bottle against his upset stomach. Bat was gently playing with Jace’s hair.
“I keep coughing and sneezing and being generally very gross”, grumbled Jace.
“Yes. But someone has to make sure you are resting and not overworking yourself”, pointed Bat out with a grin. “Besides, I don’t mind. It’s… human. If I’d be grossed out by taking care of you, this relationship totally would have no chance at all. Now stop talking, the movie’s getting interesting.”
Jace smiled faintly and snuggled closer to Bat. His new boyfriend was really cute.

Malace and/ or hunter/hayden/jack. “Did you just hiss at me?” - “Are you judging me?”
Advent Calendar: Day 3
Something was up. Alec could essentially smell it in the air, really. His boyfriends were conspiring against him. As insane as that might sound. He glared as he adjusted.
“You sound paranoid, Alec”, pointed Lydia out, both eyebrows raised.
Alec grunted. “I know how it sounds. But… I can’t help it. They’re whispering. Conversations just stop when I enter the room. They’re being secretive. And after Magnus and I broke up, when we got back together, we promised to be… better. No more secrets.”
Lydia heaved a sigh as she looked at him from her own desk. After the Owl incident, when Jace had been sent to the Silent Brothers, Lydia had returned to New York. She had been healed from her injuries and with both Clary and Jace gone, she knew Alec would need help and also moral support. The two had stayed in contact after their nearly wedding and had become great friends. He appreciated her strength and friendship. He didn’t know if he would have been able to handle everything if he wouldn’t have had her at his side. They had worked their way up to being co-leaders of the Institute, a bit ironic considering that was why they had nearly gotten married in the first place. But additionally to that, they had become friends. Alec considered her his best friend, after Jace. Which was much appreciated, especially since Alec had started dating Jace. It was nice, having a best friend outside his romantic relationship. To talk about his boyfriends with.
“Both Magnus and Jace love you a lot, Alec”, pointed Lydia out, eyebrows raised. “They adore you. Whatever it is you think they’re hiding from you, it’d not anything bad.”
“Sure”, sighed Alec doubtfully. “You’re probably right.”
/break\
And Lydia probably was. The problem was the probably. It was just… past experience. While all three were working hard to be honest and trust each other and share their feelings and worries with each other, all three were really bad at this kind of thing.
“Hey, babe, what are you-”, started Alec with a smile as he approached Magnus from behind, just to pause. “Did… Did you just hiss at me?”
“Are you judging me?”, asked Magnus and straightened up. “You startled me, Alexander. Really now, how often have I told you not to sneak up on a busy warlock.”
Alec frowned at that. That was exactly why he found his boyfriends suspicious these days. Magnus smoothly pushed something under another document before reaching out and pulling Alec into a soft and gentle kiss that was rather effectively distracting for the most part.
“How was your day, darling?”, asked Magnus, wrapping an arm around Alec’s waist.
He steered the Shadowhunter out of the office – away from whatever Magnus had smoothly tried to hide there. Seriously, something was going on here and he needed to know.
“Exhausting. Lindsay suggested to make an… office party this year”, grunted Alec and rolled his eyes. “A huge Christmas party at the Institute. Because that sounds like a good idea.”
“Why not?”, asked Magnus curiously.
“Alcohol. For everyone. And then an attack? It’d be a mess”, sighed Alec. “But I allowed her to put up some decorations and all… She seemed pacified by that.”
“Mh. I’d wait to see what kind of decorations before I’d count it as a victory”, chuckled Magnus.
“You’re probably right with that”, admitted Alec with a frown. “Where are we going?”
“Outside. I had promised our blonde to join him when I’m done anyway, but if you’re home already, I suppose I can finish work tomorrow”, offered Magnus.
“Why is Jace outside on the balcony…?”, asked Alec doubtfully.
Once they were outside, Alec realized why. It had snowed. Everything was powered in white and there, on the couch, sat Jace, curled together under a soft fluffy blanket, holding a hot chocolate and watching the kittens play in the snow and leave rather adorable cat-imprints in the snow.
“Look at our soft little puppy”, whispered Magnus with a content smile.
“…Adorable”, mumbled Alec in awe. “I love when he’s so… so… yeah, soft.”
“I know. That’s why I figured we should join our soft puppy”, smiled Magnus.
Jace looked up when his boyfriends sat down on either side of him. Magnus conjured two more cups of hot chocolate with marshmallows as well as more blankets, before leaning in to kiss Jace’s cheek. Contently, Jace snuggled up to Alec, kissing him softly as another blanket was thrown over him by the warlock, who then snuggled up to him in return.
“Are you chasing the cats again, my puppy?”, asked Magnus teasingly.
“Stupid nickname. Stupid warlock”, grumbled Jace embarrassed.
It was something Magnus had started calling Jace after the blonde had come to stand in front of his loft like a ‘stray little puppy looking for shelter’. Alec had never realized just how fitting it was until his boyfriend pointed out all the parallels – especially the puppy-dog eyes and the sad puppy-pout.
“Don’t be cheeky or I’ll go get a newspaper, puppy”, chided Magnus.
Jace’s cheeks heated up even more and Alec just smiled softly. “Don’t take the big, mean kitten too seriously. You know how cats are, they like to tease poor puppies.”
“Alexander!”, gasped Magnus, looking at Alec in utter betrayal.
“You hissed at me like an upset kitten when I approached you just now”, pointed Alec out.
A large grin spread over Jace’s face as he stuck his tongue out at Magnus. “Big, mean kitten.”
“Silly, little puppy”, countered Magnus and leaned over to kiss him.
Alec smiled softly as he watched his boyfriends and sipped his hot chocolate. This was more than he could have ever wished for. When he got together with Magnus, he had been determined to get over Jace, to bury his feelings for his parabatai, to see it as a step away from that. Instead, especially over Jace’s death and possession, it became apparent that Magnus too had fallen in love with Jace and was as willing to do absolutely everything to save their blonde, even including to go to Edom and give up his magic for Jace. Only after Jace was returned to them from the City of Bones did the two actually confront Jace about it, because they figured at the very least, they needed to be honest about their feelings, even if nothing would come forth from them. They were wrong. Turned out one of the issues Jace dealt with at the City of Bones was his internalized self-hatred, implanted by Valentine who tried to teach him that he wasn’t worthy of love and that love wasn’t worth the effort. But Jem had worked hard on showing Jace all the instances love had indeed helped him. Slowly, Jace had come to realize just how wrong Valentine had been. And then he came to realize that maybe he loved Alec and Magnus. The past weeks, with both of them, had been the happiest of Alec’s entire life. Head of the Institute, two loving and wonderful boyfriends, peace.
“And you’ve just been sitting here, watching the cats?”, asked Alec with a small smile.
“Well, at first I was watching the snow. It was… beautiful”, whispered Jace softly. “You were at work, Magnus was busy, I figured I’d just… enjoy the night air. Recharge a little? You keep telling me that I should spend more time just relaxing and not just… exhausting myself all day.”
“Good boy, listening to us like that”, smirked Magnus pleased and kissed Jace’s cheek.
“And then the kittens came out and started chasing snowflakes”, continued Jace. “It’s… cute?”
In that moment, a snowflake landed on Jace’s nose. The blonde crossed his eyes as he tired to look at his nose. Alec bit his lips, watching how adorable his parabatai could be.
“The kittens are not the only cute things around here”, pointed Alec out and kissed Jace.
“You’re both awful and keep undermining me”, protested Jace annoyed.
“You make it just too easy, puppy”, teased Magnus with a smirk.
Alec smiled faintly, all thoughts of his boyfriends conspiring against him forgotten.

65:We bet, and you lost.” - “But tattoos are permanent.” with platonic Percy/Jace please!
Advent Calendar: Day 8
Alec frowned when the door to the tattoo-parlor opened and the first thing he could hear was loud giggling and slurred voices. Drunk people were exhausting. So often, they came in here and wanted the most ridiculous tattoos. Alec was not doing that. He wasn’t tattooing drunk people. They were most definitely not in the right mindset to make body-altering decisions.
“Pe—erce, this is an awful idea”, mumbled a voice with a British accent.
“We bet, and you lost”, countered who Alec assumed was Perce.
“But tattoos are permanent”, countered the first one.
“Tough luck. You’ll get a tramp-stamp of a Christmas tree now and tha—at’s it.”
Taking a deep breath, Alec looked up with a tight-lipped smile. The tight-lipped smile loosened when he saw the two guys. They were in their mid-twenties, one dark-haired and with a swimmer’s build, the other with golden-blonde hair falling softly into his face, a smile on his plush, pink lips, eyes sparkling – and okay, so Alec’s focus might have instantly latched onto the blonde…
“We don’t… We don’t take drunk costumers”, stated Alec firmly.
“Aw, come o—on”, whined the dark-haired one.
“You heard the man. I am not getting anything on my ass today, Percy”, declared the blonde.
“That’s unfair, this is super important. Please?”, begged Percy with a pout.
“No. Come back tomorrow, sober, and we can make an appointment”, replied Alec.
The blonde made a little victory-motion before winking at Alec. “Thanks, handsome.”
“He—ey!”, complained Percy as he was being pulled out of the tattoo-parlor again.
Alec just shook his head and heaved a sigh with red cheeks. Handsome, huh?

The next day, around afternoon, a man in an expensive-looking, well-cut suit entered the Lightwood Ink Institute. Not exactly one of the regulars, but what was far more interesting were the two men walking behind him. The two drunken idiots from last night. Both looked properly chastised as they trailed after the man in the suit, seemingly rather embarrassed.
“You’re the one who stopped my husband and his idiot of a best friend from getting matching tramp-stamps of Christmas trees last night?”, asked the man in the suit.
“Yes. I don’t tattoo drunk people”, replied Alec, one eyebrow raised.
“Thank you”, sighed the man. “I’m Nico di Angelo. My husband Percy, his idiot Jace. You won’t believe how often they get into trouble when mixed. You two, what do you say to the nice man?”
Nico was scowling as he crossed his arms. Percy and Jace stepped forward, both looking sheepish. Percy looped arms with Nico, leaning against his husband in what was clearly an attempt to pacify him. Judging from the way the scowl melted from Nico’s face, it worked.
“Sorry for the trouble. In our defense, last night it sounded like a brilliant idea”, stated Percy. “I mean, this one would totally rock a tramp-stamp. Even if it were a Christmas tree.”
He nudged Jace who blushed and scratched his nose. “Yeah, thanks for saving me from that lasting embarrassment. I really owe you one.”
“You don’t”, assured Alec with a small smile. “I know stupid, drunk decisions when I hear them and it’d be highly unprofessional to still tattoo someone who’s not in their right state of mind.”
“Sti—ill”, continued Jace, leaning against the counter with his upper body, head tilted to look up at Alec from beneath his lashes. “I wish I could do something to make up for the trouble…”
“You really don’t have to, it’s-”, started Alec once more with a polite smile.
“Oh by Poseidon’s beard, this is painful to watch!”, exclaimed Percy all of a sudden, startling Alec. “Jace wants to take you out on a date. Do you wanna go on a date with Jace? I promise as long as you don’t give him too much alcohol, he can actually behave like an adult human being.”
“Most of the time”, tagged Nico on, earning a glare from Jace. “What? I said ‘most’, okay?”
Alec blinked slowly as he watched Jace blush a pretty pink. “I’m sorry?”
“You’re really handsome and you must be a good guy, considering you didn’t take advantage of our drunk state last night and you also weren’t unnecessarily rude about it either”, replied Jace with a shrug, looking up at Alec. “I’d like to take you out. Christmas market? After you close shop?”
“Jace wants to cli—imb him like a Christmas tre—e”, chimed Percy beneath his breath, cackling.
“…Who climbs a Christmas tree?”, wondered Nico before he watched his husband squirm. “Oh no. Don’t tell me you… Why do I let you two hang out without adult supervision? Explain.”
Percy grinned broadly and wrapped his arms around Nico’s neck, pulling him into a kiss. “Because you love me and technically, legally speaking, I am an adult.”
“Twenty-four years old and yet whenever I leave you alone with Jace, you devolve into a four year old”, muttered Nico, wrapping his arms around Percy’s waist to pull him closer.
Alec all the while watched in utter fascination how Jace’s cheeks turned even darker at Percy’s first comment. “The… Christmas market? I’d… sure. I mean, I’m off at six today.”
“Okay. Okay, cool. I’ll… come and pick you up then”, nodded Jace with a broad smile.
That was… That was a beautiful smile. Alec blinked a couple of times as he just stared at Jace. The pretty blonde really wanted to go on a date with him? And here Alec had thought Christmas miracles didn’t exist. He couldn’t help himself but stare after Jace’s retreating form – his eyes drawn to Jace’s butt in those tight jeans. Definitely a miracle work there.
“I don’t think he’d mind if you’d climb him”, noted Percy as he noticed how Alec looked at Jace.
“Shut u—up, just once in your life, Jackson, shut up!”, groaned Jace and shoved Percy.
“What? Never, Herondale. Never!”, snickered Percy as they left the shop.
Nico sighed and shook his head as he slipped his hand into Percy’s. Percy and Jace had gone to school together and even though Percy and Nico had moved away from New York, they regularly came back – and whenever they did, Percy had to plan some 'Jace Time’ into his schedule. Usually, said 'Jace Time’ ended with Nico bailing his husband out. So that last night, the two had just returned home with matching pouts, it had really eased Nico’s nerves. This Alec seemed like a decent fella, which was exactly what Jace needed. Someone grounded, down-to-Earth, who would be able to reign him in just a little. His own Nico, as Percy liked to phrase it.

Hi! Could you please write 2. “Baby, you’re not a bother.” - “I’m too needy, you don’t deserve it.” for Jalec? Thanks a lot
Advent Calendar: Day 6
It had been exactly two months now since Jace had died. Alec still regularly lifted his shirt enough to check if his parabatai rune was still there. Having it disappear on him, even just for those few, terrifying minutes, was the worst experience in his entire life.
And even after they had broken the possession, it wasn’t just the same anymore. Jace had changed, fundamentally. The horrors he had gone through during the possession had left its mark. Killing those innocent mundies, nearly killing Alec and Imogen, killing Clary over and over again in his mind – and then losing Clary for good. It was a lot to deal with.
Sometimes, Jace would pull away from Alec. Guilt about nearly killing him. Feeling as though he was nothing but a burden for his parabatai. That Alec deserved better than him. He already had enough to do with being the head of the New York Institute, after all.
Nonsense. Alec hated that. He hated hearing Jace say that. He hated that Jace felt as though he had done nothing but burden Alec – all Alec wanted was to be there for his parabatai.
Shaking his head, Alec decided to call it a night. All his thoughts were derailed by his parabatai tonight anyway, might as well stop working and go to bed, hope for a couple peaceful hours.
Of course he couldn’t just head straight for bed. He passed the bell-tower on his way to his own room and maybe that was one of the reasons he had assigned Jace that specific room when Jace had moved back into the Institute. That and because it was the largest, most luxurious room – and his parabatai only deserved the best. The first time Jace had stepped in and seen that he had his own piano in there, that he wouldn’t have to use the public music room anymore, he had offered Alec the most blinding smile possible and it had made Alec’s heart stop.
He paused at Jace’s room, carefully opening the door and sneaking into the room. As expected, Jace was awake, laying on top of the sheets and blankly staring up at the ceiling. Alec sighed softly.
“You need to sleep, Jace”, pointed Alec out softly.
“Yeah. Sounds good”, grunted Jace flatly, not even looking at Alec.
With another sigh did Alec leave the bedroom again.
/break\
Jace’s eyes trailed after Alec when he left the room, longing evident in his gaze. They were… more now. They didn’t dare put a name to it, because naming it would mean acknowledging that they were breaking the Law, but ever since Jace had died, his priorities had slowly shifted. The potion Magnus had brewed for Lilith had been the nail in the coffin to Jace’s conflicting feelings. With his love for Clary completely erased, he could focus on the feelings he had for his parabatai, the feelings he had tried to run from by going for Clary. Alec had been his pillar, more so than ever before. But it just wasn’t fair on Alec, making him fuss over Jace all the time. Jace was seeking professional help from the Silent Brothers, he had spent three weeks there but then been deemed good enough to return to the Institute, though with bi-weekly therapy sessions. And for the most part, Jace was better. He just still had his dark days, his bad days. The days he felt like he was nothing but a burden for Alec and everyone else who cared for him.
“Here. I made hot chocolate. With mini-marshmallows.”
Jace frowned as he turned to look at his parabatai, who had returned with two mugs of steaming hot chocolate. Slowly, Jace sat up and made room for Alec. He took the two mugs from Alec, giving Alec the opportunity to reach for the fluffy blanket to throw it over them both and snuggle in.
“I’m sorry. It’s late, you should go to bed”, muttered Jace lowly. “I’m such a bother…”
“Baby, you’re not a bother”, stated Alec firmly and leaned in to kiss Jace’s temple.
“I’m too needy, you don’t deserve it”, sighed Jace, though he leaned into Alec’s embrace.
“You know, you don’t get to decide who or what makes me happy”, declared Alec, pulling Jace some closer. “A relationship means work and trust and being able to rely on each other, especially when things are… dark. That’s why my last relationship broke apart, Jace. And I don’t want to make the same mistakes with you. I’m willing to put the work in, I want you to be able to rely on me.”
“I am”, sighed Jace, sipping the hot chocolate and snuggling into the blanket. “But I feel like…”
“No”, interrupted Alec decidedly, burying his nose in Jace’s hair. “You’re there for me too. You support me, you stand strong at my side as my co-head. I find comfort in your arms when the cabinet meetings run too long and too exhausting. I love you, Jace, all of you, bad days included.”
Biting his lips, Jace slowly closed his eyes. “I love you too, parabatai.”
He missed the soft smile on Alec’s lips that he got at that. “How about we go to the city on our day off? I know you used to love the ice-ring they have this time of the year. It was one of the few mundie things you admitted to liking.”
“You hate ice-skating, Alec”, pointed Jace out, tugging the blanket closer around them.
“But I love seeing you ice-skate”, countered Alec with the smallest grin. “You’re beautiful and carefree. Some carefreeness would do you some good, mh?”
“Sounds… good”, whispered Jace. “But I gotta work tomorrow.”
“You know what’s the upside of having your boss be sweet on you? You get special treatment”, teased Alec playfully. “I’m pretty sure the head of the Institute can shift some things around and give you the day off.”
“We could… look for… Christmas presents?”, suggested Jace reluctantly, throwing his legs over Alec’s so he could tuck his feet under Alec’s thigh. “I still don’t have anything for Imogen and I need something that says ‘sorry I nearly stabbed you to death while I was possessed’.”
Alec snorted softly at that, carefully taking the now empty mug from Jace and adjusting the blonde so he was half-laying on Alec. The archer himself slowly slid down the headrest until he was actually laying on Jace’s bed, with the blonde tucked under one arm.
“Christmas shopping it is then, I suppose”, chuckled Alec. “But you know that getting to spend her first Christmas with her only grandchild is all she actually could wish for, right?”
Imogen knew what it had been the Owl and not Jace who had tried to kill her. She had never held it against him and considering Alec had been fast enough to find her before she could actually die, there were no lasting consequences. Aside from Jace’s guilt. When Jace didn’t answer, Alec checked just to see his parabatai had fallen asleep. Alec kissed Jace softly before going to sleep himself.
