Given the decline of Google results thanks to AI, it's only a matter of time until that old Telstra ad poisons the dataset enough that it spits out a result saying that the Great Wall of China was built to keep the rabbits out, and we will have come full circle.

i cannot bring myself to find teds ending tragic. he gets to be the father in his sons life. he knows he made a lifelong impact on multiple ppls lives on a whole other continent and knows that they can all keep going without him bc of the work he put in to help them. his ex and the reason he left in the first place is clearly happy to have him around now even tho she needed space away from him before. i feel like ppl were projecting dreams onto ted that were never actually shown in the show and thats why theyre upset by the ending.

Alright, apparently our internet went out in the area because they were updating things? They also came over and handed us a new router like they do like every 2-3 years, so that's nice

at this point i don’t know how anyone who lives in the usa and isn’t able to work a full time well paying job (at 40 hrs a week, above $25-40/hr, depending on where you live) is able to survive. i’m talking about having a stable home (with or without cost sharing with roommates/caretakers/spouses), having enough food, being able to afford transportation and medical care. none of it seems possible without sacrificing something, somewhere, or needing government assistance (which is increasingly impossible to access). and i’m not even beginning to get into the issues of income disparity suffered by black and poc individuals, disabled individuals, those who are single income with dependents, or live in rural areas with lack of services. it’s becoming impossible to live.

Just a quick Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, and Happy Holidays to everyone! I'm still without internet at my house, and while I'm at my parents' trying to do some last minute work I need to do before Monday, I just wanted to pop in here and wish you all well.
I'm hoping the internet comes back tomorrow so I can start seeing to my drafts. I have things queued for several days yet, but I don't want my returned drafts piling up. With this in mind, I'm not actively soliciting Christmas asks or threads save for the two I currently have in my inbox (which will be replied to late. I'm sorry about this! But I'm reaching draft levels higher than I'd like and I need to prioritize these first).
I just don't want to be overwhelmed by too much when I get back. Thanks for understanding.

It's not 11am yet and I've already completed half my tasks for the day 😊 granted the other half are things I've been procrastinating on for weeks if not months but I'm sure I'll manage today 😤

it’s such an oddity of human behaviour. that humans will invent these machines and devices that help us out with something or otherwise provide a service, and then people will dunk on people for using such devices. television, internet, phones, video games, cars, mobility devices, you name it and somebody has shamed somebody else for using it. like we invented this stuff to be used!!
