So I was looking at the manga to post this reply, and I noticed something about William’s eyes as he falls from the bridge. This could just be me reaching and looking for symbolism where there isn’t any but… what’s the point in being obsessed with something if you’re not going to make possibly wildly inaccurate interpretations of it, right?
When he cuts Sherlock’s arm (thoughts about that here), we see William’s left eye.
Then when he sees Sherlock jumping after him we see his right eye.
The left eye is the one we see when Sherlock is reaching for him: (this is also the last time we see William’s left eye until the Bench Scene)
And then we see the right when he catches him:
And it’s his right eye that we see close peacefully after Sherlock says they both need to live:
So it seems like his left eye symbolizes his desire to die, and his right eye symbolizes his desire to live. His left eye gets damaged, but he no longer wants to die and chooses to live on.

Keeping my mouth shut here and expecting absolutely nothing from Museblr. Expectations in the basement. In the gutter, even.

Because Tumblr sucks and apparently 7 pages worth of gushing over Trevor Belmont is too much for this site to handle, here's my rambling in a Google Doc.

Francesca is likely just another druid of the Emerald Enclave that Halsin knew of in his network of fellows, who just happened to be doing work/situated in the High Forest, but also consider Halsin may have known her when he lived there way back when.

Are antis alright??
I-
I love (sarcasm) the fact they only specified they're joking on the doxxing threat and not the literal "I will KILL" one. Priorities amirite?

also uh. this is part inquiry, part vent ? I know it's kinda shitty to be like "do you like my character ?" but now that I've gotten through more of act 2 and done the questlines involving the shadow-cursed lands... I honestly feel kinda silly. like.
knowing what happens with oliver / thaniel, as well as what is implied with arabella, I'm worried that shade is a little... redundant. I don't know. like. if people like her as a companion and the way I've built her lore that's good enough for me, I just. worry. and I worry that people may think I'm trying to replace those narratives. I don't know. it's hard to explain just how I feel. but mostly I feel silly. and worried.
probably overthinking it but. input would be most appreciated. honest input; I just want to know what people think / feel about shade in relation to the characters and lore we already have in the game, I guess. I am genuinely curious what people think.
edit: read the tags but also I should post a disclaimer, I know that if people didn't like shade they wouldn't be following or interacting with me. that's not the question I'm asking here. I'm asking for input on where she stands in the game canon lore, on what people think about that. I am honestly so, so thankful for the support and love I have received in writing shade. <3 I was not expecting this kind of love and interest, and I am grateful for everyone who has given her / me a chance !

wait does... does this mean that drunk peppino can say ily to pepperman as well? 🥺 i mean I'M STILL NOT SURE BUT... dear gods, that would be so sweet......
If pepperman was nearby at any time peppino got drunk then yes absolutely. Pepperman is weird and a bit of a freak (affectionate) but NICE (to him at least) and peppino will always remember nice people saying nice things about him 😊

ive talked in the past about keroro's desire to keep things as they are, static, because it's the only way he can have both keron and earth, but while rewatching ep140b I realized it shows the opposite side of this struggle
that no matter his efforts, it's a futile attempt and nothing is improving because everything is staying exactly the same. he spent a week racking his brain for a solution but the episode ends by showing us that he doesn't find one. could it be because the whole time he was fighting alone?
(his voice breaks in the first screenshot...) this to me feels like the same motivation he would have for invading. wanting to leave a mark, making something of yourself, mattering.
chibikero is in shadow, like the gunpla's shadow. he's not real anymore but he represents all the expectations and lost potential on his shoulders. while the small gunpla is in light like keroro. that's the reality of it. but that's also how he feels. small. he hasn't achieved any of his goals. he hasn't lived up to anything he said he would, everything he based his identity on. he's a "pitiful invader". his desire to matter perfectly encapsulates his abandonment issues too.
this collection will outlive him. it will speak of his greatness when he's gone. it's as much his identity as the invasion. it's also his tomb in the exact same way.
he's so happy for a moment organizing his whole collection on the shelves that he thought were gonna solve everything, enjoying the moment as it was, but in the end nothing changed.
is it because he's expendable? easily replaceable, like by a clone? is it because he doesn't see his own worth, so he has to get some (the keron star, his collection, the invasion)? because if he's not useful, he'll be thrown out? or because he doesn't want to be forgotten and left behind?
and yet
he remains insignificant and his fight is fruitless.

“don’t EVER use ceramics from before 1971, since they might contain lead in the glazes!”
listen
I check antique ceramics minutely for cracks, chips, glaze loss, crazing, pitting, etc. before ever using them, and only use them if everything is 100% intact
I check for telltale cloudy residue after washing them
I don’t put them in the fridge, dishwasher, or microwave
I don’t store food in them, or let anything acidic touch decorated areas of the dishes for long
I don’t use them as everyday pieces, much as I might long to. all my everyday china is modern and undecorated
I am an adult, almost 30 years old. I would never let a child eat or drink from antique dishware
I think, given the quantity of precautions I take, that I can be permitted to actually use tableware I also enjoy looking at every now and then. as a treat
