It's finally arrived, the MLM Ship Bracket Tournament has its match-ups!

For the anon asking about wlw ships, I understand completely their complaint but it’s not your fault! There really aren’t that many women in HP, unless you’re gonna drag up some background characters and then no one would vote for them. So please don’t feel bad about it or anything, it’s all you could do under the circumstances!!!

Yeah I understand that the nature of a vote on the most popular hp ships means there’s going to be a lack of wlw representation, doesn’t mean it doesn’t suck though

It’s probably a combination of limited female characters (like you said) and a general difference in attitudes towards mlm and wlw relationships, be that consciously or not

Also thank you for opening my eyes to the male:female ratio in harry potter!!! It’s always just felt very 60:40 to me which isn’t too bad really, but I had a look into the top 200 most mentioned characters in hp and it’s 135:65

Only 32.5% of hp characters are female (and this is a pretty comprehensive list- the 200th most mentioned character was Augusta Longbottom)

Plus only 5 out of the top 20 characters are female (and 2 out of the top 15) and those 5 are hermione, ginny, molly, mcgonagall, and umbridge- only really potential for 1 ship there 

Idk like obviously there should have been more wlw ships in the bracket. There should have been more wlw ships included without me having to make a conscious decision to do that. But you’re right they’re just not as popular wouldn’t have got many votes

It just sucks that’s all
