Gosh, it's almost as though the entire Predator franchise features the ongoing theme that the colonialist masculine power fantasy of roided up shirtless dudes with huge guns rocking up to hunt sapient beings as game and pose like they're the biggest bad immediately dissolves into a puddle of disgusting goo the instant a bigger bad arrives on scene, and that women are superior at dealing with this phenomenon bc they have spent their whole lives developing survival strategies with the awareness thanks to men that anyone can become prey at any time.

One odd critique of Predator: Killer of Killers that I’m seeing is people upset that the Predators “honor” feels hollow now, since they kidnap winners for future entertainment.

I would like to remind everyone that the Predators entire culture literally dehumanizes their targets. The first movie in the series has this high tech hunter kill people with invisibility, plasma weapons, shooting people in the back, and nuke the jungle when he lost. The second one had him attack an entire subway filled with civilians and slaughter them, and also try to nuke himself for losing. Prey literally compared them to colonizers!

What did y’all think “We kill to live, They live to kill” meant??

Their “honor” was bullshit the entire time. It was the equivalent of a man in tacticool equipment in a humvee talking about the honor of hunting the dangerous lion, while stroking an rpg launcher.

Humans are just a content farm for the Predators entertainment.

I have some weird attractions when it comes to men, honestly I thought the weirdest thing was being attracted to a Hybrid while his Hybrid visage was on display then it was masked murderers in horror movies and then I watched a Predator movie…then I watched all of the Predator movies…tell me why tf I’m attracted to Yautja?! Something I really like about the predator franchise is that all the names are very simple and still have something to do with the movie

Predator 1 : predator no the just predator

Predator 2 : predator 2 that makes sense it’s the second one

Predators : makes sense there’s more than one

The predator : since there is a big predator, I think it’s referring to that one as the predator i’m getting a movie, some leeway because of how bad it is

Pray : refers to the thing that the predator hunts and what it becomes at the end of the movie

Predator Killer of killers : the predators forced the humans to fight each other to see who is the killer of killers

Besides killer of killers and they yet to be released predator Badlands Has very simple titles to to their movies and the two that aren’t has rememberable names I love this franchise very much and I am very glad it didn’t end at the predator 2018
