This one got more exciting. I came down with the flu in september and was too tired to do much of anything, so I started trying a bunch of granny square patterns. Liked this one enough to do an entire blanket of them.
And that's three of three! Currently about 2/3rds of the way through my next one for Project Linus, and I'll post that when it's finished.

For all the knit, crochet, and quilt people out there, I wanted to let y'all know about a wonderful charity called Project Linus. They take donated handmade blankets and give them to children in hospitals. This is such a sweet idea and they have been doing it for 29 years. The blankets must be pet hair and smoke free and at least 36" x 36". You can find more info and local (United States) drop off locations at their website: projectlinus.org. I drop mine off at my local Joann fabric/craft store.

Here's one I'm currently working on and I'm really happy with how it looks.

Attention Project Linus Volunteers, Hospice Quilters and/or any other Charity Quilters or Crafters!
I have 8-10 large trash bags full of scrap fabric, fleece and notions and a huge box of batting available to donate.
The fabric is mixed. Meaning some cotton, some flannel, some knit, some polyester, some blends. Various size pieces from small to 1 yard. These are great for Fidget Quilts, Scrappy Quilts, Applique or other craft projects.
The batting is mostly a poly batting which is great for puffy quilts or using as stuffing.
These are all Free to any group(s) that make quilts for charity, you will just need to come and get them. (Marysville, WA) I can also ship a box or two anywhere in the USA if you pay the shipping.
If you don't do work for charity but are interested in the fabric or batting for your crafts to sell I am willing to sell you a box or two at $2.00 per pound. Just tell me how many pounds you would like and I will be happy to help.
If interested please private message me.

There’s this really cool organization that donates handmade blankets to children in need all across the US!
It’s called Project Linus! And there are chapters in all 50 states.
They accept crochet, knit, and quilted blankets. Even if you don’t know how to do any of these they accept no sew fleece blankets! And if you can’t make a blanket they accept material donations and monetary donations.
In my experience this can be a really great project for beginner crocheters. You can crochet borders around fleece blankets and donate those! For more experienced crocheters it’ll only take a few hours per blanket.

Just dropped these off at a local Project Linus site. It makes me happy to know they will go to a kiddo who needs a little bit of comfort.

Crochet Tapestry Action Square Pattern
Crochet Pow Action Tapestry Square Crochet Tapestry Action Square The Crochet Pow Square is part of my Action Packed Blanket designed for The Crochet Cruises for Fall 2017. I was inspired by vintage Batman when the cartoon letters of boom, smack and other sounds came across the screen. Pow Square is the same design as the basic square but using Tapestry Crochet techniques of crocheting with yarn…

Project Linus blanket I finished last month and started like two and a half blankets ago:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The pattern was interesting- it was a mix of double triple crochet interspaced with three rows of single crochet. really liked the texture. about a third of a way done with the next project linus blanket, and then I need to get to work on my dad's wife's grandkid's blanket- they're popping out in June and there's a granny square pattern I want to try for the blanket.

Soft kitties, warm kitties:)
@dollsonmain posted this adorable crochet kitty blanket a while ago and I knew I had to make one:) Grabbed some colors and got to work.
Tumblr media
Close up. The pattern is simple and works up quickly but it took me a long time to finish it as I ran out of yarn; silly me thought a skein of each was going to be enough lol. I couldn't find close enough color matches in store (most of my yarn is old stock people give me) but fortunately Sis was rearranging my yarn and discovered enough that I was able to complete it:)
Tumblr media
It's a bit larger than I intended (I meant it to be more toddler sized). I couldn't decide on a border color so used each color on one side.
This is an adorable blanket and I can't wait to make more!

Here we are, only one chapter left, until we move onto season 3.
That being said, exam season has me by the bawls, so for now everything is on hiatus, until I figure out how not to drown in uni work.

Crochet Web Square Pattern
Crochet Web Square Crochet Web Square The Crochet Web Square is for the Action Packed Afghan that is being crocheted for Project Linus on board The Crochet Cruises for Fall 2017. These squares are 18″ x 18″ using Caron One Pound Yarn. The web is a surface crochet that is applied when the square is done. The pattern has information about how to do that. I have included a tutorial demonstration on…
