2025 Simming Goals

Of course, I always have to set out some goals for the year, even if I was literally just talking about how last year's goals were too much, hahaha. This year I'd like to:

Complete the Veronaville summer round, and the accompanying story!

Complete the 8 Baby Uberhood Challenge, over on YouTube.

Make some progress on archiving my stuff over on katatty.com

Honestly, I think that is probably enough!! This year I am going to be actually modest with my goals, haha. It would be really cool if I have time for Spruceburg, Hollyhead and Driftwood, too, but I'm not gonna set myself up for failure by setting ambitous goals for those neighbourhoods as well - we'll wait & see what I have time for and what's most inspiring to me! <3

Getting the sense the other engineers who were concerned my job was too big for one person are very correct.

#this week: So go get the new line up and running 😁#this week actually: So the other Old line is falling apart and you need to be there to constantly plug the numerous holes #as it tries to fall apart around us #the upside is the new line is apparently not ready for set-up because the maintenance folks are also swamped #but a different tool finally came in so its not like i dont have another big project that i dont have time for!#meanwhile: Documents need updates and the back needs cleaning before the audit #and the whole place needs some serious maintenance/cleaning because its not had even One engineer dedicated to it for the last 5+ years #correction. it has 3 engineers none of whom lasted a year or had overlap #and when we Actually start running the second site? driving back and forth screaming the whole time #and of course QA has been auditing us for the last week which is there JOB I UNDERSTAND OKAY #THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME FIND THE GAPS THAT I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO FIX #i can do the 18 little things that pop up every hour or make an inch of progress on the big projects #WHY DID THE LAST ENGINEER NOT THINK ABOUT HOW WE WERE GOING TO ACTUALLY MAKE THE BATHS WHY-#anyway im stressed #but i have a trial ballet class tonight #deep breath its going to be alright

truly cursed to only have motivation to write these days during weeks when every second of my time is allotted and I'm still gonna end up behind by the end of it.

Now that I own a sewing machine, I think I better understand, like, backyard automobile maintenance hobbyists.

I opened up my sewing machine to do a bit of maintenance on it, just some cleaning and light oiling*. And it was incredibly satisfying--especially being able to hear and feel the difference after the cleaning!

I could see myself standing proudly next to my machine and boasting, "Boy she sure runs smooth now!" or whatever.

This sewing machine was given to me by my partner's mother (it was her spare after she upgraded).

Model: Brother CE8080PRW (Project Runway)

* I understand that this machine is not meant to be oiled by the user, according to the manual. I oiled it anyway.
