Headcanon:

If Buddy shops at hot topic, (assuming his costume was not because of his key) then Chase buys his clothes from a thrift store or the department store.

He rarely buys stuff and saves a lot of money since a large portion of his allowance goes to his mom (groceries and other gifts).
