Qommunity x Backstage Legal ADE Breakfast 2023

Op de vrijdag van het Amsterdam Dance Event organiseerden Backstage Legal en The Freelance Qommunity een brunch & learn meeting bij The Social Hub op de Wibautstraat. Na een weemoedige blik naar het gebouw links en na ons door de nodige regendruppels heen gewurmd te hebben, troffen we een gezellig club qollega’s aan die bij TSH zaten te co-worken.  Een zeer ontspannen en tegelijkertijd energiek…

im a sucker for hopeful endings and fucked up characters getting healed so tbh i hope qcellbit gets worst as much as everyone else but i hope he gets better after. i hope he looks back at the bridges he's burned and sees them being repaired by everyone. i hope they hand him his own crumbling pieces because every mental spiral has an end and if you cant see the light at the end of the tunnel that just means your friends arent done digging yet

im going crazy red teams literally winning by the sheer power of friendship (coordinating log in times, staying all together in vc, helping with recovering items, using the buddy system, making sure everyone has access to necessary items for global tasks) and none of the other teams are realizing it

It might be just me but their conversation got me thinking that someone breaking a record of getting kidnapped shouldn't be such a normal conversation for you to be having my peeps. Staying on the island has definitely skewed with their worldview of what's perceived as normal and now extremely absurd things have just been normalised to them. The contrast is just visible with Foolish, Jaiden and Etoiles talking in the bg about the quickest kidnapping and wanting to get kidnapped like the morning breakfast cause for them this has just become each Tuesday. However, Tubbo - a new resident - gets one whiff of their conversation and goes "what is wrong with you guys?".

And me as a viewer my first instinct was you just don't know Tubbo just you wait. But with thought that's me also becoming accommodated to the shit the Federation pulls. However, on second thought its obviously acceptable that they have just incorporated these traumas as their part and parcel of life cause what other choice do they have.

Bad worrying with Maxo over what to do if Forever starts being tyrannical only for Forever to talk to him a few minutes later about wanting BBH to help him create a democratic system so everyone can be satisfied

i love how quickly theyre putting together that forever's basically posessed/corrupted because they know and trust he wouldnt do any of this as himself.... HELP HIS ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s just like. q!Slime, a character who thinks he doesn’t have anyone, deserves nothing & is supposed to suffer alone, being faced with pure Love.

People want to know he is okay and being taken care of even if they don’t know him well. Even the mistakes he made out of grief in the past - people who were directly affected, like q!Bad, never held a grudge. they completely understand, and all they want to see now is Charlie healthy and prospering. Every person and egg on the island smiles and reaches out to help someone who needs it.

The same goes for q!Quackity, who thinks nobody cares, but has so many people who are worried for him. q!Forever who thought he was losing everything, but had friends to lean on that wouldn’t leave him. q!Jaiden who distanced herself in sadness and was welcomed back warmly with open arms.

It happens every time, because the people on this island say you don’t have to go through it alone, we will make sure to let you know that. You are still loved and a part of this family no matter what.

sometimes i wonder how different the fandom discourse wouldve been during the time period ordo theoritas was certain there was a federation spy. maxo and bad were theorizing it was cellbit, cellbit and bad were theorizing it was maxo, maxo and cellbit were theorizing that it was bad....it was so messy. once sofia was introduced to bad, it all died down (and bad didnt really gaf that it was kept a secret from him) but i still think, if it happened now, there wouldve been a LOT more fandom arguments regarding trust. back then, distrust and paranoia was seen much more as the norm.

You know, if the people giving Cellbit the mysterious messages were really an ally or wanted him to actually know what's going on, they'd give him actual info instead of vaguely threatening and demeaning notes. Like, "interesting performance"? That is basically reducing all of his fear, stress, and actions in the current circumstances to something they find amusing. Not to mention the last time they sent a note, it was clearly something they had to have known could (and did) get interpreted as blackmail/a threat towards Richas. Regardless if they are implying they are on the same side in terms of goals, they are not treating him as an equal in this situation and are purposely keeping him in the dark, likely in an effort to make him do things that would benefit their own end goals, which probably will not lead to the overall health and happiness of the islanders and eggs.
