Love ❤️ these videos where instructors have their clients on Wunda Chairs or Reformers performing the equivalent exercise on the freeFORM Board.
In this video, these clients on the freeFORM Board will be working harder because they have to control and steer their device as it has no tracks to guide it. They don’t have any springs to slow down the eccentric phase or to assist the concentric phase and there is nothing but their own bodies to limit the end of range of motion.
This is why I came up with the tagline “Work Your Inner Springs” meaning your movements on the freeFORM Board are controlled by your neuromuscular, proprioceptive and myofascial systems…not externally by the device itself.
Of course “more” isn’t always better and we also use Velcro secured bands with the boards to provide external support or in some instances offer more concentric resistance to the movement.
Also, Reformers offer so many other features like the ropes or cables and the fact that you can lie your whole body on them.
The point of the comparison is to observe and experience the differences, pros and cons of different tools and use them to master your “first instrument” which is the control and mastery of your own body.
