What do you mean HTTYD is 15 years old... I still remember when I got the pirated version from the chinese market and I had watch weekly Hiccup and Toothless in 360p‚ the trailers were in the TV and mcdonals toys were abandoned in the streets.

my number one weirdest talent has to be knowing by heart all abbreviations of spanish public universities
#i should go to a contest to try and guess all or something#i have other similar ones but they're more boring#i know all the us states and where they all fit (i'm not from the US)#i can do this with more countries but i'm only confident with the us and my own (spain)#i think i can also do it with canada australia italy and maybe germany and france?#i know like a lot of geography stuff that is ultimately inconsequential but it's fun in quiz games i guess (i've never been to a quiz night#my first weird one i think has to be the fact that since i was like 14 i know all the alphabet and its numerical equivalence by heart#like i see a 12 and my brain will go 'L'#a 17? that's Q baby#i could theoretically write everything in numbers and understand it which i think it's fun#albeit useless#anyways i'm gonna go back to studying now#sorry for this it's the coffee speaking not me

#personal#something i will now think about when coughing#this is from the cask of amontillado by poe btw#i want to organise a little halloween contest at work where i quiz people on three scary short stories#and i'm looking for stories that are not too gruesome while still being a bit spooky#i also need them to be in the public domain/legally and easily accessible for free online#the two stories i decided on so far are the lottery by jackson and oh whistle and i'll come by m. r. james#(side note i really enjoyed the james story but i don't get why it's on so many best scary stories lists - it has a lot of goofy parts#and i can't get over the audacity of starting a story with a piece of dialogue followed by 'said a person not in the story')#(the whole thing feels so tongue in cheek/horror comedy-esque to me that the genuine fear it seems to elicit in people confuses me)#(side note side note i suddenly can't stop reading m. r.
