Creation Wings
Website: https://www.creationwings.com/
Address: Kansas, USA
"Creation Wings"" is run by Will and Amy Zinke, both have been avid naturalists since childhood. With their family of four children, they have traveled extensively and love to display breathtaking, interesting, and sometimes bizarre oddities ranging from giant beetles to fossilized remains of extinct creatures.
Each display is a work of art; exquisitely mounted and professionally framed. Amy's favorites are the butterfly displays always on rotation here! Welcome, and please return regularly for some different form of ""God's Art"", displayed creations from the Greatest Artist! Our goal is to glorify Jesus Christ, our Creator and Redeemer, who made these wonderful creatures!
Why Choose our Butterfly Displays?
Why not consider a butterfly as a gift? They are preserved in an air tight frame that will last indefinitely, unlike flowers that fade after just a few days. They represent the grandeur and glorious diversity of creation, reflecting the mind of their Creator. Did you know butterflies are the ancient symbol for transformation, resurrection and new life? [""Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.."" II Corinthians 5:17] What better gift for a wedding, graduation or a new arrival! And the best reason, they're gorgeous!
Our displays are not the usual ""riker"" mounted box [unless noted] but professional top quality artistic frames/shadowboxes with acid-free backing or double glass. All are air-tight and specially treated to deter pests. We only use quality acid free mattings. Many displays are re-fitted fancy oil painting frames or decorative picture frames to give an antique or Victorian feel. Others are more modern, streamlined styles. Whatever your tastes are, be assured that you are purchasing a high quality display that will compliment [not distract from] the incredible beauty of the specimen. Every display is painstakingly put together, usually taking many hours to get it just right![Satisfaction guaranteed!] If you would like more photos of a particular display, please ask and we will be glad to send you some. Custom orders are welcome, but will cost a bit more…
You are also helping to conserve the world's rain forests. All of our species are legally acquired through domestic importers, and were raised on ""butterfly farms"". These farms give incentive for indigenous peoples to conserve the remaining rain forests for future profit instead of destroying them for present but temporal gain. All of our butterflies are ""A"" quality [""End of Life"" or ""Ex- Pupa""]. {Satisfaction guaranteed!}
Why a Victorian Theme?
Many of our displays have a Victorian theme in their appearance. The European Victorian Era {1837-1901} was a time of great exploration and discovery. Naturalists traveled to distant and exotic lands, bringing back strange and amazing stories and even stranger specimens of all kinds of new animals and plants. Insects were in vogue, and museums would pay high prices for a new or rare species. Grand collections in display halls would bring many visitors to view and gawk at the weird beetles or giant butterflies. We want to bring back a sense of that wonder on our website, so a greater awe for God and His beautiful creation can be shared with others!

For the caress ask, how's about sfw for Blue!!
Send me   ‘ caress ‘  + a body part for my muse’s reaction to yours caressing them there
Thank you for remembering Blue!! <3
----
Blue only trusts one human at the sanctuary. She is there every day, checking on him, bringing him meals, sitting and talking to him.
So when that day she doesn't show up, Blue is instantly on edge. Though swimming strains the muscles in his healing tail, he spends more time out in deeper water, away from the other humans who volunteer there.
"Come on. You have to eat!"
He recognizes the volunteer currently pacing the shore with a net full of freshly caught fish. They're here often and seem to be well liked by the other beings staying in the sanctuary...and by his human.
Blue is growing hungry and doesn't know how much longer he can stay afloat. He reluctantly swims ashore, most of his strength giving out by the time he slides up onto the sand.
"Did you hurt yourself again?"
The new human runs over and goes through the routine checks that his human always does. Blue allows this, and even lets them help him sit up and lean back against a rock.
"I picked you the biggest ones." They sit down beside him just like his human always does. "I hope in return if you find anything cool down there you'll show me, yeah? Like a sword or a megalodon tooth..."
Blue warily takes the fish and looks it over but sees nothing wrong with it, so he digs in. The human crosses their legs and scoots down to his tail to continue his check-up.
"You're real tense. Especially here..."
Their hand caresses over a particularly bad knot in the muscle of his tail. A moment of soreness and then a little burst of relief, and the merman hums contentedly.
"Yep right there..."
They continue making that same motion, stroking gently but firm down that part of his tail. The tension alleviates quickly and Blue lets out a breath, relaxing back against the rock...
He doesn't know how long he dozes but when Blue abruptly wakes it's to the ripples of the water against him as the human stands. His tail barely hurts anymore. The human gives it a friendly pat.
"Thanks for not smacking me with this," they say with a wink. Blue glares, but they both know he has a reputation.
Blue makes a hand symbol he and his usual human use to say 'stay still'. This human recognizes it as well and immediately stills.
"Is there something you need?"
The merman makes the gesture again: stay still, even more emphatically. She always understands...it's the closest way he knows how to communicate stay with me. I don't want to be alone.
The new human watches closely as Blue makes the symbol a third time. Maybe his face finally says what he can't, because they suddenly understand.
"Really? Wow...okay."
Clearly pleased, they drop the empty net aside and sit beside him again.
Breathing above water still takes a lot out of him, and Blue starts to drift down to lay beneath the surface. Usually when he does this his human combs her fingers through his hair, a comforting gesture for his kind. She isn't here, but...
The merfolk equivalent of fuck it crosses his mind and he bumps his head against their hand until he gets what he wants. Remaining submerged, he closes his eyes and leans his forehead against the human's leg.
Blue only trusts two humans at the sanctuary.

Field Trip to the Field Museum (Chicago, IL)
Hello! I recently went to the Field Museum, and I decided to write a little self-insert imagine fic where the reader is an age regresser and the author is their caregiver. I really liked doing this, so I’ll probably do it again next time I go somewhere fun! 😊 All pictures were taken by me, and there are two temporary exhibits that have only one picture each to respect that they aren’t permanent features of the museum. Also, heads up, this includes pictures of dinosaur bones, taxidermied animals and a brief, simple discussion about mortality. Under the cut ‘cause it’s a long post. Hope you enjoy! 😁
Tumblr media
You’re right, sweetheart! There it is! Are you excited?
Oh, no, don’t worry, we’re not driving away. We just have to go around the museum to park. And that gives us time to listen to another song! What should we listen to?
Tumblr media
My goodness, I always forget how big it is! What do you think, sweetheart? I know, it’s very busy today. Do you want to sit for a minute? Okay, but if you need a break, you can always tell me.
Alrighty, why don’t we look at the elephants? I know, they’re so big! Hm, I think the elephants would be a good meeting spot. So if we lose each other, we can both go to the elephants and find each other again. I know you have your phone, sweetie, this is just to be extra safe. I know, I know, I’m a silly worry-wart. Okay, where should we go first?
Tumblr media
Ooh, we’re gonna learn all about sea creatures! Some of them are still swimming around in the ocean, and some of them are extinct like the dinosaurs. Oh, you’re right, my little smarty. The ocean’s so deep, we don’t know for sure what’s down there. But we THINK these creatures are extinct. I wish this great big salamander was still around, though. He’s so cool! Oh my goodness, look at this tooth! It came from a megalodon - the biggest shark that ever existed! How much do you think the Tooth Fairy would give her for one? Ha, this is a little funny. This little manta ray is extinct, but this great big one still lives in Australia. Usually it’s the little ones that are still around! And these horseshoe crabs are the same way! Now, what’s this? Oh my goodness, it’s a colossal squid tentacle! We’re lucky, very few people get to see one in real life. Ah, looks like this is the end. That was so interesting!
Tumblr media
Are you sure you want to go to this exhibit? I mean, you already know all your colors, right? Oh, oh no, it’s okay sweetheart, I’m only teasing, don’t cry- Hey, where did those tears go so quickly? Were you teasing ME? Oh, you silly thing!
Look at all this beautiful red! So many red animals and red plants, just gorgeous… Ooh, and these orange things… I think I like this yellow area the best. It makes me feel like we’re out in the sun! Oh, you like the green? It DOES look like a forest, you’re right! But blue is still my favorite color - look, tiny little robin eggs! And the purple is just beautiful… Is that the end of the exhibit? Whoa! Ultraviolet? Really? Look, sweetheart, the black light is making the white parts of my shirt glow! Isn’t this cool? Here, press this button! You see, the scorpion is a dark color, but he glows white in ultraviolet light! I changed my mind, THIS part is my favorite! Over here there’s black, and white, and black and white together! And- oh my goodness, look at these rainbow colors!
Oh, that was amazing! I’m glad you picked it, sweetheart, I liked it very much.
Tumblr media
Look how high up we are! Maximo could give you a kiss right on the nose if he wanted to! Are you having fun? I’m glad.
Tumblr media
Oh, so cool! A little scary, too… Are you doing okay? Oh, I know you’re brave, sweet thing. Even brave people get scared sometimes. I bet even dinosaurs could get scared! Oh, not this one? Maybe. He does look pretty fierce, huh?
Tumblr media
Ooh! The Apatosaurus swallowed the rocks and they helped digest his food! But that wouldn’t work for you, would it? So the rocks better stay out of your tummy! Yes, if you were a dinosaur it would be okay… Of course I’d still love you if you were a dinosaur!
Tumblr media
Look how cloudy the city is! I’m glad we’re not outside right now. But maybe we’ll visit the city on a sunnier day. Would you like that?
Tumblr media
This is my favorite dinosaur! I’m not sure why, actually. It’s not the biggest or the strongest or the scariest, but I still think it’s really cool. It’s got a funny name - think you can say Parasaurolophus? And scientists think it used the crest on its head to make noise! Do you have a favorite dino, sweetheart?
Tumblr media
There she is! Sue’s one of the best T-Rex fossils ever found! Pretty cool, huh? We know from the bones that a lot of stuff happened to her - she got hurt a lot. But she was a fighter! Just like you, right? Here, lemme take your picture with her!
Tumblr media
I think this is my favorite part of the museum. This is where the stuffed animals are- yeah, like your plushies! Only these are REAL animals, not cotton and fluff. They used to be alive, and now they aren’t. You’re right, it is kind of sad. But it’s also kind of happy too. These animals help scientists learn new things, and artists come from all over to draw them and paint them, and everyone who visits gets to see how amazing they are. It’s sad that they’re dead, but it’s happy to think about when they were alive. Are you ready to go in?
Tumblr media
You’re right, they’re deer! Just like we see sometimes when we’re driving! The papa deer is watching for predators while the mama deer helps the baby find food. They take good care of their baby, don’t they?
Tumblr media
Oh my goodness! It’s a good thing your teddy isn’t that big. There’d be no room in the bed for you! You’re right, he does look cuddly. But if we saw a bear like him walking around, we wouldn’t get this close. Because bears are very strong, and they might hurt us if we got too close. Oh no, it’s not mean, sweetheart. The bear wants to protect himself. He doesn’t know how nice we are. Well, giving him food wouldn’t be the best idea either… It’s okay, sweetie. Sometimes the nicest thing to do is give someone their space.
Tumblr media
Wow, I always forget that moose are this big! Moose? Mooses? Hm, I’m not sure what to call more than one. What do you think?
Tumblr media
Look at that bear cub riding piggyback! Isn’t that silly? And you’re right, the big bear’s face is silly too! What do you think he’s eating? Maybe bugs? No, not “ew”, it’s good for the bear. Everyone needs to eat, and sometimes they eat things that are a little different. No big deal.
Oh, speaking of eating, I’m hungry! What about you?
Tumblr media
We can eat right next to the animals. Now, let me get the food out… Sweetheart, stay over here please. I know you want to look at the seals, but you’re going to get crumbs on the floor! We can look at them after we eat, okay? Thank you, sweetie.
Tumblr media
Alright, it’s about time to leave. I know, honey, I’m having fun too! But the museum will be closing soon - and you look like you could use a nap. I promise we’ll come back again soon, alright? Yes, pinkie promise. Okay, let’s go, sweetheart.

Found a local rock shop out of someones garage today. The owner had a real love for all things earthy and wildlife :D
Tumblr media
Side note, the crows skull is carved from a stone called "Yooper rock" which is a stone only found on the upper peninsula of Michigan. When you shine a UV light on it, it glows orange :)
They even had a Megalodon tooth that I'm seriously tempted to go back for!

Little Known Facts About Authentic Fossil Megalodon Shark Teeth - And Why They Matter
So, in order to begin with, let's first understand what is a megalodon shark's teeth. If compared to a modern white shark tooth, the megalodon tooth is on the darker side of the badge-shaped zone near the roots.
Tumblr media
They are in appearance to other white shark teeth because they come in a triangular and symmetrical shape. To hear from the basic fossils are a kind of geological remains of once a living being. They are also found buried in the sand, mud or nearby lake or sea areas.
Megalodon is one of the largest fish that ever existed; they happen to be a kind of ancient shark that lived approximately 3.6-3.8 million years ago.
How do you identify a real megalodon tooth? One of the distinct features of such a tooth is that the left side is a bit peeled off, while the one on the right side is a bit smoother.  You can get this kind of tooth in the nearby areas of the gulf beaches, in and around Venice and Florida.
Ideally the original piece of tooth would be between 6.5-7 inches. A real megalodon tooth will have some imperfection, and the colors would also not be even in all the parts. At the same time, the duplicate one will be smoother and has one even colour white completely on it.  Also, if you get a chance to feel it, you will find it to be on the cooler side compared to a duplicate one.
How to identify the Authentic Fossil Megalodon Shark Teeth?
·         Size- In order to check the size of the megalodon teeth, it is always advisable to measure it diagonally.
·         Condition of the tooth- The pricing of the tooth depends on its size and condition of it. The tooth which has any kind of loopholes will be a lesser price than the one which has no loopholes into it.
·         The location from where it is collected- Location plays a very vital role. To a collector, the location from where the tooth is carried matters a lot.
Aside from these few factors mentioned above, there are many more factors inclined to check the authenticity of the tooth.
Now let’s check where we can put Fossil Megalodon Shark Teeth for sale
Online- It is one of the common ways by which we can get them. You can also get the best deals in some of the commonly used websites only meant for buying/ selling these items.
In-Person – It can also be purchased from a known and genuine person dealing in such kinds of items.

(1) My most recent treasures from the East Coast! I set my intentions before I go each trip and this was a very fun lesson of being specific when you intend and I am going to share it because the lesson is powerful and I feel, for everyone to hear. Those who hang around me know I'm like a needle stuck on a best hits track when it comes to my explaining manifestation and intention 🌺 It is just so important and a lot of humans still don't seem to grok...(yet). In my excitement, I let my chanting, intention and focus go broad on the drive to one of my favourite locations. It was energized and I felt it on several levels, which is always a blast and it ramped me up for my hunt! 🔮 Instead of envisioning or calling in very specific big teeth by species or inches, especially a Meg - because let's be real, that's what we are all seeking out there 🦈 - I called in lots of teeth and also added some extra vibes for Megalodons and ancients, but it was an extra additional intention, not the main intended focus. Even though it was essentially what I desired to be calling in, I got caught up in my rhythm and loved what I was vibing so I went all in with what I had called in during my drive instead of shifting anything. Plus, I was almost there by then. My hunt began. A solitary, sunshining, beautiful day. A heron bird sign when I arrived 🪶 It took an hour before I even began finding the tinies, then a few larger pieces unveiled themselves. My excitement began to rise! Totally immersed in the wake and sand, a man comes around the corner and announces himself with a hello! It scared the lights out of me, but I laughed and we began chatting. (It is rare to encounter others out there) He has a massive tooth tattooed on his upper arm. Ha! (He was the biggest tooth I saw that day and ended up gifting me something amazing = A part of my broadened intention/manifestation) His girlfriend came around the bend a moment later and we all shared our finds of our lifetimes and talked fossils. (Good gods how I love these types of organic, life encounters!) https://www.instagram.com/p/ChQBHIQv1bt/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

So are you going to tell us about the giant hyperpredatory sperm whales or do I have to go google some nightmares myself?
we’re all familiar with the Sperm Whale of our modern seas, largest of the Toothed Whales! it’s also completely specialized for eating squid and squid ONLY, a comfort to anyone who’s ever managed to get just a bit too close to those enormous razor jaws.
Tumblr media
but this was very much not always the case! the earlier members of the Sperm Whale lineage were much less... discerning.
early Sperm Whales all resembled our friendly modern swimming school bus to some degree, but the main difference was in the jaws- early Sperm Whales like Acrophyseter and Zygophyseter all had wide, powerful jaws with ENORMOUS teeth suitable for snacking on fish, dolphins, aquatic sloths, and pretty much anything else they could fit down their enormous gullets, kind of like a modern Orca.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and from 12 to 7 million years ago, these things RULED the seas. Megalodon who?
Tumblr media
but the greatest of these was Livyatan Melvillei, which was the size of our modern Sperm Whale.
Tumblr media
reaching up to 60 feet long and weighing well over 60 tons, it this thing was a Sea Monster in every sense of the word.
Tumblr media
it is so BONKERS huge that they named it after the Hebrew name for the Biblical Leviathan (and also Herman Melville, who would have gotten a real kick out of it). I cannot overstate how unsafe it would be to share an ocean with this thing. Moby Dick would have been an entirely different book if it was still around.
so what does a 60-feet hyperpredatory whale eat?
*Groucho Marx voice* WHY, ANYTHING IT WANTS.
(but mostly other whales.)
Tumblr media
Livyatan spent most of its time cruising around looking for delicious smaller whales to shove into that nightmare maw up there, a lifestyle choice we call macroraptorial. though in a pinch, anything else would also do.
(basically, if you were a mid-sized baleen whale in the paleozoic seas you were just SHIT out of luck, between Megalodon and this thing.)
Tumblr media
Livyatan may have died out as little as 5 million years ago, meaning it might even have been around to make the early ancestors of Orcas regret their life choices! (Livyatan is the only animal that could possibly make an Orca regret anything, but God, at what cost)
Tumblr media
but die out they did, and that’s probably a good thing for us. why don’t we all just take a moment to really appreciate our modern hyperspecialized Sperm Whales, especially the part where they don’t eat us!

In honor of my newfound love for Mermay, have a silly little piece I whipped up for the TFA mermen/mermechs (???) & on oc of mine.
Details: Megaladon Megatron (Megalatron) [TFA], feeding time, fem!oc, 'do no harm, take no crap' type lady, prosthetic limb, depictions of gore/severed animal limbs & pieces, bodily harm to protagonist, mermech x human (sort of). Research done with Google.
The mighty Megalodon, whose name translates to "big tooth", was once thought to be an extinct species of mackerel shark that lived 23 to 3.6 million years ago, from the Early Miocene to the Pliocene epochs. It was formerly believed to be a member of the family Lamnidae & a close relative of the infamous great white shark. I am living proof that the whole extinction thing is a load of rotten chum with the missing left arm to prove it.
Oh, don't worry! I have a new one, it's multi-functional, waterproof, & ultra-durable; made out of reinforced, repurposed Galvanized Steel a generous Lab member in the construction field of this enormous enigma of a foundation we (the other thousands of workers & myself) were all brought to as a sort of league of expandable brought in from too many places to name. It's almost like having my old arm back.
Almost. I'm fairly sure I gave the clerk a fright when I said, not asked, said I'd be back to working with that Mackrel whether anyone or thing wanted me to or not. -
I hauled a large bovine leg from the bin & attached a titanium cable thicker than my wrist before lobbing it far into the considerably sized tank; manually reeling the still bleeding limb from where it landed to my perch that had been reinforced upon my little incident. Cute. I felt a soft tug on the other end, signaling that he had taken the bait, before yanking it out of the soft grip to speed back to me.
Daunting blobs of near featureless reds glared in vexation at first, quickly shifting to confusion, then to a sort of malicious smug shape as their owner crept up from his artificial tarn's depths with a low sound of amusement.
"Ah~, my snack has returned. What a surprise." Whetted tongue sliding over many honed fangs, his smug vocals didn't retreat or falter from bouncing off of the walls as I yoinked the B/W piece of beef from his stalking claws to untie it, taking a moment to speak smugly myself.
"Is it though? The surprise? I had to have been assigned to you for one reason or another & you know it. Just like every other worker down here & upstairs. Did you think they'd hire some little girl to look over your wellbeing, Mega Mackeral?" He hates that name; it mocks his species & his real name, Megatron. I know that. I didn't care about his feelings right now.
'Upstairs' is a public, civil aquarium where the far smaller, far safer merfolk are in view of visitors. This, like every other place in the town-sized compound, is also where those who are paired with the appropriate aquatic partner(s) via three tests; intelligence, endurance, & psychology. As you can guess, the score & answers determine who the person(s) would be paired with & who they'd be kept away from. Simply put, it's an Aquarium Staff Aptitude Test.
A lot of people were so sure they'd work with the stars of the show & not the darkness they gleam against. I was not one of them. I didn't hope to be above or below, just needed a job to keep myself busy & somehow ended up getting this guy. I guess my newfound persistence & patience drew a new line for him to cross.
"You are unlike any handler I've ever had in all my time within this wretched penitentiary, yet I've never learned your name." By now he was close enough to the catwalk for me to make out his many well-earned scars & the dots that are colored just a shade or two darker than his main shapes that made up his 'pupils'. That's right, I've never told him my name.
That explains the nicknames he's been calling me. 'Sardine', 'Fry', 'Guppie', 'Pup', 'Chum', all those & more that I can't remember the rest right now. Honestly, I thought he was flirting with me until he literally took a bite out of me.
The meat slips into the water & into his awaiting maw as I activate the claw clamp function to haul a thicker piece of cattle into my titanium clasp with a huffy chuckle. Imagine that; one of the biggest, badest predators currently known to the marine field flirting with his equivalent of an horderve on legs. Preposterous. I won't be so foolish this time, no matter how smooth his voice is on the surface; there are many undertows to be wary of.
"The names Aveta Ceres Eleftheria, but everyone calls me ACE." I toss the next piece in just as he caught it between his claws with an intrigued drone, examining it while speaking with an eloquence nobody I know of aside from myself or that Magnus guy upstairs.
"Goddess of fertility, freshwater, & childbirth. Goddess of the harvest & spring. Goddess of freedom & liberty. All very befitting, Miss Eleftheria." His words are decadent & alluring with the undertow's pulls worsening with each passing syllable. How many mates could he have reeled in before coming with only his voice as bait!? No matter.
"That means a lot coming from someone whose name translates to 'Great Machine'. Greek prefixes & suffixes must be a hobby of yours, huh?" His chuckle reverberates through the tank, the metal of the wrap-around catwalk, & my ribs, earning a suppressed sound of amusement from myself.
Time crept by as he munched on his assortment of meats & I filled out some paperwork regarding his meal, types of meat given & when they were given to him, his estimated weight, & so on. A questionnaire of health questions evolved into inquiries about my life with the new limb & how I'm adapting to it, how others reacted to it so far, eventually moving into philosophical pondering. Everything from the vastness of the universe to minuscule subjects like favorite foods or people.
It seemed like he was baiting a trap with honey & he thought of me as a mindless fly buzzing up to collect it. How amusing. Before he could spring his possible surprise, I stand & collect everything I needed before boarding the lift to return to the floor where I roll the cart out the door with my prosthetic limb's steady grip keeping it from slipping away or hitting the back of my company approved shoes.
Giving the clipboard of questions a light adjustment under my innate, stitched up, inked limb, I turn & wave with my metal appendage, flashing a smile almost as bright as the light bouncing off of my limb to highlight his eyes as if his last name were 'Gomez'. The walk filled with chores was pleasantly easy & laced with satisfaction from seeing that look on Mega Mackerel's face. Not a bewildered or stunned look; intrigued. I wonder how long I can go without replacing another part of me~.
Thank you guys for reading my first Mermay piece! I hope you enjoyed it!

Do you know some cool facts about the T-Rex Sue? I know a little and I love her
Tumblr media
It's Wikipedia entry really is the best source of information about it that I know. I don't honestly know anything about Sue that isn't already in there.
It was named after Sue Hendrickson, who found it basically by a fluke. She found it while doing some exploring as she waited for a flat tire to be fixed.

Life sized model of Sue, by the folks from Blue Rhino Studio.
Tyrannosaurus Sue is 90% complete, but fell into possession of fossil profiteers (i don't know if Hendrickson was one them, or if she's a legit paleontologist), and after a long legal battle, was sold at auction for $8 mill. While Sue had a good outcome, other just as remarkable specimens like Tyrannosaurus Stan haven't been so lucky. Stan was claimed by a privet collector and to my knowledge, hasn't been studied or seen since.

Green highlights are Sue's real bones. It's skull is displayed seperately (source: Wikipedia)
I didn't know when I'd made that one infamous post that they'd decided what they thought was a broken but healed leg bone, was probably actually abnormal bone growth from an infection of some kind.
A big part of why Sue is so beloved in the paleontology community is precisely because it was rescued, and the contrast between Sue and Stan really highlights the evils of fossil profiteering.*
*Buying and selling of fossils isn't necessarily bad. But there are things that are okay, and things that are flat out wrong. There are millions of ammonites, trilobites, and megalodon teeth. The stray unknown dinosaur tooth, claw, or vertebrate isn't going to effect anything (I have a few fossils myself, including a full mosasaur vertebrate, and a spinosaur tooth). But every skeleton (even partial) almost certainly adds something to the puzzle that is that animal. Even if the fossils themselves add nothing new, everything around them can be just as critical, because it tells the story of the environment that animal lived it, which in turn tells us more about it.
