Just finished Aristotle and Dante Dive into the Waters of the World and I loved it!!!
Spoilers underneath
This part broke my heart
And god I just had a feeling that Emma's son died of AIDS when she talked about him in past tense and when reading the poem like wow (also when they went back to her and she was reading the newspaper and the headline was about AIDS)
Ari's mum here was just hilarious, and I am so glad that Susie and Gina accepted them 😭
Don't wanna talk about it cause it honestly came out of the blue for me but rest in peace Jamie😔🙏 god I cried for like 15 minutes non stop I was so heartbroken
The world exists in such a baffling state of simultaneous sex-aversion and sex-hegemony. Every social platform on the internet is trying to banish sex workers to the shadow realm but I can't post a tweet without at least two bots replying P U S S Y I N B I O. People are self-censoring sex to seggs and $3× but every other ad you see is still filled with half-naked women. Rightwingers want queer people arrested for so much as existing in the same postal code as a child and are also drumming up a moral panic about how teenage boys aren't getting laid enough. I feel like I'm losing my mind.
I’ve honestly missed these nights so much. Doing 300 + covers, sweating, working my absolute favorite station. And still in all this happiness and excitement…I look to the space now empty where you once stood. I still turn to tell you about my day and then ask about yours.
