I didn't want to bloat the original post up with all of this(it's a lot) and it took way longer than I expected! Sorry I've been so strapped for time recently, balancing life (and ironically—death, unfortunately) but I've finally found some time to include some additional information about the newly released (December- Friday the 13th!!) Reaper's Wardrobe Collection, which by the way, you've all been SO sweet and kind and receptive to, thank you eternally 🥺💗 Below is some additional information if you're interested, just because one, I'm a certified yapper, but also I like to include that with my cc when I can <3 Please, if you use these items for your sims, TAG ME!! I would seriously be so happy to see how you use them 😍

Lamplight Dress (+Glowy Version) and Final Layer Accessory Lingerie

A sensual little number that will draw them in like a moth to the lamplight. This versatile dress comes in a variety of swatches, including even sheerer options for when you really want to turn up the warmth. You can pair it with the Final Layer Lingerie—a maxis match accessory lingerie set found in the glove category—or any other accessory underwear to layer and customize your look.

Yes, it's the one and only deathflower, now wearable! Meshing this as a beginner almost sent me over to the other side, but I'm happy to say that with the help and support of my lovely husband, I got through it. Which I'm grateful for, because I needed this in my game. Available for ages kids and up, and comes in 9 swatches.

Death Grip Ear Cuff/Eternal Whispers Earrings

Embrace the whispers of the beyond with the Death Grip Ear Cuff and Eternal Whispers Earrings. This one can be a little finicky. So because of how the UV_1 maps work, there doesn't seem to be a reasonable way to make the ear cuff move along with the ear slider, at least that I'm aware of. So the best we can do is to remove the ear cuff entirely or shape your sims ear to work with the cuff. I know, not ideal, sorry :( It was created with ear preset 1 in mind, but you might be able to mold your own ears with some sliding around.

The set is designed to be worn either together, or separated. The cuff (a metal skeleton hand) can technically be worn with other earrings, but due to texture constraints, most textures conflict. Although not all results look bad so definitely feel free to play around and make some happy mistakes!

Whimsical Wings Knit Sweater

A little flutter of quaint, a little flutter of spooky— What started out as an attempt to convert the Life and Death one for toddlers into a kids version, but ended up basically recreating it. However, there are a few more cute swatches special for kids that fit the theme. 16 swatches in total.

First Grimpressions Zip Up Onesie

For the little reapers in training— This cozy zip up onesie is perfect for jammies, costumes, or playtime, and is available for both toddlers and children. Although children get a few extra bonus dingy social bunny swatches reminiscent of the social bunny from ts2. The rest are reaper and "freezer-boney" themed.

Grimborn Onesie

My pride and joy :’) this is one of the first ones I started working on, a little hooded onesie subtly shaped like death himself. Many of the swatches feature an embroidered crow with the daintiest little heart, but throughout the rest of the 8 swatches you'll also find little wings, a skull, and and a freezer-boney.

Reaper Sleepers

How could your days ever be grim when you have these adorable little reapers bouncing around with you each step you take? These were what started this whole project, honestly. I was making a few things for Norvis, and obviously he needed a pair of house slippers, being a middle-aged son of the Grim Reaper, obviously. That's when I decided it might be fun to not only share them, but make this into a whole collection— then it snowballed from there. They're not the most perfectly meshed items, but I think that gives them some character ^̮^

Robes Of Respite

Just the Life and Death Employee Reaper Robes, but with no hood, because sometimes we all need a breather. I did tighten the rope around the waist a bit so your sims can show off that figure when they're reaping someone's soul and dragging them away to the unknown. I also enhanced the textures a bit and added a bonus dark swatch. One for Male frames and one Female.

Prep Me Pumps

Just a cute pair of soft goth pumps to make a statement, complete with the most darling little bow placed right under your achilles heel so you can prepped for anything, anytime. 13 swatches in total.

Spirit Sprinter Athleisure Set

Even though all 4 of these cozy swatches are adorned with a zip up ribbon corset, there's no need to sacrifice your comfort to look snatched. Whether you're bumming out at home handing candy out to trick-or treaters, or training hard to be the best reaper the company has ever seen, this outfit has you covered.

Reaper Scythe Accessory

This is just the regular Reaper's Scythe from the game, made into an accessory by leo_morg on MTS. Link here They don't seem to be active anymore or have a TOU. It is just an EA item from the game but I wanted to properly cover my bases when it comes to crediting, since they were the ones who did most of the work. I just made some edits to the mesh and textures. At first I was just using it for screenshots and previews but since its a fine piece of cc I figured someone might find it useful so why let it go to waste?

Eclipse Cloak-Illuminated, Eclipse Cloak-Veiled, and Halfway Hair

For the adventurous souls daring enough to tread that liminal bridge between the afterlife and the mortal world, shroud yourself in mystery with these deluxe reapers cloaks- This is the first hair I've ever created with the sole purpose of making it specifically for a hat, although I'm happy with how it looks with no hood too! As for the cloaks, I just wanted some separated dramatic cloaks/hoods for storytelling, both a version that is up, and down. Goes in the hat category. They're a lot of material in a small space so the textures aren't the the most beautiful up close—but at the very least they're not going to conflict with pretty much any clothing (unless that clothing item doesn't obey the allotted space, of course) The veiled version is kinda neat because it functions/chops as a hat, so it works with a select handful of hairs. The hair has your standard 24 EA swatches, and the cloaks have 8 matching swatches.

Morgue Moth Vintage Romper

If you're one of my readers, you may have noticed that I occasionally like to use moth motifs from time to time. They go hand in hand with the death theme and they're also just really pretty ♥‿♥ You'll see them a lot throughout this project, and this item is no exception. I especially love this romper because it's super versatile— all 11 moth adorned swatches make for an easy go-to outfit for those hot days, but also work as adorable pajamas or vintage swimwear, and have that whimsical-macabre twist that is so mothsneakers ✨

Plaid To The Bone Shirt

11 swatches featuring a grungy patchwork of button down flannels stitched together, layered with a haphazardly placed tee with grim but colorful graphics for that effortlessly unkempt look. Wanted to make sure we got something for the men too, but of course our girls can throw it on as well, if they want!

Lately this has been my irl go to look when I want to look put-together but don't want to think too much about what to wear. simply mini-skirt+shirt+coat, pair it with your favorite tights and boots and you're good to go 😊 Keeping that same kind of idea with this piece, I really love full-body outfits so I don't have to think too much about putting an outfit together, I always feel like the cc-world needs more full-body outfits (that aren't just dresses, but complete looks you feel me?) It wasn't that you had a special occasion or anything. You were just planning on lounging around that afternoon. But wearing a nice shirt even if you were going to do nothing made you a little happier than if you didn't.

Still, nothing was catching your eye, and it didn't help that all your favorite shirts were dirty.

Maybe...you could look at what Casper had?

He wasn't currently home, so it's not like he could stop you. Besides, he probably wouldn't mind (he definitely would).

You rummaged through his shirt drawer, trying to find something you'd like. Eventually, in his collection of all-black shirts, you found a nice plain T-shirt.

It was perfect, and it even smelled like Casper. You pulled it over your head, loving how and how it hung on your body. Satisfied, you went on with your day, which involved a whole lot of nothing.

You look up from your spot on the bed to see him giving you a questioning look, but also trying to discreetly check you out, admiring you in his shirt and your shorts. You smirked at how he tried to look annoyed but couldn't stop admiring you. You sprang up from the bed to give him a better view.

"Well, hello to you too, and yes, it is. Doesn't it look so nice on me though?" You asked, giving him a little twirl.

"I wish you asked before taking it. Not that I would have let you wear it anyway."

"Hmph! Come on!" You huffed, "Can't you at least say I look nice?"

"I could, but why should I?" He said, sticking out his tongue.

You sighed, crossing your arms in disappointment. You were ready to give him the silent treatment out of pure pettiness before getting a little idea.

"I guess I'll just put on another shirt if you don't like it." You said, grabbing the hem of the shirt and starting to take it off before Casper hurriedly grabbed your hands and pulled it back down.

"No! I mean...ugh." He stumbled, blushing at the teasing look you were giving him.

"Oh? What is it~?" You teased, giggling.

"You..." he started. "Look nice. Really nice."

"Aww, now was that so hard to say?"

Lover House & "Lost Album"

Did the Lover house hint to the lost album / Karma?

(i don't know if this has been talked about before)

When the Lover music video was released, Folklore & Evermore were not made yet (although who knows with taylor she could have had the idea already) and were made during the pandemic.

when taylor swift climbs the stairs to the Reputation attic, she passes through a closet / wardrobe of what looks to be un-worn yellow outfits.

To get to reputation she'd have to pass through karma

this room only lights up once she passes through it, and dims when she is not in it with different outfits? that have faded in color.

but the basket in the corner makes me think forward to the Karma music video, and Dorothy in the wizard of Oz with her basket. (basket to also keep all her easter eggs haha) While Taylor doesn't have a basket in the video of Karma on the YELLOW brick road, it is associated with Dorothy. Karma could be a fantastical world to Taylor that did / didn't really happen. If Karma is like the land of Oz, and Taylor plays by the books rather than the film, then: According to the Oz books, Oz it is a hidden fairyland cut off from the rest of the world by the Deadly Desert.

so translated, Karma is a hidden album cut off from the rest of the albums.... + there is a briefcase in this room like she had to pack up and leave this album / era.

In the Karma Music Video NEXT to the yellow brick road is what looks to be THE DEADLY DESERT. Anything living that touches it; turns to sand..." or disappears, like the "lost album/karma" And Taylor blows sand on to the 3 reapers.

i believe the 3 reapers represent the 3 characters, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and Scarecrow from Oz. But in reaper form they are death.

A character known as the Grim Reaper causes the victim's death by coming to collect that person's soul.

Death to her albums / collecting the souls of her albums / the souls of her...

MAYBE a reference to Harry Potter and creating the Deathly Hallows, or becoming the master of Death.

That requires 3 things created by death: the cloak, the resurrection stone and the wand.

Taylor said in Time Magazine she's collecting her stolen albums like Horcruxes and Infinity Stones.

I dont know, but Taylor may have all 3 things. She wears the cloak in The Bejeweled Music Video, She Has all the Gems on in Bejeweled (the resurection stone / infinty stones ) AND is the WAND her QUILL?

They are VERY colorful

"It would seem that way, yes."

"You know, the Big Guy isn't exactly known for His patience... even if it is your first-"

"I'm on it, I've got it! I won't screw this up; you'll see!"

"Don't forget to file the forms before you-aaaand they're gone. Well, this ought to be good..."

Up until now, Aeschylus was having a perfectly average day. He woke with the sun as he always did, ate the same breakfast that he always ate, and trudged out to the waterside outcropping that had long served as his writing refuge. He found that his best writing only came to him when he was sure to remain uninterrupted by the presence of another person-at least, not without seeing them coming.

Aeschylus was quite vexed, therefore, to find himself looking down at a small, bald man slumped at his feet. He had half a mind to give the man a swift kick for his intrusion, but stopped himself when he noticed the man's garments. They might as well be from Aeschylus' own wardrobe! Taking a step forward, Aeschylus prepared to give the man a piece of his mind.

"Wait! Don't touch that!" A second interloper? The gods could be unimaginably cruel. "Are you, uhh, Aeschylus by chance?" Filler words. Aeschylus must have committed quite an egregious infraction to deserve torment such as this.

"That depends. What do you want?"

"I'm here to collect him. He's been, um, summoned?"

"At who's behest?"

"The... underworld?"

Aeschylus whipped around at that. If there was one type of humor he especially despised, it was wisecracks about his age. "I'll have you know that I'm-" He stopped abruptly when he spotted the shadowy figure. "What on Earth are you wearing?"

"Oh, umm..." the figure appeared almost self-conscious as it looked down at it's attire, though it's face was shrouded in a dark mist.

"Never mind. I assume your visit does have an actual purpose?"

"Yes! As I said, I'm here to collect the soul of Aeschylus. I mean, you."

"My soul, you say? And what exactly do you want with it?" Aeschylus replied, indignantly.

"It's my job to ensure it gets to the underworld safely." The figure responds in earnest.

"Well, you can't have it. I'm getting quite a bit of use out of it at the moment."

"Actually... I hate to be the one to tell you this, but... you're dead." Aeschylus furrows his eyebrows. "That body over there. That's you. Or, I guess, it was. If you don't come with me... Well, you certainly can't stay here."

Aeschylus regards the figure before him. "And how am I supposed to have died then, hmm? I see no threats lurking about."

Though no smile could be seen due to the figure's distinct lack-of-a-discernible-face, it could certainly be heard in it's voice. "You see that tortoise down there?" It pointed to a spot several feet down on the rocks below where a tortoise was, indeed, located. It's shell was cracked open revealing smooth, pink viscera. "You died when it hit you in the head just now."

Aeschylus was affronted by this, "Am I supposed to believe that a tortoise just, what, fell from the sky? Maybe reptiles know how to fly where you come from, but here in reality they-" a swooping eagle startles him from his ranting and lands on the rocks next to the downed tortoise.

"That eagle mistook your head for a shiny rock and tried to crack the tortoise open by dropping it on you. I guess it ended up working out for him in the end." Aeschylus takes visible offense to this. "Sorry, I shouldn't have said that. This is a real tragedy."

"Certainly not a very good one!" Aeschylus laments, "Any playwright worth his drachmas lets the audience know ahead of time about this sort of thing! Take me away from here. I couldn't bear the embarrassment of being discovered like this!"

"You got it; next stop, the River Styx! I've always wanted to say that!"

Aeschylus feels immediate regret at the reaper's cheerful declaration. This is going to be a long boat ride.

The mess did not surprise Rui. But he also wasn’t too pleased by the sight. And the mention of grooming. His nose scrunched up. “Maybe a bath in Lysol would do you good. I’ll draw you one after we finish here.”

Entering the room, the reaper cursed ghoul would step over some of the trash littered about. The basket placed down by the wardrobe. Leaning down, he would collect clothes from the clean and freshly ironed clothes, hanging some up- others being folded and set into the drawers.

“How was your video series?” Hopefully not too brain damaging.

The clothes slowly being put away one by one. Even if Ed didn’t necessarily help- Rui would work until everything was neatly stored away.

In the silence of the house Obscuary, a door creaked open. Slow and creeping, a disheveled creature emerged, red eyes shifting in the darkness in search of prey.

“… I have finished.”

“What would you do without me, dad,” Fuyumi sighed, though her smile was palpable, even if Enji couldn’t see it- as she’d stepped behind him to lint roll his dinner jacket. Enji adjusting his watch, and catching the time, puffing his chest up a bit as he shooed his daughter back, and glanced at himself in the full length mirror once more, briefly. Enji would lie down and accept the sweet, bitter kiss from the grim reaper, before he ever told his daughter just where he’d found his date from. But, and as hard as it was to so much as admit it, Enji did know when to wave the white flag of defeat, and after three hours of trying to pick his own outfit, he’d shuffled off to her room and mumbled the bare minimum about having a date from an app tonight. Fuyumi had freaked out for all of ten minutes, before growing startlingly serious, and rifling through his closet for articles of clothing Enji had no idea were even there. And now...well, he looked more presentable than he had in ages. Granted, his wardrobe consisted of his hero suit ninety nine percent of the time, but still. Bidding Fuyumi goodbye was a whole other ordeal, but soon enough, Enji found himself- or rather, his driver, pulling up along the curb of the restaurant he’d asked you to. Not even a moment to gather himself, or suck in a few lungful's of crisp evening air, before his eyes landed on you. Your dazzling smile so bright, Enji had to keep himself from squinting, as you hurried over, and without so much as a hello first, threw your arms over the hero’s broad shoulders, and brought him down into a tight, warm hug. Enji squeezed back awkwardly, though your cologne was mouthwatering, and the feel of someone wanting to be in his arms almost made the older man dizzy, as he pulled back, and smoothed out the front of his jacket. Just to busy his hands, as you eyed him up, and your smile grew softer. More intimate. “It’s so nice to meet, finally. In person.” You laughed, gesturing for Enji to follow you to the front door, as there was already a man waiting to escort you back to your table. Well, Enji thought. Here goes nothing. 

“You’re nervous,” you pointed out quietly- gently, reaching across the table to lay one of your hands over Enji’s much larger one: meeting the older man's gaze as he stopped jiggling his leg, and focused his full attention on you. “Observant,” Enji huffed, though not unkindly, as he took a deep breath, and reached up with his free hand to tug at the neck of his sweater. Cheeks flush, both from the heat within himself, and his nerves. You were much more...handsome? Pretty? Drop dead gorgeous?- than your profile pictures had given you credit for, and even then you were one of the most beautiful specimens he’d ever laid his eyes on, so that was really saying something. “I try to be,” you laughed, bringing your other hand around to sip at your champagne, before laying your glass-chilled hand over the other covering Enji’s, to clasp them on either side- just holding his hand, and smiling. Awkwardness creeping back up Enji’s neck as his throat worked around the words he couldn’t quite find. “I could talk, if you’d like? And you can interject whenever you’d like. No pressure to, if you’re not ready. I could probably talk enough for the both of us.” You we’re trying to cut the man some slack, bless his big confused heart. Your online chats hadn’t divulged much, though you did get the gist from Enji. Bad relationship with his children. Not too close to anyone of his own age. He was lonely. And so were you. You were also broke as fuck, but all thoughts of monetary value flew out the window the second you hugged the man when you’d arrived. Seen the restaurant he’d asked you to; and the private balcony dinner he’d arranged. Enji was trying so hard, and it made your heart beat a little too fast. Your smile almost too bright.  “That...would be preferable, thank you,” Enji replied gruffly- though he cleared his throat after like he’d done it by accident. It only made you smile wider “Of course. A very considerate daddy you are,” you teased, referencing the website you met on jokingly- or at least, half jokingly- though the way Enji’s blush deepened had you stuttering around your first few sentences- glancing down suddenly as Enji turned his hand palm upward- holding your hands in return, as you laughed, suddenly, and began speaking smoothly. Squeezing the man’s hands in silent thanks, as he listened intently to you rambling on about your life. Where you went to school, what instrument you played, your favorite movies, and books. He really /listened/, grunting every so often to show you he was- and even interjecting with questions every so often; Enji really wanted to know about you. He wanted to listen. You’d never quite had anyone like that before. Not even close friends who cared enough to really listen to you. Your chest felt tight suddenly as you began touching on your most recent life happenings. Pausing slowly, voice getting quiet as you held Enji’s gaze, you lifted the older man’s hand to press a kiss to his palm. Snickering into it as Enji’s flames burst across his face at the contact. “Ah-Ahem. What uh...what’s that for?” He questioned, voice husky as he turned away slightly. Embarrassed at his flames for the first time since he was a pre-teen. “Just thanks, for listening,” you admitted with a shrug, kissing his palm again, even softer this time. Enji turned then, pure honesty in his gaze as he gathered his courage to speak clearly, “I could listen to you speak...for hours, if I’m being honest. You have..a lovely voice.” “Ah,” You nodded, your cheeks just as flushed as the hero’s as you swirled your champagne in its glass gently. Missing completely the way Enji’s face fell, and he withdrew his hands from atop the table, and back into his lap. The rest of the night went pretty much the same, though you noticed Enji seemed slightly more reserved, and gruff than before. Still just as attentive, still nearly mute, just more...withdrawn. Less open then he’d become as you spoke. It wasn’t until the date had come to an end, and he was escorting you out of the restaurant, and to the car he’d called to take you home, did you realize why. “Here you go.” Enji spoke quietly, yet clearly, crowding you in slightly so the valet couldn’t see the wad of cash he was holding out to you. Crisp bills neatly folded into a money clip, engraved with Enji’s initials. “Oh.” You’d almost forgotten by this point that this was sort of part of it. Or...well, it was the whole point, really. Or had been. “That’s….quite a lot of money,” You thought aloud, frowning at the way Enji’s brows drew down tightly, and he thumped the money into your chest gently. “I apologize for the evening. Please, just take it. It’s triple the amount we originally spoke of. Compensation for the poor company I’ve been.” You froze, staring between Enji’s eyes, that wouldn’t meet your own, and the cash being held out to you, Enji’s grip so tight on it his knuckles were white. /Oh/. So that’s what he thought. Earlier in the evening, your reaction to his sincerity, he’d read into it wrong. ….Sweet old man. “Silly daddy,” You sighed, smiling despite the situation- reaching up to tug out one solitary bill from the stack, before pressing Enji’s fist back into his own chest with one hand- the other snaking up and around the man’s neck, to ease him down to your level gently. “I can’t say I’ve ever had a more wonderful time with anyone before in my whole life. You listened, and saw me. And only me. For hours. I don’t think I can properly describe how absolutely wonderful that was. Truly. Silly,” You laughed again, watching the way Enji’s shoulders hunched, and tensed, a myriad of emotions flitting across his face, before he settled on bewilderment it seemed. The tiniest flames danced across his cheeks as you leaned up on your toes, brushing noses briefly, before capturing Enji’s lips in a soft, chaste kiss. Hand carding up and into the soft hair at the nape of Enji’s neck, scraping your nails through his scalp gently as your lips began to move against one another. Unsure, and hesitant, before that quickly melted away, leaving only the deepest desire, and want. A soft, needy noise leaving your mouth, that Enji swallowed up happily. Panting into your face as he pulled away, breath a wash of champagne, and the chocolate cake you’d both had for dessert. “Tip...for your driver,” You breathed, slightly dazed as you fell back into the car, feet firmly on the ground now- tapping your pocket where you’d slid the bill from the stack he’d held out to you at first. “I...should get going. But if I don’t have a text from you with the details of our next date when I get home, i’ll be one very disappointed boy,” You admitted quietly, cupping Enji’s cheek briefly- thumb sliding across his plump bottom lip, before you opened the back door of the car, and slid in. Wishing Enji a goodnight, before the door was shut, and you were being driven off towards home. Enji checked the time briefly as you pulled away, and once more when he finally was able to get his legs working again- nearly an hour had passed, in which he’d tried and failed multiple times to collect himself. Had that really just happened? The feel of his lips twisting up into a smile felt strange, and foreign for the pro hero. And as he walked home, to allow himself a chance to breathe finally, he began to laugh. Cupping his own face, and touching his lips, an incredulous laugh bubbled from deep within him as he threw his head back and allowed it to overtake him. Smiling in a way he hadn’t in...so, so long. Pulling his phone out, he immediately began texting you, checking your schedule for the next night, before suggesting going to a play. A quiet, private balcony just for the two of you. Close seats. Beautiful music. He could watch your reactions under the bright stage lights. It sounded fantastic. A text from Fuyumi chimed into his phone as he was nearly home, and still smiling like a love struck teenager. So? although shibuya was known for its individualistic (aka creative) fashion, your punk style of wardrobe - black lipstick, eyeliner, the somewhat eccentric clothes - did stand out to him in particular

perhaps it was because he could relate in a way, always adorned in old-fashioned clothing that was from a bygone era, that he was drawn to you. whatever it was, you caught gentaro's eye instantly

the grim reaper, perhaps? here to collect the souls of those still wandering the streets of shibuya, near the statue of hachiko, though who knew death was such a cute girl!

ah, he kids, of course, letting out a small laugh at that story of his he made up on the spot. it was a hobby of his, after all, though also quite the interesting plot

only finds you more intriguing when the two of you eventually meet and strike up a conversation, by pure luck, though that was also the beating of his heart speaking

as a couple, the two of you surely did look rather strange from afar, though for some reason, that also meant that you guys meshed quite well

i mean, seeing a man styled in such old clothing, hand-in-hand with his girlfriend who, in contrast, had a dark color palette and more of a gothic fashion would seem a little strange perhaps

and the two of you certainly are a couple that popped out, strikingly different from one another (visually, that is), yet also so cute?? certainly got along quite well

honestly, can see him a little bit eager to try out your style and would definitely let you dress him up or even do his makeup (although he certainly can't sit still when you do it, finding it too ticklish or squeamish when you're trying to apply eyeshadow or eyeliner)

it comes as no surprise that jyushi is beyond ecstatic given the two of you had practically the same interests. it was almost as if he met his other half

listen, jyushi himself is a vkei artist, always dressing up in extravagant yet dark clothes. so to have someone that's the same way, to understand him and able to ramble on and on about the topics that excite both you and him, ah jyushi was certainly happy

when the two of you first met, the way you dressed certainly caught his eye first and foremost. it was difficult to find someone that dressed in such a style on the streets of nagoya, and there were evident stars in his eyes, perhaps smitten at first sight (not really in a romantic sense, but he was excited to find someone similar to him)

and when you recognized the band on his shirt, commenting on how you also listened to vkei when he asked, i swear his eyes sparkled at that instant

jyushi had hearts in his eyes, the thumping in his chest and fluttering sensation in his gut much reminiscent of a crush starting to form

oh man is he smitten lmao (well, it wasn't everyday he met such a cute girl that was also into vkei and a bit of a punk at that!)

can definitely see some dates being just the two of you sitting on the floor of his room and listening to vkei - watching the mvs, sharing recs, or even fawning over bands

honestly, the two of you could ramble for hours about it yet have no sense of time passing by. it's much fun though!

hm, i can also see him perhaps ask you for your opinion on some of his band's songs that they were working on. i mean, as a vkei fan as well, your input was surely of value, though he still does get quite flustered and shy when you beam and tell him that it's amazing

Isolation certainly was a reoccurring theme, especially with the Fallen. Though he could tell Lucifer took it to a bit more of an extreme case. Hades had never been a bringer of any sort of emotions. If anything, many of the souls he had ferried to Heaven for judgement were often angry, bitter, or steeped in depression at their loss of life.

That, honestly had only compiled on-top of his already rampant doubts when humans essentially saw him as a horrible thing to see. And looking through their history, they sure loved to embellish it. Always pinning him to be this horrific villain, some scheming monster who hated life and wanting the downfall of what ever 'god' or 'gods' they wrote myths about.

Well they at-least got the last little bit right.

"Never had any of them try. But then again, none of them remember their time in the Halls. As far as I know, you are the only one outside of Heaven that knows about it." He could only imagine what horrors a sinner would witness getting too close to the soul of the angel that was made to be humanities reaper. Would they fear unbearable fear? Would they feel overwhelming dread?

Would they remember that horrors of death while they still lived and breathe? Would they feel the hate, loathing, fear and sorrow of every human soul he's had to hold and bear the burdens of?

He didn't know.

His coat alone looked to be made of some sort of thick, well tailored leather and padded inside. Definitely not something made in Hell. But he seemed more than willing to at least make accommodations for his new friend.

Still he shrugged his shoulders with a sigh.

"No one knows we're out there so no one has bothered to try and route any power or.. well.. anything to us. Can't even get supplies from the city, so we rely on what the Ferryman, uhh.. Charon is his name, can scrounge up from Earth." A benefit to taking such a job, constantly going between the worlds of the living and the dead and being able to bring things over.

If I remember correctly, you once wrote that William would either fall for someone who is exactly like him or the complete opposite. But what if they are somehow both? Like they have this perfect image at work and in public, but once they are alone they turn into lazy gremlin who just wants to lay in bed and eat snacks? (If you've seen anime Himouto!Umaru-chan, they are someone like her). I can only imagine Will's shocked face after seeing their personality change like that lol

Hardworking yet lazy

📒William was never someone who striked for a partner in the first place. He met his darling on accident though, they were apparently an acquaintance of the one William was supposed to collect the memories from. So by watching them, he also watched, not on purpose, his darling. And every other grim reaper would have laughed and said that they were the spitting image of William. The same stoic expression, the same pair of glasses and an almost butler-like yet harsh way of choosing their words. And they were a small perfectionist, not a single spot could be dirty in their surroundings.

📒And William appreciated that attitude of yours. He doesn’t think very high of humans, he orders them in different categories. And you were definitely someone who deserved in his eyes the right to live. You were persistent, calm and polite yet knew when you had to go stricter and push a bit harder. He only watched you one day, but the tidiness which seemed to be very important to you and the way you were able to analyze things and find solutions impressed him.

📒William would start looking here and then after you in the human world, sometimes watching you working overtime which was very appreciated by him and yet he also worried himself a bit that you would one day have a breakdown due to all the stress. At first he was a more polite stalker, if you can call it that. He didn’t watch over your private life, only when you were working and you had an almost iron grip on your co-workers, demanding the best from them and yet seemed to know when they needed some rest which made you also act encouraging and kind to them when needed. This way of knowing the human nature and being so observant of the body language of others left a deep impression on William and the longer he stalked you, the higher he respected you.

📒And so after a couple of weeks he decided for the first time to follow you home. He wanted to deepen his research a bit about you and find out what exactly you liked and hated. You kept it pretty subtle about your preferences of food and personal likings in public and he had started to plan to approach you very soon and needed to know about what exactly he could talk to you and spark a good conversation.

📒So he followed you late at night, since you had spent a lot more hours on the projects than needed, to your house. A small and nice cottage, the plants in the garden very well nursed and cut into perfect shape. From what he could see through the window you seemed to keep your house tidy, very much in that matter. Everything seemed normal at first.

📒That was until you stepped into your room and suddenly let yourself slump into your bed, suddenly starting to complain about your goddamn tiring day of work, opening your night desk which was filled to the brim with sweets and snacks, wrapping yourself up in blankets and starting to munch snacks, not caring that the crumbs landed in your bed. Your room seemed in general like a complete different world in comparison to the rest of your house. Clothes were laying carelessly in every corner, trash was sprawled on the floor and the bed was a messy mess.

📒To say that William was shocked would have been an understatement, he was standing completely dumbfounded there, his face just saying:”What just happened in here?” He had never expected to see this. He had expected you to be working even at home, but you seemed to have troubles even leaving the bed and changing your clothes into something more comfy. Your wardrobe looked by the way like a bomb had exploded in it and William had this suspicion that a few of those pieces hadn’t been washed in a while.

📒William can only be fascinated with your sudden personality switch. It’s like as soon as you leave the house, you’re getting possessed by someone, tired and hunched over form suddenly straightening up and this determined and analyzing looking expression crossing your face. He would also feel a bit conflicted about this. William doesn’t appreciate laziness that much, especially since you lack a lot of hygiene in your room, wearing clothes that haven’t been washed in weeks. On the other hand you’re always working dutifully and get your job done which is why he can’t really complain that you lack motivation at work. Because then you absolutely shine.

📒It’s in a way very lovable for William to see those lazy and complaining side of yours, even though he would never show that too openly and scolds himself mentally every time he catches himself thinking of it as cute. To a degree he would be even a bit released since he was worried you would work even at home on your work, skip sleep or taking a short break which is needed for a human like you. But it turns out that you do take rests and don’t do anything at all at home. The only thing he can and will complain about is your ignorance of cleaning your own room, washing the clothes and throw all the trash away, not to mention the left over food in your room before it rots or insects are getting lured in by it.

📒William would try for the most part to start a normal relationship with you at first, not wanting to go through the unnecessary paperwork. It would be very interesting for him to approach you one day whilst you work and get to know this determined and focused side of yours which never seems to stop about their work. He knows he’ll have to build a lot of trust so you will ever be able to show him your other side.

📒He would try to adjust his behavior a bit, gaining your respect by just being the hard worker he is whilst also trying to discover if your more lazy side is slipping through at all whilst you work which won’t be the case. You live a perfect undercover life.

📒William knows that you will never show him this side of you think he won’t appreciate it. William is a bit annoyed by this side of yours, most likely because he’s a bit concerned about your health which you seem to neglect a bit due to it. But he also won’t force you to change too much since you get your work with pure perfection done. He would most like it just try to push you and bring you to cleaning your room at least once in a while. It’s rather hard to motivate you when you’re home. It is a sign for him that you trust him and feel comfortable around him since you at one point don’t try to hide your true nature anymore, but he can’t say that he’s a bit annoyed by this.

📒In the end it might just end with him cleaning up your room and washing your clothes since it bugs him. So on the one hand he’s worried that you’ll overdo it when you get outside the house, but it also annoys him that you don’t do anything at all once you’re home. Dear god, what are you doing with him?

holy shit game is laying down answers and throwing punches. swan lady who killed wilson and was a fake visiting medical student to japan was actually asa shinn (which is an oddly not british sounding name) who was the assassin of the collective known as the Reaper who Gregson was orchestrating hits for. im starting to think genshin asogi was framed too. oh asa shinn assassin haha i get it. a jp code name would be in line with all the secret communication codes being is japanese.

aw the gang might be splitting up. at least its 2 good choices. return to japan and help form a judiciary system or stay in london and continue practicing british law. neither is a bad option. this also signals ryunosuke's first major decision of his own not just chasing kazuma. both options could help japan and his career.

we still havent gotten an explanation as to why barok took a hiatus from prosecuting (5 years?) and only returned in case 1-3. i still dont get the connection between all the names at the end of 1-5 kazuma asogi, asa shin, tobias gregson, john wilson. the connection is that they were all announced dead. but it cant be a hit list because kazuma's "death" was an accident by a third party and it cant be people who are dead because at the time asa shin and gregson were still alive. and whats it doing in a government correspondence. "this is all four" all 4 of what.

strange how with how prevalent fathers are in this duology we know nothing about ryunisuke's father or family

kazuma and ryunosuke desperately need a heart to heart.

so while amnesiac kazuma sneaks off a ship and then plots a voyage to the other side of the globe in a city where im asumming he's communicating in english so like this is all being done in a second/ethird/etc language with everyone involved. he hopped ports as a sailor. bruh... yeah that "tenacity" alright. that letter is suspicious af. when did he get that letter. the previous sentences imply it was after entering yumei and kazume was aquainted with jigoku already. that puts a very fast timeline since kazuma was only a second year during case 1-1 and would mean that his mother died rather recently. months before 1-1.

there's an interested dialectic here about justice as individual action vs. justice as a system. Kazuma here sees the legal system made up of people and thus is the justice system is individuals each seeking justice. susato refutes that justice is greater than on person and is the laws everyone is held accountable to. and they're both right.

kazuma and ryuunosuke, i wonder which is the one that truly has changed? each thinks it is the other but... and this relates back to the clothes discussion i had last? post where kazuma has had a wardrobe change, and should ryuu? kazuma's demeanor and goals seem to have changed from ryunosuke's perspective but this is all stuff he was carrying with him before, we just didn't see the weight of it. but he has changed in that he's let his quest for revenge consume him where as before it was not or it was still a distant thing instead of something right in front of him. and ryuunosuke has changed, the core of him is the same but over the course of the games, he's discovered himself, he's gained confidence in his beliefs, ability, and in himself.
