Now I am not saying that Drumbot Brian on the drums or banjo are over appreciated because I don't think it is possible to appreciate anything about Drumbot Brian too much, BUT I do think that Drumbot Brian on the accordion is terribly underappreciated.

Look at this. How can you see this and Not want to talk about him on the accordion for the rest of time?? Also the instrument itself is pretty and matches the rose on his hat.

Apparently I'm supposed to just sit here with the fact that when Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison went back to the studio to record unfinished Lennon's demo post-mortem for the Beatles Anthology, they had to pretend that John just went out for tea or on vacation and left them to finish the recording session cause they kept crying in the studio.

"In all of our singles and album songs, I don't think I've ever composed a song while knowing so little about it. I did not even know if the chorus would have a melody or a death voice. Therefore, I worked on it while vaguely having an image of things like: 'I wonder if this part will open up?'

It mostly matched. But even now, I still can't really grasp it, and it is difficult to understand. Why it turned out like that, I still don't know."

i am going insane. how can i not go insane? every single time someone streams take me to church, they are hearing the original demo vocals from hozier’s parents’ attic. they are hearing the earliest, rawest form of his work. it’s not a professionally done job by a seasoned musician. take me to church is very much backed by a young man just entering his twenties who dropped out of university to pursue his dream. who recorded the track, fresh out of a breakup, in an attic. like, i see concert recordings on my instagram feed every day, there are reddit users with whole sleeves of tattoos inspired by his lyrics, and when i’m lucky enough, too sweet will be playing at a cafe i’m studying at. it’s just crazy that the guy we hear when we listen to take me to church will be on the receiving end of a whole grammy nomination just a couple years later. that he would perform on snl, at a victoria’s secret fashion show, release two more albums. i mean !!! take me to church, one of the top thirty most streamed songs on spotify? yeah, it was sung by hozier, but more importantly, by andrew.

with the news of sleep token signing with rca (its huge, super proud of the guys- really hoping rca doesn’t fuck them over)

i just want to say: free palestine. rca supports israel which is hella unfortunate. but i also want to say don’t conflate the label’s morals with the band. there are plenty of bands signed by rca that support palestine- bring me the horizon is a very notable example!

i also doubt we’ll get any statement from the band so do with that what you will. they haven’t spoken on anything like this before, i doubt they’ll start now.

Thinking about Virgin!Toshi groaning into your ear that he needs to go slow as he pushes into you for the first time, but his body says otherwise as his hips begin to thrust into you faster and faster.

Wakatoshi didn’t think his first time would go this way. 

His acquaintances and teammates would tell you that he didn’t have a romantic bone in his body, but they didn’t truly know him. 

Because Wakatoshi pictured something romantic for his first time, like he had seen in the movies. He pictured maybe tea candles lit everywhere, some mood-setting music playing over his Bluetooth speaker. 

He wonders if maybe he’s doing it the wrong way now as his hands slowly glide up and down your back, being careful not to hurt you. 

His precious jewel in his rough hands. 

His mind races as he kisses you, wondering if he’s applying too much pressure and if the callouses on his hands are dragging across your bare skin and you can feel them. He wonders if they repulse you. 

Because you should be handled delicately. You should be shown such care that you feel like you’re royalty. 

It’s what you deserve. 

It’s always been what you deserve. 

Since the moment Wakatoshi met you, he wanted to give you everything the world had to offer, everything that he had to offer.  For your first date, Tendou thought he would have to coach him through it, but Wakatoshi planned everything himself, much to Tendou’s surprise. 

Tendou had imagined Wakatoshi thought that giving you his favorite protein bar flavor would be the pinnacle of romance. 

But when Wakatoshi told Tendou all the details of that first date - how he had ordered a custom bouquet, how the little cabaret club he was taking you to already had a private booth set aside for you two, how he already had an expensive silver bracelet with a couple of charms on it to surprise you with since it was your first “official” date and not a group hangout - Tendou was impressed.

Wakatoshi wants to know where that version of him went though as you kiss him now. 

This isn’t how it’s supposed to be… This isn’t how it’s supposed to be… 

Or is it? It feels right… I want to… 

The glow from the TV screen is the only thing that illuminates Wakatoshi’s bedroom now during this late-night movie and cuddling, and he wonders if he should shut the movie off. 

Or should he leave it on? Can he even see without it? Would everything turn into a disaster if he couldn’t see? 

You’ve been his first for a lot of things - first crush, first date, first kiss. 

He wants his first time to be with you so badly, but he doesn’t want to mess it up. 

Your voice is soft, a smidgen seductive, as you murmur a “Toshi…” into his neck when his hands dig into the plushness of your hips. 

His body stiffens as you pepper little kisses across his neck because he isn’t used to the intimacy or the affection. 

He’s used to his name being sliced in half, of course, but it’s never the latter half. 

It sounds so sweet falling from your lips. 

“Am- Am I doing this right?” He wants to know, his voice dipping even lower, and his cheeks heat up when you laugh into his neck.

You nip at his neck for a moment and revel in the loud groan he makes as your hand blindly searches for his Playstation controller and you pause the movie. 

“Do you think you’re doing it right?” You tease him, lifting your head and raising an eyebrow at him.

He doesn’t know how to answer. Because is he? He doesn’t know. He doesn’t know anything about this kind of stuff.

But he knows he loves you. 

He knows he trusts you.

“You’re overthinking again…” You hum, brushing your nose against his cheek and you smile, “Just relax. Just be in the moment.”

But how is he supposed to relax? How can he be with you lying on top of him? He's embarrassed that you can feel how hard he is already just from you kissing him and helping you take off your shirt.

He kisses you deeper, trying to shake his nerves, but you know him. You’ve known him for a year as a friend, and only a few months now as a boyfriend, but you don’t chalk him up to emotionless as others do. 

You know how he looks when he’s overthinking. 

"Toshi…"

"Mm?"

You move your fingers through his dark hair, almost in a soothing motion, as you try to think of how to ask him. You can tell he’s excited, obviously. You can tell he wants you, and you want him too. 

But the most important thing is that he feels ready.

That he truly wants to have his first time to be tonight. 

"What do you want?" You whisper to him. 

You can’t clearly see him because of how dark it is, but you can feel him. 

You can feel him trying to convey his emotions as his hands grip your hips tighter. You can feel him lean deeper into your hand as you stroke his head, and you can feel the deep cleansing breath he takes before he answers you. 

"I want… I want to… I want to make love to you." 

Pleasure shoots up his spine from the sound of your sudden laugh.

"Yeah? You wanna fuck me?"

You're trying to tease him some more to get him to relax, maybe laugh a little. 

But the way he frowns says he's serious.

"No," He shakes his head, taking your hand in his and his lips brush across your knuckles, "I don't… I don't want to fuck you. I want to make love to you." He repeats.

You feel another laugh bubbling its way up your throat, but he's looking at you so seriously that you swallow it. 

He lets go of your hand and gently cups the back of your head, keeping you still so you'll keep eye contact with him.

"You mean so much to me… Please…” His voice cracks, “I want to treat you like you deserve."

His thumb brushes across your bottom lip as he takes in everything about them. Their shape, the taste of your lip balm, the way they look when they're curving into a smile like right now. 

"I thought you didn’t know what to do..." You remind him.

His eyes drift further up your face, and he mirrors your smile.

"Show me?"
