Someone needs to humble Blackpink and their fans real quick because why are these people acting like Jay Park 0.2 ? Half of the Kpop industry has literally admitted to Bts paving the way (even legendary idols like SNSD and Wonder Girls), yet the gg who can't even sell out concerts without giving away free tickets and lying about it, is claiming to pave the way? The arrogance and ignorance is so serious with BP, like it's actually not only disrespectful but so tone deaf of the members themselves. Do these girls really, truly believe that they're the best and have paved the way? Like where do they even get the arrogance, this is what I'm confused about. If these girlies were hitting #1 all day on all bb and Spotify charts, then fine but their songs barely chart without heavy media play or looping. Like this is the biggest difference between bts and bp - even when BTS write songs about their achievements its actually about their achievements, awards, music and lyrics bp on the other hand only flaunt their looks and money and non existence 'charting'. Make it make sense. I'm trying hard to respect the members but it's really hard because the girls are so so tone deaf. Not to mention, how Blinks were dragging V's new solo but their own fav release this ddu and hylt recycled with childish ass lyrics and it's celebrated?

Hi, I'm a guy standing by the doors of a convenient store that you frequent. It's 10pm and you're out because your wife needed Sprite and Gatorade because her tummy hurts and you'd do anything to make her life easier. Anyway I'm asking you something.
"Hey excuse me, can I ask you a question?"
You say no but I keep talking because I have a very obvious script in my head and you're messing it up so I ignore you.
" I'm not trying to bother you but I noticed your rims are dirty. I clean rims as a side hustle. It's 3 rims for $15."
" You only offer a three pack?" You say visibly confused.
" Well no I can do all four but that’s $20."
"That isn't a deal then if every rim was already $5 each, you know that right?"
"Uhh umm"
I'm stumbling. No one has ever talked to me this long.
"So do you want your rims cleaned?" I’m hopeful.
" No. it's 10pm and we're at a Dollar General. You don't have water or soap or anything."
"Uhhh ummm I can do it some other ti-"
You cut me off.
"And why don't you clean the entire car? Detail all the outside and maybe the inside? Wouldn't that be a better business model?"
" Uhhh well i-"

"I have to go inside now."
You make a show of locking your car doors. You walk to the entrance and look back and I've disappeared.
You're at the drink aisle and they’re out of your wife's Gatorade that she likes. She's very picky and only likes the light blue one. They only have yellow one. You opt in for Powerade instead, she doesn't like the blue Powerade one so maybe the red one is the safest choice. She does like fruit juice so why wouldn't she like fruit punch flavor? Oh why didn't you have her write an entire essay on her opinions on sports drinks! You're kicking yourself but you grab the bottle and go to the fridges in the back to get a bottle of Sprite. They changed what the bottle looks like again. It looks like every other bottle. God damn these corporations making everything look palatable to everyone. The green bottle kicked ass. You grab the bottle and double check to make sure it's not Sprite Zero because all the bottles look the same and you've made that mistake before. Your wife pretended it was fine and took a baby sip of the soda in front of you to make you believe that it truly was okay then she put it to the side and never touched it again. You threw the full bottle away two days later when you cleaned the house.
Everything checked out so you head to the cash register, walking slowly to look at all the candy hanging in the aisle. “Maybe I should get some gummy sharks” you think but it's already 10pm and they close at 10:30pm. So it's best you just keep walking and not waste time. The lights flicker above you as you walk. You put your items on the conveyor belt and the cashier asks
"Did you find everything okay?"
What? How? It's the same man from outside but he's wearing different clothes and he's smiling so big it looks like it hurts.
"Um yeah I did thanks." You say as calmly as you can. 
You pay with your card but the machine isn't processing it.
"Push the card in more" he says.
"Okay yeah."
It works and the payment goes through. You walk fast to your car and get in and drive home. You’re shaken. You wish that your home was farther from that place than it was. You realize it's an easily walkable distance to your home. Something I could easily walk and find your car and its dirty rims. You almost run a red light.
You make it home and it feels nice outside. Feels nicer here than it did there? It's only a 3 minute drive apart. How is that possible? You walk inside and give your wife her drinks. It's clear you made the wrong decision by getting the Powerade. But she drinks the sprite. You take off your shoes and put on pajamas. You don't sleep that night. You think about me and my terrible business I'm running.
The next morning you go outside to clean your rims. They are indeed dirty and maybe I had a point when I said they needed to be cleaned. You make your pathetic little soap mixture and sit down to get to work. With soapy rag in hand, you see a little smiley face etched out of the dirt on your driver front rim. You spend too much time scrubbing away the dirt. After an hour, you get up tired and wet and think "maybe that was worth $20"
okay the morbius script was one thing

ok it's rly stupid but discacc chapter 42 felt so weird writing not for anything in the chapter but bc i wrote it outside of my normal active chapter document. for the most part. LIKE i have this one document that i use for writing all my discacc chapters and HAVE since like way way way early on. like since chapter 2 ish early on? bc things were getting too long it was freaking out the doc & also it's easier to copy-paste new chapters into ao3 if i just have that chapter there. so i have my main fic thing (well, multiple, since discacc is too long to fit into one document lmfaoo) & then i write new chapters in this active chapter doc & then copy paste them into the main thing once im done
EXCEPT
so 42 was originally a part of 41. it was all gonna be chapter 41. and i wrote like 4.6k words of it in active document with chapter 41. then decided it was gonna be its own thing, so i just plopped that bit into its own document to cut it from the active chapter doc. but then. when it came time to continue it in chapter 42. i just. didnt move it back to the active chapter document. i just kept writing in separate document '42'.
and idk there's just smth that feels so WEIRD about that. like it wasn't a normal discacc chapter or smth. which is kinda stupid but idk. like i couldve moved it back over at any point. but i didnt. bc i was already there
anyways im looking forward to writing again in "DA active chapter" doc aka the RIGHT doc for discacc writing. thank you very much

My entry for the banner art contest for the Technoblade Discord server, inspired by a parenting story Technodad shared on Reddit.
More ramblings about process below the cut!
I didn't have time to document much of my process, so I'll be dropping bits of trivia as they come to me.
The contest announcement dropped 08/08, and for a few days I thought I was gonna skip out on it because I couldn't think of a decent idea. But then inspiration struck when I rewatched Tonko House's The Dam Keeper short. I also recalled Technodad's sweet parenting story, so I decided to mash the two ideas together for my entry.
Most of the time spent on this piece was on the 3D modeling in SketchUp! I started modeling on 08/11, and had several false starts before settling on the final build on 08/18. Technodad mentioned in his story that his family lived in a condo in San Francisco, so I referenced the more iconic architecture of the location's residential areas. He probably lives in more modern housing, but I'm a sucker for the old-fashioned aesthetic. Artistic-liberty!

The theme of the banner art contest was "autumn", so I roughly blocked in the location of two trees which I would paint in autumnal colors. The street lamps were recycled from another banner contest I entered around 2020 for the CrankGameplays server themed after "spring" - I think it's fitting that it's reused in another seasonal-themed contest. Everything else was modeled from scratch!
I wish I documented more of my painting process, but all of the painting was done in a span of 1.5 days while I was recovering from a bug. Normally I'd take at least a week to finesse things, but I was in a rush. I needed to submit my entry before the deadline so there was ample time for upvotes, and I also had a commission I needed to wrap up before next month. I get restless when I have more than one project on my plate, especially when both are time-sensitive!
