Drawing this thing made my entire being hurt, even my soul.

Anyways, enjoy what might be my new best drawing yet in the form of Commander Setsuka of Repliforce’s 12th Elite Assault Regiment. A twin beam saber-wielding Lunagaron Reploid known for smashing through reinforced walls and for some reason being considered the “mom” of a D&D party I’m in (I wish I knew why as much as anyone). I honestly had a blast drawing her even if it destroyed my entire physical presence as usual. I got to try some new stuff, mostly involving glowing effects, and I think it worked out well. I’m very happy with how it came out in the end.

Colonel & Iris as Pokemon!

Some days ago I decided I would try drawing all of my main muses as Pokemon - specifically in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon world.

Colonel was the first one I started on, so I'll talk about him first.

I was originally kinda set on making him a Serperior, but then I suddenly got an idea for how I could re-shape a Gallade's proportions to resemble him more closely. Plus, I also felt like he and Iris should really be the same species since they're siblings and all.

Anyways - one thing you may notice about Colonel is that he's abnormally tall and muscular for a Gallade. Normally they only stand at 5ft, but I made Colonel a whole foot taller. He has the physique of a super-soldier in his original form, so I thought those physical traits should carry over. I also tried to sharpen and bend his horn(s) to resemble his hat, but I also might have accidentally made him look a little like Guile. XD (I guess it hints at his Military/Capcom origins).

I also imagined that if he and Iris ended up as part of the protagonist group in a PMD story, they would both start out as Ralts. Though... I really didn't feel like drawing that, so I only have them as Kirlia.

As for how things would go for Colonel, I feel like being able to sense exactly how everyone else around him is feeling would be an unusual sensation for him. His newfound psychic powers would also take some getting used to, but even when he'd start to get the hang of it, he'd still prefer to stay with what he's most familiar with. When he'd be a Kirlia, he'd use a sharpened stick (which he made himself) and swift kicks to fight up-close. Though... He'd also be far from pleased about his natural "dress." He'd be pretty eager to get his paws on a Dawn Stone as soon as he'd find out about his next evolution.

Also, even though Kirlia dance a lot, I imagined that Colonel would hardly dance at all (if he can help it). I can still imagine him swaying slightly sometimes when he's not paying attention. Still, I can imagine a part where Iris gets really happy about something, which makes him really happy too, which also makes Iris happy in turn, so then they both start jumping and twirling around as the joy gets bounced back and fourth between them. They'd probably keep that up for a full minute before they'd finally settle down. XD

Once he'd evolve into a Gallade, he'd gain the ability to sense people in trouble over a pretty large radius. I remember imagining a scene where he senses that another Pokemon is in distress, and he speeds off in their direction. When he arrives, he sees that they're being mugged by another pokemon, so he tackles the robber to the ground and pins them by the neck. From there he'd give the victim back their possessions, and drag the robber back to the Sheriff, where they'd get thrown in jail. I can imagine they'd offer Colonel a job after that, thanks to his natural ability to sense trouble.

As for Iris, I kinda feel like she might end up staying a Kirlia throughout the whole story. Either that, or it would just take her a longer time to evolve for some reason. I guess it could be because she'd rather avoid fighting, so she wouldn't get as much exp. I also feel like she'd take to her new form and powers better than Colonel would. In a way, it would feel like second-nature to her. I also kind of get the feeling that being able to sense what's in her friends' hearts would make her feel like she understands them better as people (which is why I have the headcanon that this pokemon species tends to easily form deep emotional attachments to others). She also might accidentally find out some of their secret feelings too though... Still, I can imagine her feeling even closer to everyone by the end of the adventure. The Pokedex also says that Kirlia can distort space to see into the future, so I can also imagine Iris sometimes doing that to help her in a fight or when she feels scared. Colonel wouldn't even bother though. XD

I guess that's all I have to say for now though. I'm planning to draw some of my other main muses as Pokemon, but I still haven't decided on which ones they should be yet. Like many places Squish stumbled upon, he felt an intense curiosity to explore and poke around… Sometimes however, this behavior got him into places where he should not have been.

Squish trotted around the base of Repliforce HQ, a much more militaristic setup from the business zones and housing districts he was used to so far. The gruffness or unresponsive reactions to his presence by some off the guards discouraged him slightly, but it wasn’t enough to keep him from finding other avenues of entering.

A few small windows offered an alluring point of entry, but none so far have yielded to him. Most of the fencing was also consistently difficult to push through or exploit. However, one section of it was just loose enough to attempt pushing himself through.

Squish pushed at the fence with his head, trying to extend the bars with his hands. He ended up trying multiple times to move or extend it - he was on the verge, he was so close!! Finally, he managed to pop his head through and squeaked in victory! —

— Though he very quickly realized his error: the rest of his body couldn’t fit through the hole!

He pulled and tugged and tried to get the chainlink to widen again, but it was much more difficult than trying to get in. Some of the loose ends were digging into his skin, causing the critter to cry out in pain.

Try as he might, he couldn’t seem to escape his new predicament. Squish decided to stop and rest for the moment, attempting to figure out his next step.

The Unexpected[closed-RP started]

It had been several hours into the day. The Hydroponic-Arboretum was at maximum efficiency, págos-droids where uploading data into the mainframe, and Xel was tacking away a recent report on one specimen that they had managed to multiply the seed count of. It felt to him like being in a stasis bubble. Alert! Alert! A flashing folder appeared on the holoscreen. A singular new piece of mail in the inbox. HIGH PRIORITY, it read. So of course the reploid ventured to open it. Tentatively cautious and hopeful that it wasn't too serious. A lump formed in his throat. The General. The General of Repliforce was coming to the facility. The body of the letter was vague. "To the Erthiss Facility, We are in need of your resources for a recent mission. Be prepared receive us as soon as you are able. We will be at the facility in a few cycles. The General" If he drank coffee, which he did not, it would have been covering his screen by this point after a dramatic spit take. Quick to his feet to make for the entrance. He hailed several págos-droids on his way. It had been a while since the last visit so the landing pad outside was in need of defrosting. Snow howled harshly. Towering metal scratched by the claws of hoarfrost. Virr-PShh. A pair of doors opened to a large decompression chamber allowing a small figure out. While he commanded his droids to prepare the landing pad he opened an open channel to the rest inside the faculty, putting out a high-alert. It wasn't often top-brass visited.

The question took him off guard. "I...uh. I brush it sometimes. And keep it clean. In all honesty I tend to prioritize cleaning it over minor cosmetic repairs to my armor. If some gunk gets on it it makes it move differently and effects the balance if I'm trying to do anything too acrobatic."

Zero lowered his voice a little as he admitted an additional secret, one he knew he could trust her with. "It helps to have a spare on reserve. I had a mission where I didn't take any functional damage, but a narrow dodge meant that basically the entire thing was gone. Had to get that fixed ASAP because everyone I ran into around the base was deeply unsettled and couldn't quite figure out why."

Krigg really does not like people picking on her height, despite her having thick enough skin to handle it, so that would get her attention expeditiously quick. A friend who knows her well enough might call her name, instead take advantage of her appetite by mentionning her favourite treat.

16. What kinds of people do they have arguments with in their head?

People she's not likely going to meet again, be it because they've passed, or because she's actively trying not to see them again. Beyond that, they're usually people whom she looked up to, or had a level of responsibility towards, either sworn or entirely self-made. Often times, her wandering mind fills in the blanks of what they might have said to her. They're rarely ever saying nice things, presiding as harsh judges over her present actions.

On less distressing notes, the person she talks most and argues with in her own brainscape is herself, and those conversations can be entirely humoristic, or her sense of caution acting up, or her calling herself an idiot. 19. What would they do if stuck in a room with the person they’ve been avoiding?

Lie. Lie through her TEETH to avoid speaking honestly to the person she's been cornered with and do anything to throw them off her path. It takes a very severe reason for Krigg to even consider dodging someone to the point of avoidance - possibly them poking their nose into something private of hers that she is not willing to speak on. In that case though, straight refusal is likely to occur rather than her wriggling around the topic.

But if pushed enough, Krigg is likely to lash out in anger and to drop every lie all at once in an explosive, very unpleasant rage-filled rant. Fight always was her preferred response to percieved danger.

"Threats and troubles - the galactic hitchiker's guide to avoiding them!"

A short, but comprehensive talk on the galaxy's various sources of problems that Krigg has encountered in her long time wandering from world to world. From rowing bands of energy-devouring mechanical beings, to warring empires, to even weird singularities - nothing that she wouldn't talk about in exhaustive detail. Perhaps, too exhaustive for her to have truly avoided them! But hey, if you follow her talk, maybe you WON'T run face first into them like her!

I love the existential crisis X goes through through the X series. It starts with X questioning the moral ambiguity of his violent actions through X1 to X3. For a long time after finishing every game, we have X regret not being able to solve these battles peacefully, but still fighting nonetheless.

It's X4 that brings everything to a head for me. After experiencing all this violence and facing Repliforce who makes him question what even means to be a Maverick, X biggest fear is becoming Maverick himself. Holding Zero to promise to destroy him if X ever tries to harm humanity.

What makes this a great piece of existential horror is that Reploids are all based on X's design, only without the decades of moral protocols Dr. Light put X through that essentially gave him a very strong sense of empathy. So after years of X seeing so many Reploids go Maverick the very protocols created to assure he would never turn on humanity put the fear of going Maverick in his mind. It's such an interesting idea.

RiFT paused for a minute before continuing.

"With that said, no dimension is perfect. Some of the dimensions where Sigma never went Maverick are also dimensions where either X, Zero, or even both became Mavericks. And some dimensions where there's no Sigma virus, another virus remained... The Zero Virus... Or in one dimension, where X was awoken too early and no one accepted him, there was the X Virus. You see, there is never a dimension where conflict doesn't exist. They are all worlds where imperfect beings live. They will make mistakes, and those mistakes can truly cost them.

I mostly keep this shit in my head and I can make a huge list of it but dawg most of mine involves my silly interpretations- plus I seen people

It’s kinda a mess to think about but I’ll go to my personal favorites

X being chunky always gives me some feels for me, like he would fucking rock it. He’s actually more tanky then Zero while he’s sorta at times a glass canon (Mf Died like multiple times and X died Once). It derives from the idea of why he chose a thicker body, because the area of his stomach was pierced by Sigma like twice. So basically it gives him extra defense. Despite the it he’s just a Flexible as ever but a bit more slower.

Meaning that his “Stomach” area is incredibly sensitive and he will smack you on instinct if you touch it. He suffers phantom pains occasionally. It's a massive bitch but he got used to it.

X has a soft spot for children okay, since he’s very approachable to children, he would even let them draw on his armor. Babies are a definite weakness of his their tiny hands will make him cry so hard

So it would make sense that he would be a parent but he would rather settle down to start a Family in peace times and after he himself healed and rested.

Zero is kinda a low key creature, in the sense that he actually has retractable claws and can run on fours but only for extremely rare occasions. That's because he’s not only the ultimate war but also the ultimate predator. Aka he’s fucking lion coded

One of the reasons why X and Zero are always different compared to other Androids and shit is because they were made from Alien tech/Energy stuff. You can’t fucking tell that Dr Light didn’t used the material that Duo left to include that while making X right? And Zero…We all know Wily was on some crack (I’m always a believer that He used evil energy to create Roboenza and what could eventually become the Maverick Virus). And no one knew about the whole fiasco with Duo aside from Megaman and the others. So it makes sense that Light and wily (Possible Cossack knew something about it) Used it for their final creations.

Marty (From the MMX manga that I’m absolutely so normal about) has so much knowledge of Marine life and the ocean, Rescue worker regulations and information is insane. How the flying shit did a marine rescue worker end up as an infamous Pirate Queen is a mystery to anyone.

She's also tall and muscular and is absolutely more “Beast-like” (Having scales, fangs and retractable webbed claws) to give off a more intimidating impression to keep folks away from her and her crew.

Speaking of her Crew they are all composed of other marine Rescue types, a couple Human Cyborgs (and a few non cyborgs) and a few Repliforce defectors. (A small fun fact in my silly XxMarty Valentine manatee oneshot, Marty brought up Gale Albatross who’s actually a former Repliforce soldier that defected as soon as they declared independence not wanting to be apart of it but is untrusting towards the hunters).

She may not look like but she genuinely cares for everyone in her crew and would do anything to protect them. She also courted her hair after her fight with Byte back at X3 manga. She has matured over the years but still holds her mischievous/prideful personality.

Contrary to what it's led to believe her crew aren’t like…bad or act like actual pirates. It’s more like they are more of an independent group. Since that they deal with poaching, taking out criminals out of sea, providing relief for coastal communities that were strongly affected by war, etc…They just Red Alert if they weren’t Bounty hunters.

Axl is absolutely a Streamer and a bit of a meme master. He’s a deadly actor and trickster so watch out he fucking glad that he’s a goober!!

Since I’m on a Legends kick

Legends is underrated as shit I mean the potential is great! It’s so fucking expansive Idk where to start-

I’ll probably do some of mine at somepoint how they are Biomechanical creatures and how they diversified and evolved (The master basically granted them access to things that were lost that belonged to their Reploid ancestors.)
