your inzoi gameplay makes me want to play so much, but my laptop doesn't even meet the rec specs </3 i ran creative studio fine though, so i guess ill stick w that lol!
I’ve been in this boat, and it sucks, I bought TS3 even tho my potato PC at the time could barely run TS2, so I had to wait a bit to get a better one.
Ever since I’ve just gotten used to upgrading every 6-8 years atp, esp as I’ve expanded to playing other games, I remember working my butt off to get a “real” gaming PC just to play Fallout 4, and was so proud of myself. I lucked out this time, bc my mom loves what I do in games, on my blog, and how happy it makes me, and so she did me a solid, bc with all my other expenses it’s hard saving for big self-indulgent purchases.
Sucks how expensive gaming has gotten, but a lot of it has been bc of demand, a lotta ppl picked it up esp during the pandemic, and a lotta companies are taking advantage of that. Though like, if you love games, like rlly, rlly love them, like any other hobby, it’s well worth investing in.
You could always try it, and refund if it doesn’t work out. I definitely suggest running it with DLSS or DLAA if you’ve got a slightly newer Nvidia card. I’ve also seen some ppl getting it to work pretty well on Steamdecks and ROGs, if you wanna look into that, they’re definitely cheaper options in comparison to a full gaming rig, just be sure to do your research first, since 600 - 800 a pop is still a lot imo.

FUTURE ULTIMATE PHONE PEOPLE THINK
Google pixel 9pro
The Google Pixel 9 Pro is the new kid on the block in this year's lineup. The Pixel 8 Pro was succeeded by the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and the 9 Pro is a new addition to the portfolio - it is a compact, full-featured flagship with all of the bells and whistles of its bigger XL sibling
A compact Pixel is not a new concept in itself, of course, but this is the first time Google is bringing the entirety of its A-game to this form factor. The Pixel 9 Pro packs a 48MP, 5x optical periscope telephoto camera - the same as the Pixel 9 Pro XL. There is also UWB onboard the Pixel 9 Pro. Frankly, it's kind of amazing that Google managed to fit so much extra hardware inside what is essentially the same footprint as the non-Pro Pixel 9.
Google Pixel 9 Pro specs at a glance: Body: 152.8x72.0x8.5mm, 199g; Glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus 2), glass back (Gorilla Glass Victus 2), aluminum frame; IP68 dust/water resistant (up to 1.5m for 30 min). Display: 6.30" LTPO OLED, 120Hz, HDR10+, 2000 nits (HBM), 3000 nits (peak), 1280x2856px resolution, 20.08:9 aspect ratio, 495ppi; Always-on display. Chipset: Google Tensor G4 (4 nm): Octa-core (1x3.1 GHz Cortex-X4 & 3x2.6 GHz Cortex-A720 & 4x1.92 GHz Cortex-A520); Mali-G715 MC7. Memory: 128GB 16GB RAM, 256GB 16GB RAM, 512GB 16GB RAM, 1TB 16GB RAM; UFS 3.1. OS/Software: Android 14, up to 7 major Android upgrades. Rear camera: Wide (main): 50 MP, f/1.7, 25mm, 1/1.31", 1.2µm, dual pixel PDAF, OIS; Telephoto: 48 MP, f/2.8, 113mm, 1/2.55", dual pixel PDAF, OIS, 5x optical zoom; Ultra wide angle: 48 MP, f/1.7, 123-degree, 1/2.55", dual pixel PDAF. Front camera: 42 MP, f/2.2, 17mm (ultrawide), PDAF. Video capture: Rear camera: 8K@30fps, 4K@24/30/60fps, 1080p@24/30/60/120/240fps; gyro-EIS, OIS, 10-bit HDR; Front camera: 4K@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60fps. Battery: 4700mAh; 27W wired, PD3.0, PPS, 55% in 30 min (advertised), 21W wireless (w/ Pixel Stand), 12W wireless (w/ Qi-compatible charger), Reverse wireless. Connectivity: 5G; eSIM; Wi-Fi 7; BT 5.3, aptX HD; NFC. Misc: Fingerprint reader (under display, ultrasonic); stereo speakers; Ultra Wideband (UWB) support, Satellite SOS service, Circle to Search. Google also paid some extra attention to the display of the Pro. It is a bit bigger than the Pixel 8's and better than that inside the regular Pixel 9. The resolution has been upgraded to 1280 x 2856 pixels, the maximum brightness has been improved, and there is LTPO tech for dynamic refresh rate adjustment.

Power Detector+: Saving ROG Astral GPU With Current Spikes

GPU Tweak's Power Detector+ may detect anomalous current on ROG Astral graphics cards.
Power Detector+ for ASUS ROG Astral graphics cards allows you monitor your card at all times. This safety function keeps you informed of your graphics card's health.
What PowerDetector+ does
GPU Tweak III provides pin-by-pin current readouts from your GPU's power connection, helping you maximise Power Detector+. Any pin exceeding the 9.2 amp cable requirements will be detected.
Previous-generation ROG Astral, Astral LC, Astral, and Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 Platinum are Power Detector+-compatible.
Monitoring ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 power connections
You may inspect your ROG Astral graphics card's power connection many ways.
Check your card lights:
First, examine the card. The red LED power light on all ROG Astral graphics cards flashes during a current anomaly. Flashing lights indicate a problem. Again, everything happens on the hardware, thus no software is needed.
Check GPU Tweak Power Detector+:
GPU Tweak III's Power Detector+ area in the top-right corner provides extra information. Hovering over the card shows its pin configuration and current flow. This tool is useful for real-time monitoring if your multi-monitor or ultrawide arrangement lets Power Detector+ be open and visible alongside your game. A simple Alt-Tab works also.
Add OSD Power Detector+:
GPU Tweak III's OSD lets you monitor system information while gaming. Now that Power Detector+ is in the OSD, you may experiment with confidence on GPU power. You still need to alt-tab to see your GPU's specs and status, but this saves you time. GPU Tweak's OSD settings allow you to pick Power Detector+.
GPU Tweak III's OSD displays system metrics above your game window.
Enable an audible popup warning:
Also enable the OSD using the toggle on the right of the settings page. If your graphics card works, the OSD should show a “Normal” Power Detector+ line when everything finishes. If something is wrong, it will say “Warning”.
Turn on a warning popup.
In response to user demands, GPU Tweak III audibly reports problems. GPU Tweak III's gear icon in the upper-right corner opens the Settings menu. Scroll down the Settings menu's General tab to find Power Detector+. Check “enable Power Detector+ alert notice (Mainpage popup)”. Audio alerts will appear on this popup.
How to handle anomalies
If you detect anomalous current, you can attempt several solutions. First, secure the power line to the power source and graphics card. Second, use a high-quality power line to power your graphics card. All ASUS ROG power supply now contain a 12V-2×6 connection for the latest graphics cards. If you need a professional diagnosis, contact ASUS customer care.

The ROG Phone 8 Shows that ASUS Still Knows its Stuff
ASUS unveiled a ton of new and impressive tech just this month, and its ROG-series products were undoubtedly one of the main highlights of its hardware reveals. As such, the latest iteration of its smartphone line - the ROG Phone 8 series - is evidence that the Taiwanese manufacturer continues to have faith in its Android-powered hardware offerings. With that in mind, the ROG Phone 8 series builds on features that were introduced by its predecessors, while adding some new elements to the mix - let's take a look! Design and Display Perhaps the biggest change one would notice with the ROG Phone 8 is the approach to design. While the phones still retain a look and feel inspired by ASUS' other ROG offerings, they have a more minimalist look, at least when compared to models like the ROG Phone 6 and 7. Gone are the overly angular lines and seams on the rear panel, which have now been replaced by a more modest design. Some might even describe it as a refinement, especially given how "loud" earlier ROG Phones looked. With that being said, ASUS hasn't completely abandoned the gamer aesthetic - there's a glowing ROG logo on the back of the base model, while the Pro and Pro Editions feature what ASUS calls the "AniMe" display, a customizable mini-LED display on the bottom half of the rear. The upper left corner houses a camera island, which consists of a triple-lens setup, while the front of the phone is dominated by a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, complete with a 165Hz refresh rate, a maximum brightness of 2500 nits, and 720Hz touch sampling rate. Internal Specs and Software Of course, aside from their appearance, the ROG Phones are most notable for their performance, with ASUS always incorporating whichever high-end components are available at the time. For the ROG Phone 8 series, ASUS has included the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which works in tandem with up to a whopping 24GB of RAM, as well as up to 1TB of storage. The phone runs on a 5,500 mAh (typical) capacity unit, with support for wired 65W fast charging and as wireless 15W Qi-certified charging speeds. For most users, this might be overkill, but ASUS isn't exactly targeting the moderate smartphone crowd with these phones - one example is the amount of gaming-centric functions exclusive to the ROG phone line, as well as AI-integrated software features like X-Sense, X Capture, AI Grabber for gaming; AI Noise Cancellation, AI Wallpaper, and Semantic Search for lifestyle. The phone also features a rapid-cooling conductor setup, which according to ASUS is part of the advanced GameCool 8 thermal design, and works with the all-new AeroActive Cooler X clip-on cooler that can reduce the back cover temperature by as much as 26°C. Cameras, Pricing and Availability ROG Phones aren't exactly known for top-tier camera performance, but that doesn't mean that ASUS has cheaped out on the imaging hardware. The ROG Phone 8 series features a main shooter setup which consists of a 50MP main lens with a 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer 3.0, a 13 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32 MP telephoto with 3X optical zoom and OIS. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls, and ASUS says that this has been enhanced with an RGBW sensor that improves performance in low-light conditions, as well as a wider FOV that makes it ideal for group photos and such. Interested buyers in the UK can grab the ROG Phone 8 starting at £949.99 and £1,099 for the Pro model, from ASUS, select retailers, and authorized stores. Read the full article

Asus ROG Flow X13 will be Sold Without XG Mobile eGPU in the future
One of the most-hyped announcements of CES 2021 was Asus ROG Flow X13. The 13-inch convertible gaming laptop was getting so much attention for good reason. It is very rare to find a laptop that is lightweight, convertible, can be used for heavy gaming, and looks so stylish. However, there was one thing that was off-putting for a lot of people and that was the price. ROG Flow X13 came bundled with an XG MOBILE eGPU and was priced at $3,299.99. Despite the impressive specs, the consumers had reservations about the steep price of the machine.

But Asus marketing manager Sacha Krohn recently indicated in a podcast that the company was planning to sell ROG Flow X13 by itself in the future. The price was a huge shock for the consumers who were excited about the laptop but now according to some recent reports ROG Flow X13 might come at a starting price of $1,200 or $1,400. Although there is a little discrepancy in the report as of now the laptop will certainly cost somewhere between the two reported prices without the XG Mobile eGPU.
If the ROG Flow X13 is sold at $1,200 it would be an absolute steal considering the features. Although the internal GPU is entry-level it would be unwise to expect anything else at this price. The machine can be used as a general-purpose laptop. It has everything one could ask for-a a sturdy and unique design, 16:10 touchscreen, a great keyboard, and an eight-core processor. It would be impossible to find a laptop in the market that can compete with ROG Flow X13. Anyone looking for a machine that can handle CPU-intensive work will love this 13-inch convertible laptop.
The GeForce RTX 3080 XG Mobile will look expensive in comparison to the entry-level laptop. Krohn has also indicated that the laptop might also come with an RTX 3070 edition of the XG Mobile that would cost somewhere around $800 or $900. It will mean that the RTX 3080 configuration costs $1,000 more than the RTX 3070 XG Mobile. That would be a huge difference in price which might negatively impact consumer choices. But the price of the RTX 3070 is still uncertain and we will have to wait to see how much it costs.
Asus ROG Flow X13 weighs 2.9 pounds and is only 0.62 inches thick. One of the most impressive things about it is the ease of use. One can simply flip the screen and use the laptop as a tablet. But the battery backup is average. The laptop lasts only 6 hours but while playing games it lasts just over an hour which is disappointing. People looking for laptops with a solid battery backup must think twice before buying ROG Flow X13.
ROG Flow X13 is good entertainment and work laptop. It has the ideal screen for content consumption. The processor is also good enough to handle CPU-intensive work. The only downside to the machine is probably is its battery backup which might disappoint a lot of people. Barring that there is very little to complain about. Once Asus starts selling ROG Flow X13 without the XG Mobile eGPU, it would be an ideal laptop. The recent statements by the marketing manager must have rekindled the interest of a lot of users. We might see an increase in demand in the coming months.

HOLD ON THERE! WHO SAID RAZER CANNOT MAKE A DESKTOP PC? WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT THE RAZER TOMAHAWK?
Most of you gamers know Razer from its line of the gaming peripheral devices such as keyboards, mouse and not to forget, the Razer Blade laptop which has become a major player in the gaming world. I also know you are aware of the new Razer Blade 15, it’s amazing, isn’t it? Well, imagine if there was a desktop Razer. That is every great gamer’s dream, dream no more, your dream has been fulfilled.
Razer has made a revolution in the gaming world by making their new Razer Tomahawk desktop. It is not just any ordinary desktop. Is a game-changer. We will get to that, for now, let’s focus on the excitement. Imagine now you have the opportunity to game on a large screen resolution like the Asus ROG Swift PG279Q or the Acer Predator XB273K. Yeah! Don’t give me that look, now you are saying, “you can do that by connecting your Razer Blade 15 to a monitor via an HDMI cable.” That is true but it can never be as comfortable as using a desktop connected to a monitor.
That being, by the way, let us dig into how Razer Tomahawk is a game-changer and unique. To start with, Razer was making the Tomahawk with the aim of making a solid PC that can be upgraded by anyone. By saying ‘anyone’ I mean someone with no technical knowledge. If you want to change the RAM of your Razer Tomahawk, there is no need to go to a technician and empty your pocket. It is designed in a way that all the parts are replaceable and very easy to replace.
The other thing that makes the PC stand out beyond ordinary is how small it is. If you see the killer devices it looks like an external GPU being so different from the other gaming PCs.
Razer has gone really far, instead of using a heavy weighing motherboard on the Razer Tomahawk, they have used an Intel NUC Element modular computer which is really small if compared to a traditional PC. The lack of a traditional motherboard has made it impossible to attach a desktop processor to the Tomahawk. But all the other necessities required to make a gaming PC splendid such as storage, memory, Wi-Fi 6 radio and plenty of ports are there.
If you are a gamer that likes to be noticed while playing video games, like the Razer Blade laptops, Razer Tomahawks also has sparkling light colours that make your PC really attractive.
Thought Razer promised to release the PC to gamers this June, it has not provided all the details for the Tomahawk. The killer gaming machine will come out with a starting price of $2000. Not bad at all, for killer devices like this? The specs of the PC will include 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, RTX 20 GPU and a Core i7 processor. Razer will make an upgrade in the future by extending the memory to 64GB, replacing the Core i7 processor with a Core i9 processor and the graphics card will be a GeForce RTX 2080 Super.
You are sick and tired of plastic or metallic chassis? Razer has that covered. The Tomahawk has a glass chassis that makes it stand out as a gaming PC. The combination of the glass chassis and the colourfull lights, what else would you wish for. And what would ever be great like having a small than ordinary gaming PC that can make things happen fluently and is really easy and quick to upgrade the hardware?

NVIDIA TITAN RTX
NVIDIA's TITAN arrangement of designs cards has been a fascinating one since the dispatch of the first in 2013. That Kepler-based GTX TITAN model topped at 4.5 TFLOPS single-exactness (FP32), execution that was supported to 5.1 TFLOPS with the arrival of the TITAN Black the next year.
Quick forward to the current day, where we presently have the TITAN RTX, bragging 16.3 TFLOPS single-accuracy, and 32.6 TFLOPS of half-exactness (FP16). Twofold exactness (FP64) used to be standard admission on the prior TITANs, however today, you'll need the Volta-based TITAN V for opened execution (6.1 TFLOPS), or AMD's Radeon VII for in part opened execution (3.4 TFLOPS).
Of late, half-accuracy has collected a great deal of consideration by the ProViz showcase, since it's optimal for use with profound learning and AI, things that are developing in fame at an incredibly brisk pace. Add explicitly tuned Tensor centers to the blend, and profound learning execution on Turing turns out to be genuinely amazing.
NVIDIA TITAN RTX Graphics Card
Tensors are not by any means the only party stunt the TITAN RTX has. Like the remainder of the RTX line (on both the gaming and genius side), RT centers are available in the TITAN RTX, helpful for quickening continuous beam following outstanding tasks at hand. The centers should be explicitly bolstered by engineers, utilizing APIs, for example, DXR and VKRay. While support for NVIDIA's innovation began lukewarm, industry support has grown a great deal since the first disclosing of RTX at SIGGRAPH a year ago.
At E3 in June, a bunch of games had beam following related declarations, including Watch_Dogs: Legion, Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and obviously, Quake II RTX. On the plan side, a few designers have just discharged their RTX quickened arrangements, while a lot more are underway. NVIDIA has been gabbing of late about the Adobes and Autodesks of the world assisting with developing the rundown of RTX-implanted programming. We wouldn't be astonished if more RTX goodness was uncovered at SIGGRAPH this year once more.
For profound learning, the TITAN RTX's solid FP16 execution is quick all alone, however there are a couple of advantages locally available to help take things to the following level. The Tensor centers help in a significant part of the increasing speed, however the capacity to utilize blended exactness is another enormous part. With it, insignificant information following will be put away in single-accuracy, while the key information will get crunched into equal parts exactness. Everything consolidated, this can support preparing execution by 3x over the base GPU.
NVIDIA's TITAN RTX and GeForce RTX 2080 Ti - Backs
Likewise eminent for Turing is simultaneous number/coasting point tasks, which permits games (or programming) to execute INT and FP activities in equal without stumbling over one another in the pipeline. NVIDIA has noted in the past that with games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider, an example set of 100 guidelines included 62 FP and 38 INT, and that this simultaneous component legitimately improves execution accordingly.
Another significant element of TITAN RTX is its capacity to utilize NVLink, which basically consolidates the memory pools of two cards together, bringing about a solitary framebuffer that can be utilized for the greatest potential tasks. Since GPUs scale commonly very well with the sorts of outstanding tasks at hand the card focuses on, it's the genuine memory pooling that is going to offer the best advantage here. Gaming content that could likewise exploit multi-GPU would see an advantage with two cards and this connector, also.
Since it's an element selective to these RTX GPUs at the present time, it merits referencing that NVIDIA likewise packages a VirtualLink port at the back, permitting you to connect your HMD for VR, or in the most pessimistic scenario, use it as a full-fueled USB-C port, either for information move or telephone charging.
With the entirety of that secured, we should investigate the general current NVIDIA workstation stack:
NVIDIA's Quadro and TITAN Workstation GPU Lineup

5 GDDR6 (ECC); 6 GDDR5X (ECC); 7 GDDR5 (ECC); 8 HBM2 (ECC)
Design: P = Pascal; V = Volta; RTX = Turing
The TITAN RTX matches the Quadro RTX 6000 and 8000 for having the most elevated number of centers in the Turing lineup. NVIDIA says the TITAN RTX is around 3 TFLOPS quicker in FP32 over the RTX 2080 Ti, and luckily, we have results for the two cards covering a wide-scope of tests to perceive how they analyze.
What's not found in the specs table above is the real execution of the beam following and profound learning segments. This next table enables away from of that to up:
NVIDIA's Quadro and TITAN – RTX Performance
RT Cores RTX-OPS Rays Cast 1 FP16 2 INT8 3 Deep-learning 2
TITAN RTX 72 84 T 11 32.6 206.1 130.5
RTX 8000 72 84 T 10 32.6 206.1 130.5
RTX 6000 72 84 T 10 32.6 206.1 130.5
RTX 5000 48 62 T 8 22.3 178.4 89.2
RTX 4000 36 43 T 6 14.2 28.5 57
Notes 1 Giga Rays/s; 2 TFLOPS; 3 TOPS
You'll see that the TITAN RTX has a higher "beams cast" spec than the top Quadros, which may owe its gratitude to higher timekeepers. Different specs are indistinguishable over the best three GPUs, with evident downsizing occurring as we move descending. Right now, the Quadro RTX 4000 (approximately a GeForce RTX 2070 equal) is the most reduced end current-gen Quadro from NVIDIA. Once more, SIGGRAPH is nearly upon us, so it may be the case that NVIDIA will have an equipment shock coming up; maybe a RTX 2060 Quadro identical.
When the RTX 2080 Ti as of now offers so much execution, who precisely is the TITAN RTX for? NVIDIA is focusing on it to a great extent at scientists, yet it optionally goes about as one of the quickest ProViz cards available. It could be selected by the individuals who need the quickest GPU arrangement going, and also a colossal 24GB framebuffer. 24GB may be excessive for a ton of current perception work, yet with profound learning, 24GB gives a great deal of breathing room.
In spite of all it offers, TITAN RTX can't be called an "extreme" answer for ProViz since it comes up short on some Quadro enhancements that the namesake GPUs have. That implies in certain top of the line structure suites like Siemens NX, a genuine Quadro may demonstrate better. Yet, on the off chance that you don't utilize any outstanding tasks at hand that experience explicit upgrades, the TITAN RTX will be very appealing given its list of capabilities (and that framebuffer!) If you're at any point befuddled about advancements in your product of decision, if you don't mind leave a remark!
Two or three years prior, NVIDIA chose to give some affection to the TITAN arrangement with driver upgrades that brings some equality among TITAN and Quadro. We would now be able to state that TITAN RTX appreciates a similar sort of execution helps that the TITAN Xp completed two years prior, something that will be reflected in a portion of the charts ahead.
Test PC and What We Test
On the accompanying pages, the consequences of our workstation GPU test gauntlet will be seen. The tests picked spread a wide scope of situations, from rendering to figure, and incorporates the utilization of both manufactured benchmarks and tests with true applications from any semblance of Adobe and Autodesk.
Nineteen designs cards have been tried for this article, with the rundown commanded by Quadro and Radeon Pro workstation cards. There's a sound sprinkling of gaming cards in there also, in any case, to show you any conceivable streamlining that might be occurring on either.
It would be ideal if you note that the testing for this article was directed a few months prior, before an invasion of movement and item dispatches. Illustrations card drivers discharged since our testing may improve execution in specific cases, however we wouldn't anticipate any eminent changes, having mental soundness checked a lot of our typical tried programming on both AMD and NVIDIA GPUs. In like manner, the past rendition of Windows was utilized for this specific testing, yet that additionally didn't uncover any burdens when we rational soundness checked in 1903.
As of late, we've invested a ton of energy cleaning our test suites, and furthermore our interior testing contents. We're right now during the time spent rebenchmarking various GPUs for a forthcoming glance at ProViz execution with cards from both AMD's Radeon RX 5700 and NVIDIA's GeForce SUPER arrangement. Luckily, results from those cards don't generally eat into a top-end card like the TITAN RTX, so lateness hasn't thwarted us this time.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 review
If 2018 was the year of the notch, 2019 is the year of the 48MP smartphone. From Honor to OnePlus - it seems that every manufacturer is seeking to cash in on the trend.
Xiaomi has certainly opted not to be left behind, releasing multiple different devices sporting an inflated megapixel count. Of these, the Redmi Note 7, its budget champion, is the cheapest.
But more than a camera, it also comes with an array of numbers and acronyms picked to win any specification war at the price point. That is to say, it arrives with a 4,000mAh battery, an octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset, a glass rear, a bright 1080p screen with a stretched aspect ratio and a trendy teardrop notch.
For under £200 (roughly $260/AU$370), it certainly does seem to be a steal, but with a host of manufacturers competing in this hotly sought area, does the Redmi Note 7 do enough to cement its place at the top?

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 price and availability Out now in the UK Starts at £179 (around $230/AU$330) Currently in the UK, the 3GB/32GB variant of the Redmi Note 7 is available directly from Xiaomi for £179 (around $230/AU$330). No availability has been confirmed for the US, or for Australia.
Global versions of the device are available from a number of different vendors as an import, often for a lot less, but carrying the obvious dangers of no warranty, and with the possibility that customs charges may be applied.
Key features 48MP main camera mostly takes 12MP photos Decent Snapdragon 660 chipset No NFC It must be said again, the Redmi Note 7 is a collection of megapixels with a phone attached. Hidden within its rear camera housing these sit, in theory gathering buckets of data. In the day to day, the camera does function a little differently - instead gathering information from four pixels at a time and combining them.
This means that despite the jaw-dropping megapixel count, image output is generally limited to 12MP, but benefits accordingly from improved dynamic range and low-light performance.
Powering all of this is the Snapdragon 660, the same octa-core chipset powering the likes of the Nokia 7 Plus.

Built on a 14nm fabrication process, this offers improved heat management, performance and power efficiency compared to older chips, and the likes of the Snapdragon 636 in the Redmi Note 6 Pro. The processor is backed up with either 3 or 4GB of RAM.
In addition a powerful chipset and camera, the Redmi Note 7 also benefits from an almost all glass build. Though it sports plastic sides, it has a toughened glass rear to add a premium feel to proceedings, though it isn’t quite as striking as the likes of the Honor 10.
However, there is no NFC, which will be a deal-breaker for those who like to make contactless payments with their phone.
Design Glass front and back with plastic sides Tends to slip off surfaces Advertisement
From the front, the Redmi Note 7 is every inch a modern smartphone. Sporting an insignificant teardrop notch, the display covers almost everything, really giving that immersive experience. And at 6.3 inches, it is a large panel, though it doesn’t really feel it due to the slim body.
The sides of the device are made from a glossy plastic which isn’t quite as premium as the likes of the stainless steel rails on the iPhone XS, but still maintains a relatively durable feel. One small concern is the fact that the plastic is glossy, meaning it will pick up scratches as though they’re going out of style without the included TPU case.

Turning to the rear, the situation is once again a full sheet of glass. While it does feel nice in the hand, the same concerns around durability once again apply.
That's especially true as this is a device with a death wish. No matter the surface or the incline, the Redmi Note 7 will find a way to slide off and plummet towards the floor.
At 186g, it certainly isn’t an insubstantial device, however due to the light materials and the slim nature of the handset, it isn’t heavy in the hand and still delivers a nice heft that cheaper devices can sometimes lack.
In all, this is a well-built handset which follows current trends to a T, if not setting any new ones itself.
Screen 6.3-inch 1080 x 2340 screen Good but not great quality At 6.3 inches, there is little else to notice on the Redmi Note 7 at first glance other than its massive screen.
With only a small notch cutting in, this is a panel made for watching videos and consuming content. At 1080 x 2340, it is also sharp enough to please all but the most ardent of pixel peepers while also offering a resulting bump in battery life over QHD+ phones.

In general use, we found that while the screen has no major flaws, it also doesn't really stand out.
Although the brightness does go high enough for most situations, a direct hit from the summer sun will see legibility vanish. And while it is possible to tune colors mostly to your liking using the screen calibration tool, out of the box a strong blue cast is obvious in the whites.
Regardless, viewing angles are good - in all this is a screen which fits the price point exactly and is what one might expect. What that means to the average consumer will depend on their expectations, but for most it is likely to be more than enough.
