Ronin Warriors is still one of my favorite cartoons. I recently watched a few episodes, and was shocked to see how much the team got knocked around.

Even with them not being as unstoppible as I remember, Some members of the crew(Namely Kento and no one else) still manage to look pretty cool even in defeat.

Sonja learns the Way of the Samurai in Samurai Sonja

Set in Sengoku Jidai, where a daughter of a slain Samurai takes on his sword and set out to prove herself worthy of her family's legacy.

When her journey goes awry, she encounters the goddess Amaterasu who gifts her a magical armor and powerful weapons to slay beasts.

Samurai Sonja combines elements of real-world Japanese history with the unique mythology of that culture as well. This new vision of Sonja will be encountering legendary creatures from Japanese folklore, including the Demon King, Shuten-Dōji.

It's also the perfect pickup for someone who's never read a Red Sonja comic in their life. While the creative team is also pulling inspiration from other major samurai classics like Samurai Jack, the Vagabond, and the masterpieces of filmmaker Akira Kurosawa.

So. 47 Jerks... I mean, Ronin. I rarely see butchering worldbuilding so badly. They use a real historical event, turn it into a full-fledged fantasy, then throw into this fantasy world a Tokugawa shogun of all things! Bitch, if you want to go fantasy, fine, I'll be the last person to object, but if you establish that supernatural is a fucking thing in your world, then don't you fucking dare give me a mere shogun as a supreme leader! Just don't!

Also, Hiro, my heart and soul, you have done nothing wrong, and I love you.

While Rise of the Ronin’s dry storytelling, unsatisfying loot system, and bloated open world leave something to be desired, its core gameplay is great, with Rise of the Ronin’s stylish combat and kinetic traversal mechanics making it worth a look if you’re in the market for an open-world game. Just don’t expect to find anything too revolutionary within it.

Kall meg gammel, men jeg har fortsatt blant annet Tom Cruise sin film “The Last Samurai” ferskt i minne og ikke minst Keanu Reeves “47 Ronin” og nå nylig TV serien Shogun som driver å baker seg godt inn i hjernebarken. Rise of the Ronin - Gameplay

After going through a fairly extensive character creation system for one blade and using a preset for our ally, we learn that our twin sheathed blades have undergone training all their lives for revenge on the Shogunate and when the first mission arrives, the pair find themselves incredibly overpowered. After the loss of a valuable ally, our lone protagonist continues their adventure in a surprisingly detailed open world in Rise of the Ronin.
