The findings showed that SME businesses should concentrate on environmental factors (EF), as this is the element that has been most consistently linked to BI effectiveness in company organisations.

The market has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic about business intelligence (BI) in recent years. According to Gartner, BI spending rose by 16 percent to $12.9 billion in 2012. Meanwhile, more than 56% of organisations are considering increasing their use of BI, according to a CIO poll of 251 IT directors. The concern is that large corporations are advancing while small, medium-sized businesses are left behind and unable to keep up with their rapid advance.The reality is that most businesses are aware of the advantages of BI tools, which can handle massive amounts of unstructured data to create, recognise, and generate new strategic business prospects. The basic objective of BI is to make it possible for these massive amounts of data to be easily interpreted. A competitive market advantage and long-term stability for firms to prosper can be provided by identifying new opportunities and putting into practise an effective and feasible plan based on data insights. But BI tools still offer historical and prognostic perspectives of corporate activities. Online analytical processing, data mining, reporting, analytics, process mining, business performance management, complex event processing, text mining, benchmarking, prescriptive analytics, and predictive analytics are among the frequently utilised features of business intelligence technology.

There are numerous SME technology-based companies in Malaysia that have been investigated. However, implementing Business Intelligence (BI) systems is woefully inadequate, despite the fact that a comprehensive and competent BI strategy is critical to business success. Almost every process of business growth encounters a lack of business intelligence. Any team of business organisations has difficulty sorting through reports to find the right data, which weakens the decision-making process. A few forward-thinking companies have implemented a unified and effective system that can grow with the company rather than becoming obsolete in a couple of years. This type of system pays dividends in payroll hours, which are more efficient, forecasting is more accurate, and streamlined processes are more productive.Adoption of business intelligence is critical today for any organization's smooth and coordinated operation. As a result, the use of BI is becoming more common in organisations across industries. Nonetheless, it has been discovered that some Malaysian SMEs that invested in BI did not reap the promised benefits.Thorough examination and validation of BI readiness are still required. As a result, it is imperative to evaluate the efficiency of business intelligence implementation. This study will concentrate on examining the most important aspects and the justification for BI use across the organisation.

Data consistency, which means that the data values are the same across all instances of an application or across all different data sets, is an important concept to understand. Data consistency is essential to the operation of databases, systems, programmes, and applications in businesses. Data completeness is also crucial in order to satisfy the requirements of the present and future demand for information. Data completeness makes ensuring that the aforementioned requirement is met. Complete information can provide the decision-maker in a corporate organisation with precise counsel.

Therefore, using BI to develop demographics from data could improve the security of a company's data for its produced output and work to address the operational issues and procedures that help businesses execute at a high level. Malaysia, like a few other countries, has a large participation in the SME sector, which has played an important role in economic development over the last few decades. According to International Islamic University Malaysia, however, adoption of BI technology is yet to emerge in order to compete with other large industries for better customer understanding and to accelerate business processes in Malaysia.
