where is mia in your mold family au? do her and ethan co-parent rose (+evie)? i like to think even separate they still love each other but she wishes ethan hadnt fallen for a man who stinks so bad

im gonna make a comic about this but yes, they co-parent rose for sure, she stays every other week with mia. neither mia or evie would be comfortable having anything to do with eachother though.

in this au i think mia and ethan got separated, not because they dont love eachother, they just cant even begin to act normal after everything they went through. as much as mia would like to forget the past and be a nice happy family again it leaves a hole where closure should be for ethan. That being said, i still think after theyve processed the trauma and grief over their divorce they’d still care for eachother very deeply and go on walks when they pick up rose from eachother etc.

as for mia’s opinion on karl.. she’s very wary about him (he’s a prick), but whatever makes ethan’s happy (even if he does have terrible taste..)

where you are heard - how badly does your throat ache? when was it that you started yelling? screaming for a split second of recognition in their eyes. i think i heard you last night, right before i fell asleep, an echo of some sorts. you remember everything and it has rightfully made you angry. there's a part of you that lost its trust in humanity. you've tried it. you've sat them down and explained it, you've written the poems and the stories, you've tried your hand at composing the tunes that match your inner worlds. you've drawn pretty pictures. you've tried, with every last bit of energy inside of you, to translate what you've been meaning to say. i want to ask you to tell me about it, to scream, to demand that i hear you. i wish i could be next to you. it's so simple, this thing you desire. to have someone just look at you, for once, and truly see you, see their eyes light up with all that you've been thinking. i hope you can look in the mirror and see yourself, as wonderful as you are, breathe in deeply, breathe out. know that you are here, that you are yours. that you will always be there to listen to yourself. be gentle with your heart, despite the anger oh please, be gentle. the day will come, when you will be holding yourself in your arms, the most beautiful love you'll have ever found, and i promise you people will come along and recognise the image you have painted. they will sit next to you. they'll hear you before you say a word. you'll be like art to them, the way you're art to yourself, the way even the river sees you walk by and silently sighs her admiration.

where you are free - is it not that you enjoy feeling different, is it that you simply Are? how long have you been wanting to run away? even if you have 20 posters hanging on your bedroom walls, when you pull one of them back there's a secret tunnel and in the corner of your closet there's a packed bag. you're being blamed for "running away" from yourself, but they don't get that you want to run Towards yourself. you discovered some secrets a long time ago but you don't really see the point sharing them with anyone but yourself. this could've come from an eternal conviction of who you are, or it comes from having absolutely no idea. that's the thing. you don't really want to define any of it, you want to experience it, explore it, and then travel to the new cluster of feelings. as much as you can, as gently as you can. you're a collector of memories and emotions. you understand that you can be your only certainty in life. but maybe you're not quite there yet, maybe you're frustrated and stuck. maybe you're angry, years and years of people depending on you while you could barely turn to anyone. you need to be where you are free. i hope you understand that doesn't mean you Have to be alone. in the end it's all about finding our people isn't it? i'm confident you'll find yours. those who'll love you when you're right in front of them but also when you're far away. those who'll respect your independence just as you respect theirs. there's a magnificent middle ground between two such souls that you could explore as much as your heart desires. you're doing well, keep going, let us know what you find.

where you are understood - you, i recognize you. you constantly chase this beautiful, desire to understand and be understood in return, yet more often than not you find yourself tripping over your own feet. what does it truly mean, to you, to "understand"? i can't say, i can't know. but i can share what i think, if you'll allow me. we're ever-changing, the world is ever-changing, our friends are ever-changing, when our desire to understand is limited to understanding things how we, as an individual, perceive them right now, we can get lost in time, we get frustrated, we become so many things we never intended to become. you're ridiculously intelligent and harbor such unique love for the tiniest details of our existence. there's probably nothing i could tell you that you haven't told yourself, and you're probably already writing up a counter-argument to everything you conclude from this (i wish i could sit down with you and listen to every word). the thought of you makes me smile. i wish a lot for you. i hope you can relax. i hope you can allow your emotions to be what they are. to allow yourself to be who you are. i hope you can find people who will ask you just as much as you ask yourself, people you feel safe with, safe to answer, to enjoy giving and taking with an absence of judgement. safe to bounce ideas off of and - at the end of the day - to simply embrace and be embraced back. hearts overflown with silent knowledge.

Rosemary

where you are loved - how miraculous it is, that you, feeling so small and fragile are so full of desire to reach out. i picture the sun, a gentle sun, a soft sun, treasured inside your body. i picture a little bird freely fluttering in your chest, it's singing the prettiest of songs. you can't help but reach, you reach with everything you are. you reach for your family, your friends, for strangers you share a second of eye contact with, for that one pretty cat you saw 8 months ago, you reach for yourself. it's not a secret that the universe is spun together with infinite particles of love, and it's so obvious that you were spun from the same fabric. you're the hope that someone can do better, you're the conviction that everything will be okay. you're the one that's been hurt time and time again and you've hurt yourself more than anyone else but here you are still. flying, shining and singing of the littlest bits of hope. oh my pretty thing. i wish for you every day and i plead you may receive even just a spark of the magic you so easily give. i plead you may see your face in the mirror and feel that sun inside light up and shine brighter than it ever has. i wish you someone, or many someones, to share with. wish you kisses, cuddles and laughter. i want to thank you. i want to ask you to never stop reaching for yourself. i want to marvel at the parts you find within your soul. every single part as magnificent and breathtakingly beautiful as the next.

Thea

where you are comforted - not shattered, not cracked, just hurt. you've grown so used to this state you call "permanent" that you sometimes feel you're nothing at all. you've carried it alone, you've turned your pain into certainty and reassurance. it's still there, it's always there, and you're afraid they might take it from you if you showed them everything. why would you be the only one who's not allowed to exist? why would you not have the right to be loved and held and treasured? people don't think of you as sneaky or resilient but you Are. you're like water, you fill your own gaps and those of others, you're a source of life, hope and stability - a lake to build your village next to - and so many have done exactly that. but you're also a hurricane turned inwards, a tsunami that's not allowed to come ashore. a storm in a glass bottle marveled at by the "saviors" like you're an animal in a zoo. you deserve better than that, and you're allowed to think and scream out loud that you deserve better than that. you deserve comfort without being patronized. you deserve people who don't connect your sadness and pain to weakness nor romanticize any of it. you deserve people who pay attention, and who see you for who you are, every single expression and mannerism part of a whole. a complete person that's allowed to cry, laugh and exist as much as they wish, in whichever way they wish to do so.

I’m just realizing that my headcanon for Bela is being born on August 2 which is the same birthday as Rose and Daniela has both of them to celebrate on the same day which can be a challenge.

Bela is important to her. Very important. There is no way she’d skip her big sister’s birthday but she also can’t skip her girlfriend’s birthday because she loves Rose.

Bela’s birthday party is usually very extravagant and big. She doesn’t half do things and her birthday is always something huge. The party lasts all day, and even when it’s over (we’ll into the next day because it extends well after midnight) Daniela knows that she can’t just leave and celebrate with Rose.

Luckily, Rose is unlike Bela and doesn’t usually go for something huge.

Rose doesn’t have large numbers of friends, which usually means that the party is small and cozy. Honestly, it’s a stark difference from what Bela does.

So Daniela starts the day by celebrating Rose. She books her all morning and well into the afternoon. Yes, there is a party with their friends later, but she wants to spend time with Rose alone.

And Rose loves it.

It usually starts with Daniela picking her up in the morning and she’d take them to a hotel. She’d have booked a suite for the day, and the two of them can spend uninterrupted time together enjoying each other’s company.

They leave in the very late afternoon; Rose would celebrate with her parents before heading out with her friends. And Daniela needs to go home and get ready for Bela’s party.

It’s not very ideal, but Daniela loves both her sister and her girlfriend. It’s unfortunate that both of them are born on the same day, but she found a working solution.
