I remember seeing this guy talk about raising his sons and it kind of made me think of a modern AU Dadan and how I think she would also use one of the methods this guy mentioned. I don't remember the guy who posted or how long ago it was before it resurfaced in my brain, but essentially. he knew his boys needed to rough house, get out the energy of being well behaved all day so he bough a few gym mats and punching dummy's and threw these kids (lightly) around. Which, in of its self, is an amazing thing to give a small boy? a place to be rough and tumble and loud, an outlet for the exhaustion of the day and a place where they could actually practice their strength.

Now the ASL brothers are by no means as gentle and really they're fighting with teeth and claws regardless. but I love the mental image of like. After hours of these boys fighting every second of the day. who gets the first bath, who gets the bigger sandwich, who has to sit middle in the car, who gets the good snack or the last serving or the shower or the top bunk. or whatever other reason they decide to have a BRAWL IN THE FUCKING LIVING ROOM. Dadan finally gave in. going round back of an gymnasium she manages to score some old worn out tumble mats. drags them out to the shed and says "this is where you fight. not in the bedroom. not in my kitchen. not at school. here. and the only rule is you cant cause enough physical injury to have CPS called in my ass again."

now when an adult gives you a round about way to let you beat your siblings ass? you're gonna take it. and the collection grew, second hand boxing gloves, pool noodles cardboard shields and the dangerous stay piece of bamboo. they had their battle arena and would run home to settle a fight from hours before. And also gave Dadan a reason to kick them out of the actual fucking house when they got too rowdy over mario kart.

Of course they still got hurt. punches too hard, slamming into the concrete, a lost tooth a broken limb. But I truly think those memories of running to the shed to fight over who got the last slice of dessert at 9pm must be some of those boys favourites. Dadan considered it a slightly duller head ache

I’m not fishing for compliments when I say this, but when I think about it, it’s not like I’ve made some monumental impact here by posting fics. The long awaited Boone fan art is as finished as I’m willing to deal with at this moment. I decided to have three versions at my partners suggestions that he’d maybe get a memorial tattoo for his dead wife. OFF the charts. straight off of them. there's a handful of people who Honey'd dole out the five/"maximum" score for, but this man goes above and beyond the call off duty to be as unbelievably gorgeous as possible... which shouldn't come as much of a surprise, considering she can hardly go five minutes in his presence without straight up telling him that he's the most beautiful thing she's laid eyes on. Silky, silver hair and sharp, vibrant green eyes; strong physique and a sense of style which suits him... Honey doesn't flatter him just because he's so gratifying to tease and has the best responses—she does it because she can't help it! She gets repeatedly sidelined just looking at him, and feels compelled to remind him of the fact!

One might suggest that a certain someone is drawn to the bright, shiney, radiant types, with his track record, but also: Riku has the heart and mentality of a knight, looking to serve and lend his strength/skill where he's needed, and Honey is a girl with a princess complex eager to lavish praise in exchange for doting. A match made, it would seem. In all seriousness: she likes Riku a lot. She's seen the slightly broody, serious side, and adores it to no end, but she's also seen him be snarky, playful, and sincere in the right company, and she finds genuine joy in the opportunities to draw on some of those lighter qualities, herself. He's fun to be around, and also has enough good sense and resolve to balance her hyperbolic, impulsive tendencies... and he feels safe to be around. Some rare qualities, indeed.

I’m SO burnt out right now, before I continue into drawing other My Time At Sandrock characters or anything else for that matter I NEED to redraw Logan, I hadn’t gotten very far in the story with him, so I didn’t understand him very well. During the time I haven’t been able to draw, my character has married him, I feel a better understanding of his character on a much better level and it’s made me LOATHE the art I made of him </3

SO I am going to redraw him in a more tender, but still suggestive way. I’m also thinking of doing a series where I show the confession quests BUT only the ones I have experienced! So I will do my artistic duty of sinking ANOTHER 180+ hours into the game later to really help understand these people I’m drawing. I also thought about a series where the different spouses ask about kids to the builder, obvi I will be taking artistic liberty.

So the agenda as it stands is:

~Stop being burnt out!

~Redraw Logan (all the Logan lovers get a freebie just because sometimes I hate my creations) and maybe draw my builder so I can do some multi person poses? (She’s based off of me, so like not much creativity, but I’d have fun with her outfit)

~Finish drawing the characters on the vote in order, as it stands I think next in line after Logan are Fang and Pen

~Put so many Hours into this game

~Start planning out possible series ie: confession quests, asking to have a kid, maybe unique quest line stuff, but no main story spoilers if I can help it, etc.

~Possibly do a nsfw series of them as my partner has volunteered to be a reference
